Madison is a fun game to write about. It's a puzzle horror game set in your traditional haunted house, aiming at a P.T. or Layers Of Fear vibe down the viewfinder of a Polaroid camera. Said camera was a second-hand gift for Luca's (that's you!) 16th birthday. It is also possessed by a demon, which is where the fun comes in, "fun" here meaning jump scares and hallucinatory clocks. Let that be a lesson to anyone thinking of getting their son something that was evidence in a murder as a present. This is one of many bad choices characters in Madison made. They are mostly now dead.

The game itself sometimes makes very good choices, though it's about 50/50 that it goes a bit too weird and ends up being silly. This makes for an intriguing mixture, especially with a complicated story of murder and neglect spanning decades, and by the end I was extremely fond of the way the sublime and the ridiculous sat side by side. The main let down isn't that Madison sometimes makes you giggle by accident, but that its multi-stage puzzles become so drawn out that you stop jumping at creepy angels and terrifying violin squeals. You've got numbers to write down and candles to move, and you don't have time for any demonic antics right now, godammit.

Today Nippon Ichi Software released a new trailer of the upcoming RTS remaster GrimGrimoire OnceMore.

The trailer focuses on Sorcery, one of the kinds of magic available in the game, allowing you to summon specific familiars to do your bidding.

We get to see Imp, the Guardian, the Demon the Grimalkin, and the Dragon in action, showing the full range of familiars available to summon and fight when using Sorcery runes.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will support both English and Japanese-language voice tracks upon launch. However, unlike Xenoblade Chronicles 2, players won't need a separate download to install their preferred voice track. Instead, the initial Xenoblade 3 game install is dual audio. This means it contains both voice tracks, and will let players choose their preferred voice language from the outset.

Today, Amazon Studios dropped a freshly-cut teaser trailer showcasing their upcoming prequel series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power show. The highly-anticipated TV adaptation is scheduled to arrive exclusively on Amazon Prime on Sept. 2, 2022.

Clocking in at just under one minute long, the new video ushers in an entirely new era of Middle-earth to our small screens. You see, The Rings of Power is actually set thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings. So, it’s fair to say that the Middle-earth we know so well, will be a very different place indeed.

In the footage, we get to see pockets of civilization, as well as elves, dwarves, and even a brief glimpse at a handful of ents. What the mysterious fire in the sky is, well, that’s still very much a conundrum right now. However, Amazon is teasing another trailer for the show that will drop on July 14 which may help answer that question and shed some light on the narrative fans can expect to see.

When Rapu laughs at his calls for help and then tries to kill Gorr for insulting him, Gorr takes up the Necrosword and kills Rapu. After getting the sword, he then becomes possessed by its evil, pledging to kill all the rest of the gods with it – as its the only sword that can kill gods – since his failed to help him.

Alongside killing gods in Thor: Love and Thunder, the blade allows its wielder to create a shroud of Berserkers constructed out of the darkness and razor-sharp tendrils made of shadows. He is also able to move at insane speeds and can teleport through shadows.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum's long journey to release nears its end, and after getting a release date and story trailer in May, curious fans can finally see what gameplay looks like in a new video. 

A short trailer provides a montage of the stealth-oriented gameplay as well as Gollum’s emphasis on climbing and platforming to traverse Middle-earth landmarks. The game looks noticeably rough considering it’s launching in two months which is worrisome, but hopefully, it plays better than it appears at the moment. 

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launches September 1 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is also coming to Switch sometime later this year.

Rockstar have confirmed that they won’t support their digital Westworld of Red Dead Online with any further major content updates, as the development of the next Grand Theft Auto takes priority. The news came via a post on Rockstar’s newswire blog. Players among the Red Dead Online community have been vocal about their disappointment at the game’s apparent lack of support, with some even deciding to organise a funeral for the multiplayer cowboy spin-off scheduled for July 13th.

The DioField Chronicle will launch on September 22, 2022 in Japan and overseas. After confirming the news last week, Square Enix and developer Lancarse released a launch date trailer for The DioField Chronicle. It shows a mix of gameplay and narrative footage. It highlights characters involved in the story, as well.

The DioField Chronicle launch date trailer highlights the game's aesthetic. The game world blends magical fantasy with early-industrial elements. Soldiers wield spears, bows, and swords and wear armor, but also fight with firearm-style weapons and enter battle on metal ships bearing artillery cannon. Amidst the chaos of war, a band of elite, independent mercenaries called Blue Fox arises, their deeds entering legend.

Characters like Andreas Rhondarson, Fredret Lester, Iscarion Colchester, Waltaquin Redditch lead The Blue Fox. They're shown questioning their actions and making decisions about how to involve themselves in the war that grips the land of The DioField Chronicle.

Today Nintendo shared a new video of its upcoming JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 3, featuring the voice-overs.

The video features a scene of the game alternating Japanese and English voice-overs. While it isn’t a direct comparison, because you won’t hear the same lines in different languages, it still provides a good idea of what you may expect.

It’s also a good way to advertise the fact that both voice tracks are included out of the box and no additional download is required.

The next chapter in Valorant’s rapid ascension to esports notoriety is about to unfold. Starting this weekend on Sunday, the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) heads to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the second big Masters event of the year. It’s a familiar format to previous events, with 12 teams from around the globe battling it out for their share of what is expected to be around $500,000, and of course, the coveted title of a world championship series to their name. But there is one notable difference this time around.

The good news is Fall Guys is crossplay, meaning players on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles can all play with one another.

There are a few things you’ll need to do in order to play with your friends on different platforms, though, and it’s all tied to your Epic Games account.

Checking Your Epic Games Account Username & Tying it to Your Console Accounts

When you first start up Fall Guys, you’ll be asked to confirm that you want to tie your console’s account to your Epic Games account. If you’ve played Fortnite on that platform before with an Epic Games account, it’ll automatically suggest that. If you haven’t it’ll suggest a username based on your console’s online profile.

As long as you’ve confirmed this, you’ll then be able to give this Epic Games account username out to your friends. If you’re ever unsure of your Epic Games account, you can open the social menu with the touchpad, View button, or Minus button to open the Social menu and check your name at the top of the list.

Adding Friends’ Epic Games Accounts

In order to invite and play Fall Guys with friends on different platforms, you’ll need to add one another’s Epic Games accounts within the game itself.

HoYoVerse has released some information on the upcoming new 4-star character, Heizou, in Genshin Impact. He will be part of the first Version 2.8 banner, alongside returning 5-star Kazuha. Heizou will be the game’s first male Catalyst user, and he will be of the Anemo element.

Though he is a Catalyst user, Heizou’s combat animations utilize a lot of martial arts moves. In his character video, he discusses what his beliefs are as a detective, as well as how useless resorting to violence is against him. His Elemental Skill, Heartstopper Strike, can charge up to four stacks for increased damage. Meanwhile, his Elemental Burst, Windmuster Kick, deals AoE Anemo damage.

Nintendo announced two new games coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass library, including Custom Robo and Custom Robo V2 for the N64. However, Custom Robo and its sequel will only be available to Expansion Pass subscribers in Japan. Instead, global subscribers will receive Pokemon Puzzle League. Both games will be available starting July 15, 2022, at no additional cost to subscribers.

Custom Robo is a sci-fi RPG originally released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64. Players would control a small robot and battle against other robots, collecting parts that could be used to customize their character. Many of the series' games were exclusive to Japan, with the international releases being Custom Robo: Battle Revolution for the GameCube and Custom Robo Arena for the Nintendo DS.

Both Custom Robo and Custom Robo V2 will support local and online multiplayer on the Nintendo Switch. Custom Robo will support up to two players, while Custom Robo V2 will support up to four players at once. Furthermore, much like last month's Pokemon Snap N64 release, players will be able to customize their button bindings if they do not have the N64 controller.

Rockstar has told fans not to expect any further major updates for Red Dead Online, as it continues to shift development resource towards Grand Theft Auto 6.

It's bad news for Red Dead Online players, who have for some time complained the game had been underserved and overlooked by Rockstar in comparison to the more lucrative GTA Online.

Now, Rockstar has laid out its plan to keep Red Dead Online on life support and acknowledged its greater focus on GTA6.

It is time to take another trip to Middle Earth, this time with the precious-seeking Gollum.

A new trailer for the upcoming release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has given us all a closer look at gameplay. Here, we see the titular Gollum scaling walls, skulking in the shrubbery, and popping off orcs with rocks.

We also get to have a closer look at some of the other characters from Middle-earth. These include Gandalf and the elven king Thranduil, a mysterious new elf (who I suspect may be Mel from the preview I was invited to earlier this year), the Nazgûl and the eight-legged wonder Shelob. Facebook's parent company has detailed its new Meta account system, which will be offered as an alternative way of logging in to Meta VR devices.

Previously-announced plans to make Facebook logins a requirement for Meta VR headsets had been hugely unpopular and plagued with problems.

Pokemon GO has completed six years of its successful launch, and Niantic is celebrating this massive occasion via the in-game Anniversary 2022 event. It goes without saying that developers have brought a bunch of new content to the table, including an adorable Party Hat Charizard. How To Catch Party Hat Charizard in Pokemon GO

Similar to other event-exclusive Pokemon, Party Hat Charizard spawns out in the wild with a boosted spawn rate. As a result, catching Party Hat Charizard is not a daunting task as the Pokemon will appear more frequently.

However, it’s worth noting that you’d only be able to grab it while the Anniversary 2022 event is underway. The event commenced on July 6 at 10:00 AM and will continue until July 12 at 8:00 PM Local Time. So make sure to grab the Party Hat Charizard before the event concludes.

Third-party developer WF Scenery Studio recently released Beijing Capital International Airport (ZBAA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

As the primary airport serving the capital of China, and one of the most relevant in the world in terms of passenger traffic, this is the perfect base if you want to simulate airliner flights in the country. It’s also a good destination for VIP flights with business jets and it plays host to some cargo traffic, offering great variety.

It can be purchased on SimMarket for $24.32 plus applicable VAT, and it can be installed and updated via the store’s own client, which isn’t the best in its category, but it’s workable.

If you’d like an extensive look at the scenery, you can watch an ILS approach and landing on runway 36R in the first video below, and a full flyover in a variety of lighting and weather conditions in the second video.

Do keep in mind that the airliners you see in the videos aren’t part of the scenery (they come from a couple of third-party AI solutions) as Beijing airport does not include static aircraft.

The Asylum Challenge has made its way to The Sims 4 after first being created for The Sims 2. This is one of the many challenges for The Sims 4 that has a fun story behind it and gameplay rules that are both challenging and pretty entertaining. How to Do the Asylum Challenge in The Sims 4

The Asylum Challenge doesn’t actually assume your Sim is crazy, nor does it task you with making them go crazy. Instead, you are tasked with trying to prove that the exact opposite is true. The story behind the Asylum Challenge is that your Sim has been forcefully admitted to a run down mental hospital and nobody believes that this Sim is actually perfectly sane.

Until you can prove you don’t belong inside the asylum, you will be stuck there with seven other Sims. In addition to dealing with these strangers, your living environment is nothing that anyone would envy as budget cuts to the asylum have led to some pretty questionable living conditions for the patients here.

So how do you escape and get the opportunity to be a part of society again? You just have to prove to your psychiatrist that you aren’t crazy by achieving your Aspiration. This would usually be a pretty simple task but given the circumstances surrounding you, the challenge is much more difficult than it seems at first glance.

Hot off the heels of The Quarry, another horror-filled game from Supermassive is coming our way. This time, we're heading back to its Dark Pictures series, with The Devil in Me.

A new trailer for this upcoming release has given us two things. The first is a launch window of this autumn. The second is an unnerving look at the game's Saw-like story, which sees a group of film makers make their way to to a replica of the 'Murder House' of HH Holmes, America's first serial killer. Obviously, things are not going to go smoothly for our group of intrepid young'uns.

Unlike previous entries in its Dark Pictures series, The Devil in Me does not appear going down the paranormal or supernatural route. Rather, it looks to be rooted in a pretty grim but very believable reality akin to the aforementioned Saw and the Hostel series of films. There are traps for our unsuspecting victims to trigger, there're torture rooms, there is tension, and there are some creepy-as mannequins. You can see for yourself below.

Cheats are a big part of The Sims 4. By entering specific things, you can change all manner of things in the game, from the world you’re playing in to the lives of the sims you’re controlling. Being able to edit a sim’s appearance at any time is fun. To do that quickly and easily, here’s everything you need to know about how to use the CAS Full Edit Cheat in Sims 4.

In case you’re not entirely sure what that means, CAS Full Edit allows you to freely edit a sim in the game. You’ll be able to change things like their physical features, which is not something you’d usually be able to do in the middle of a game. It’s usually reserved for when you first create a sim.

How to Use CAS Full Edit Cheat in Sims 4

The first thing you need to do, which you need to do when activating all cheats in the game, is type in “testingcheats on”, without the quotation marks, into the cheat dialogue box. You can bring this up by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, Command + Shift + C on Mac, or by pressing all four triggers at the same time on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

This will bring up a pale green text box in the top left corner of the screen.

For the CAS Full Edit Cheat, you need to type in “cas.fulleditmode”, again without the quotation marks.

Then, to edit a sim, you need to hold shift and click on the character. Then, an Edit in CAS option will pop up and you just need to select that and change whatever you want.
