Forza Horizon 4: Can You Sell Cars? What You Need to Know

1 year 9 months ago

Wondering whether you can sell cars in Forza Horizon 4? Here’s what you need to know.

Can You Sell Cars in Forza Horizon 4?

Forza Horizon 4 showers you with credits (CR) and a showcase full of new cars that you can use your credits to buy some with. You will get some free cars along the way, but you’re going to get tired of those. Most people are going to eventually save up a little cash and go out and buy their own cars. Luckily, you can also sell cars in Forza Horizon 4, and here’s how to do it.

How to Sell Cars via the Auction House in Forza Horizon 4

To sell cars in Forza Horizon 4, you’ll need to use the Auction House. Open up the main menu, and then tab your way over to the Cars section by pressing RB. From there, assuming you have progressed far enough into the game (it won’t take that long) you can ‘Go to Festival.’ Do that as that’s where you’ll find the option to sell cars.

Next, on the top bar, you’ll see the Auction House option. Again, tab on over there. From there, you can see all the options you have to sell and bid on cars.

To sell cars, you can go to Start Auction on the bottom right of this menu.

There, you can select the car you want to sell, pick your starting price, and a buyout price if someone is impatient and just wants to beat everyone to the punch. You can also choose how long you want the auction to last.

Searching for Meaning in Nier Automata and Beautiful World, Where Are You

1 year 9 months ago

This piece contains spoilers for Nier Automata and Beautiful World, Where Are You.

How do we find meaning in the modern world? It’s probably a question that every conscious generation has grappled with going as far back as, well, who knows? But it seems like a more pertinent, gripping question now than it ever has been. Maybe that’s just my human brain and its inability to think broadly, but there’s something about the digital era we’re living in that makes this central question feel more depressing than I imagine it would if I were a farmer in 1800s Cyprus, frolicking in the sun and bathing on the shores.

“I looked at the internet for too long today and started feeling depressed.”

Silt review: there are plenty of fish in the sea but they're all trying to kill you

1 year 9 months ago

Has anyone coined the term Limbolike yet? 2D side-scrolling platformers that are a bit Tim Burton-y, and possibly in monochrome. Y'know the ones? Silt is a Limbolike, only it's Limbo under the sea. Other free-wheeling associations I have made include Minute Of Islands and, most weirdly, Gormenghast. But having mentioned the later, and because people who like Gormenghast really bloody like Gormenghast (a reasonable position), and respond to its evocation like Chekhov's dogs let loose at the eleventh annual Ringing World National Youth Championship competition, I'm now going to have to temper expectations back down.

Part of the fun in The Sims 4 on PC is creating a family and watching them grow. Sure, watching a child grow up can be fun but changing diapers and dealing with their nonsense might get aggravating. Dislyte Review – Drop the Wallet

1 year 9 months ago

Dislyte on iOS

It takes a lot –and I mean a lot— for me to get properly invested in a mobile game. I may be a complete degenerate when it comes to gacha games and any sort of RNG-based pulling system, but it’s rare for me to get to a point where I’d even start to consider dropping money on a game.

The gacha games that tend to pull me in are usually already associated with an established IP, like War of the Visions with Final Fantasy, or NieR Reincarnation with, well, NieR. There are exceptions, like Genshin Impact and the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail, but those games are pretty major exceptions as they’re the outliers that are very obviously head and shoulders above the rest of the competition. So when Dislyte came along, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I’d finally found an original IP gacha game that I could really invest my time into.

First impressions matter the most with mobile games, especially when they’re free-to-play. If something doesn’t grab you within the first 15 minutes, just uninstall the game and move on to the next one. Dislyte understands this at a very fundamental level, which is why the first thing you’ll notice about this game is its distinct comic book-like art style and flashy animations.

The Forest: All Cheats & Console Commands

1 year 9 months ago

The Forest is absolutely packed to the brim with cheat codes and console commands that can mess with practically everything in the game’s code. You can activate anything from a god mode to an iron man-type mode that deletes your save data when you die.

The Forest Cheats List for PC & PS4

There are some codes that you can use in The Forest that will require the game to be put into developer mode before they can work. This is the case for most of the codes. However, there are some that can be used without the game being in developer mode. For these codes, simply type the code at the game’s title screen:

  • Ironforest: Buildings are indestructible.
  • Meatmode: Disables all cheats.
  • Rawmeatmode: Permanent death. Your save file will be erased upon dying.
  • Regrowmode: 10% of fallen trees will regrow while you sleep (as long as the stump is still there).
  • Veganmode: Enemies will only appear in caves.
  • Vegetarianmode: Enemies will only appear at nighttime.
  • Woodpaste: Resets holes created by hole cutter and crane.

These cheats can also be used on PS4 if you plug in a USB keyboard into your console and enter them at the main menu.

How to Enable Developer Mode to Enter Console Commands on PC

The majority of the codes in The Forest will require the game to be put into developer mode. In order to do this, simply type developermodeon at the title screen, and then press F1. You should see a small text box in the top-left corner.  You can then start the game. The following commands can be entered by pressing F1, typing the code into the text box, and then pressing enter.

How to Get Fading Twilight in Genshin Impact (& Is It Worth It)

1 year 9 months ago

With the release of update 2.7 in Genshin Impact, there are tons of new events and new banner characters to pull for, including Yelan. If you’re not interested in Yelan, however, there’s still plenty of content to check out, as well as new weapons to acquire that can be very helpful for newcomers or F2P players. Here’s how to get the Fading Twilight bow in Genshin Impact, and our take on whether it’s even worth getting or not.

Getting Fading Twilight in Genshin Impact

The Fading Twilight bow is a reward that you can get from the new Perilous Trail event. However, in order to gain access to the event, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Hit Adventure Rank 28
  • Complete the main quest titled “A New Star Approaches”

This means that you need to have completed most of the story quests in Genshin Impact, at least up until the point where you’ve reached Liyue and met Zhongli. The story’s developed quite a bit since then, but it still does take some time to reach Liyue if you’re starting from scratch.

After you’ve completed the quest, Paimon will inform you of a new quest that you can pursue, titled “An Unexpected Guest.” Simply follow the objective markers to the Chasm Underground to meet Yanfei to unlock the Perilous Trail event.

How to Get Game Volume Through Your Xbox One Headset

1 year 9 months ago

So you want to run your game audio through your Xbox One headset, easy right? Well, not exactly. The first issue you might face is that there are actually two different versions of the Xbox One controller. The first and older version has a proprietary port which requires a separate stereo adaptor in order to allow for a headset to be plugged in. The second and current version actually has a 3.5mm jack which you can plug a headset into.

How to Get Game Volume Through Your Xbox One Headset

Doing either will allow you to channel the game’s volume through to your headset. By default, the audio should automatically switch to your headset when you plug it in, if not, there are some things you must do first.

Change the ‘Volume’ Option in the Xbox One Settings

Open up your Xbox Dashboard and go into the ‘Settings’ menu. From here, you’re going to want to select ‘Display and Sound’ and then find the ‘Volume’ option. This will open up several settings which allow you to channel game audio through your headset, speakers or both. It’s worth noting that you can also choose where your chat audio comes through as well, under the same menus. This should allow you to adjust the game volume through your Xbox One headset.

Update Your Xbox One Controller

If you’re having issues with the audio not coming through, you may have to go and update your controller. To do so, ensure you are connected to Xbox Live and head to the ‘Settings’ menu on the Dashboard. Select ‘Devices and Accessories’ then ‘Update ‘ on the selected controller. Wait for the update to install and then go through the same steps as above.

Silt Review - Glittering Through Muck

1 year 9 months ago

Silt Indie Puzzle Art Adventure Inside Limbo

Reviewed on: PC
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Publisher: Fireshine Games
Developer: Spiral Circus Games
Release:
Rating: Teen

The impeccable graphics and thought-provoking narrative shine so brightly in this puzzle/adventure title that the game’s defects, like the frustrating lack of direction, stand out in grimy, stark contrast. The moment I began playing, I was under the aquatic world’s monochromatic and disquieting spell. However, the magic was continuously dispelled as I increasingly encountered imbalanced challenges and tedious objectives.

Silt is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful games I’ve played this year. Its underwater world is brought to life in shades of black, grey, and white. But though the color palette is limited, it is applied masterfully. Inky darkness gives way to foggy gloom, which is pierced by brilliant illumination. The artistic visuals are meticulously detailed. Every feature and figure is shaded and ornamented in ways that make me stop and admire the screen instead of moving to my next objective. One moment, I swim along an ocean floor choked with reeds; in the next, I emerge from the gaping mouth of an inert, needle-fanged monstrosity, and both scenes equally demand my attention. The graphics’ dark and light motifs also spill over wonderfully into the game’s exploration of those themes.

However, this is not all. Along with the promise of hidden riches, something else strange is going on, as "an alarming number of froglets are disappearing around the world". You can check out the new trailer for Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins below.

V Rising is delicious but best consumed with friends

1 year 9 months ago

V Rising is all the rage right now and if you spend half an hour with it, it's not hard to see why. It's such an appealing idea it hits like Dungeon Keeper did all those years ago. Be the baddie! Okay yes please! Or in this case, specifically: be a vampire reawakened after many years to find the land they once dominated taken from them by snivelling humans, and now you're going to take it back.

You go about this gradually because you're no Dracula yet, and doing so involves two interlinked systems: combat and building a bigger base. And that base, yes, is a gothic vampire castle pieced together bit by bit, one wall at a time.

In essence, then, it's a base-building and crafting game, and when you mix in multiplayer, which is a huge draw here, it begins to feel a lot like games you've played before: Valheim, Grounded, Conan Exiles - there are lots of them. Except here, there's less of an emphasis on survival and more on combat. The experience of playing V Rising is much more like playing an action role-playing game like Diablo, with a huge base-building and crafting element added to it.

In short, FSR 2.0 is a suite of image upscaling technologies which let your PC run the game at a lower internal resolution, which is then reconstructed to be close to indistinguishable from its native resolution.

Overcooked 2: How to Play Splitscreen Co-Op Multiplayer

1 year 9 months ago

Overcooked 2 has finally released and, as was the case with the first game, it is at its best when you’re playing with some friends. If you want to jump in to see how you fair with a partner, here’s everything you need to know about how to play splitscreen co-op multiplayer in Overcooked 2.

Technically, multiplayer makes the game easier because it allows you to share out the tasks and be more methodical with how you get all the dishes out to the paying customers. However, that’s all down to how well you work as a team. You may be seamless, but you’re more likely to be screaming at each other and inadvertently re-creating some angry Gordon Ramsey memes.

How to Play Splitscreen Multiplayer in Overcooked 2

First of all, to play splitscreen co-op in Overcooked 2, you need to make sure that each player is active, which you can see by them being in the food truck at the main menu.

Simply turn the controller on and press the left and right shoulder button if you’re on Switch (L/R), or A/X for Xbox One and PS4 and the second player will join. You’ll need to do this for each player you want to add, up to four players.

Once everyone is in the food truck and ready to go, player one can then choose which mode to jump into: The Story, Arcade, or Versus.

After a brief loading screen, you’ll be able to choose which level you want to play on before you’re shown the star requirements and thrust into the splitscreen co-op multiplayer action.

You’re all on one screen in Overcooked 2, so it’s not splitscreen exactly, but it’s still local co-op multiplayer.

Pokemon Isle of Armor: Which Kubfu Evolution Is Better (Water or Dark)

1 year 9 months ago

Kubfu, the featured Pokemon of Isle of Armor, has a unique evolutionary path. In order for Kubfu to evolve, it must complete one of two possible trials on the Isle of Armor. The path you choose will evolve it into Urshifu, and give it a permanent secondary type change. In this guide, we go over which Kubfu evolution is better in Pokemon Sword and Shield: Isle of Armor, the Water or Dark path, and explain both in a bit of detail.

Rapid Strike Urshifu vs. Single Strike Urshifu – Which Is Better?

Let’s first break down the difference between the two Urshifu forms: Rapid Strike and Single Strike.

Rapid Strike Urshifu evolves from a Kubfu that completes the Tower of Water trial. Kubfu will evolve into Urshifu and will become a Fighting/Water-type that has the exclusive move Surging Strikes. This is a 25 BP attack that will hit three times and will critical hit each time.

This is an extremely powerful move as not only will it hit very hard, it will also bust through mechanics such as Mimikyu’s Disguise ability.

Fighting/Water is also a powerful and rare type of combination. It has no 4x weaknesses and its 2x weaknesses: Flying, Grass, Electric, Psychic and Fairy are manageable. It has more resistances including: Rock, Bug, Steel, Water, Fire, Ice, and Dark.

After her planet is attacked by mysterious alien invaders, Arch takes up her crossbow to fight off the bizarre foes astride her giant swan. The shots of Air Twister gameplay shown are strongly reminiscent of Space Harrier. Players control Princess Arch, shifting her around the screen as enemies cross over their path. She fires pink homing missiles at enemies, which can be locked on to. The game will have over twenty different enemies, ten massive bosses, and twelves stages. Further game modes can be unlocked by collecting Stars from the stages. The game uses touch controls but is gamepad-compatible. Online score-ranking is also supported. The trailer is set to the song "Aglaea" by the artist Valensia.

Air Twister will release on Apple Arcade for iOS devices on June 24, 2022. Hironobu Sakaguchi, another prominent Japanese game developer, also released Fantasian for Apple Arcade in 2021.

June Xbox Update Finally Lets You View Secret Achievements

Xbox Series X/S Secret Achievements Update

You just heard the collective sigh of relief from achievement hunters all over the world because their hobby just got a lot more convenient.

That’s because after a new Xbox update, you'll be able to view secret achievements from wherever you’re playing an Xbox game. Before this update, you simply could not – the console would let you know an achievement was secret, but you’d have to search online elsewhere to determine its objective. Starting this month, you can choose to reveal secret achievements, according to a new Xbox Wire blog post, as reported by IGN

“If you don’t mind spoilers or want a hint on any of the achievements in the games you’re playing, it’s easy to find the secret achievement details on your Xbox,” the blog post reads. “From within a game, open the guide and go to Game Activity > Achievements. When you see a secret achievement, you can now reveal details like the title, achievement description, and Gamerscore. And after you peek, you can go back and hide it or continue to display the details.

“You can reveal secret achievements anywhere you like to play and track your achievements from Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, the Xbox app for Android and iOS, the Xbox app for Windows PC, and Game Bar on your PC.”

Here’s a look at how it works

Review In Progress – Diablo Immortal

1 year 9 months ago

Blizzard is launching its first big Diablo mobile game this week, and I've had it on my phone for the last handful of days, putting it through hell for review. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see everything that Diablo Immortal has to offer after spending over 15 hours with the free-to-play handheld action RPG, but in lieu of a full review, I'd like to share some thoughts on my time with Immortal as the game is soon to be available for everyone to play on mobile devices and PC.

Diablo Immortal Review in Progress

1 year 9 months ago

Killing monsters just never gets old in the Diablo games. The feel-it-in-your-bones punch and kinetic energy of combat has always been one of the series’ strongest attributes, and Diablo Immortal proudly continues that tradition on iOS and Android devices (and PC, though that version isn’t available at the time of this writing). It also looks set to continue the tradition of near-neverending gameplay, in which the meaty campaign is just a starting point, giving way to dungeons to run, higher-difficulty levels to ascend, and endgame systems in which to take part.

My verdict on whether it succeeds on all those fronts will be some time coming, however, as the early access review version I’ve spent the last week playing was really only a taster. After all, it’s hard to judge a game with MMO aspirations amongst an extremely limited pool of players and an impending progression wipe ahead of launch. Even so, after playing a Demon Hunter (one of six classes at launch) up to level 50, Diablo Immortal has done a great job of scratching my demon-slaying itch. So stay a while and listen to my thoughts so far.

Xbox Update Finally Lets You Reveal Hidden Achievements

1 year 9 months ago

Microsoft's latest Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One update finally lets users reveal hidden achievements on the console and official app.

These secret achievements, which are usually veiled by developers to prevent spoilers, would previously tell users "the more you play, the more likely you are to unlock it". For achievement hunters though, this usually meant just looking it up on another device.

As announced on Xbox Wire, the June update smooths out this issue, as users can now choose to reveal the hidden achievement, unveiling details including its title, description, and how much Gamerscore will be awarded.

The achievement can be hidden again or kept open, and this feature will be simultaneously added to all Xbox consoles and apps on PC, mobile, and so on.

Xbox was lagging behind a little with this feature as PlayStation received the option to reveal hidden trophies a few years into the PS4's lifecycle, in 2016. Microsoft first added Achievements to its games in 2005 when it released the Xbox 360, and the designer behind the system (alongside Game Pass and other features) departed the company in April.

The June update also makes downloading updates more efficient on Xbox, as game patches will apparently now be detected more reliably and downloaded more quickly than before.

One of the Pokémon Series' Most Important Developers Is Moving Away from the Games

1 year 9 months ago

A co-founder of Pokémon developer Game Freak is leaving the studio to join The Pokémon Company – moving away from developing the games and looking at the franchise more widely.

Junichi Masuda will begin his new role as chief creative fellow and use his "deep understanding of the Pokémon brand to develop new services and products".

Masuda co-founded Game Freak and programmed and composed music for the original Pokémon Red and Green (and later Blue) games before directing later entries, starting with 2002's Ruby and Sapphire. He has since directed, produced, or had significant influence over practically every subsequent entry, making him one of the most important members of the Pokémon games franchise.
