Capcom is collaborating with the Japanese City of Sakai, in Osaka Prefecture for a Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak exhibition.

The event is being held until September 4, 2022, as part of the larger Sakai’s Ancient Techniques exhibition. The city has been known for its metalworking and the production of swords, guns, and weaponry in ancient times, with the tradition now translated into the production of cutlery.

The centerpiece of the exhibition will be a real-world reproduction of the Kakaru Kumo Naki long sword in full size (the blade is about 2.2 meters or 7.2 feet long), but there will also be plenty of artwork from Subreak available to enjoy.

The admission fee for the whole exhibition (including Monster Hunter) will be 800 yen for adults, 600 for high school students, and 300 for junior high school students or younger.

The first 10,000 visitors will also get a special Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sticker as a bonus.

Speaking of stickers, the local Hankai Tramway will have a special tram with a Monster Hunter livery, as you can see in the gallery below.

DAMTOYS is releasing a new version of its Resident Evil 2 Remake Leon and Claire action figures, this time featuring both characters in their original costumes. In addition to removable clothing, the 1/6 scale action figures will also include guns and iconic items from the game. Pre-orders are currently open, with each figure costing ¥32,000 (about $233). Both figures will ship sometime in Late 2022. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Leon figure is based on a previously released action figure that Nauts and DAMTOYS released back in 2020. The previous version of the figure featured the character in his default outfit from Remake. Similarly, Claire is also getting a default figure in the near future. Much like the latest release, those figures have over 30 points of movement and posability, as well as a variety of weapons and items to hold.

Each figure will come with a different set of weapons. Leon, for example, will come with Matilda and the M19 handgun with removable stock, magazine, and muzzle brake, as well as the W870 shotgun, LE5 machine gun, grenades, and combat knives. Unlike the standard figure, however, Leon's classic version will come with the ATM-4 rocket launcher rather than the standard Anti-tank Rocket.

But before we go into the details, a warning: if you've got an older HDMI 2.0 display which does have 120Hz support, I'd recommend disabling the PS5's 120Hz output, as you'll likely be downscaling to 1080p to access the new features.

In a bizarre turn of events, development studio Kojima Productions has threatened to sue people making suggestions online that their founder Hideo Kojima was involved in the assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe. That’s right, the alpha play test for Hyenas has been announced, and you’ll be able to get your hands on the game quite soon. The Hyenas alpha will be starting this Thursday, July 14. PC players in the UK, Europe, and North America will be able to take part. If you want a place in the Hyenas alpha, we have guide to help get you signed up.

Hyenas was unveiled only a few weeks ago, so the alpha coming out this soon means the game is progressing smoothly for its 2023 release date.

For those who maybe didn’t catch the announcement news, Hyenas is developed by Creative Assembly and a press release describes the game as:

HYENAS is a PvEvP shooter developed by the team behind Alien: Isolation and Halo Wars 2. It pits five teams of three players against each other as they fight over Merch; pop culture loot protected by security systems and hired goons on giant spaceship shopping malls called Plunderships. To the rich pricks looting the remains of Earth it’s piracy, to the Hyenas it’s payback.

Hyenas Release Date

At the moment, Hyenas doesn’t have an official release date or window. We just learned about the game via an announcement trailer at the Summer of Gaming 2022 event, which showed off combat that pits five teams of three players against each other and the environment to engage, evade, exploit, and steal their way to victory.

When we do have an official release date or window for the full game of Hyenas, we will be sure to upgrade this article accordingly.

When Does Hyenas Playable Alpha Come Out?

Hyenas will be available in alpha beginning July 14, 2022, and will be open for PC players in the UK, Europe, and North America, with more regions and platforms in future phases. In this test, you’ll have the opportunity to play as Doctor Hotfix, The Pro, Commander Wright, and others to be announced.

Creative Assembly (Total War, Alien: Isolation) has announced a new multiplayer FPS called Hyenas, and it seems exactly like something that fans of the genre would love to try out. As luck would have it, there is currently a way to get to play HYENAS before the eventual release date. Here’s how to sign up for the HYENAS alpha playtest.

Signing Up for the HYENAS Alpha Test

The first thing you will want to do is navigate over to the official Hyenas website. From here, scroll down to “Sign Up” section. When you click the “SIGN UP NOW” button, a small window will pop up.

If you have an account with Creative Assembly, you’re all set. If you don’t have an account you can either sign up for that, or log in with your Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, or Xbox account credentials.

Here’s a list of the information you’ll need to complete your submission for the HYENAS Alpha Test:

While Genshin Impact is still a whole Version away from Sumeru, HoYoVerse has teased three characters from the region: Dori, Collei, and Tighnari. Collei will be a Dendro Archer, while Tighnari will be a Dendro Catalyst user. Dori will be an Electro character. They will likely debut in Version 3.0.

For those who read the Genshin Impact prequel webtoon, Collei should be a familiar figure. She is the main character of the story, and her mission to take revenge on the Fatui drives the plot. As the webtoon takes place a few years before the start of the game, Collei is younger and has a different appearance in that media.

As for Tighnari, he is a completely new character in Genshin Impact. He will follow Heizou as the second officially confirmed male Catalyst user. The name of his constellation, Vulpes Zerda, is the scientific name for the fennec fox.

Finally, unlike Tighnari and Collei, Dori will be of the Electro element. It is unclear from the Genshin Impact splash art what weapon Dori will use. We do know from Tighnari's quote that she will be a merchant, which may mean that her passive Talent has something to do with Mora.

The 2022 Comic-Con International (a.k.a. the San Diego Comic Con) is coming. And with it, is a wave of exclusive merchandise for attendees. Bandai Namco Collectibles is bringing four Dragon Ball Z SDCC exclusive S.H. Figuarts figures to the event. SDCC exclusive items are usually sold only to Comic-Con attendees at the various exhibitor booths on the show floor. In some cases just the chance to purchase these items is subject to lottery-style distribution among certain groups of attendees. For its part, Bandai's exclusives - including the Dragon Ball Z SDCC figures - will be available at its booth.

The Majin Buu S.H. Figuarts figure is based on Majin Buu's Good form. In good form, the fearsome fighter is a portly paragon. He comes with two pairs of hands, three faces, an Angel Halo, and a handy chocolate bar.

The ongoing effects of Russia's invasion of Ukraine have left the project's announcement in "limbo", Venturebeat's Jeff Grubb has said, writing on Twitter that "GoldenEye is still in limbo because of the war".

The crossover event between gacha strategy RPG Alchemy Stars and Persona 5 Royal opens soon. Level Infinite shared more details ahead of its July 14th opening date to detail the Alchemy Stars x P5R event's structure and preview its crossover characters.

The Alchemy Stars x P5R event "Heist Under a Moonlit Night" will add Phantom Thieves members Joker, Queen, Violet, Fox, and Mona to the game's playable roster. Joker and Queen appear as 6-Star Aurorians with the Fire and Thunder attributes, respectively. Fox, Violet, and Mona are 5-Star units with the Water, Fire, and Forest attributes.
