Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered Announced for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, & Android

1 year 11 months ago

Today Square Enix announced that it will release Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered.

The game is a remaster of the 2005 PS2 remake (which was titled Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song) of the original Romancing SaGa game for Super Famicom launched in 1992.

You may not be familiar with the title, as its localization for North America was simply titled Romancing SaGa, but the remaster appears to be bringing back the full title for the west as well.

The announcement was accompanied by a trailer showing the visuals that you can expect from the remaster that will release in Winter 2022 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC via Stream, and even mobile on both iOS and Android.

You can check it out below and see the fresh coat of paint with your own eyes.

Incidentally, if you’re interested in the Romancing SaGa series, Square Enix has released a Romancing SaGa 3 remaster in 2019.

Incidentally, this remaster certainly comes at the right time as Square Enix is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the debut of the series on January 28, 1992.

Perhaps the game is a bit late for the anniversary since it’ll come almost a year afterward, but in this case, this is certainly better late than never.

Best Yelan Build In Genshin Impact – Weapons and Artifacts

1 year 11 months ago

Yelan was introduced to Genshin Impact in the 2.7 update, bringing even more variety to the potential parties that players can run in the game. A 5-Star Hydro character, Yelan uses a bow and is a fantastic option for a sub DPS for any party that needs it.

Her Elemental Skill, Lingering Lifeline, allows her to move quickly, marking her enemies with the Lifeline. When she stops, the Lifeline will explode, dealing Hyrdo damage to any marked target. Depth-Clarion Dice, her element burst, creates Wondrous Dice that will assist the active character and do area of effect damage. Yelan can cast Depth-Clarion Dice, then switch with another character for great sub DPS synergy. In this article, we will run through some of the best Yelan build in Genshin Impact to take advantage of the character.

The Best Yelan Build In Genshin Impact

Best Weapons for Yelan

Hands down, the best weapon for Yelan is the Aqua Simulacra, but that will require a lot of luck as it is a 5-Star bow that you can only get from a Banner. It will increase Yelan’s health by sixteen percent and increase damage by twenty percent when enemies are close. It will also boost critical damage.

For a sub-DPS build, Favonius Longbow is a great option for those who are unwilling to invest in getting the Aqua Simulacra. This 4-Star bow can be obtained from Banners, so check the active weapon Banner in-game to see if it is included. Critical hits with this bow will have a chance to generate energy. Failing that, Elegy of the End is a solid option as it will give increased Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery.

For free-to-play folks out there, the Recurve Bow is well worth exploring. The massive boost to her health the bow provides will be hugely beneficial.

Fallout 4: How to Get a Jetpack & Fly

1 year 11 months ago

Patrolling the wasteland in Fallout 4 in a set of power armor is one of the most badass feelings you can experience in the wasteland. However, with the addition of a jetpack, the power armor will become the definitive cool way to travel the wasteland.

While the jetpack is certainly a novel way to spruce up your power armor, it does come with a rather hefty cost to your fusion core’s power level.

With a couple blasts around you will soon find yourself out of juice and in need of another core in order to continue your majestic leaps around the wasteland.

How Do You Get a Jetpack in Fallout 4?

If you have an abundance of fusion cores, or just want to feel like Iron Man in Fallout 4 with no care for the expense, here are the two ways you can equip your power armor with this contraption.

Craft the Jetpack Power Armor Mod

The first way is through simply crafting and modifying your power armor and selecting the jetpack option. This requires you to visit a Power Armor Station, one of which can be found at the Red Rocket Truck Stop close to Vault 111. They can also be found in Sanctuary Hills, Spectacle Island, Home Plate, Jamaica Plain and at the Cambridge Police Station, to name a few.

You can only craft a Jetpack for the following Power Armor types, each of which requires a different amount of materials to craft. We’ve listed the required materials next to each power armor below:

Turns Out Stranger Things’ Chrissy Is a Valorant Streamer When She Isn’t Cheerleading

1 year 11 months ago

The launch of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 4 is all the rage at the moment, hailed with critical acclaim as one of the most exciting and spooky seasons so far. Without delving into spoilers, actor Grave Van Dien role as Chrissy Cunningham puts her front and center during some of its most terrifying moments. But if you’ve been haunted by the scenes and need to be reminded that it’s all just a TV show, you can always tune into Van Dien’s Twitch stream tonight at 6PM EST, when she’ll be playing Valorant and chatting with fans!

That’s right, it turns out Van Dien, aka BlueFille, is an avid video game player who enjoys streaming Valorant, Fortnite, and Overwatch amongst many other popular games. It’s something she appears to have been doing for some time, but the buzz around Stranger Things Season 4 has obviously brought a whole new level of attention to her channel.

A fellow content creator, soph, noted her discovery on Twitter earlier today:

At the time of writing, BlueFille has just over 15k followers on Twitch, but I’m sure that number is destined to going flying upward by the end of the week!

Both of these illusion-based geometric puzzle games were released on iOS and Android devices in 2014 and 2017 respectively, and now, for the first time ever, they’ll be playable on non-mobile devices. As the name implies, the view of the game, which is longer than it is horizontal as a result of being mobile games, will be shifted to account for PC monitors. Instead, both Monument Valley games will be presented in a wide view and you can see what that looks like below thanks to the series’ art director:

We're making Monument Valley WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE

🥳🥳🥳

Working on this has been a really nostalgic experience, I hope you all like it.

Please wishlist 💖 pic.twitter.com/f3CoRdCuJH
— David Fernández Huerta (@DavidFHuerta) May 31, 2022

Both games can be added to Steam wishlists right now and unsurprisingly, in order to run these games on your PC, you’re not going to need much horsepower at all.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered Releasing This Winter

1 year 11 months ago

Romancing Saga Remaster

Square Enix is synonymous with widely known JRPG franchises like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, and Nier. However, a lesser-known series that's produced some under-the-radar experiences is returning. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered is launching on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, and iOS and Android devices this winter.

Minstrel Song dropped exclusively on PlayStation 2 in 2005. The updated visuals (changed from bit art to 3D) don't do much to improve the very bizarre character designs, but fans of the series that never got to play it more than a decade ago will finally get to test their skills with the game's combat and class systems.

Minstrel Song itself is a remake of the original Romancing SaGa game released on the Super Famicom in 1992. The narrative follows eight adventurers as they try to stop the resurgence of an ancient deity of darkness.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet New Trailer When

Nintendo has announced that a brand new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet is dropping tomorrow.

The trailer will go live at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET tomorrow, June 1, on the official Pokémon YouTube trailer. As for what to expect, that remains unknown as the tweet announcing this news says to tune in to the channel "for the latest on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet." If it's like trailers in years past, we'll likely learn more about the world of Gen 9, including some new looks at Pokémon, locales we'll be visiting, and, if we're lucky, a look at the two main legendaries that will appear on the boxes of these two Switch games.

Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed Preview: Lowbrow, Old-School Fun

1 year 11 months ago

In an age where games are increasingly serious in tone, it’s quite a breath of fresh air to play a foul-mouthed alien who can throw people a mile in the air and probe enemies to death. Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed is a remake of a PS2-era classic that reminded me that not everything needs to be high art – sometimes running around just zapping hippies with a laser blaster in a sardonic 1960’s San Francisco hits just the right spot. The cheesy, lowbrow dialogue, over-the-top voice acting, and wanton destruction are all extremely faithful to the original, and all of that has a very strong junk food charm that’s novel in this day and age.

There’s a simple purity in this absurd and irreverent open-world adventure that had me destroying Alcatraz island using a lethal flying saucer or tracking down the villainous hippie known only as Coyote Bongwater. And while Reprobed’s story was mostly used as a vehicle for crass jokes and setting up ludicrous scenarios for me to run rampant and yank human brains right out of earthling heads for the heck of it, I have to respect how much silliness and entertaining shenanigans is prioritized above all else. That has a unique, shameless allure that jives amazingly well with the derisive tone of this chaotic spoof.

Destroy All Humans 2 Remaster Gets an August Release Date - and a Standalone Spin-Off Is Out Now

1 year 11 months ago

Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on August 30, and players who preorder can play a spin-off today.

The spin-off, called Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage, is a standalone multiplayer game that lets two players team up in couch co-op, or four players when online.

Clone Carnage comes with four modes - Rampage, Armageddon, Race, and Abduction - across six maps and can be downloaded immediately if players digitally preorder Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. Alternatively, you can buy it separately for $12.99

The remaster, on the other hand, is the more traditional Destroy All Humans open world, adventure game experience set in the swinging '60s. Players can explore Bay City, Albion, Takoshima, Tunguska, and the Moon either solo or in split screen co-op.

While the original Destroy All Humans 2 was first released in 2006, a remaster of the first game was released in 2020 which led many to speculate if the sequel would receive the same treatment.

Somewhat oddly, PlayStation accidentally leaked the existence of the new remaster in September last year when it tweeted the announcement ahead of THQ Nordic's official reveal during its 10th anniversary stream.

V Rising Passes 1.5 Million Sales, Developer Talks About Next Steps

1 year 11 months ago

Developer Stunlock Studios has revealed that V Rising has sold over 1.5 million copies and has reached a milestone of 150K concurrent players within the first two weeks since its release.

With millions of players now invested, the development team has said it will now look at the feedback provided during the game's ongoing early access period in order to move forward with the full release.

“Our mission will be to find out what is most important to our players and how to take V Rising to the next level. We currently plan to work on more extensive updates rather than run for frequent smaller patches and minor changes," said marketing director Johan Ilves in a blog post. "It’s too early to tell when the first bigger V Rising content patch will arrive, as we will give it the time to make sure it brings something new to the experience. This will require more patience from you as a fan!"

He continues, "Meanwhile, we will do our best to make sure the first content update will be worth waiting for."

Elden Ring Tamashii Nations Figuarts Mini Figures Now Available in the IGN Store

1 year 11 months ago

If you missed out on preordering one of the Elden Ring Figuarts Minis from Tamashii Nations when we first announced them, you're in luck. There's still plenty of time left to secure your Raging Wolf or Melina Elden Ring figures. Preorders close June 22, but if we run out before then we'll have to close the preorder window. And no one wants that.

Elden Ring Figuarts Minis

These Figuarts Minis are the first official Elden Ring collectibles, period. Given the enormous impact of Elden Ring on the cultural shared consciousness, they're certainly not going to be the last. I appreciate them as an entry point, because they're much more affordable than some giant statue would be, and they're pretty damn cute, as well. Not to say I wouldn't want some massively detailed, multi-hundred dollar statue. I just think these are a great starting point.

The Raging Wolf is based on the armor set and one of the most iconic in a game filled with iconic gear. Melina is, of course, your guide in Elden Ring, and the first NPC you meet when you start up a new game.

Check out the gallery below to see some high-resolution images of the Elden Ring Figuarts Mini figures now available in the IGN Store:

Both figures are available right now for preorder.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed releases this August on PC, PlayStation, Xbox

1 year 11 months ago

Get ready earthlings, Crypto is back (no, not that planet burning kind). THQ Nordic has revealed that Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is heading our way on 30th August, with alien invader Crypto - or to be more precise, the next Crypto: Cryptosporidium 138 - leading the charge (ok, so maybe "that planet burning kind" is actually still accurate...).

THQ has promised this release will be a faithful remake of 2006's alien filled caper, complete with "five huge open-world areas". These areas are Bay City, Albion, Takoshima, Tunguska, and, what with this being a game with an out of this world entity roaming through its maps, the Moon.

But, who exactly will players come across within these vast maps? Well, as Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is set in the swinging '60s, you will have to deal with more than a small handful of hippies on your quest for glory. Oh, yes, and there is also the small matter of the KGB as well. You can check out the latest trailer for Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed below.

Xbox Game Pass Adds Assassin’s Creed, For Honor, and More in June

1 year 11 months ago

Microsoft announced the lineup of new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass catalog for PC, consoles, and cloud all scheduled for the first week of June.

The list kicks off with For Honor: Marching Fire Edition on June 1 for all three platforms. Ubisoft’s honorable brawler had been previously available on the service, but now contains the Marching Fire expansion at no additional cost. The expansion adds a new faction, arcade mode, and more.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will come to consoles and PC on June 2 followed by four games for June 7. The four games are Assassin’s Creed Origins, space-combat shooter Chorus, difficult puzzle game Disc Room, and “roguelike-like” co-op management game Spacelines from the Far Out. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to claim the Deluxe Pack for Assassin’s Creed Origins on the day it becomes available.

Microsoft also revealed a few games will be leaving the service on June 15 with Darkest Dungeon, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, Greedfall, Limbo, and Worms Rumble.

The list of new additions may seem a little small for the start of the month, but the company will be holding its Game Showcase event on June 12. Previous events have had surprise Xbox Game Pass title announcements, but we can expect other announcements considering it will contain both Xbox and Bethesda studios.

Honkai: Star Rail Is the Big Budget Turn-Based RPG That Gacha Fans Deserve (Closed Beta Impressions)

1 year 11 months ago

Honkai: Star Rail is a really exciting release for a few reasons. It’s the first major game release from miHoYo since the company enjoyed the massive success of 2020’s Genshin Impact. Secondly, it’s the latest installment in the studio’s Honkai series which, while pretty popular in the mobile gacha community, never quite achieved the same heights as Genshin Impact, which raised the bar for gacha games.

Going into the closed beta, I was definitely intrigued to see what kind of lessons miHoYo would pull from Genshin Impact, and the results are looking very promising so far.

One of the biggest changes here is the combat system itself. Instead of utilizing an action combat system from previous Honkai games, Star Rail opts for the more traditional turn-based formula. Now I have nothing against fast-paced action games, but thinking ahead, if I’m going to be playing Star Rail on my phone in short bursts when the final build releases, the slower, methodical nature of turn-based combat will undoubtedly feel a lot more comfortable.

miHoYo has openly stated that with this being their first foray into turn-based RPG gameplay, they still have plenty to learn and tweak. That said, what’s on display in this closed beta already looks pretty damn solid.

Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Edition Review – Great Companion for PMDG’s 737 in Microsoft Flight Simulator

1 year 11 months ago

With the much-awaited release of advanced airliners for Microsoft Flight Simulator, many are on the market for a good yoke controller to enhance their immersion, and one of the most relevant and recent options is the TCA Yoke Pack Boeing Edition for both PC and Xbox by Thrustmaster.

You can purchase the whole set including the Yoke and the Throttle Quadrant, the Yoke on its own, or the Throttle Quadrant on its own.

This makes the system rather modular as the Yoke on its own would be enough for your basic simulation needs, you can add the quadrant for better immersion and control, and you could even get a second quadrant to be able to individually set the thrust on four engines.

That being said, I definitely advise pairing the set with pedals to control your rudder, as that’s nearly indispensable for immersive simulation and precise control. In order to test this set, I paired it with my Thrustmaster’s own T-Flight rudder pedals, and they work great together.

Steelrising's robotic revolutionary Paris could be in line for the Soulslike throne

1 year 11 months ago

It's a bold play, releasing a Soulslike in the year of Elden Ring. Let me rephrase that, actually. It's a bold play releasing a Soulslike in any year, let alone the year of Elden Ring. You could snap open any twelve month span like a bulrush and watch many thousands of little Soulslikes disperse into the atmosphere, with only a select few really making an impact.

Steelrising is one of these Soulslike seeds hoping to sink into our screens, sprout, and take root not only in the innards of our Panasonics, but our minds too. From what I've seen, it stands a chance of survival in a saturated land.

The update will be available for those who play the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Origins’ successor, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, received the same current-gen FPS boost last August

V Rising Reaches 1.5 Million Copies Sold In Just Two Weeks

1 year 11 months ago

V Rising launched in Steam Early Access on May 17, and the vampire action survival game has quickly taken the world by storm. Developer Stunlock Studios revealed that the game has pushed past 1.5 million copies sold in only two weeks.

Stunlock doesn’t provide an exact sales number, but 1.5 million+ is a remarkable feat for a game technically in its infancy. V Rising has been popular on Twitch and has garnered strong reviews thus far. The game puts you in the undead boots of a newly awakened vampire who must build their empire. Similar to games like Valheim, players explore an open world in search of resources (either from nature itself or by pillaging villages) to construct a castle and become the second coming of Dracula. Combat pushes you to use your supernatural abilities to take down a host of otherworldly creatures, and you can tackle the game alongside friends in co-op. You can also attack other players’ castles in PvP.

As an Early Access title, V Rising will continue to receive updates and improvements over the next several months. The game’s Steam page states that Stunlock hopes to launch the game in 1.0 within the next 12 months, barring any changes.

Also available on June 1 but only until June 15 is Super Meat Boy, a chaotic platformer known best for its fast-paced and addictive gameplay loop. IGN said it was amazing in our review 9/10 review, as "Super Meat Boy is one of the best modern platformers around. It's infuriating, exasperating, and arduous, but it's also delightful, thrilling, and hilarious."

eFootball Will Not Get Master League Mode Until 2023, Will Be Paid DLC

1 year 11 months ago

Konami's eFootball won't be getting PES's beloved Master League mode until 2023, and fans will have to pay for it.

eFootball's official Twitter account revealed its plans for the game going forward, including a breakdown of what's free and what isn't, and detailing what's coming this summer, winter, and then next year.

The only content listed for 2023 so far is Master League - a mode that fans were already surprised to see missing from the game's official launch - but it's not the only content that will cost players money.

"The number of teams that can be used in leagues and club teams will be expanded and distributed as additional paid content by the end of 2022," the tweet said.

Also on the schedule is the Lobby Match mode, that lets players create rooms online and play matches with their Dream Teams, which is expected this summer as a free update.

Cross-platform support across consoles and PC will be available later in winter, as well as "some editing functions", though the tweet didn't explain what these would be.
