Little Big Adventure 1 & 2 get cloud saves, controller support, achievements and more in new update

1 year 10 months ago

Adeline Software's much-loved Little Big Adventure series can now be enjoyed with a welcome selection of modern day niceties - including cloud saves, controller support, and Steam achievements - thanks to a brand-new update on Steam.

The original Little Big Adventure - an evocative blend of platforming, puzzling, and exploration that followed young hero Twinsen as he attempted to escape evil dictator Dr. FunFrock - released back in 1994 and was followed by a sequel three years later. Needless to say, at now over a quarter of a century old, both were decidedly lacking in modern day polish.

Developer 2.21, which now owns the rights to the series (and counts Little Big Adventure co-creator Didier Chanfray as a founder), announced it would be upgrading Little Big Adventure 1 & 2 back in March, although there was no estimated time of arrival for its enhancements.

Steam Breakout V Rising Is A Stellar Survival RPG

1 year 10 months ago

I have complicated feelings about the modern vampire story. Violence is cheap. Tasty humans are plentiful. And skyscrapers provide ample shelter from the sun. Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki unveils Space-Harrier-like shooter Air Twister

1 year 10 months ago

Yu Suzuki - the legendary designer behind the likes of Sega classics Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, OutRun, and Space Harrier - has unveiled new 3D shooter Air Twister, which is making its way to Apple Arcade on 24th June.

Air Twister is a fantasy "swipe" shooter - developed by Shenmue 3 studio YS Net - that asks players, in the role of Princess Arch, to battle alien invaders and save their planet from destruction using their trusty homing arrows.

As the trailer reveals, there's a definite Space Harrier vibe to the whole thing - with a touch of Panzer Dragoon thrown in when our lead takes to the skies on the back of a giant swan - and, according to an interview attended by GameSpot, Air Twister is based on a fantasy shooting game Yu Suzuki envisaged in the 80s, before he adapted the idea into Space Harrier due to the technical limitations of the time.

What Is Spice in Star Wars?

1 year 10 months ago

Spice is a prominent item throughout the Star Wars franchise, but they aren’t the typical ingredient used in a kitchen. Instead, this additive is smuggled or sought after by criminals around the galaxy. So, what is spice in Star Wars? To answer this question, we’ll need to look at the history of this mysterious element.

What Spice Is in Star Wars

Spice in the Star Wars universe is an illicit substance, otherwise known as a drug. The original trilogy was the first to mention the ingredient when C-3PO worries about “being sent to the Spice Mines of Kessel.” It even makes its live-action debut in the recent episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, where the drug is referred to as a narcotic powder.

There are different versions of the ingredient, including a Sansanna spice that appears in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The first episode of Season five displays a group of pirates discovering a crate full of pure Sansanna spice. These criminals highly regard the drug and believe it will make them rich.

In the Star Wars novel Thrawn, Imperial Moff Ghadi uses Polstine spice to threaten Arihnda Pryce, as shown here:

Is the Demon Slayer Manga Finished?

1 year 10 months ago

Whether you are an anime watcher only or like to dabble in the source material, one question is rather common amongst fans who pick up and fall in love with Kimetsu no Yaiba, and that is: Is the Demon Slayer Manga finished? It’s a valid question, and one we’ve got the answer for right here.

Is the Demon Slayer Manga Finished?

The short and sweet answer is, yes, the Demon Slayer manga has officially finished. Despite only debuting back in 2016, the Weekly Shonen Jump manga finished with a total of 23 volumes in May 2020.

Considering its popularity, this is seen as a pretty short run. Comparatively, manga like Naruto lasted 15 years, starting in 1999 and ending in 2014. Many argue that, while it didn’t need to be that long, Demon Slayer could have gotten a few more years out of its run as well.

So, since the manga is done, where does the anime sit when it comes to what is left to adapt?

How Much Demon Slayer Is Left to Adapt?

According to the watch order, there are only three Arcs left to be adapted after the recent Entertainment Arc: Swordsmith Village, Hashira Training, and Final Battle. While the Swordsmith Village arc is next, there is no telling how exactly Ufotable will choose to go about adapting each arc.

It could be that they give it a movie like Mugen Train, or they might do seasons, or they might do a combination of both and add in some filler. Only time will tell.

There are also optional parts included that can serve as a recollection of Kirby’s games over the years, such as a bindle stick, a friend heart, a sweet potato, and of course a glittery star rod. Super Bomberman R Online Will Be Shut Down in December

Super Bomberman R Online, the battle royale entry in the series, will be shut down on December 1, 2022. Konami didn't offer exact details about why the free-to-play multiplayer game will be shuttered. It only noted the final day and stopped selling in-game items.

In game, people used to be able to purchase Bomber Coins and a $9.99 Premium Pack. The Premium Pack unlocked things like private matches, additional modes, and bonus Bombers inspired by games like Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and Silent Hill.

The last major updates for Super Bomberman R Online appeared as part of its third season. People could get Suikoden-themed items. Among them was the Suikoden 2 Hero Bomber. A Goemon Bomber joined in January 2022. However, on March 17, 2022 season 3 of the game ended without a fourth one being announced.

As for the future, Konami's brief announcement regarding Super Bomberman R Online being shut down noted this isn't the end for the series. The final statements said, "The "Bomberman" series is moving forward with new projects. We hope to be able to inform you of this project soon."
