The Rune Factory 5 digital pre-orders are open, and people who opt in get DLC. Xseed Games announced people who get it will also get The Holy Knight and the Bibliophile Swimsuit Set + New Ranger Care Package Item Pack. This includes cosmetic costumes for characters and jump start items. The pack will only be free for folks who order via the eShop. However, it will eventually be sold after launch.
Xseed went over the items in the pack. The two swimsuits are inspired by Rune Factory 4’s siblings Forte and Kiel. (The two were both love interests in the game.) The player characters can wear them. As for the New Ranger Care Package Item Pack, it gives you four items to help you get a head start. In each case, you get nine of them. There are nine healing potions, which can restore your health. The nine Cooking Breads can be eaten to learn recipes to make. You can grow the nine tomato seeds in the field to get the crops. And the nine orange juices can be used to recover or give as gifts.
Should someone want to grab it post-launch, it will appear on April 26, 2022. The pack will cost $1.99. The New Ranger Care Package Item Pack items can all be acquired via normal play in-game.

To answer this question, we're turning to the IGN community for help. Over the next month, we'll be hosting a continually updated bracket here on IGN, with fans able to vote on individual matchups. A plodding team of armored knights crashes into their enemies, scything them down with blows left and right. They're much more powerful than those they fight, but far fewer, and in the tactical combat of King Arthur: Knight's Tale you're the one in charge of making sure those knights triumph. I sat down with a preview of the second act of this story-driven strategy RPG, and I found myself intrigued by its mix of combat, knightly tales, and casual castle management.
I'll be straight with you here: this remix of Arthurian legend plays fast and loose with the myths, and I'm here for it. Arthurian legends are the comic book stories of the medieval period, all about larger-than-life heroes and wildly inconsistent in how they're depicted. What I mean is that I don't think you'll need to know jack about Arthur to enjoy this, but here's the details anyway: King Arthur: Knight's Tale is set in a grimdark Arthurian purgatory of sorts. Avalon, what should be a shining mystical paradise for knights, has gone really wrong and Arthur has gone not just normal evil, but super evil.
Oh, and you play the bad guy. You're Mordred, and you've killed Arthur at the same moment he's killed you. Now you're both in Avalon, but Arthur has gone all kinds of bad, so now you need to kill Arthur… again. To do so, you need to recruit his former knights, enemies, and allies to your side. Basically none of them like you or want to work with you, and depending on your actions some of them will happily abandon you for a return to Arthur's side. Complicating things are the Lady of the Lake, ancient gods, elves, and all manner of other supernatural stuff cribbed from Celtic, Irish, and Brythonic mythology both pre- and post-Christian.

13AM Games and WayForward are working on Dawn of the Monsters, a beat’em up involving kaiju characters beating up alien opponents. As people go through it, they’ll be able to fight alone or with a friend using Aegis Prime, Ganira, Megadon, and Tempest Galahad to fight back. WayForward offered Siliconera exclusive details about Tempest Galahad, a mecha designed to fight the invading aliens. She’s the one of the four suited to area of effect attacks that foes farther away from her.
Here’s WayForward’s official profile for Jamila Senai. Based on the background, it makes Tempest Galahad sound as though it takes inspiration from things like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Pacific Rim.

In classic Disco Elysium fashion, developers ZA/UM were a little vague regarding the actual new content that is to be added in the Jamais Vu Update, as they provided fans the following explanation – as well as an image depicting the new achievements – about it on their website.
Today the artificial intelligence-dedicated arm of Sony, Sony AI teased the reveal of its “gaming flagship,” and it’s likely about Gran Turismo 7.
The tease made on the company’s official Twitter account, mentions a collaboration with Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital, and with the seventh numbered chapter of the franchise coming soon, it’s likely safe to assume that it’ll be featured in the game.
The reveal will be on Wednesday, February 9.

The video includes the mention of “racing together” and shows some of the champions from the Gran Turismo Sport competitive scene.
While at the moment this is simply my speculation, the project might involve programming the AI drivers in GT7 to race following these champions’ style.
We’ll have to wait for the official announcement and see what it is.
Shinji Mikami is a horror legend in gaming, having directed the first Resident Evil, which spawned off an entire franchise with over a dozen entries in it today. He then left Capcom to create Tango Gameworks, now owned by Bethesda, which is where Mikami began his new horror series, The Evil Within. After a sequel, the team began work on GhostWire Tokyo, which is set to debut on PlayStation 5 and PC on March 25.
The Japanese edition of Fate/Grand Order is currently running its Valentine's Day event, but some treats are in store even for folks who don't play the game. A new promo campaign called FGO Chaldea Cooking launched, aiming to recreate FGO Valentine's Dat treats in real life [Thanks, Famitsu].

The new FGO Chaldea Cooking series is the result of a partnership between Aniplex and Cookpad, a recipe-sharing platform. Each day from February 7-11, 2022, a special site will be updated with a new Cookpad-produced recipe based on one of the Valentine's Day Craft Essences from the game.
In FGO parlance, a Craft Essence is a piece of equipment that can be assigned to one's Servants before battle. It will boost their stats or add various effects. Each event adds new Craft Essences, and the Valentine's Day-themed ones feature art and flavor text describing the special chocolate given and received by the characters.
The first recipe shared by FGO Chaldea Cooking is based on the Valentine's Day gift from fan-favorite Rider-class Servant Astolfo. Called Rabbit Cute Chocolate, the recipe produces a pair of chocolate cup treats in the shape of sweet bunnies. Check out the video for the recipe below.

Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance goes live tomorrow, Feb. 8, and Respawn has just released another trailer to show off a few of the notable cosmetics that’ll be coming in the Battle Pass. Legendary skins are coming for both Loba and Seer this time around alongside reactive skins for the Hemlok at the end of the Defiance Battle Pass.
The Standard Battle Pass will cost 950 Apex Coins, and the Premium Battle Pass can be purchased for 2,800 Apex Coins. The Premium pass will give you a 25 level boost and net you the Legendary Aces High Seer skin right away.
Along with the skins mentioned above, there will also be Epic ones for Ash Lifeline, and Crypto to collect. The pass will contain new emotes, sprays, banners, and more as well.

There’s only one day left for players to finish up the Season 11 pass, so time is running out for those who haven’t yet collected all of the available cosmetics.
One year after announcing a paid expansion for Factorio, the developers still haven't revealed much of what it'll bring. But they have now confirmed something that might not be big but is large: they plan for the expansion to feel as big as the whole base game all over again. Factorio is not a small game, so that's an impressive plan.
Today 2K Games and Visual Concepts released a new trailer of the upcoming wrestling game WWE 2K22.
The trailer is brief, but we get to see four legends of WWE that will make a comeback in the game as playable characters, Chyna, Booker T, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Big Boss Man.

Games in a series are always going to have commonalities. It’s a given. However with the Rune Factory line, there would be a tendency for certain themes to vary from game to game. The original started things off. The sequel focused on the second generation being the “important” one. The third introduced a protagonist who would be able to shift between human and monster. Rune Factory 4 offered the idea of the protagonist being something of an authority figure. Rather than a more drastic leap to the next new theme or idea, people might find Rune Factory 5 feeling more like a jump to the left. Especially in the first hour or so.
As with every entry, Rune Factory 5 begins with an amnesiac protagonist. You initially know who you are and what you’re capable of as the game begins. However when coming to the rescue of Hina, one of Rigbarth’s children, you lose your memory. You’re brought to town, tested to make sure you possess no ill intent, and are inducted into Seed. (Not the FFVIII mercenary group, but also it is a group of folks who declare themselves protectors and errand-people for people.) You take on requests from the bulletin board or people you meet. You manage the small bit of farmland behind headquarters, where you also live. You sometimes visit different nearby locations and fight monsters. It's typical fare for the series. But given your role as a Seed member, you feel like a person in charge in town. People are relying on you the same way they did the prince/princess in Rune Factory 4.

Getting your hands on Sony's next-gen console hasn't been easy, especially considering the PS5 stock shortages, but if you're one of the lucky ones that managed to pick up a digital or standard edition of the console, there's a great selection of first-party and third-party PS5 accessories that you don't wanna be without.
If you haven't already, you might want to consider a charging station for your DualSense controllers given the rather paltry size of the charging cable that comes included with the console, which presumably doesn't stretch from your console to the sofa.
DF Direct Weekly returns once again - perhaps inevitably given its name - and the major topic for discussion this weekly is equally inevitable: the news that Halo and Destiny creator Bungie is the latest target in the ongoing studio acquisition war, becoming a member of the illustrious collection of PlayStation Studios. However, seemingly, this is not an exclusivity play: indeed, Destiny 2 and future Bungie titles will remain as multi-format as they are today, which raises the question: what's in it for Sony?
The GamesIndustry.biz interview with Jim Ryan paints a picture of a company looking to acquire the personnel and the skills to compete in the lucrative games-as-a-service arena, while a snapshot of 860,000 Destiny 2 active users during the course of one day in a relatively quiet period, meaning that while the game doesn't dominate discourse, it's clearly got a large, committed audience: good business for Sony then, and one where you probably wouldn't want to lose the 32 percent gaming on an Xbox console. With the news that Sony apparently has a further 10 live service titles coming in a four year period (!), having that kind of expertise on-hand also adds to the value. But with that said, a $3.6b purchase in a world where Microsoft snaffled Zenimax/Bethesda for $7.5b is eye-opening to say the least.
An incredibly detailed Batman mod has been created for Grand Theft Auto 5 that includes multiple Batsuits, gadgets, a dozen bat-vehicles, and more.
JulioNIB, who's previously modded Godzilla, Superman, and Jaws into the game, released their latest creation on February 2 with a video showcasing its features (spotted by GameRant).
JUlioNIB's Batman Script Mod lets PC players don multiple Batsuits (or even walk around as an un-costumed Bruce Wayne), and run, glide, and grapple around Los Santos. The mod also adds its own melee combat reminiscent of the Arkham series, which includes that series' slow-motion finishers.

Players can also enjoy not one but 12 different bat-vehicles, including the 1989 Batmobile and the Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy. They can be called to you, sent away, and even have their own array of weapons.
Following the announcement for Japan and Asia earlier this morning, the western arm of Sega followed up with its own announcement of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles For Nintendo Switch.
Players in North America and Europe won’t have to wait long to play the game on Switch compared to their brethren in Asia, as it’ll launch in the west on June 10, one day after the other regions.
The Switch version will come with all the playable demons (Rui, Akaza, Susamaru, Yahaba, Yushiro, and Tamayo) released with post-launch updates on other platforms.
A physical release will also be available including a Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Key for Tanjiro Kamado for those who pre-order.

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human and kill the demon that massacred his family.
Google Stadia has mostly been fighting an uphill battle since its announcement. Not only was the technology new, which is always a struggle even with a name like Google behind the service, but its launch largely failed to make game streaming waves in the industry. It was released just a year before the expected launch of new-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, too, and shortly after the launch of those consoles, Google announced it was ending first-party game development and closing two of its internal Stadia studios.
Now, the latest nail in Stadia’s coffin is reportedly being hammered in, as reported by Business Insider. According to Business Insider’s new report, Google is attempting to salvage the Stadia service under the new name of “Google Stream.” At the same time, Stadia has reportedly been “deprioritized” within Google and the company has reduced interest in securing third-party deals in gaming for the streaming service.
Square Enix gradually shares Chocobo GP details online, offering insights into what racing is like. The latest update goes over the custom race settings. In it, it looked at the five categories folks can alter ahead of a race.
The different elements change things like difficulty, in-race potential hazards, and what you can expect to encounter. For example, both the Class and CPU settings influence the challenge. You could set the class to things like “beginner” or choose how capable the AI racers will be. You can determine if Magicite appear. (These are essentially power-ups to help yourself or hurt fellow racers.) You can also determine how many races there will be and if you choose which course you run for each one.

Anime adaptation Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles will come to Nintendo Switch on June 10.
The arena-based fighting game will arrive on Switch alongside all the post-release content that's hit previous editions – including 6 new characters, online missions, and balance changes.
A physical edition of the game is available to pre-order now, which comes with a bonus character unlock key for Kimetsu Academy Tanjiro Kamado.
Teh fighting game follows the same plot as the anime and manga it's based on, following Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after their family are killed by demons, each on a path for revenge, and a cure for a demon curse placed on Nezuko.
When it arrived on other formats last year, we awarded The Hinokami Chronicles a 7/10 review, calling it "a fighter that balances depth and accessibility well, but it’s hamstrung by an inconsistent story mode and a slim roster."

Whether you dislike NFTs, don't understand them, or think you can make money from them, you can't escape the NFT discourse. Game stores are no different. Valve have banned games with NFTs or cryptocurrencies from Steam, the Epic Games Stores welcomes NFTs, and now Itch.io has weighed in. In response to people asking, the folks behind the excellent indie games store have stated their beliefs plainly: "NFTs are a scam."
The Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Nintendo Switch version will appear worldwide. Sega announced it is heading to North America and Europe as well. There will be a near debut for it too. It will come to Japan on June 9, 2022. Then on June 10, 2022, it will appear everywhere. Digital and physical copies will be available.
Sega also offered some updates on what people can expect at launch. There will be a Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Switch Launch Edition. This will give people early access to the Kimetsu Academy version of Tanjiro Kamado. (Normally, people need to unlock him via playing.)
There will also be the free content found in other versions. Sega didn’t mention when people will get the additional playable demons. As a reminder, Akaza, Enmu, Rui, Susamaru, Yahaba, and Yushiro with Tamayo all appeared on other platforms after launch. Each one was added in a free update. People will also get all patches that balance characters. They’ll also be able to earn more Kimetsu Points via online missions.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will come to the Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 9, 2022 and in North America and Europe on June 10, 2022. Physical pre-orders are open now. It is already available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide.

Tobii has revealed it is currently in negotiations with Sony to be the eye-tracking tech provider for the PlayStation VR2.
The press release from Tobii is short and sweet. Getting straight to the point, it states: "Tobii AB, the global leader in eye tracking and pioneer of attention computing, announces it is currently in negotiation with Sony Interactive Entertainment [to] be the eye tracking technology provider in SIE's new VR headset, PlayStation VR2."
Cygames will hold an in-game campaign in Granblue Fantasy to celebrate the title reaching 31 million users. The campaign will begin on February 8 and last until February 22, 2022. During this time, players will be able to participate in free gacha rolls and obtain Rainbow Prisms as part of their daily login bonus. Players can obtain a total of 200 Rainbow Prisms by logging in during this period. Additionally, several campaign specific quests will be available for players to complete. [Thanks, Gamer!]
Players will be able to perform one Legend Gacha roll per-day. Outside of campaign-specific quests, RP and EXP 1.5 quests will be available during this period. Participation in these quests will reward players with 1.5x more EXP and RP than usual. Additionally, Cygames will cut the AP of all main quests during the campaign in half.
Outside of the milestone campaign, Granblue Fantasy will also see the addition of the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby collaboration during this period. The event will begin on February 8, 2022. Players will be able to obtain characters from Uma Musume: Pretty Derby in Granblue Fantasy for a limited time.
Granblue Fantasy is available for PC and mobile devices. The Granblue Fantasy 31 million users campaign will be held from February 8 to February 22, 2022.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released less than two weeks ago but it’s already a hit. Not only did it review really well – Game Informer gave it an 8.75 out of 10 – but it sold a massive 6.5 million copies in just seven days. A new mystery gift distribution might get more players excited to jump back into the Hisui region, or it might get those on the fence to finally pick up the game.
News of this incoming mystery gift distribution event comes by way of Serebii.net, which spotted signage for the event. Serebii notes that the event seems to be exclusive to GameStop and will run from February 25 through March 13. It will give players a Hisuian Growlithe and 20 Feather Balls.
