Want to see how everything works in Evil Dead: The Game? As a survivor, you’ll have to loot up and complete objectives before taking the battle to The Dark Ones themselves. To do this, you have to gear up and take advantage of numerous caches of loot scattered across the vast map.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will launch on May 10 and arrive on Xbox Game Pass the same day. The action-RPG will also be available for $14.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC, as per the game's official Twitter.
Rising was announced at E3 last year as a spin-off to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (which releases in 2023 and is the Suikoden spiritual successor). It's a 2.5D town-building and dungeon crawling RPG that sets up the story of the main release.

Riot Games has released the Teamfight Tactics 12.7 patch notes ahead of the game's next world championship tournament, giving players a glimpse of what to expect during the next big competition.
Many augments are undergoing changes in this new patch, including Electrocharge becoming more costly to use, the removal of Hextech Crest, and a slight buff to Woodland Charm's health boost. A few augments will also see their tiers adjusted, including Four Score and Tiny Titans dropping from gold to silver while Hextech Heart and Sniper's Nest bump up from silver to gold.
Ahri's Tier 2 unit will see its Volley attack boosted slightly in this new patch.Multiple units in all tiers will be adjusted with the TFT 12.7 patch as well, with notable changes including Tier 3 Tryndamere's Spinning Slash dealing more damage and Seraphine Tier 4's mana buff decreasing slightly.
The Teamfight Tactics 12.7 patch will go live on both PC and mobile April 13, just in time for the Set Six/6.5 World Championship beginning April 29. 32 players from around the world will compete for a chance to play in the grand finals on May 1 and take home the $48,000 first prize.
Use the center emote in the emote wheel pre-game loadout to change what emote plays when your Tactician jumps out of portals.
Double Trouble I/II/III bonus AD, AP, Armor, and MR: 30/40/50 → 25/35/45

Riot Games has released the League of Legends 12.7 patch notes, and the update will finally bring the newest champion in the Nexus down from her pedestal.
The electrically-charged Zeri is the hardest hit in this new patch, with every one of her attacks being affected when the update goes live. Furthermore, her base armor and attack damage are being reduced, though her base health growth is being given a small boost to compensate.
The League of Legends 12.7 patch at a glance. On the flip side, the warrior Pantheon has received a few gracious buffs, including a longer reach for his Comet Spear and a faster drop when using Grand Starfall. It's not all buffs in this patch for Pantheon, though, as his base health regeneration does take a slight tumble.
Other champions affected by the patch include Gangplank, Jayce, and Kalista, while a handful of items--Moonstone Renewer and Umbral Glaive among others--have also seen some adjustments. The full list of changes is below.
The League of Legends 12.7 patch is due to be implemented April 13. The next patch 12.8, will server as the tournament patch for the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational, slated to begin on May 10.
Gangplank is arrrguably struggling at all levels of play. He's already got enough gunpowder in his Q and barrels, so we're putting some power into less explosive and more… orange… parts of his kit.

Halo has dabbled with third-person camera angles before, namely when Master Chief is using a turret, driving a vehicle, or wielding a heavy weapon. But this third-person mod from Opulent Halo puts Master Chief's Zeta Halo adventure in a whole new light.
As highlighted by PC Gamer, the mod released back in January for Halo Infinite on PC. Thankfully, now is as good a time as any to dive back into Halo Infinite's campaign. Though Halo has always been a first-person franchise (not counting the early, pre-Xbox versions of the game), this mod shows it works surprisingly well in third-person too. While it might not be as "immersive," it's still cool to see Master Chief shoot, slide, and grapple around the world 343 Industries has created from a new point-of-view.
Most people ask themselves normal questions like, “Is it going to rain later?” and “What should I have for dinner tonight?” Many Elden Ring players are not normal, however, which is why one asked himself if he could beat the game’s bosses by exclusively smashing ass. Nobody does weapon skins quite like Riot Games for its popular tactical shooter Valorant, and as is typical a new bundle has been teased in tandem with this week’s update. Called Doodle Buds, the theme this time around is centered around a unique kill animation that adds color to drawings etched onto each weapon.
For every kill you manage to land in a round, the pictures on your weapon become colored. You can see a demonstration in the string of Tweets from Valorant’s official channel below.
Meet your new two-dimensional team: Doodle Buds. Available in your shop starting April 13. pic.twitter.com/S2XCr7fF0t
— VALORANT (@PlayVALORANT) April 12, 2022
There’s no word yet on the cost of the bundle, but as you can see in the image above it features a Phantom, Martial, Stinger, Shorty, and Ares. If we had to guess, this won’t be as expensive as premium skinlines that feature bespoke kill SFX and custom designs that differ from the standard look of each weapon. We’ll keep you posted as to when we learn more, though.
In other recent Valorant news, you can check out the leaked images of the game’s anticipated mobile project, which appears to have entered a trial phase over in China.
A scientist has used facial reconstruction technology on the skeletons from Skyrim.
Twitter user Sulkalmakh, who's part of the Ancestral Whispers cranial reconstruction research team, posted (below) what appeared to be another normal project but a deeper look revealed its nerdy origins.
This particular specimen was an "ancient Atmoran from Saarthal, dated to the late Merethic Era," they said. In other words, it's the skeleton model from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, revived into a grumpy looking cave man.

The tweet was then noticed by Jonah Lobe, who wasn't just a Bethesda developer who worked on Skyrim but the actual designer of the skeleton.
"You did an awesome job with the reconstruction," he said. "I wanted them to look thuggish, thick-jawed, thick-browed and sort of Neanderthal-like. This is that.
"Since they were going to be attacking the player I wanted them to look intimidating but not with those meanie-eyes you see on so many fantasy skeletons. The answer, for me, was to go heavy with the brows and big with the teeth, and just thicc overall."
The latest weekly reset for Destiny has just kicked in, and with it comes a fresh set of seasonal challenges. It's another modest week on this front, as you'll be fine-tuning hand cannons, crushing the Ghosts of Lucent Hives, and running the latest raid as part of this week's objectives.
Completing these challenges is well worth the effort, as you'll gain a substantial amount of experience in the process. That in turn helps you fill up your season pass sooner, grabbing even more loot in the process. It's a win-win situation.
Even better, you can pursue these seasonal challenges at your own leisure, as they'll only expire once a season concludes. If you decide to take a break from Destiny 2 for a week or two, you can return and complete multiple challenges at the same time. For more on the game, you can check out the latest Iron Banter column, save up some Legendary Shards now that Xur no longer sells junk armor, and spend all your Iron Banner tokens before it's too late.

Update 03/14/22: Elden Ring has now been completed in six minutes and 59 seconds.
Distortion2 continues to dominate the speedrunning community by cutting down his own records over and over again.
He tweeted his latest time earlier today, saying that while there's still room for improvement, he's "done with this for now".
WORLDS FIRST SUB 7 MINUTES IN ELDEN RING. This category has been quite the ride. Still some room for improvement but I am done with this for now :) pic.twitter.com/0EBda2gnSn
— Distortion2 🕐 Elden Ring (@Distortion_2) April 12, 2022
Original Story: An Elden Ring speedrunner has now beaten the game in less than nine minutes.
YouTube user Distortion2 has cut his time down to just 8 minutes and 56 seconds, primarily using the Zip glitch – which essentially allows players to teleport across different parts of the map.
Combined with other exploits that allow most of the game to be skipped, Distortion2 has shaved minutes from his time day after day since setting the first under-30 minute speedrun a month ago.
Amid rumors that Halo Infinite co-developer Certain Affinity is making a new mode for Halo Infinite that could be inspired by battle royale, the Austin, Texas-based company has teased that is working alongside 343 to evolve Halo Infinite in "new and exciting ways."
In a tweet today, Certain Affinity said, "We're honored to say we are deepening our relationship with 343 and have been entrusted with further evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways." The tweet also links to Certain Affinity's careers page, which has a whopping 40+ open positions. It's possible the tweet is an attempt to help the company with recruiting--and that wouldn't be surprising given many companies in the video game business and outside are trying to staff up right now.
Not all of Certain Affinity's positions are for Halo Infinite, though. The company is also making a new IP and it also contributes to Call of Duty games. A spokesperson for Microsoft declined to share more information about Certain Affinity's work on Halo Infinite when asked by GameSpot.
A Handheld History is an upcoming 252-page hardcover coffee table book coming from Lost In Cult and Retro Dodo. As the name implies, it's a book all about the history of handhelds and handheld gaming.
It features words and handheld-centric essays from writers in and around the gaming industry like Jason Bradbury, Janet Garcia (Lost In Cult, Pen To Pixels), Jeff Grubb (VentureBeat), Mike Diver (GAMINGbible), and more. Plus, it contains tons of beautiful and original art throughout.
"Brought to you in partnership with Retro Dodo – the internet's leading retro gaming site – A Handheld History is an explorative jaunt through systems and games that defined the legacy of portable systems," the website for A Handheld History reads. "Less of a historical account and more of a poignant, introspective adventure across decades of gaming memories, this book will reconnect you to that long car trip full of Tetriminos, Mewtwos, and discarded AA batteries before speeding ahead to our contemporary days of OLED screens and blockbusters in your backpack."
An earlier version of Elden Ring included an in-depth mechanic revolving around harvesting the dreams of sleeping enemies, something that there is little trace of in the full version of Elden Ring.
Dataminers and hackers have been having a field day dissecting Elden Ring, going so far to even compare the launch version of the game with that of the limited-time network test version released in November 2021. Courtesy of From Software YouTubers Sekiro Dubi and Lance McDonald, one of the most exciting discoveries players have found in the network test build is a cut NPC character, Monk Jinko, that would have occupied the Scavenger's Shack near the approach to Stormveil Castle. He offers to brew the player an alcoholic beverage once forbidden to mortals, Dreambrew. He only asks that players bring him the ingredients.
The second trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes debuted this morning, and it’s promising me everything that I could want in the musou follow-up to a tactical RPG masterpiece. After showing our new protagonist getting beaten down by the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the video goes straight into…
Two great games about patience, mastery, and dying horribly combine in a Trials Rising custom track which races through the world of Elden Ring. Made by a player, the level does a surprisingly good job of capturing a sense of Elden Ring-ness, stunting on your motorbike past the Erdtree and over a castle towards an all-too-familiar ending.
Elden Ring's late-game bosses are tough, so what better way to ease the pain of FromSoftware latest epic than by cutting out the middle man and getting one boss to fight another boss on your behalf? We've already had one such showdown before, pitting Malenia against Starcourge Radahn (and his pal Leonard the horse), and the victor of that skirmish is now back, this time taking on Maliketh, the Black Blade.
This latest battle of Elden Ring's elite comes courtesy of the Garden of Eyes, the same modder that bought Malenia face to face with Radahn (and that also pitted Bloodborne's Lady Maria against Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu), this time promising the "ultimate battle of the Shardbearers" and delivering a whole lot of pyrotechnics as the two fight it out.
Those who've yet to enter the gauntlet of carefully curated misery that makes up Elden Ring's final stretch will obviously want to steer clear of Garden of Eyes' latest head-to-head for obvious spoiler reasons, but those eager to see who reigns victorious this time around simply need to watch the video below.

Some gaming tech experts think that recent gameplay footage of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 might look a little too good for the Nintendo Switch's hardware.
In an episode of Digital Foundry Weekly--which regularly provides informative tech breakdowns on video game performance across multiple systems--and spotted by GamesRadar, DF members Richard Leadbetter, John Linneman, and Alex Battaglia analyzed the latest trailer for Nintendo's Breath of the Wild 2.
Beyond a detailed look at how the game incorporates various technologies to make gameplay more vibrant and sharper than its predecessor, the group began to doubt if the Nintendo Switch can currently handle the upgraded graphics.
As Battaglia pointed out, volumetric clouds on Switch are rarely seen and perfect anti-aliasing--something even the Xbox Series X struggles with--also seemed to point at the sequel footage may be running on a more powerful version of Nintendo's hybrid console.
Hey fellow Wordle fans, today is April 12 and you’re probably here looking for today's Wordle answer. While Wordle will send you hunting for what today’s answer could possibly be, I’m here to lend you all a particularly helping hand. Tell you what, I’ll even give you the word, that way you can fill it in on the first guess and feel on top of the world knowing you kept your streak and nailed it in one shot--with a bit of help, admittedly. After all, the second-best feeling after getting the correct word is sharing online how few tries it took you to get there.
Before I go right on ahead and give you today’s answer though, have you given today’s puzzle a fair shake? We’ve got a guide on the best Wordle starting words and tips you can use to get a nice advantage while playing. I have my own starting word that I typically use, and while most days it turns up one or two hits, it put in a lot of work on today’s word and helped me get it in three shots. Would’ve been two if I’d gone with my initial guess, honestly. Starting words are powerful, y’all, don’t sleep on them.

Datacards in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga have replaced the Red Bricks found in most other LEGO games.
Similar to Red Bricks, Datacards are required to unlock cheats, but the big difference is that you can’t enter a code to get Datacards instantly. Instead, you have to find Datacard locations scattered across all nine episodes in order to toggle cheats like handy Stud multipliers or Big Head Mode.
This guide will explain exactly how to get Datacards, and all Datacard locations in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga.
Jetpacks are back in Fortnite. Epic vaulted this unique transportation item way back at the end of Chapter 1. Since then, jetpacks have remained in the vault, waiting for a chance to be unvaulted. That chance is here in Chapter 3, and players can now find and use jetpacks in Fortnite. However, like with most new items, the location of the jetpacks is not readily apparent in Season 2. Luckily, players are able to find them at specific spots on the map. Here's where to find jetpacks in Fortnite
As of right now in Season 2, jetpacks are only found on the IO airships floating above the island. There are roughly five airships locations currently on the map, which players can either land on from the Battle Bus or take its attached ascenders or ziplines on the ground. Currently, in Season 2, the IO airships are located above the following POIs:
Keep in mind that the location of these airship blimps will vary each week as the war effort moves forces around the island. Once players have selected a location to drop, they can land on (or zip up to) the walkways of the airship and then use the door to access the inside of it. In the rooms of the airship, a jetpack will be mounted on the wall on the inside of the entrance door. Interact with the jetpack to add it to your inventory.

The game will launch on May 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
On top of the platforms mentioned above, it’ll also be included on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass both on consoles and PC.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s an official description. You can also watch plenty of gameplay and enjoy my hands-on preview.
“Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town’s rise from the ashes.
Drawn by lenses and other treasure in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they’ll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don’t think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they’ll learn more about each other’s reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process.
As you will learn, these Runebarrows hide a great secret that has fateful implications for one of the characters. What begins as a simple treasure hunt turns into a dark conspiracy that will shake the world and plant seeds that carry over into the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with thrilling action and engaging town-upgrading elements.”
What is the most visually impressive indie game you've ever seen? From our perspective, The Ascent - released last summer for PC and Xbox - is a strong candidate. This Unreal Engine 4-based isometric action game features dense environmental geometry, great lighting, and high quality effects work. It's easily mistaken for a big-budget title but was in fact primarily made by Neon Giant, a small Swedish studio with just 12 core developers. Previously an Xbox console exclusive, The Ascent is now available for current-gen and last-gen PlayStation consoles - and we highly recommend it.
Whether you're gaming on PS4 or PS5, The Ascent retains its signature visual appeal - it's a beautiful title that combines extremely detailed environmental geometry with stunning pyrotechnics. As action breaks out The Ascent becomes an electrifying visual showcase, bathed in explosions and bullet trails. The interplay between the environment and the action is a key highlight here: stray bullets and explosions chip at barriers and take chunks out of concrete slabs. Despite massive levels packed with dense environmental meshes, everything seems to fit together surprisingly well, without any geometric or lighting discontinuities. Even the game's narrative sequences, which zoom in to close range, don't highlight many shortcomings.

The story picks up several months after the events of 2019's Season 3. A powerless Eleven and the Byers family have moved to California. Hopper is being held captive in Russia. Our remaining friends must pick up the pieces while starting high school. Naturally, the ongoing supernatural menace and the sinister government conspiracy attached to it continue to haunt the world’s unluckiest small town. Per a warning to Eleven in the trailer: “a war is coming. Your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of a storm.”

Stranger Things 4 consists of nine episodes, each with a runtime twice as long as before. Because the episodes are supersized, they’ll be divided and released in two batches that are five weeks apart. Volume 1 premieres on May 27, and Volume 2 arrives on July 1. It's unknown how many episodes are in each volume, but one would imagine it's a clean split, so four/five each.
