How To Deploy Aquatic Communications Relays In Fortnite

The Fortnite deploy aquatic communication relays challenge near Logjam Lumberyard is a two-part quest in Chapter 2, Season 3 that rewards you with a significant amount of XP for relatively little effort. As with any challenge that takes you to the edges of the map, make sure to knock this one out shortly after you land. In most cases, the storm’s first shrinkage will cut you off from the Lumberyard and the quest.

How to establish a device uplink in Logjam Lumberyard

Unsurprisingly, establishing a device uplink in Logjam Lumberyard means actually reaching Logjam Lumberyard first. It’s in the map’s northwest portion, west of Shifty Shafts and right on the northeastern shore of the large lake. Your first task is just activating the uplink device. Head to the northeastern shore, near where the river meets the lake, and you’ll find the device projecting a blue hologram of a communication signal. Interact with it to get 23,000 XP and move on to the next step.

Ghost of Tsushima Movie Adaptation Finds Its Screenwriter

Sony Pictures has named Takashi Doscher as the writer for the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima film adaptation, according to Deadline.

Doscher previously wrote sci-fi romance Only, and his most recent project, Blue, is a twist on a Japanese monster movie that's currently in development.

The story will be a retelling of Jin Sakai's journey as seen in Ghost of Tsushima, where the samurai warrior fights to free the island of Tsushima from a Mongol invasion.

A movie based on the 2020 PlayStation 4 exclusive was announced last year, where we learned John Wick director Chad Stahelski will helm the project. The production will also have input from Sucker Punch, the studio that developed the video game.

Stahelski has said the filmmakers are "taking our time and doing it right. We're working very closely with the game developers to make sure we stick to what's great about it."

The Ghost of Tsushima movie is just one part of a larger push from Sony to bring its PlayStation IP to the silver screen. Beyond Ghost, there's the recently-released Uncharted movie, The Last of Us TV show, a God of War series, and more.

Sony and Lego's owners have invested $2 billion in Epic Games

Last week, Epic and Lego announced their intent to build "a space in the metaverse" for children. Today, Sony and KRIKBI - the investment company behind The Lego Group - announced that they'd each invested $1 billion (around £769m) in Epic Games to aid more broadly with "the company's vision to build the metaverse."

As always, all of this is more fun if you replace the word "metaverse" with, for example, "Habbo Hotel."

Now That Chrono Cross Has a Remaster, It’s Time for Chrono Trigger in HD-2D

Fans of the Chrono series rejoiced when Square Enix announced Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, which was released last week. This remaster contains two of the three games in the series: Chrono Cross and Radical Dreamers, the two follow-up games to the beloved classic Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a welcome surprise; both of the included games have been pretty inaccessible to play since their original releases. Chrono Cross was only released on the original PlayStation, and Radical Dreamers was only released in Japan on the Super Famicom’s Satellaview peripheral.

This is the first time either game has seen a re-release in over 20 years, opening the door for new players to enjoy them. They aren’t just straight ports, either—Square Enix polished up the character models and illustrations as well as added quality-of-life improvements such as auto-save, 2x speed mode, auto-battle, and more. It’s a great way to play them in this day and age.

Though I very much appreciate being able to play these games on modern platforms with their various improvements, there’s one very important piece missing: the inclusion of Chrono Trigger, the game that started the series altogether.

Falling GPU prices mean an RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT is less than £400

You don't need me to tell you that graphics cards prices are crazy these days - but things are getting slowly better. I noticed this afternoon that the RTX 3060 and the RX 6600 XT, the two major '1080p performance' GPUs, have now dipped under £400. That's still about £70 to £100 over the base RRP, but it's a big improvement over the situation for the past year where we often saw these cards retailing - and selling - for over £500, £600 and even £700.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Might Be Too Big for the Nintendo Switch, Experts Say

Will The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 launch on an as-yet unrevealed Nintendo console? Some tech experts are theorizing that could be the case based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2's most recent round of footage.

Over on Digital Foundry (first reported by GamesRadar), Richard Leadbetter, John Linneman, and Alex Battaglia dissected the most recent Breath of the Wild 2 footage, pointing out a couple of details that suggest the next big Zelda game might be too big to perform on the current Switch hardware.

"This trailer was interesting because the image quality seemed quite good, I think," Linneman said. "I was a little bit surprised by how sharp and clear this looked compared to the original in general."

Battaglia dove into specifics, saying that the "volumetric clouds" present in the footage would be hard for the current 2017 Switch to pull off, while camera cuts with perfect anti-aliasing are something even the Xbox Series X struggles with.

"It could be the next Switch, it could be just that they rendered out a trailer on higher resolution and higher settings," Battaglia said.

However, the guys were quick to point out that Nintendo generally doesn't release trailers at a higher quality than the final product, with one exception being the draw distance for the original Breath of the Wild.

Release:
Rating: Mature

As the Demon in Evil Dead: The Game, you have a lot of work to do – after all, you have to beat 4 other players! However, you have a rather nasty toolbox at your command, full of traps, possessions, and even the ability to summon horrific boss monsters that will destroy your prey. Of course, the first challenge is simply to find them, a task that can be daunting given how big the map is. Survivors can do things that give away their position too like riding in cars, so it’s important to pay close attention to the minimap.

Hironobu Sakaguchi 'In Planning Stages' For New Projects After Receiving Multiple Offers

Despite numerous hints over the years that he might be slipping into something that looked like retirement, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi appears to be far from done making games.

In an interview with IGN, Sakaguchi confirmed that he's been approached with one or two offers for new projects that he's currently considering... in between sessions of Final Fantasy 14.

"They're still in the planning stages, where we're deciding on how the business will work and putting together contracts, so it's not as if we've started on actual development, but I do think I'll be working on something," he said. "Of course, the more concrete those plans start to look, the more I feel like I need to play FF14 while I still can."

Sakaguchi has been spending a lot of time gaming lately, especially Final Fantasy 14, though he added in the same interview that he isn't interested in getting involved with its development and doesn't want to learn any inside information about it, for fear it would ruin his experience as a player and ability to connect with the FF14 community.

But he's playing other games, too, trying to get in as much gaming time as possible before he dives into a new project of his own.

6 Kingdom Hearts 4 Burning Questions

It’s time to dive into the heart yet again, as the Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer offered a surprisingly deep look at the next numbered sequel in Square Enix and Disney’s long-running franchise. Though it begins a new arc in Kingdom Hearts’ overarching narrative, it’s a sequel clearly ingrained in the series’ fundamentals and lore from all corners of the Kingdom Hearts and Disney universes.

So,if you’re a Kingdom Hearts expert who knows the series from Ansem to Zexion, you likely recognized and guessed at many of the topics we're going to dig into. But if you’ve just occasionally dabbled in the universe and are wondering how Sora ended up in what looks like Tokyo, let’s examine the biggest burning questions the Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer left us with, and some potential answers for them.

Before we get going, a couple of qualifiers - while we’re going to be touching on some deep Kingdom Hearts lore, this is by no means a comprehensive primer on any and everything Kingdom Hearts. There is, quite frankly, so much to get into even with these topics, particularly related to the backstory of the series prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts 1. Nonetheless, there will be some spoilers for the Kingdom Hearts series to date, including Kingdom Hearts 3 - consider this your spoiler warning!

"No Guarantee" League Of Legends MMO Will Ship, Producer Says, But Development Is Going "Super Well"

Riot Games is currently working on an unnamed MMORPG set within the League of Legends world of Runeterra, and while development is "going super well," there is no guarantee the project will ever see the light of day, according to the game's executive producer Greg Street.

Street took to Twitter a few days back to comment on how the in-progress MMO will be the fourth major project he's worked on, and will likely be the last. Street previously worked on Age of Empires III and World of Warcraft before joining Riot as a lead designer on League of Legends. Riot's MMO will be a "good final act," Street tweeted, assuming the game ships. While the team is optimistic, he makes clear nothing is set in stone.
