The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe can now (sort of) play itself with its new auto-walk toggle

1 year 9 months ago

With the games release schedule starting to ease up a bit, I've finally found some time to really dig into The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. I've enjoyed revisiting this meta first-person puzzler, but sometimes I can only manage small chunks before its endlessly repeating corridors start to feel like they're bearing down on me a bit. Thankfully, its latest quality of life update might just be the thing I need. As well as introducing a swathe of new accessibility features, its auto-walk function now has a toggle option - and as developers Crows Crows Crows have noted on Twitter, this means that "so long as you're in a straight corridor it allows the game to play itself!" Magic.

Lost Ark's Spells in Spades update adds new card-flinging Arcanist class

1 year 9 months ago

Lost Ark's big July update has arrived, bringing with it, among other things, the new Arcanist advanced mage class, who gets things done by tossing magic cards about the place.

Alongside the Arcanist, July's update (officially titled Spells in Spades) introduces a new ultra-tough Inferno difficulty version of the Valtan Legion raid - which requires item level 1445 to participate in - plus tougher Challenge Abyssal Dungeons. This twist on standard Abyssal Dungeons is a weekly activity that, like the updated Valtan Legion raid, will feature its own increased rewards for players able to overcome its challenges.

It's undoubtedly the Arcanist that's taking centre-stage though, and she joins the Bard and Sorceress as Lost Ark's third available Mage Advanced Class. Using special cards imbued with Magick, she's able to deploy them in multiple ways, summoning powerful attacks from within the cards or simply using them in massive numbers to slice up foes.

Does FIFA 23 Have World Cup Qatar 2022 & Women’s World Cup 2023? Answered

1 year 9 months ago

If you are a fan of soccer/football, each year’s release of EA’s FIFA game should get you all excited. However, with 2022 being a World Cup year, the anticipation is even higher. So, with FIFA 23 on the horizon, you might be asking yourself: will FIFA 23 feature World Cup Qatar 2022 & Women’s World Cup 2023? Let us give you the answer you are searching for.

Men’s & Women’s World Cups in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 will feature both the men’s World Cup Qatar 2022 as well the women’s World Cup 2023 for the first ever, adding to the already substantial club and national team setups existing in the game. The chase for international glory can be part of your journey in FIFA 23, with EA promising to share more details in the coming weeks about both modes, aside from the fact that Sam Kerr and Kylian Mbappe are gracing the covers of the Ultimate Edition.

Will the World Cup Be in Ultimate Team?

At the time of writing, there are no confirmed details surrounding the World Cup being featured in FIFA 23′ Ultimate Team mode. However, if past years are anything to go by, there may well be a promotional event that brings ‘Special’ versions of player cards based on their performance in the World Cup to the card-based mode.

As soon as we have any details on this front, we’ll update this post and let you know.

Are There Women’s Club Teams in FIFA 23?

1 year 9 months ago

With the end of the year coming up, it means it’s time for EA to release yet another FIFA game. However, this year’s version promises to be the biggest one yet, especially since the series will undergo a rebranding soon. In terms of content, if you are wondering if FIFA 23 will feature women club teams? We have got the important information you’ll need to know about this particular question.

FIFA 23 Women Club Teams

In short, yes indeed, FIFA 23 will feature women club teams and leagues for the very first time. The Women’s Super League from England and the Division 1 Féminine from France will be included in FIFA 23.

Players can expect the most authentic experience when it comes to clubs, players, stadiums, and even broadcast packages. This makes perfect sense, considering that Chelsea star Sam Kerr is on the cover as well.

All of the action on the pitch will be powered by the new HyperMotion2 technology, which has also been used to allow for the animation of female players that have been specially captured to bring the game to life as a distinction from the men’s game.

Is FIFA 23 Crossplay? Answered

1 year 9 months ago

When it comes to sports video games, there will always be a need for friends and families to come together and compete to see who comes out on top. However, as with the changing of console generations, not everyone has had the chance to play together, especially online. If you are wondering if FIFA 23 will have crossplay functionality, then you are in the right spot to find out.

FIFA 23 Crossplay Explained

The good news is that there will indeed be crossplay support in FIFA 23, however, it does come with some conditions attached. First of all, only players of the same console generation can play together. That means PS5 players will get to play with their mates on Xbox Series X|S or PC via Stadia, while PS4 players will have their own side of the pitch with Xbox One players.

This improvement also sees the Stadia version of the game finally achieving parity with the current generation consoles, allowing it to have the same engine and joining the same ecosystem to create an even more connected world in FIFA 23.

It’s also worth noting that FIFA 23 crossplay will only be a thing in 1v1 modes, such as Ultimate Team, or Online Seasons. For now, it looks like Pro Clubs will not be included in the cross-platform play fun.

Tekken: Bloodline Anime Opens in August

1 year 9 months ago

Tekken: Bloodline

Tekken: Bloodline, Netflix's animated take on the hit fighting game series, opens on August 18, 2022. That's the reveal from the show's latest trailer, uploaded to Netflix's official YouTube channel.

Check it out below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6-donCAnCc

Tekken: Bloodline appears to function as an origin story of sorts for Jin Kazama, son of Tekken icon Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama. Jin first appeared in Tekken 3 and quickly took his place as one of the main characters of the series alongside his father and Heihachi Mishima, his grandfather.

The Tekken: Bloodline trailer shows a Jin haunted by the loss of his mother to Ogre. He approaches Heihachi to learn Mishima-style karate. He meets characters like Paul Phoenix, Nina Williams, King, and other Tekken alumni. The trailer even sets up a battle between Jin and Leroy Smith, who first appeared in Tekken 7. This encounter would mark the first chronological point in which Leroy appears in the Tekken storyline.

FIFA 23 has a new power shot

1 year 9 months ago

FIFA 23's big new gameplay feature is a power shot.

The power shot, which is available across generations (so, for example, PS4 and PS5), is a new skill-based, risk versus reward shooting mechanic.

EA wanted to introduce more skill to shooting, the company said during a recent presentation attended by Eurogamer, so in FIFA 23, if you carve out enough space for yourself and aim precisely, you can score impressive-looking goals that have more power and accuracy, but with the risk of a longer animation.

New Halloween Ends Trailer Pits Laurie Strode & Michael Myers Against One Another in an Epic, Final Showdown

1 year 9 months ago

It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like John Carpenter’s popular slasher series will be finally coming to a close when Halloween Ends hits theaters this coming Oct. 16.

Spanning almost 45 years, with an impressive catalogue of 13 movies, the beloved horror saga is set to ring in the final bout between the knife-toting maniac, Michael Myers, and the strong yet shy heroine, Laurie Strode.

To drum up some hype for the final film’s upcoming cinematic release, Universal Pictures has dropped a freshly-cut trailer that sets the stage for the final showdown. Go ahead and take a gander at the new footage down below:

With Jamie Lee Curtis returning to reprise her iconic role and David Gordon Green returning as writer-director (Green wrote and directed 2021’s well-received Halloween Kills), the general scuttlebutt is looking pretty positive for the eagerly anticipated finale.

As for John Carpenter‘s involvement — he’s the OG creator of the entire IP after all — he’ll largely be focused on delivering his classic atmospheric synth-wave score, with the help of his son, Cody Carpenter. Outside of writing the score for Halloween Ends, the Master of Horror’s meaningful contribution is unclear, though he has gone on record to say that this conclusion to the horror series will be a “departure from the others.”

This crew will even share their thoughts as they’re wandering about. See for yourself in the trailer below.

Deathverse: Let It Die Video Focuses on Comments from Players, Jokes About PC Port

1 year 9 months ago

GungHo Online Entertainment and Supertrick Games released a new developer diary video of the upcoming survival action game Deathverse: Let It Die.

In the video (which Twinfinite can exclusively reveal), director Hideyuki Shin and iconic character Uncle Death chat about the comments and complaints received from players who took part in the open beta of the game.

Besides comments about the possibility of new maps and the utility of dodging, the developers certainly appear to like joking about a PC port, which apparently has been requested a bunch of times by the fans.

Is this really a joke, or perhaps a tease? We have no way to tell for now.

Of course, this doesn’t automatically means that it’ll happen, as nothing has been promised, but you never know.

You can check out the video below. If you want to learn more, you can also enjoy last week’s video, in which Shin-san and Uncle Death exposed the results of the survey generated by the open beta.

Deathverse: Let It Die is a follow-up to the original Let It Die, and will launch as a free-to-play game-as-a-service “soon” for PS5 and PS4.

No Man's Sky Endurance Update Reworks How Players Build And Command Freighters And Fleets

1 year 9 months ago

No Man's Sky

No Man’s Sky’s 20th free update, Endurance, soars into the game today. Hello Games describes Endurance as an “overhaul” to the freighter captain experience, giving players new tools and functionality that make commanding a fleet of ships more entertaining and manageable.

Players can oversee their brigade from a new bridge on their ship deck and now have instant access to teleportation rooms. Players can spacewalk on exterior walkways on their ship, which will provide views of the denser, more varied asteroid fields. Constructing manufacturing facilities lets players produce food and other resources, and you can construct other massive structures upon your capital ship. Perhaps the coolest of all is the ability to collect dreadnaught-sized aliens known as living frigates. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of these features and others.

Endurance goes live today in all versions of No Man’s Sky. Hopefully, that will include the upcoming Switch version, which launches on October 7

Here’s Cats Watching People Play Stray Because We Know It’s the Content You Want

1 year 9 months ago

Stray, the latest game from Annapurna Interactive, is having a great launch week, and the game isn’t just popular with the people playing it. Cats seem interested in the game too, and their owners have been posting adorable pictures and videos online to prove it.

The game has players navigating a dystopian, cyberpunk world through the eyes of a stray cat who is trying to reunite with its family. Of course, there are plenty of cat antics that happen on screen, such as scratching with your claws and jumping onto places cats shouldn’t be. There’s even a dedicated “meow” button.

You can see why Stray would catch the attention of pet cats that may be hanging around the room while owners play it more than the typical video game would. Since there’s no such thing as too much cat content on the Internet, we’ve compiled some of the most wholesome pictures and videos of cats watching their owners play Stray for you to enjoy.

Below you can see SaucySione’s black and white cat taking interest in watching the main cat character in Stray move around the environment early in the game, even trying to paw at it at one point.
