How to Get Silver Leaves in Destiny 2

1 year 9 months ago

Solstice of Heroes 2022 is back once again in Destiny 2, and it requires players to farm Silver Leaves in order to obtain event rewards. If you weren’t aware, Silver Leaves is one of the primary currencies of this event which can be converted into Silver Ash to upgrade the armor. In case you’re wondering how to farm them during the Solstice of Heroes 2022 event, we can show you some ways to earn Silver Leaves in Destiny 2.

How to Farm Silver Leaves in Destiny 2

The best way to get Silver Leaves in Destiny 2 is by completing various activities while wearing Candescent armor. After speaking with Eva Levante, you can unlock this armor set during the Solstice of Heroes 2022 event.

She’s the leading vendor of this event which grants you a bundle containing the Candescent armor. After wearing the armor set, complete any activity in the game to get Silver Leaves. It’s worth noting that you must have one empty armor slot in each section to get this exclusive bundle.

Another way to farm Silver Leaves is by talking to Eva Levante for a second time. This time around, she will grant you a few Silver Leaves that you can use to upgrade the armor set. You can also farm around eight silver leaves by participating in the Wellspring event on Savathûn’s Throne World.

Finally, other activities like Public Events and Lost Sectors also give Silver Leaves upon completion.

Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2022 event commenced on July 19 with patch 4.1.5. Following the previous patterns, the event may last for a month. Thus, make sure you complete all the event objectives and grab those nifty rewards.

How to Get Silver Ash in Destiny 2

1 year 9 months ago

With Destiny 2 currently in the midst of its Solstice of Heroes event, there is definitely plenty for players to get up to and be rewarded at the same time. With a brand new take on things in 2022, players will have to get familiar with the new things to do in order to benefit. For those that are wondering just how to get Silver Ash in Destiny 2, let us lend you a hand.

How to Get Destiny 2 Silver Ash

In order to get your hands on this precious new currency that can be used to upgrade your armor, you will have to transform Silver Leaves into Silver Ash in Destiny 2. This is only possible by completing the Bonfire Bash activity.

However, there is no proper exchange rate, so to speak, meaning that 1 Silver Leave does not equate to 1 Silver Ash, so your final count may vary. As long as you can get plenty of Silver Leaves, getting Silver Ash will be easy.

How to Complete Bonfire Bash in Destiny 2

Depending on the race you are going up against, things in the Bonfire Bash will change. However, at its core, these are the segments to keep in mind.

  1. Eliminate all interfering enemies.

Doing so will allow the Bonfire to start growing.

Why Did Kim Break Up With Jimmy in Better Call Saul?

1 year 9 months ago

Fun and Games is absolutely a pivotal episode in Better Call Saul, especially with Kim finally breaking up with Jimmy in its closing scenes.

While we believe that the reasoning behind the breakup is fairly obvious and self-explanatory, there are a few more little details we can glean from the episode itself. With that in mind, let’s get into it.

Why Did Kim Break Up With Jimmy in Better Call Saul?

In the breakup scene, Kim explicitly states that it isn’t that Jimmy is bad for her. Instead, she comes to the realization that they’re both bad for each other, they bring out the worst in each other, and while they’re fine when they’re apart, they’re poisonous for the people around them when they’re together.

With Howard’s death happening just two episodes prior, it’s obvious that the incident served as the catalyst for Kim finally realizing that she’s gone too far. All throughout Better Call Saul, while Jimmy was the one who introduced the idea of using the law to pull off scams and pranks on others, Kim is the one who enables him and eventually pushes things even further.

Ultimately, in Kim’s final words to Jimmy, it becomes clear that she loved him and their relationship because she was in love with the scam. While her feelings for Jimmy were genuine, it seems clear that it was her love for scamming people that won over, and was what drove her to stick with Jimmy through thick and thin.

She says as much when she reveals that she knew Lalo was alive, but chose to withhold that information from him. If Jimmy found out, he’d force them to stop the scam and hide until they were both safe. Kim believes that this would have eventually led to them breaking up, which implies that scamming people was what ultimately kept them together. She hid the truth from him because she was “having too much fun.”

Marvel Snap’s Nexus Event Goes Live; Pool 1 Decks Get a Massive Nerf

1 year 9 months ago

A new patch has just dropped for Marvel Snap, the new digital card game from Second Dinner. The patch introduces the new Nexus Event, which gives players the chance to spend Gold to get all sorts of rewards including the Jane Foster and Destroyer cards, variants, and avatars. We’re also getting a few balancing changes which will likely hurt newer players and those still working on collecting Pool 1 cards.

First off, the Nexus Event isn’t exactly an event in the traditional sense. That is, there are no new game modes to look forward to. Instead, it’s simply a chance for players to spend Gold (which can be obtained slowly in-game, or purchased with real money) to open lootboxes for a chance to get some big rewards. It functions similarly to a typical mobile gacha system, where you can open a box for 180 Gold, or 10 boxes for 1,800 Gold.

What you get is completely left up to RNG, though there is a pity system of sorts where you’ll get a guaranteed Rare reward with every 10 opens.

More importantly, however, this patch also nerfs several cards from the Pool 1 collection. Here are the notable changes:

What to Do If You Lost Firestick Remote

1 year 9 months ago

If you were to fill a stadium with people and asked who’s lost their remote before, everyone would raise their hand. All remotes, including Firestick remotes, seem to grow legs and hide. Asking your kids doesn’t help either because all you’ll hear is “I don’t know” or “It wasn’t me.” Thankfully, there are alternatives you can take advantage of if you lost your Firestick remote.

What to Do If You Lost Firestick Remote

The good news is that even if you’ve lost your Firestick remote, there are still some backup methods you can employ, as listed below:

  • Use your smartphone or tablet
  • Use an old Firestick
  • Use a keyboard and mouse
  • Use Alexa

We’ll go over each of these methods in more detail here.

Use Your Smartphone or Tablet as a Backup

Muv-Luv Alternative Blue Takemikazuchi Type-00F & Isumi Valkyries’ Shiranui Plastic Model Kits Coming From Kotobukiya

1 year 9 months ago

Japanese manufacturer Kotobukiya is continuing its quest to reprint all the old but gold Muv-Luv Alternative plastic model kits.

This time around, two more model kits from the popular visual novel series have been made available for pre-order. The first is a 1/144 scale Type-94 Shiranui in the original Izumi Valkyrie colors, which can pretty much be considered the hero mecha of Muv-Luv Alternative and of the upcoming second cour of the anime.

It’s priced at 5,500 yen (which roughly translates into $39) and it will be released in Japan in December 2022. It’s approximately 140 mm tall.

The second is the non-scale blue Takemikazuchi Type-00F 16th Guard Battalion Commander version, piloted by Ikaruga Takatsugu. The same model is also piloted by Takatsukasa Kyoko in the Burning of the Imperial Capital prologue of Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse.

Like all non-scale versions, it’s more pricey (7,150 yen, or approximately $52), and larger than the 1/144 versions, standing at approximately 180 mm and featuring a much higher level of detail. It also launches in December 2022.

Both models are reprints of model kits originally launched a decade ago and have been out of production for years, relaunched thanks to the recent resurgence of the Muv-Luv franchise across games and anime.

Sniper Elite: The Board Game Review

1 year 9 months ago

Once upon a time, a lone American sniper single-handedly won the Second World War. At least that’s the case if you’ve played any of the Sniper Elite series of video games. Now, Rebellion has bought its digital IP to the tabletop so that you, too, can guide a single super-powered stealth sniper to victory against three squads of German defenders (see it at Amazon). Or this time, in order to ensure it’s a competitive game, the Germans might actually win.

What’s in the Box

While there’s no ray-tracing or gory kill-cams in the transition to tabletop, you do get 10 ink-washed military miniatures to play with instead, and they’re still excellent eye candy. Nine slot into three sets of colored bases to represent German squads, each with an officer. The other is the sniper himself for the times he’s visible on the board.

They’re set up on a board that shows a submarine pen on one side and a launching facility on the other. The maps are well-drawn with clear walls, elevation and iconography to facilitate smooth play. There are also two mini-maps for the sniper to move on in secret and a poor-quality dry wipe pen to mark his path.

Illuminating Impressions Of Eyes In The Dark: The Curious Case Of One Victoria Bloom

1 year 9 months ago

In case you missed it, the platforming roguelite Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom launched last week. The game’s reveal caught my eye thanks to its striking art direction and unique gameplay. I’ve spent the last couple of days battling the darkness as the titular Victoria Bloom, a precocious young girl searching her ancestral home for her missing uncle after it’s been overtaken by shadow monsters. Armed with a powerful flashlight, you’ll battle a living darkness in an ever-changing mansion steeped in mystery and secrets.

I’m enjoying the game, but it took longer than I would’ve liked to get used to its strange control scheme. Eyes in the Dark plays like a twin-stick shooter, with players using the left stick for movement and the right stick to aim their auto-damaging flashlight beam. With your thumbs occupied, jumping is on the right trigger. The left trigger fires a slingshot sub-weapon, and hitting the left bumper executes a dodge.

It’s an unorthodox setup that feels like patting my head and rubbing my stomach, mainly because I’m conditioned to hitting a face button, namely A, to jump. It’s probably the best approach, though, given how aiming works, but expect to feel like you’re crab-clawing the controller as you awkwardly leap across stages for the first few runs. Even after settling into things, I still have moments of wanting to treat the jump button like I’m activating the flashlight, causing me to hop around all over the place like an idiot.

How To Fix the Syncing Account State Error in MultiVersus

1 year 9 months ago

Want to know how to fix the Syncing Account State Error in MultiVersus? This annoying error has popped up for a lot of players recently, preventing them from playing their favorite Warner Bros.-based fighter. Not to worry, though, as we’ve got everything you could ever need to figure out how to solve this issue. Let’s jump right in!

How To Fix the Syncing Account State Error in MultiVersus

According to the official MultiVersus Twitter account, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is aware of the current log in issues and is doing its best to solve it as quickly as possible. At the moment, the only workaround we’ve seen for the Syncing Account error in MultiVersus is the old ‘turn it off and back on again’ method.

If turning your PC or console on and off again doesn’t work, be sure to try the same thing with your internet connection. If you do all of that and still nothing, then the only thing you can do is wait, as server issues are likely the culprit.

Development on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 continues but it won't be at this year's PDXCon

1 year 9 months ago

It's been a long and eventful road for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, but despite its troubled development, which has included the removal of its original developer Hardsuit Labs, Paradox Interactive has popped up to assure fans that work continues on the project, although it won't be shown at the publisher's upcoming PDXCon.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, a sequel to developer Troika Games' much-loved 2004 cult-classic RPG, was initially announced for PC and consoles back in 2019, when it was expected to release the following year. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for the project to run into trouble and, later in 2019, Hardsuit Labs announced the first of several delays.

By the end of 2020, lead narrative designer Brian Mitsoda and creative director Ka'ai Cluney had been fired from their roles, senior narrative designer Cara Ellison had quit the project, and Paradox had revised Bloodlines 2's release date once more, pushing it into 2021. Then, things went from bad to worse; as 2021 got underway Paradox announced it had removed Hardsuit from the project, delayed the game indefinitely, and cancelled new pre-orders.

$20K Bounty Is Being Offered To Anyone Who Can Complete Wild Halo 2 Challenge

1 year 9 months ago

Just the term "LASO" sends chills down even the most hardened Halo player's spine. The term refers to completing a Halo campaign on its hardest difficulty — Legendary — with all of the gameplay-modifying Skulls turned on (LASO standing for Legendary All Skulls On). If that doesn't sound hard enough as it is, how about completing the entire LASO run with zero deaths?

That's what content creator Charlie ‘Cr1tikal’ White is challenging the Halo community to complete. In a YouTube video first spotted by PCGamesN, he offered the first player to finish a Halo 2 Anniversary LASO run with zero deaths a $20,000 prize. Besides the seemingly impossible task of a one-life LASO run, Halo 2 is also widely recognized as the most difficult Legendary campaign in the franchise. $20,000 doesn't seem like enough.

Cr1tikal first announced the challenge a couple weeks ago, with a $5,000 prize attached. As the days went by with no takers, he quadrupled the prize to try and entice some fearless gamers to take the challenge. The streamer said he's tried the challenge himself, and was unable to get past the first two rooms of the first mission before giving up.

According to Cr1tikal, a run like this has only been completed once, but it had the Envy skull turned on, allowing Master Chief to turn invisible. So, to up the challenge even further, Cr1tikal is requiring players to turn that one specific skull off.

"It’s a new dawn for Romero Games. We’re working with a major publisher to develop John Romero’s next shooter: an all-new FPS with an original, new IP,” says Romero on Twitter. “Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for talented people for all positions and at all experience levels, particularly those with Unreal Engine 5 experience.”

According to the studio’s website, job positions fall under the code, design, and art categories. The listings provide some hints at what kind of mechanics the game could include. A senior multiplayer programmer position and an online architect one are listed, so it’s possible that the game will have multiplayer and online components.

Take-Two says it "acknowledges" US Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade is "significant event"

Three weeks after the US Supreme Court overturned key legislation granting individuals the constitutional right to choose an abortion, Take-Two Interactive - which publishes the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Borderlands, BioShock, Mafia, and XCOM through its various subsidiaries - has issued a statement saying it "acknowledges" the decision "is a significant event".

Following the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v Wade at the end of June, publishers and developers around the world - including Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, Bungie, Naughty Dog, Double Fine, and Bethesda - released statements in support of reproductive rights. Take-Two was one of the few major publishers, alongside Activision Blizzard, not to respond publicly to the news.

Three weeks on, though, Take-Two has now released its own statement across a limited number of social media channels, including its own LinkedIn page and subsidiary Zynga's Twitter feed.

Top 10 Adventure Games To Play Right Now

1 year 9 months ago

Far from describing a game with adventure in it (that would include a lot of games!), the adventure genre is loosely defined as one that emphasizes narrative and exploration over action, which may also rely on light puzzle mechanics. In other words, a game that doesn’t have enough simulation to be a sim, action to be an action title, puzzle-solving to be a puzzle game, and… you get the idea. Despite the nebulous classification, games in this genre are unambiguously incredible experiences, often exploring refreshing and fascinating concepts. Shooting for games that are rolling around in the zeitgeist right now, some of the genres’ towering giants are not listed here.
