How to Teleport in Minecraft

1 year 11 months ago

Teleporting in Minecraft can save you a ton of time when trying to explore your big, blocky world. You’ll probably know if you played much Minecraft, a lot of the game is based on exploring the massive world. The further afield you explore, the more valuable and rare resources you have a chance of finding.

That’s where knowing how to teleport can help, as you can either shoot down into the Nether to grab some of that Netherite before quickly returning to your base to make use of it.

How to Teleport in Minecraft

Step 1: Enable Cheats

To teleport in Minecraft, you’ll first need to enable cheats. If you’re creating a new world, you should find the ‘Allow Cheats’ option in the ‘Create New World’ screen, just below the ‘Game Mode’ setting. To enable cheats on an existing world, open the pause menu, select ‘Open to Lan’ and then ensure ‘Allow Cheats: On’ is showing. If it shows as off, click it and you’ll enable cheats.

On consoles and the ‘Bedrock’ version of the game, go to the ‘Game Settings’ screen, scroll down until you find ‘Cheats’ and make sure that the switch is green next to ‘Activate Cheats.’

Step 2: Enter Your Coordinates

Next, you need to open the chat menu by pressing T on PC, or pressing right on the d-pad on your console’s controller.

Type /tp or /teleport and then enter the XYZ coordinates that you want to travel to. For example, if you want to travel to coordinates 95, 40, 65, you’d type in:

Legendary Visual Novel Mahoutsukai no Yoru for PS4 & Switch Gets Release Date & First Trailer

1 year 11 months ago

Today Type-moon released the first trailer and revealed the release date of the upcoming remaster of the Legendary Visual Novel Mahoutsukai no Yoru.

The trailer introduces the cast, including the voice-overs, which are going to be a new addition to the remaster.

The release date is December 8, 2022, and we already know that the game will include English text support, which is decidedly exciting for western fans of Type-moon, who are pretty much used to being left behind.

You can enjoy the trailer below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mahoutsukai no Yoru, which translates as “The night of the witches” (elaborated in the official subtitle “Witch on the Holy Night”) is a visual novel released in 2012 by Type-Moon, known for creating the ultra-popular Fate series.

It was written by Kinoko Nasu, originally as an unreleased novel reportedly inspired by the first episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This new release will include a full voice track (obviously in Japanese) and full HD visuals. The main voice cast is as follows:

Which Better Call Saul Character Are You? Take the Quiz to Find Out

1 year 11 months ago

Better Call Saul is a prequel spin-off series of Breaking Bad, but it’s quickly risen in popularity as one of the very best TV shows we’ve seen in years. The show features a fantastic, diverse cast of characters that feel incredibly complex and deep.

They all have their own goals and motivations, and their own methods of achieving what they want. It’s the characters who really make the show shine, especially when they clash, resulting in interesting narrative outcomes and various twists and turns. And with that in mind, if you’ve ever wondered which character from Better Call Saul you were most alike, that’s where we come in.

We’ve prepared a short personality quiz to help you figure that out. Find out if you’re the next Slippin’ Jimmy, or if you’re really just a big softie at heart. Or maybe you’re a total sociopath like Gus, or a ruthless lawyer like Kim. Just be prepared to answer some tough questions like, what does the law mean to you?

What Is the Glor-ag in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi?

1 year 11 months ago

If you’ve watched the first episode of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, chances are you’re wondering exactly what a Glor-ag is, given Breha Organa makes a comment about her daughter being similar to one during the episode. The good news is that you’ve not missed something, this is just a very quick remark that’s actually an Easter Egg, and we’ll explain everything you need to know about a Glor-ag right here.

Breha Organa compares raising her daughter Leia, to “raising a Glor-ag,” but the comment is a bit of a throw-away one and isn’t elaborated upon any further. If you don’t already know about Glor-ags, the main thing is you’re not missing out on some significant detail here. It’s just a fun little Easter Egg for fans of the Star Wars Adventure Journal #10.

What Is a Glor-Ag in Obi-Wan Kenobi?

A Glor-ag is a creature that was referenced in ‘Wanted by Cracken,’ Star Wars Adventure Journal #10. The Adventure Journal series contained 15 issues, each one telling a short story that all take place in the galaxy far, far away.

Borun Call, an infamous Quarren slaver who’s been around since the days of the Old Republic, was a skilled rider of the Glor-ag’s.

This is literally the only real information that we know about a Glor-ag. So, in other words, there’s not a whole lot to look into here if you felt you were missing out. However, given Breha’s comment about her daughter certainly wasn’t supposed to be a compliment, we can only surmise that Glor-ag’s aren’t the friendliest of creatures.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Golden Deer Character Trailer Appears

People can now see how the Golden Deer characters look in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Yet another new trailer is here. As is typical with this series, it looks at Claude and the members of his house. People get to see character portraits and how each person will function in-battle.

As expected, the new trailer begins with Claude. He’s the head of Golden Deer, after all. He’s an archer on a dragon in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. His second-in-command Hilda shows up wielding her axe after that. Raphael follows her. He’s a brawler who uses his fists. Lysithea remains a mage for this spin-off. Lorenz will be a cavalry unit, showing up on horseback with a spear. Ignatz will be an archer, like Claude, but will be an infantry unit. His segment is followed by Marianne’s. Like Lysithea, she’ll use magic to attack. Leonie is the last character to appear. Like Lorenz, she’ll ride on horseback and wield a spear.

Genshin Impact Teyvat Times Shares The Chasm and Inazuma Festival Facts 1

HoYoVerse released a new installment of the Genshin Impact Teyvat Times. Each of these “newsletters” goes over various accomplishments in things like new regions or new activities. The May 2022’s two pages does both. The first page covers the Genshin Impact Inazuma festival surprising facts, while the second details things folks did in The Chasm in Liyue.

The first part of the newsletter went over some of the event quests and activities from the Hues of the Violet Garden Genshin Impact Inazuma festival event. For example, in one quest players try to help Sayu get a Raiden Shogun figure for Sara. 4,753,786 players took part in it and “got” Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder statues for their Serenitea Pot. The Moon and Stars Instribe photopgraphy event led to people taking lots of pictures of kitsune foxes in Inazuma, as well as Violet Ibis birds and Electro Crystalflies. Also, Taroumaru the dog ended up facing about 1,476,120 fights per day during the Clash of the Lone Blades dueling event.

As for the latest Genshin Impact The Chasm facts, they had to do with the new Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget and Ruin Serpent Normal Boss. In the case of the Lumenstone Adjuvant, people can get rewards and make it more powerful by collecting Lumenspar items scattered throughout The Chasm. It only took 24,685 people 24 hours to do that. As for the Ruin Serpent, it was killed over 4.6 million times in a month.

1 year 11 months ago

On this week's episode of IGN's weekly PlayStation show, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Mark Medina and Jada Griffin to check in on Mark's perilous journey atop Splash Mountain, and also discuss the biggest PlayStation news of the week.

The crew digs into PlayStation confirming it is adapting God of War, Horizon, and Gran Turismo into TV shows or movies (note: we recorded before reports suggested GT will be a movie, not a show!), our hopes and expectations for what Netflix's Horizon show may be, how God of War on Amazon could shake out, and if the classic Need for Speed film is a good blueprint for Gran Turismo.

We also discuss some of PlayStation's future ambitions for not just PlayStation's biggest games becoming movies and TV shows, but also their plans to expand their PC experiences, as well as their mobile games output. We look into their plans for the next few years, what they likely mean for PlayStation's focuses, and while we think the great PlayStation games we love aren't going anywhere.

We also dig into the leaks of a Death Stranding 2, some PS Plus updates, Jada's impressions of Multiversus, and more!

Mario Strikers: Battle League Gets a Free Demo

1 year 11 months ago

Much like Nintendo's other online-heavy games on Nintendo Switch, like Splatoon 2, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Arms, the upcoming Mario Strikers: Battle League is getting a free demo with limited time slots for players to try out the action online.

From June 3 to June 5, you'll be able to try out Quick Battle online multiplayer with friends or strangers across the globe. The times are as follows:

Friday, June 3

  • 8:00-9:00pm PT/04:00 - 05:00 BST

Saturday, June 4

  • 4:00-5:00am PT/12:00 - 13:00 BST
  • 12:00-1:00pm PT/20:00 - 21:00 BST
  • 8:00-9:00pm PT/4:00 - 5:00 BST

Sunday, June 5

  • 4:00-5:00am PT/12:00 - 13:00 BST
  • 12:00-1:00pm PT/20:00 - 21:00 BST

The demo is already available to download now for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. While you can't play any online matches outside of the specified windows, you can play the offline training exercises starting today to learn the controls and techniques in the game.

Nintendo also revealed that Mario Strikers: Battle League will receive free post-launch updates that include new characters. This is similar to the approach seen in Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Golf Super Rush, where the roster was expanded for months after launch.

On release day, the Battle League roster will have ten playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, and Toad. This has led some longtime Strikers fans to note the absence of Daisy, who was a part of both previous Strikers games. Now there's hope that she could be added via post-launch support.

Evil Dead: The Game Review – Not Very Groovy

1 year 11 months ago

evil dead: the game review

Reviewed on: Xbox Series X/S
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Publisher: Saber Interactive, Boss Team Games
Developer: Saber Interactive
Release:
Rating: Mature

Evil Dead: The Game is a faithful adaptation, full of subtle and not-so-subtle homages to the classic horror series. You can visit iconic sites like The Knowby Cabin, wield boomsticks and chainsaw prosthetics, fight off a possessed severed hand, play as your favorite cast members, or command armies of Deadites as the series’ antagonist, the Kandarian Demon. They even recreated the first-person, off-axis camera effect synonymous with Sam Raimi’s directorial style from the movies. But while these elements fill the title with fanservice, none of them make for a very good video game, certainly not one that stands out in a growing subgenre.

Asymmetrical multiplayer games are inherently uneven, with each side traditionally offering vastly different perspectives – and playstyles – from their counterpart. And this is what makes my time playing Evil Dead so frustrating: It’s incredibly one-sided for a game all about two sides. And it’s majorly unbalanced.

AMD Adrenalin driver 22.5.2 tested: big promises, but no GPU miracle worker

1 year 11 months ago

I’ve been keeping a curious eye on AMD’s Software Preview Driver for May 2022; GPU drivers often promise “optimisations” that are rarely felt in practice, but this one genuinely sounded like a performance enhancing drug for Radeon graphics cards. In a community post, AMD asserted this particular Preview Driver could provide double-digit percentage gains in games running DirectX 11; claims that were backed up by early independent testing, like the creator of benchmarking tool CapFrameX getting an extra 24% out of Crysis Remastered.

This week, AMD Software Adrenaline Edition 22.5.2 released, making that new Radeon driver available to anyone who didn’t fancy switching to preview builds. Armed with an RX 6500 XT (a low-end card that desperately needs a performance kick), I gave the new software a whirl – and found that, for all those big numbers, Radeon owners should probably lower their expectations.

Sony's new PlayStation Plus classic games emulators simply aren't good enough

1 year 11 months ago

This week, Sony has started rolling out the new PlayStation Plus service with its various tiers including classic games such as PlayStation 1, 2 and PSP titles. Thus far, however, the service is only available in Asian territories. Thankfully, with help from backers of the DF Supporter Program, we have access and have spent time with Sony's official emulation for the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PSP. Consider this a preview of sorts as it may not reflect the experience of UK/EU/US gamers, but it is our first insight into the nuts and bolts of the emulation - and there are clearly major issues the platform holder has to address.

To recap, the new PlayStation Plus consists of three tiers. Essential is pretty much the Plus experience as it stands now, while Extra gives you access to a large library of PS4 and PS5 titles to download and play. It's the top-end Premium tier that offers up the classic games, however, alongside cloud streaming (in supported territories) along with time-limited trials.

So, how does the top tier offering work with regards to classic games? Well, once you sign up, a new menu option becomes available with various categories including the classic games. Click on this and you'll see that - for Asian subscribers at least - just a small handful of titles are currenly available including Tekken 2, Mr Driller, Ape Escape and more. There's also a handful of Jak titles available for PS2 and a single PSP game, the handheld port of Echochrome.

Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick Demo Takes the Field

Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick Demo Takes the Field

People are getting a chance to try Mario Strikers: Battle League before they buy it with a First Kick demo. However, there is a bit of a catch to it. This primarily provides a means to take part in online matches between June 3-5, 2022. That also means someone will need a Nintendo Switch Online active membership or trial to play online.

Here’s how it works. People can get the First Kick demo now. However, all that is in there is the training mode. This also requires someone to be online to use it. Then, once June begins, there will be six demo sessions available. People who turn up during those times can play against other people online. 10 characters will be available.

This is the schedule for June 3-5, 2022. Each one only lasts for one hour.

  • Session 1: 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET on June 3, 2022. 5 a.m. CET on June 4, 2022.
  • Session 2: 4 a.m. PT/7 a.m. ET/1 p.m. CET on June 4, 2022.
  • Session 3: 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CET on June 4, 2022.
  • Session 4: 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET on June 4, 2022. 5 a.m. CET on June 5, 2022.
  • Session 5: 4 a.m. PT/7 a.m. ET/1 p.m. CET on June 5, 2022.
  • Session 6: 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CET on June 5, 2022.
  • To help get an idea of what to expect ahead of the Mario Strikers: Battle League launch and demo, Nintendo shared a number of trailers. One focuses on moves and abilities like Hyper Strikes.

Honkai Star Rail Character Trailer Stars Serval

1 year 11 months ago

There's a new Honkai Star Rail character trailer, and this time it stars the rock star Serval Landau. She's wields what looks like a guitar in-battle, with electricity coursing through her attacks. Her voice actress also sings during the video.

The latest video from HoYoVerse begins with Serval leaving an underground station. As she walks along the city street, the people and items in the environment seem to glitch in and out of existence. She then ends up encountering some opponents. It is then that in-game footage of turn-based battles appear. It shows as the member of The Erudition path goes after foes and uses her Ultimate. The video doesn't show how her skills might interact with and complement other characters.

Here's the full "The Cusp of Ignition" Honkai Star Rail Serval character trailer.

WB Changes Batgirl's Gotham Knights Biography Following Criticism

1 year 11 months ago

WB Montreal has responded to criticism that Batgirl's official biography for Gotham Knights is a harmful trope of disabled people, and has made adjustments to her description accordingly.

In a Discord Q&A, as reported by Eurogamer, Gotham Knights developers acknowledged the controversy around Barbara Gordon, whose biography was published to the game's website recently. The initial criticism of her backstory centered on her ending up in a wheelchair after an unspecified "face-off" but returning to "active duty" as Batgirl following training.

While it's unclear what her injury in Gotham Knights entails, in the comics, Barbara is shot in the spine, and many fans pointed out that overcoming a disability through sheer training and determination is an inaccurate and harmful trope throughout media.

During the Q&A, however, creative director Patrick Redding said that the Gotham Knights team "worked with the awesome folks at AbleGamers to learn about different types of spinal injuries and the potential for someone to regain mobility."

The videos showcase the dynamic system of seasons and weather in the game’s Riverlands biome, which will be one of the focal points of the upcoming alpha two.

It’s worth mentioning that the transitions are much accelerated for the sake of demonstration, and seasons in the final game will last much longer.

On top of that, they won’t just have cosmetic purposes, but they will actually affect the economy and gameplay in radical ways.

You can check the videos out below.

Can You Reassign & Remove Twitch Founders Badges?

At the moment, the only people that can reassign and remove Twitch Founder badges are the users themselves. Unfortunately, that means that the actual person that is in control of the Twitch channel doesn’t have the ability to remove or reassign these.

It is also impossible for whoever runs the channel to free up Founder placements for new subs, even if someone does decide to remove their badge of their own accord. This news has frustrated many users and streamers alike, as a thread on the official user feedback forum for Twitch discussing the lack of this feature has been ramping up the last few months.

If any changes do come regarding the feature at any point in the near future, we will be sure to let you know here.
