Amazon Games have announced a sort of workaround for that, though. At first glance, the upcoming action-adventure game Tunic looks remarkably similar to The Legend Of Zelda. Its protagonist is a cute little dude (well, a fox, in this case) with a sword and shield and similar taste in green adventure-wear, and they get to run around all sorts of lush forests, bright temples and more. But upon playing the game, people have already discovered that it's a fair bit tougher than it looks. More Dark Souls, than Zelda, perhaps.

Just because Tunic isn't dark and gloomy doesn't mean it can't offer its fair share of challenges, so I spoke to Tunic creator Andrew Shouldice to find out how he's managing expectations, as well as tackling difficulty and accessibility. We also talked about the joy of exploring and uncovering secrets, but we'll check behind that waterfall in a bit.

Microsoft are making a new Microsoft Store, and you'll be able to download even more stores from it. They've announced that they're adding a number of third-party storefront apps, including Amazon and Epic Games. These will arrive sometime in the next few months, after the new Microsoft Store launches alongside Windows 11 next week. Finally, you'll be able to launch a store you don't want from a store you really don't want.

Type-moon released a brand new trailer and screenshots of its upcoming fighting game Melty Blood: Type Lumina, which will soon launch both in Japan and in the west.

The focus is on the reveal of a new playable character who will appear in the game. This time around it’s a “guest” character (and a rather obvious one), Saber from the Fate series.

You can check the new trailer out below alongside an official description of the character from the developer and a few screenshots.

As a bonus at the bottom of the post you can also check out a trailer for the original soundtrack of the visual novel Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, which is the source of the characters of Melty Blood: Type Lumina.

It’ll release in Japan on November 24.

Atlus is continuing to release its infinite series of trailers focusing on the over 200+ demons of its upcoming JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V.

This time around we get to see the gameplay of Suzaku, which has been part of the series since its debut in Shin Megami Tensei II in 1994.

The revived GamesMaster will be hosted by videoGaiden veteran Robert "Rab" Florence, aided by esports presenter Frankie Ward and comedian Ty Logan.

With Shin Megami Tensei V about a month and a half from its anticipated launch on Switch in November, Atlus has been rolling out a steady stream of new information. We recently reported about the difficulty settings, special demons, and secrets you can find in the vast world of Da'at, an alternate version of Tokyo that has been overrun by demons. Today, Atlus revealed the voices players will hear should they choose to play with English voice acting.

Information about Horizon Forbidden West is relatively scarce – and for good reason. The game is still a ways off, but we’ve been fortunate enough to see extensive gameplay footage and learn about Aloy’s visual/narrative evolution throughout the two games. However, according to a recent job posting, developer Guerrilla Games might be looking to branch out into more multiplayer-focused experiences. Whether this has anything to do with the Horizon franchise or a new IP scheduled for release in the very distant future remains to be seen. In any case, the team is looking to hire MMO experts.

During TGS 2021, miHoYo will hold the Genshin Impact 2.2 Special Program livestream, and the Sunday presentation will also feature Thoma.

This is the Deathloop I'm in at the moment, but I'm slowly beginning to think it's worth breaking the cycle and taking the stealthy approach as often as I can. I'm confused, you see. In many of the game's pre-release teasers, we saw Colt bursting into action. Stealth? No no, this is more of an FPS. The music flares, enemies die, it is carnage.

But when I actually give action a go in the game, I'm mostly left dead in seconds. Either that, or I meekly duck behind some cover and regret not trying the stealthy approach. And the problem is that sometimes I have no option but to go all guns blazing, and I think, "Colt isn't built for this. He's only a squishy lad." I just think he's a stealth character being forced to break cover when he's clearly uncomfortable doing so.
