Fortnite: The Shark, Rapid's Rest, And Gorgeous Gorge Locations Guide

Fortnite's Week 7 challenges have arrived on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. This week brings us the first batch of Skye's Adventure challenges, and one of the seemingly trickier missions asks you to visit three specific locations: The Shark, Rapid's Rest, and Gorgeous Gorge. If you need help tracking those places down, we've put together this map and guide to show you where to go.

Where Are The Shark, Rapid's Rest, And Gorgeous Gorge Locations?

As usual, the areas you need to visit to complete this challenge are spread out across the map, but they're not too difficult to find. The Shark is the most obvious; it's the island in the northwest corner of the map, in grid square B1. Gorgeous Gorge is located between The Agency and Lazy Lake in grid square E5, and Rapid's Rest is directly southeast of it in grid square G6. You can see where all three areas are on the map below.

Let's Just Take A Minute To Admire This Pixel Art From Chucklefish's New Game

Indie outfit Chucklefish has unveiled a new isometric artstyle for its supernatural life-sim Witchbrook, and it's quite a looker. The game previously featured a more-standard top-down style in early screenshots. Here's a side-by-side comparison:

Chucklefish is arguably best-known for publishing the farming sim mega-hit Stardew Valley, but its also developed some notable games, such as 2016's Starbound. The developer first announced Witchbrook back in 2018, and few details have emerged in the intervening years. Recently, it revealed an official website with some more information on the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.2 Update Patch Notes

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is in the midst of its Bunny Day festivities, but alongside that came a new patch that fixed up some bugs. Though Nintendo hasn't shared official English patch notes yet, we have some idea from the Japanese notes (via Go Nintendo).

According to the patch notes, this update fixes a few notable glitches that could severely impact gameplay, including one that makes a crucial piece of game progression disappear, and another that impacted your ability to change the island to your liking.

Bunny Day is essentially the Animal Crossing version of Easter, with a rabbit visitor named Zipper coming and hiding eggs all over your island. Those eggs can then be used for a ton of special DIY recipes.

2019's Best RPG Is On Sale For Its Lowest Price Yet

If you're looking for a game to get lost in this weekend, one of the best role-playing games in recent memory is on sale right now. ZA/UM's 2019 wonder Disco Elysium is discounted to $30 (was $40) until April 6 on Steam. The innovative and gripping RPG was one of GameSpot's favorite games of 2019. In addition to the game, the official soundtrack is also marked down to $11.24 (was $15).

Disco Elysium nods to Baldur's Gate and Divinity: Original Sin with its top-down perspective and dialogue-heavy interactions. Unlike those games, however, Disco Elysium doesn't feature any combat. It's an RPG that relies on its masterfully written dialogue to both tell its story and advance its various mechanical and skill systems. You play as a detective who investigates crimes across a lush, hand-painted world filled with interesting characters and ideas.

The game earned a 10/10 in GameSpot's Disco Elysium Elysium review, with critic David Wildgoose praising the unparalleled writing, brilliant skill system, and gorgeous world. "Disco Elysium is a mad, sprawling detective story where the real case you've got to crack isn't who killed the man strung up on a tree in the middle of town--though that in itself, replete with dozens of unexpected yet intertwined mysteries and wild excursions into the ridiculous, is engrossing enough to sustain the game," he wrote.

The Last Of Us Part II Delayed Due To The Coronavirus

Sony Interactive Entertainment has delayed the release of The Last of Us Part II by Naughty Dog, as well as Iron Man VR on PSVR until further notice due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

In a tweet to the community, Naughty Dog says it had finished the game and was fixing some final bugs in anticipation of a May 29 release.

The developer wants to "make sure everyone gets to play The Last of Us Part II around the same time," but logistical problems imposed by the current pandemic have prevented Naughty Dog and SIE from achieving that.

This could allude to the inability to coordinate the different physical versions of the game (it has four – standard, special, collector's, and elite), as well as the digital one, at the same time. However, neither the developer nor the publisher have specified as much.

Naughty Dog says it hopes the delay won't be long, and will update players when it has new information.

The Last of Us Part II Delayed Indefinitely Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Sony has delayed its highly anticipated The Last of Us Part II, as well as PSVR exclusive Iron Man VR, until further notice. The setbacks come as a result of logistical challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has shown no signs of slowing in the past week.

The news comes by way of Tweet from Sony’s official page earlier today:

The Last of Us Part II had been slated for launch later this spring, May 29, while Iron Man VR was expected only a week or so earlier on May 15.

Naughty Dog has since published its own statement on Twitter, too:

The Last of Us Part 2 Delayed Indefinitely

The Last of Us Part 2 is no longer set to be released on PS4 on May 29, Sony and developer Naughty Dog announced today. A tweet today from Sony confirmed "Update: SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve." The company followed the statement with "Currently, there are no other delays to report, but we'll keep you updated." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-last-of-us-part-2-new-screenshots&captions=true"] Naughty Dog also released a statement on Twitter about the delay, which you can read in full below:
As you've likely just seen, the release of The last of Us Part II has been delayed. We're sure this news is just as disappointing to you as it is to us. We wanted to reach out to all of you in our community to give you a little more information. The good news is, we're nearly done with development of The Last of Us Part II. We are in the midst of fixing our final bugs. However, even with us finishing the game, we were faced with the reality that due to logistics beyond our control, we couldn't launch The Last of Us Part II to our satisfaction. We want to make sure everyone gets to play The last of Us Part II around the same time, ensuring that we're doing everything possible to preserve the best experience for everyone. This meant delaying the game until such a time where we can solve these logistic issues. We were bummed about this decision but ultimately understood what's best and fair to all of our players.

Windbound is a survival adventure game about building boats

I am absolutely down for an arrow-slinging, ship-building, island-hopping survival adventure game that doesn't look unnecessarily hostile or stingy. Anyone else? That's the premise for Windbound, an upcoming PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch title about a stranded warrior.

5 Lives Studios and its publisher, Deep Silver, revealed the game today. It looks neat!

Hunting down resources, crafting tools and weapons, and sailing to the next Forbidden Island once you've run out of materials seems to be the central loop. I can picture myself falling into that pretty hard. Your boat is your "key companion," and the building system is modular, which I always appreciate.

As for the big-picture story, "scattered ruins reveal secrets of the past and glimpses of the future."

Windbound is releasing for PC and consoles on August 28, 2020.

The Last of Us Part II delayed yet again

The inevitable has finally happened. Amid everyone working from home and workflows drastically changing, PlayStation and Naughty Dog have been forced to delay The Last of Us Part II yet again.

PlayStation announced the setback in a simple tweet this afternoon. It reads "[Sony Interactive Entertainment] has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve."

The Last of Us Part II was meant to finally launch on May 29. It has been oft-delayed -- first informally as Naughty Dog missed its 2019 target and pushed the game into 2020, and then formally as it was delayed from February until May. As PlayStation mentions, there's no new release date to look forward to. Given how uncertain everything is right now, it's pretty tough to predict timelines for completing projects.

However, there's something of a silver lining. PlayStation also says it doesn't have any further delays apart from The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR.

Nintendo Download: Good Job!

It's a regular 'ol day for the Nintendo eShop following the mammoth Animal Crossing release, as Good Job! is the big one this week on Switch.

Outside of that, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 got its Doctor Doom DLC and...that's about it! 23 games in total: that's one of the lowest on record in many months, in a weekly flood of 30-40 games per week. I can kind of get used to this?

There's so many things on the eShop now and the charts are flooded with (often shovelware) "penny games." Maybe use this downtime to redo the Switch eShop, Nintendo? I know I ask for it every few months or so, but it's getting really oversaturated.

Meet the Voice Actors of Resident Evil 3’s Voice Cast

The next remade chapter in Capcom’s iconic survival horror franchise is here, and it introduces one of the series’ most recognizable antagonists. Resident Evil 3’s Nemesis is seriously spooky, which is something conveyed with terrifying authenticity by superb voice acting talent across the entire cast. Here we’re going to run through the voice actors of Resident Evil 3’s voice cast who do such a great job.

Meet the Voice Actors of Resident Evil 3’s Voice Cast

Nicole Tompkins – Jill Valentine

Nicole Tompkins plays the role of Jill Valentine for the first time in the Resident Evil series, and we’re hoping this won’t be the last — she does a terrific job breathing new life into the character.

Tompkins only other credit in the gaming industry is as Idril in Shadow of Mordor, with most of her experience centered around TV series and theatre. You may remember her from Grey’s Anatomy for her performance as Amber.

Jeff Schine – Carlos Oliviera – Voice Actors of Resident Evil 3’s Voice Cast

Fans of Resident Evil should be pleased with Carlos’s new makeover in the latest remake. And he’s more than just better looking, too — Carlos is more interesting this time around, and that’s largely thanks to a great performance from Jeff Schine.

Schine has been involved with AAA video game productions several times before, including Kingdom Hearts, Red Dead Redemption 2, Just Cause 4, and more. These, however, have only been minor roles. He takes center stage as Carlos, and we’re looking forward to hearing more from him moving forward.
