How To Pronounce The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Protagonist’s Name

3 years 10 months ago

After dropping the first official trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail, the creative director of the new Assassin's Creed title, has released a tweet in response to fan confusion on the pronunciation of the main character’s name.

The next Assassin's Creed will allow players to play as either a male or female Viking. However, unlike in Odyssey, both genders will share the name Eivor. Eivor is a fierce Viking raider raised on tales of battle and glory. Players will lead a group of Norsemen that have been driven from their home in Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources in the ninth century CE. After crossing the North Sea and traveling to England, players will need to carve out a new future for their clan on the foreign land and fight against the forces of England.

The Last Of Us 2's File Size Revealed, And It's Huge

3 years 10 months ago

A listing for The Last of Us: Part II on the PlayStation website reveals some key details about the much-anticipated PS4-exclusive pertaining to its file size and installation details.

Players who buy the game digitally may need to clear up some space on their hard drives, as The Last of Us: Part II will require at least 100 GB of free space. This makes it the biggest-ever PlayStation exclusive, surpassing the file sizes of God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Spider-Man, according to GamesRadar.

The PlayStation listing also specifies that those picking up a physical copy of The Last of Us: Part II will receive a box that includes two discs. It's thought that, like with Final Fantasy VII Remake and Red Dead Redemption 2 before it, the first disc is for installing the game and the second is for playing.

Cyberpunk 2077 Won't Be Censored For Australia, Receives R18+ Rating

3 years 10 months ago

In April, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 crossed a major milestone when most of the world's major ratings groups assigned ratings to the much-anticipated title. This includes Australia's Classification Board, which is known for its strict ratings (remember South Park: The Stick of Truth and its crying koala censors?)

CD Projekt Red's Kuba Kutrzuba tells GameSpot that Cyberpunk 2077 has received an R 18+ rating in Australia, which is classified as "high impact." The game will feature sex, violence, and references to sexual violence. The big news here, however, is that Cyberpunk 2077 has not been refused classification, which was the case for Saints Row IV and State of Decay, among others. Those games needed to re-submit with edits to get approved for release.

LeBron James Reveals Logo For Space Jam Sequel

3 years 10 months ago

LeBron James is sending you an early invitation to come on and slam if you want to jam, as he revealed the logo for the new Space Jam sequel on social media called Space Jam: A New Legacy.

James also revealed that the movie will be released in theaters (and/or VOD, as the current pandemic warrants) one year from today. He forgot to mirror the image in the video below, but his message still stands.

The movie’s title makes perfect sense, since Michael Jordan, one of the greatest NBA players of all time, is passing the ball and Toon Squad jersey to James for him to play alongside the Looney Tunes and take on the Monstars once again, or whichever ominous team they’ll be playing against.

The poster for the Space Jam sequel was also revealed, where Bug Bunny once again shares the top billing. Unlike the poster for the original Space Jam, where then-Chicago Bulls player Jordan’s name appeared second, James’ name comes before Bugs’s.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Two Eivor Actors Have Been Revealed

3 years 10 months ago

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's main character, Eivor, can be a man or a woman, which requires Ubisoft to hire two different performers to record their voice lines and more. Following the game's announcement, the actors who play the title role have now been confirmed.

The male version of Eivor is performed by Danish actor Magnus Bruun, who played Cnut on the medieval Netflix show The Last Kingdom. Bruun describes himself as a viking in his Instagram bio, and a quick look at this page shows that he seems to be a great fit for the role of Eivor.
