It’s a trailerception at Atlus West, as they released a new trailer of the upcoming Persona 5 Strikers, but it’s a special one.
Basically, the video doesn’t focus as much as showing the game, but it features the English voice cast as they react to the announcement trailer.
I’m not sure why they’re so surprised, considering that the trailer leaked several days earlier, but it’s still nice to see for those who enjoy the English voice-overs.
You can check it out below.
The western version of the game developed by Koei Tecmo as a sequel of the original Persona 5 will finally be released for PS4, Switch, and PC on February 23, 2021.
If you’re unfamiliar with Persona 5 Strikers, you can read an official description below.
This week on Snapshots, the final one of 2020(!), we have a ton of cool Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots. While the game might be buggy and broken for many players, especially on console, it’s still a pretty looking game and makes for some great virtual photography.
Cyberpunk 2077’s launch has been nothing short of disastrous. Between the initial slapdash review process, the discovery of considerable performance issues on older hardware, the report that it triggered a seizure in at least one reviewer, then the news that PS4/XB1 players can get refunds but actually they couldn’t, all the way up to Sony’s announcement that it was removing Cyberpunk from its digital storefront entirely… to say “it’s been a week” for CD Projekt Red feels like an understatement - even for 2020. And it’s a real shame, particularly because underneath all the bad management decisions, poor communication, and overhyped marketing, there’s a really good game.
Back in 2019, SimulaM’s upcoming game “I Am Jesus Christ” created quite a stir on the press, but over the following year the game has made progress.
Now, it got another trailer just in time to celebrate Christmas, showing more of what we can expect from the game.
The developers have not rested on laurels, having posted regular devlogs on their YouTube channel, and they’re now preparing to hit Kickstarter, with more information coming down the line.
Whether crowdfunding will manage to bless development with the gift of money or not, history will tell. In the meanwhile, you can go back to that cold night over 2,000 years ago with this new trailer.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, which will come to PC via Steam, you can read an official description below.
The No More Heroes games have been primarily associated with Nintendo systems thus far, and the upcoming No More Heroes 3 will be a Switch exclusive. However, it looks like the first two games could be coming to PC if an ESRB rating listing is any indication.
Spotted by Gematsu, there are full ratings and descriptions available on the ESRB website for both No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Only the Windows PC platform is listed at the top of each page, and the games were only available on Wii and Nintendo Switch, though an enhanced version of the first game did also come to PS3 and Xbox 360. Keep in mind that these rating descriptions do contain some spoilers about the games in order to convey their level of violence. If you haven't played them yet, you probably don't want to read them.
The spinoff game Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes did release on PC eventually, coming alongside a PS4 version in late 2019 after the game initially launched as a Switch exclusive. It's possible something like this could also be planned for No More Heroes 3, though only a Switch version has been revealed so far. Ports of the first two games are available on Switch now.

In a year where we could all use an extra dose of kindness and lighthearted fun, Yakuza: Like a Dragon delivers in droves. Not only does it debut a new series protagonist with Ichiban Kasuga, but it also transforms the series’ action-centric combat into a turn-based RPG with depth beyond throwing your fists around. Battles turn into tense encounters focused on exploiting elemental weaknesses, utilizing buffs/debuffs, and kicking enemies when they’re down for extra damage. And, let’s not forget summoning in some help from unlikely places like “Poundmates” when things get really dire.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio goes all-in with its RPG inspiration, making the main character a diehard Dragon Quest fan and having you help strangers and bond with party members Persona-style. Among the massive list of side activities, there’s even a “gotta catch ‘em all” system where you collect “Sujimon” for a professor. If that’s not enough, you can swap jobs, becoming everything from a break dancer to a chef for entertaining ways to take on the enemy.

No More Heroes 1 and 2 look set for PC after both games popped up for the platform on the Entertainment Software Rating Board's website (thanks, Gematsu).
Suda51's action game No More Heroes came out on the Wii back in 2007, and was followed by a 2010 sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Both games were re-released for Nintendo Switch in October 2020.
No More Heroes 3 is in the works and is due out at some point in 2021.

A modder has done what CD Projekt didn't: added in-game haircuts to Cyberpunk 2077.
I was surprised to discover Cyberpunk 2077 does not let you change the haircut of your character beyond character creation. Night City is packed to bursting with food stalls, but there isn't a usable salon in sight.
Enter woodbricks, a modder who has created a working in-game haircuts mod for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC (grab it from NexusMods).
When I first sat down to put together this list, I wrote down two titles and then sat and thought for a while about what else I played. I think this year has thrown my whole mind into a strange funk, because I couldn’t even name 10 games I had played, let alone loved.

It’s been a couple decades, now, I think we can all just admit it: for a certain version of Batman, Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin kind of rules. A cheesy fever dream, it’s an incredible exercise in ‘90s Blockbuster excess and the sort of Batman that fans of Adam West’s ‘60s series would recognize and enjoy. The…
Sreak, a user over on the Dreamcast-Talk forums, posted the files from an old, broken Dreamcast dev kit hard drive. Users quickly found inside an unreleased, incomplete and odd Simpsons game, which it seems had never been publicly announced or revealed.
A second post-launch patch is hitting Cyberpunk 2077, fixing more bugs causing crashes and halting quests, among other issues. Hotfix 1.05 launched on consoles overnight, with the devs saying it would “follow soon” on PC. I’m not seeing yet, though. CDPR also offer a tantalising note about wanting to support people who make mods, though I imagine they have a lot of other tasks to tick off before they reach mod support.

There's no denying that 2020 has been a wild year, not just because of the fantastic games on display, but because of how COVID has shaken and, at times, stopped the world. But putting all that aside, there really have been some amazing games to play across all the major platforms, and they've made coping with the unexpected changes this year somewhat more bearable. Many of them were even made with developers working from home.
Like previous years, we've been highlighting some of the best games this year. Aerosoft just announced the upcoming release of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (WADD) in Bali, which is certainly a nice break from western countries as we head toward a more exotic destination.
It’s the second-busiest international airport in Indonesia and it’s known for its stunning terminal built to resemble traditional Balinese architecture.
Ngurah Rai sees a lot of airline traffic from basically all over the world, and it can easily accommodate the largest airliners like 747s and a380s, not that there is many left of those flying nowadays.
You can check out the first images below, including handy comparison with the rather mediocre default scenery.

A new Call of Duty: Warzone cutscene appears to end the current Modern Warfare storyline - and teases the arrival of John "Soap" MacTavish as a new operator.
THERE MAY BE CALL OF DUTY SPOILERS AHEAD.
This new cutscene, obtained after completing the latest set of Warzone intel missions, shows Captain Price kill antagonist Victor Zakhaev and foil his attempt to launch a nuclear attack.
Well, here we are. Two and a half years ago, I got the crazy idea to bring back Podtoid after Steven Hansen left us to go join the Red Army. It would be a lot of work and I wasn't even sure it would be good or not. But I got Chris Moyse, Dan Roemer, and Occams to sign on, helping me revive the show nearly two years ago to the day. The first show wasn't so hot, but we got better, added Charlotte to the cast, and figured out a way to create some truly wonderful episodes in the weeks and months that followed.
As much as I've enjoyed the past two years, all good things must come to an end and today, this version of Podtoid takes its last bow before exiting stage right. On the show, the whole crew is here to look back at the great things from 2020 and some of the not-so-great things as well. We talk games, movies, books, and more as we say goodbye to this godforsaken year. Also, Moyse's Simpsons knowledge is put to the test with a trivia quiz. All that and more on Podtoid Episode 470.

When Sakura Revolution: Blooming Maidens launched in Japan a few days ago, western fans found themselves locked out.
A persistent maintenance message signalled that Sega had IP-locked the game only to fans playing in Japan.
Of course, crafty players managed to play via a VPN, but that’s always a bother.
The issue lasted only a few days as the message has now disappear and western players have been allowed into the game.
No official announcement has been made by Sega, so we don’t know why the lock has been removed. We also don’t know if this is permanent, so keep in mind that this may change at any time before you invest in the game.
The game can’t be downloaded from the mobile stores in the west without going through a couple of loopholes. iOS users will have to make a Japanese account, while Android users can use QooApp.
Of course, the game is available only in Japanese at the moment, and there is no information about a western release of Sakura Revolution: Blooming Maidens just yet.

Dan hits Street Fighter 5 in February 2021, Capcom has announced.
In a video message to the Street Fighter community, Street Fighter 5 producer Shuhei Matsumoto said the developers were working as fast as they could to get the fighting game's fifth season out in the wild, pointing to difficulties around the coronavirus pandemic.
"Year 2020 has been a difficult one due to the effects of Covid-19, having a significant impact on our life and work styles," Matsumoto said.

Cyberpunk 2077's Microsoft Store page now has an Xbox One performance issues warning.
"Users may experience performance issues when playing this game on Xbox One consoles until this game is updated," reads the warning.
The addition of the warning came hot on the heels of Microsoft's decision to expand its refund policy to include all who bought Cyberpunk 2077, which costs £49.99, on its digital store.

Halo Xbox 360 games go dark December 2021, 343 Industries has announced.
Online services for Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Spartan Assault and Halo Wars will all end by December 2021.
You'll be able to continue to play these games after this date, of course, but certain online features, such as online matchmaking, will go offline.
We are about to reach the end of a very important era for Xbox--well, in about a year. Microsoft has announced that in December 2021, it will be taking Xbox 360 services offline for the Halo series. This move will affect seven different games, including two games in the original trilogy, limiting or completely disabling online matchmaking.
In a post on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries said that it takes a great deal of resources in order to maintain the services for these games. Total player-count has been dwindling as more players choose to play the Xbox One or PC versions through the Master Chief Collection, and the Xbox 360 versions haven't even been available to purchase physically for about two years.
Halo Xbox 360 services are going offline in December 2021. Games remain playable indefinitely, but some experiences will be impacted.
