Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived, bringing with it a whole host of changes to the arsenal of weapons available, a whole new Battle Pass for players to grind out, and just ‘vibes’ in general. As part of the shakeup each new season brings, many players are wondering if pumps are back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Are Pump Shotguns Back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3?

Unfortunately, no, the pump shotgun isn’t back in Fortnite as part of Chapter 3 Season 3’s round of vaulting and unvaulting different weapons.

While this may come as disappointing news to some fans, there is a bit of good news. The Two-Shot Shotgun is a new weapon that’s arrived in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 which packs some serious punch in each of its two shots. It has an ammo capacity of six, but takes a while to discharge the next two shots after each two-shot burst.

That being said, the Two-Shot Shotgun is more akin to the double-barrel shotgun that we’ve seen in previous Fortnite seasons. Even so, a new shotgun is always going to be welcome amongst Fortnite players, especially if the Pump Shotgun hasn’t yet made its return.

Square Enix shared new FFVII Remake concept art, this time focusing on Biggs. The concept art shows off early renditions of the character created by character designer Roberto Ferrari. The images also focus on the character's iconic pistol, as well as his goggles.

Biggs is a prominent character in Final Fantasy VII, appearing in both the original game as well as in Remake. A strategist in the Avalanche insurgency cell, Biggs is a kind, brotherly figure that works with Cloud and his friends on their adventures. He is childhood friends with other Avalanche members Jessie and Wedge.

Notably, the character received a redesign as part of FFVII Remake. Square Enix character designer Roberto Ferrari helped design Biggs' new look, alongside other characters like Jessie. The character retained most of his key features, with new additions such as an earring. The FFVII Remake Twitter account also notes that the design of Biggs' handgun was based on the image of a shark. Other concept images also show off early designs of Biggs' goggles, which appear to have the lens over the frame rather than inside.

Today Acquire announced a brand new game set in the Class of Heroes world, Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent.

The game is a strategy RPG and will release in Japan for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 7. It will also release in the west but the western release is just marked as “coming soon.”

On top of the new game, the Akihabara-based developer announced that it will release a remaster for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

It hasn't even been announced yet, let alone released, but Rare employees seem to be unlocking achievement for a Xbox port of GoldenEye 007 that has yet to be announced.

As spotted by our pals over at VGC, Xbox achievement tracker TrueAchievements has been tracking the unlocked - and public - achievements of BIGsheep, an alleged Rare developer who has been working through the game since October 2021.

After a brief hiatus between February and April, the dev has most recently unlocked an achievement called "Merciless", which awards you for killing an unarmed player in multiplayer.

It costs £88,000 ($110,000) to fully upgrade a character in Diablo Immortal.

That's according to Bellular News (thanks, GameRant), which has calculated that to fully max out a character, a player would need to spend over $100,000 on microtransactions, as it's seemingly not possible to do so without spending real money. You can check out the full breakdown below:

Players in Diablo Immortal have three progression pillars: XP level, equipment level, and Legendary Gems. The first two are pretty standard fare in any RPG-type game, but collating Legendary Gems can be a costly and convoluted process as the way you get them is randomised and often exceedingly rare... and right now, it seems as though F2P players cannot earn them at all.

Bandai Spirits posted a picture of what its A Prize figure in the Spy x Family Ichiban Kuji will look like. It will be available from early October 2022. The full title of this collection is "Ichiban Kuji Spy x Family Lovely Ordinary Days." While there is a list of what items to expect from this Ichiban Kuji, we only know what the A Prize will look like. It will cost 700 JPY (around $5.35) per attempt.

Bandai will likely slowly reveal the different prizes on its Twitter account. Like most Ichiban Kuji lotteries, the Spy x Family Lovely Ordinary Days collection will have prizes A to H, as well as a Last One Prize and a Double Chance Campaign. Here are the different goods you can try to get:

During a livestream from Japan, Akihabara-based developer Acquire announced the release date of two of the upcoming games.

Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief will release in Japan for PS4, Switch, and PC on October 13.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu will launch in Japan for PS4, Switch, and PC on September 29.

At the moment western release dates have not been confirmed.

Today Acquire announced that its 2013 game Akiba’s Trip 2, known in the west as Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is getting a DLC.

The DLC will feature Kati’s route, which was supposed to be part of the original game, but it was never finished.

Now, players will finally be able to enjoy it.

The new DLC was presented with a trailer that you can watch below alongside a description of the original game if you’re unfamiliar with it.

“This suburban Tokyo ward’s seen it all, from Japan’s post-war reconstruction to the economic bubblegum crisis of the ’80s. Always on the cutting edge of progress, with a little something to offer even the most fetishistic of appetites, it was almost inevitable that this singular technocracy of indulgence would give birth to a whole new kind of appetite altogether.

Enter, the “Synthisters” – vampires who prey upon the life energy of the town’s unsuspecting figurine-chasers, maid café connoisseurs and cosplayers. Those victimized by Synthisters take on the properties of their attackers while also withdrawing from society and becoming veritable shut-ins due to their newfound fatal weakness to sunlight.

Sega producer Yosuke Okunari has confirmed that the reason the company didn't pursue creating a mini Dreamcast or Saturn because "both developing and manufacturing new chipsets during the pandemic is a difficult and expensive process".

In an interview with Famitsu, Okunari said - as paraphrased by Gosokkyu (thanks, NintendoLife) - the company did "explore the idea" of a Dreamcast or Saturn Mini but ultimately decided not to pursue it when Sega discovered manufacturing mini consoles had become more expensive post-pandemic (and post semiconductor shortage, of course).

Okunari added that the Mega Drive Mini's internals "can't adequately handle Saturn games", and manufacturing new chipsets would be prohibitively expensive, joking that if they'd proceeded with the idea, the cost of buying a Dreamcast of Saturn Mini could rival that of a modern-day console.

Capcom has acknowledged that leaked details and video clips of Street Fighter 6 have shown us "things we weren't supposed to see".

In the wake of the game's appearance on Thursday's PlayStation State of Play presentation, images purporting to be of 22 Street Fighter 6 characters - many of whom had yet to be formally revealed - popped up online, including all eight World Warriors from Street Fighter 2.

We've seen horror takes on the magical girl concept before. Puella Magi Madoka Magica and its offshoots are good examples. Now Ghost Reaper Girl, a Shonen Jump manga from Rosario + Vampire creator Akihisa Ikeda under the name Akissa Saiké, feels like a similar sort of exploration of the concept. Except this time, the contract involves ghosts and acquiring powers is tied to possession.

Ghost Reaper Girl’s name comes from a campy, low-budget, in-game show. Chloe Love is a woman who grew up starving and desperate. Her dream has always been to lead a “shining life.” In an attempt to do so, she’s been trying to make her way as an actress. It isn’t going well. Aside from the one horror show, she’s only had bit parts. However, while at an interview for a new role, she discovers another talent. Her body is apparently a perfect fit to be possessed by any spirit. The innate power of her soul makes her incredibly appealing to all ghosts as a result.

Blackmill Games and M2H revealed new videos of Isonzo, the upcoming FPS set in the trenches of World War I‘s Italian front.

The video is brief but shows another terrifying element of World War I, the use of Phosgene gas against soldiers in the trenches.

It follows another couple of clips from a few weeks ago comparing the game’s environments to real life and more showing off barbed wire.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island, the latest film adaptation of the franchise, has grossed approximately $2.29 million in ticket sales in its first two days. The film debuted in Japanese theaters on June 3, 2022. Since its release, over 150,000 people have reportedly visited the cinema to see the movie.

The movie is a film adaptation of an episode from the original 1979 anime series. The episode, Cucuruz Doan's Island, is infamous among fans for its poor animation quality and notoriously bad storyline. Gundam series animator and director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko later revealed that the episode was entirely outsourced to another studio. In spite of the episode's poor reputation, Sunrise announced that it was working on a film adaptation in September 2021.

According to the film's Twitter account, Cucuruz Doan's Island sales reached approximately ¥300 million, or approximately $2.29 million, in its first two days. The film is currently showing in 184 theaters across Japan. Moreover, director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and many of the film's cast have been appearing at live stage greeting events. Yasuhiko has even commented that their "next target is Top Gun: Maverick," another popular newly-released film.

Triassic Games released the first extensive gameplay video of the upcoming simulation strategy game Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age, which will be published by MicroProse.

The video showcases over twenty minutes of naval warfare in the Cold War era, and it looks really good, especially considering that it’s work-in-progress.

This year's Go Fest, Pokémon Go's annual summer weekend extravangaza, has shaken up the game with the introduction of a new Mythical creature, the arrival of the franchise's extra-dimensional Ultra Beasts, and the apparent (albeit likely temporary) loss of everyone's favourite hunky professor, Willow.

The disappearance of Willow, a surprise twist for the game's second day, means the game has been left without its usual friendly face guiding players through the game's story. A mysterious stranger named Rhi, who looks to be a new ally, has instead taken Willow's place while players investigate the emergence of the first Ultra Beasts.

These creatures are likely the cause of Willow's absence, and will hopefully be a continued focus over the game's new Season of Go. For now at least, Willow's absence appears to be a story development that will stick for some time, with standard in-game text changed throughout the app to remove references to the professor. (For those overly concerned, a Go Fest finale event for existing ticket holders, coming in August, seems likely to revolve around his revival.)

Third-party developers had a few Microsoft Flight Simulator reveals and a release in store for us today.

We start with IndiaFoxtEcho, which shared a development update about its M-346 Master jet trainer and a few screenshots showing liveries.

We are working hard to deliver a Beta shortly, but the F-35 update took way more time than expected and it is a little late.

In order to complete a functional Beta, we still need to add code for some sound and the TACAN navigation… but in the meantime here are some screenshots of some of the liveries we have been working on.

Today Atlus released another daily trailer of its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on one of the demons that will appear in the game.

This time around the trailer reveals the return of Ouyamatsumi, a demon that has been part of the series for a long while, including the recent Shin Megami Tensei V.

As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope displaying Leo at the top of the fortune ranking and Gemini at the bottom.

Soul Hackers 2 releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.

Project Engage announced a pre-registration date for Engage Kill, as well as shown off the ending sequence for Engage Kiss. Both the game and the anime are part of the A-1 Pictures and Square Enix collaborative intellectual property, Project Engage. Character Designer Tsunako also released an image of Chloe and Kisara. Engage Kill and Engage Kiss will follow the same worldview, albeit from different perspectives. Pre-registration will open in Summer 2022 for Engage Kill. This means that the anime will start airing first. Engage Kiss has an air date of July 2, 2022. This will allow future or prospective players to get an idea of what the overall story is like.

As for Engage Kiss, Aniplex uploaded a trailer that features the ending song. Akari Nanawo will sing the song, which has the title “Ren’ai Nou,” which can be translated loosely to “Love in my Brain.” The writer for Project Engage is Maruto Fumiaki (Saenai Kanojo no Sodate Kata), and the artist is Tsunako (Date A Live). The story will be a combination of slapstick romance, action, and sci-fi. It will feature a love triangle and take place on an artificial island.

Honkai Star Rail Light Cone System Explained

Don’t let the weird name fool you; Light Cones are essentially weapons that you can equip on each character, even if they don’t look like conventional weapons. Each Light Cone comes with various stat bonuses that will increase a character’s attack, defense, and so on and so forth, but they can also come with unique perks that really help to round out your build.

For instance, some Light Cones may increase a character’s healing efficacy, while another could come with a perk that allows you to deal more critical damage. Pairing the Light Cones with the right characters in your party is the key to building an efficient party that can deal with most PvE content in the game.

How to Get Light Cones

Light Cones can be obtained in Honkai: Star Rail by either completing quests or pulling them via the gacha system. These aren’t exactly common quest completion rewards, so your best way of getting them will be by using the Warp system to pull for them.

Press Esc to bring up the menu and choose the Warp option, then pick a banner and start pulling. Do note that you need to have a Rail Pass in order to perform a summon, and Passes can be bought with Stellar Jade, Honkai: Star Rail’s premium currency.

Splitgate's beta season two is now live on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Two things named Gotham Knights are currently set to release over the coming year. One is a video game (coming in the latter half of 2022), and one is a TV show (coming early 2023), and both see a group rallying together to fight the crime in Gotham following Batman's demise.

However, despite sharing a name, an overarching concept and a pretty close launch window, these two have no relation to each other what's so ever. Huh.

"Message from the Belfry: the #GothamKnights game and the upcoming TV show of the same name are separate projects with no connection to one another," Batman Arkham Oranges developer Warner Bros. Montreal tweeted. "We can't wait for you to experience the action of our Gotham Knights soon."
