No More Heroes 3 - Rank 4 Boss Fight Guide

2 years 7 months ago

SPOILER WARNING: Be careful! No More Heroes 3 is a game filled with surprises, and sometimes boss fights don’t always go as expected. In other words, we recommend not reading the boss strategy until you’ve actually started fighting the boss to avoid spoiling some of the game’s best moments!

Another returning character comes to upstage the guy you’re supposed to fight in No More Heroes 3's Rank 4 fight. Destroyman has returned, and he has brought some friends. Or rather, a gaggle of mass-produced, mechanized clones of himself. Below, you can find out everything you need to know about defeating Destroyman. For more guides, be sure to check out our No More Heroes 3 beginner's tips.

How To Defeat Destroyman

The first phase of this fight sees Travis taking on a group of Destroymen. This fight isn’t terribly difficult--at this point, the health and attack power of the Destroyman units is weak compared to the standard foes you’re fighting in Defense Missions and Designated Matches. They fight with very straightforward close-range attacks, which are rather easy to Perfect Dodge and counter. What can prove to be a bit of a problem are their sheer numbers--when you’ve dealt with one group, another will immediately appear. All you need to do is keep fighting until you’ve slain enough of them to trigger the next few story scenes.

No More Heroes 3 - Rank 5 Boss Fight Guide

SPOILER WARNING: Be careful! No More Heroes 3 is a game filled with surprises, and sometimes boss fights don’t always go as expected. In other words, we recommend not reading the boss strategy until you’ve actually started fighting the boss to avoid spoiling some of the game’s best moments!

Midori Midorikawa is quite the odd duck. She greets you with a long rambling self-introduction, has two “talking” hands, controls elemental powers, and has decided that, before you fight her, you’re going to have to trudge your way through a first-person schoolhouse-turned-hellhouse. Creepy? Very. Weird? Oh hell yes. Difficult? Hmmm, maybe not quite so much as some of your previous fights. Below, you can find out how to defeat Midori Midorikawa. For more guides, be sure to check out our No More Heroes 3 beginner's tips.

How To Defeat Midori Midorikawa

From the start, carefully follow the glowing green orb through the structure. It will take you up a flight of stairs and, eventually, it will phase through a set of double doors that you can’t open. From here, you can go either left or right. To the right is a restroom with a save point and a warp back to the motel. If you go left, you’ll encounter several open classrooms, some of which contain an enemy fight inside. Should you go all the way down the left hall, you’ll loop back to the right side of the hall where the restroom is.

The key to opening the double doors is to go inside all of the classrooms, see if enemies attack, and then kill them all. Once you clear all of these encounters, the double doors will open and let you progress to actual one-on-one combat with Midori.

World Of Warcraft Patch Will Add Fan-Requested Features, Remove More Developer References

2 years 7 months ago

After months of player feedback that seemed to largely fall on deaf ears, Blizzard is set to bring about some major changes to many of World of Warcraft Shadowlands' biggest systems in the game's next patch, which will include the removal of a controversial feature that has long been a source of player complaints along with changes for in-game references to numerous former developers.

As outlined in a statement by the WoW development team, Blizzard will be making some significant quality-of-life changes to Shadowlands in patch 9.1.5, many of which are direct responses to feedback many players have had since Shadowlands launched.

"Over the past few weeks since we shared an update, the WoW team has been focused on the immediate future--both for our people and workplace, and what's next for players too," the WoW team writes. "As a part of that, the entire team came together to ask: What are the biggest things we're hearing that are getting in the way of your fun, and what are the most impactful changes we could make to WoW today to fix that?"

Destiny 2 Might Be Bringing Back The Ahamkaras, Its Spookiest Creatures

2 years 7 months ago

One of the weirdest and perhaps coolest elements of Destiny lore are the Ahamkara, a strange group of shapeshifting creatures who were hunted to extinction hundreds of years ago. We got a glimpse of Riven, the last Ahamkara, as the boss of the Last Wish raid back in the Forsaken expansion. Now it seems like the Ahamkara are poised to make a comeback, thanks to the machinations of Mara Sov in Destiny 2's latest content season, The Season of the Lost.

If that all sounds confusing, allow me to catch you up really quickly. So the universe of Destiny 2 is predicated on some strange forces called Paracausal Energy. That's the "Light" and the "Darkness" that give player Guardians their space magic superpowers, emanating from the god-like entities known as the Traveler and the pyramid ships that make up the Black Fleet. But Guardians are not the only paracausal entities hanging out in the solar system--there used to be creatures called Ahamkara that seemed to be able to bend reality to their will, as long as they followed certain rules.

Blizzard Teases Fresh WoW Classic Servers, Along With New Burning Crusade Content

2 years 7 months ago

World of Warcraft Classic looks like it will be getting fresh servers, Blizzard has teased in a new development update, which also confirms when the next phase of content will release for Burning Crusade Classic.

Two new raids, Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep, as well as a new Arena season, will be coming to Burning Crusade Classic starting on September 15. Unfortunately, when it comes to new servers for WoW Classic, Blizzard didn't exactly provide many details aside from teasing the concept was in the works.

"We're also working on something for WoW Classic players who've told us they'd like a chance at a fresh start, and will be sharing more on our plans soon," Blizzard wrote in its WoW development update, which also outlined big changes coming to Shadowlands.

Speculation about new servers for WoW Classic, where players would all start from scratch with brand-new characters, has run rampant following the recent arrival of a WoW Classic public test realm. Numerous questions about what new servers might look like still remain, such as what content would be initially available and whether or not Blizzard would be open to making additional changes that weren't present when WoW Classic launched in 2019.

Best PS5 Split-Screen Games For 2021: Co-Op And Multiplayer PlayStation 5 Games

2 years 7 months ago

Online multiplayer has come to dominate the world of video games, bringing players together from all over the globe. But there are still games that capture the old-school feelings of cooperation and competition of taking on someone sitting next to you on the couch, controller in-hand. For years, games handled multiplayer by splitting a single screen across the middle, creating a singular experience of sharing both a digital and physical space as you battled it out in classics like Goldeneye 007 or Quake III. Those games still exist on the PlayStation 5, offering some fun, intimate multiplayer experiences. This list compiles the best PS5 split-screen multiplayer games, while also delving into games that offer great local multiplayer by sharing one screen or offering cooperative play. Many of these games are PS4 games that are backward compatible with the PS5, but they've mostly received updates to enhance them on the newer, more powerful hardware.

Far Cry 6 Xbox Series X Gameplay Will Premiere August 31

2 years 7 months ago

Ubisoft has announced that it will be premiering the first look at Far Cry 6 running on Xbox Series X tomorrow, August 31, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.

Far Cry 6 is a standalone game with no connections to previous entries in the franchise. The game takes place in the fictional natation of Yara, based on the real world country of Cuba. Actor Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian fame, plays the game's antagonist, Anton Castillo. Yara's citizens begin their campaign to overthrow Castillo.

There will also be co-op multiplayer in Far Cry 6, allowing players to play and enjoy the game's world together. While story missions are solo-only affairs, you and your friends can tackle side-missions and in-world activities in co-op. Additionally, Far Cry 6 will have post-launch content and a season pass.

Narrative director Navid Khavari said that Far Cry 6 will be a political game that explores topics such as fascism, imperialism, forced labor, and LGBTQ+ rights. In GameSpot's preview of Far Cry 6, Alessandro Fillari said, "Far Cry 6 looks to be shaping up as a solid follow-up that keeps up with the franchise's fast pace and scope."

The previous fight may have had an epic rap battle, but it’s time to face the music again in No More Heroes 3. This showdown, however, plays out a bit differently. Below, you can find out everything you need to know about defeating Velvet Chair Girl. For more guides, be sure to check out our No More Heroes 3 beginner's tips.

How To Defeat Velvet Chair Girl

Who likes musical chairs? You don’t? Too bad because this unorthodox boss fight begins with a rhythm game that you don’t want to fail. We can't give much advice for the beginning besides hitting the buttons in time with the metronome (which will speed up during the final phase) and sprinting to the chair when the tune stops.

Look who’s back! Kimmy’s all grown up and ready to battle Travis, live on stage! After an epic rap battle for the ages, you’ll need to take on Travis’s one-time biggest fan on a set filled with flashy hazards, dangerous pyrotechnics, and the close-range attacks of Kimmy herself. Time to put this little diva down for good! Below, you can find everything you need to know to help you beat Kimmy Love. For more guides, be sure to check out our No More Heroes 3 beginner's tips.

How To Defeat Kimmy Love

Kimmy is primarily a close-range fighter, though her weapon gives her a bit more range than some of the bosses you’ve previously fought. She can lunge at you with a series of charging, swinging attacks, or do a fancy jumping slash. When she’s going in on you directly, try to enact a Perfect Dodge to activate slo-mo and get yourself a good opening to counterattack. Be careful, though--if you’re in close, she can grab and trap you between her thighs in a vicious submission. You’ll need to mash A as hard as you can to escape! Try to attack from her sides or behind so she can’t counter with this.

Animal Crossing Sneakers And Clothing From Puma Coming In September

2 years 7 months ago

Puma is making a pair of Animal Crossing shoes alongside a line of clothes, and they're not that far away. The sneakers, which feature various Animal Crossing-themed design flourishes, launch on September 18.

The shoe company posted a picture of the kicks on Twitter, showing off how the design incorporates Nintendo's neighborhood-building game series. The main fabric of the shoe has a pattern of Animal Crossing faces on it (including K.K. Slider, of course), while the tongue has a leaf logo. The shoe's colors also reflect the series, with pastel blues, teals, and earth colors. It's evocative of the Animal Crossing-themed Switch, too.

Puma will also release a line of Animal Crossing-themed clothing alongside the shoes, although details have yet to be officially announced. However, the website Animal Crossing World shared an initial picture of a light-blue hoody from the collaboration that features the same faces that appear on the shoes.

New Apex Legends Patch Fixes Bug That Allowed Players To Jump While Knocked

2 years 7 months ago

The latest patch for Apex Legends is live, fixing a few small issues, including a bug that allowed players to move more quickly and jump while downed. The patch also includes a number of stability issues and fixed a bug where the Bangalore Edition would show "no price found" on Steam, Respawn shared in a tweet.

As shown in this clip on Reddit, the bug would allow players to move around normally while down, including jumping. The bug could be caused by an enemy Legend canceling a finisher mid-animation. The downed players could move more quickly, better allowing them to use their knockdown shields to defend teammates. While players couldn't consistently cause the bug themselves, it still gave an unfair advantage whenever it did occur.

Streamer DrLupo Is Leaving Twitch For Youtube

2 years 7 months ago

Ben "DrLupo" Lupo, a streamer best known for his talents in first-person-shooter titles, as well as massive charity drives for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is departing from his platform of choice. The streaming giant, who has 4.5 million followers on Twitch, will be streaming exclusively on YouTube starting on August 31.

Lupo's move to YouTube follows other high-profile streamers leaving the Amazon-owned service in favor of Google's alternative over the past two years. Notably, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop began streaming on YouTube in 2019, with Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter doing the same in 2020. Both have found success on Google's platform, with the former currently sitting at 3.4 million subscribers and the latter with over 3.5 million subscribers. YouTube is also Herschel "Dr. Disrespect" Beam's streaming platform of choice following his ban from Twitch.

Lupo already has a sizable audience on YouTube, with over 1.7 million subscribers. The streamer has not disclosed the terms of his deal with YouTube just yet. However, speaking to The Washington Post, Lupo said that the amount would leave him "secure for life."

Fortnite Has A Leaker Problem, And They Seem To Know Everything

2 years 7 months ago

Fortnite is leaking. It has been for years. In a community of its size, the perpetual stream of datamined details from players inspect the game's PC files with each new update makes sense. Fans are ravenous for information on what's coming down the content pipeline for one of the world's biggest platforms--be it new game modes, new weapons, or especially new collaborations like Marvel, Ariana Grande, and The Walking Dead. Maybe in some light, Epic would even say Fortnite's state of constantly being dissected by its players is a blessing. It's perhaps flattering to be so wanted rather than ignored, to which teams behind past failed live-service games can probably attest.

By now, Epic surely knows to expect any secrets dumped into its files to be ripped out before their proper reveals, and for now, there seems to be no way around that. But lately, a different set of leaks has been appearing online. So far, they are proving to be credible, and some even speak to in-game events out of the reach of even the most restless dataminers. Someone is sharing the game's most secretive plans.

Historically, the cadence of being a Fortnite fan has meant waking up to--or staying up for--recaps of everything dataminers like Hypex, iFireMonkey, and ShiinaBR uncover in their datamining efforts with the overnight patches the game receives roughly every few weeks. There's no shortage of Fortnite players like them who have built successful brands on YouTube and Twitter largely through sharing these Fortnite leaks, but there has always been much more they didn't have access to.
