2 years 11 months ago

Today third-party developers revealed two new add-on airports coming for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The folks at Binersim have kept quiet for several months, and today we learn why. Following Jakarta’s smaller airport  Halim-Perdanakusuma they’re now going big with the main hub of the Indonesian capital, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (WIII).

While the announcement wasn’t explicit, the screenshot you can see below unmistakably portrays the richly-decorated interior of one piers of Soekarno-Hatta.

Considering that this is the ninth-busiest airport in Asia, it’ll be certainly an interesting addition for those who love flying airliners.

Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Gives First Free Chance at Lobelia & Celebrates Marie Rose’s Birthday

2 years 11 months ago

A few interesting events have gone live on Koei Tecmo and DMM’s free to play game Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation.

First of all, the game is celebrating its three-and-a-half-years anniversary for the Japanes eversion (apparently half anniversary are a thing in DOAXVV).

As a result, there are quite a few gachas with the relatively gracious celebratory 3.3% SSR rate available, including all the girls.

Perhaps more important is that there are two gachas with the three newest girls, Lobelia, Tsukushi, and Patty, and the same SSR percentage. This is the first time Lobelia is available in a gacha that doesn’t require spending real money, and it’s also a good chance to unlock the other two in case you haven’t had any luck with them yet.

On top of that, the game is also celebrating Marie Rose’s birthday as it’s already June 6 in Japan.

Of course, this celebration is a lot less “generous” than the one for the anniversary, as it features two paid-only gacha. The first has a new costume for this year, while the second has the one from 2020, and the one from 2019.

The SSR rate for the new costume is the usual abysmal 0.78%, since the overall 1.1% rate is diluted by arguably useless older costumes that likely no one (or almost) wants.

Of course, this is only valid for the Japanese version, as the English version on Steam is a over year behind, so it doesn’t have Lobelia at all, and gets only the older costumes for Marie Rose’s birthday.

Reclaiming the Middle-earth from before the movies

2 years 11 months ago

You could be forgiven for not caring about Daedalic's Gollum game. The early development materials I saw during a studio visit in 2019 certainly left me with mixed feelings - fascination and admiration but a degree of unease. To single out one of the more risible elements: a Gollum game in which Gollum can wall-run doesn't sound very Gollumy. Gollum is known for his agility, of course - picture him in The Two Towers, descending a cliff "like some large prowling thing of insect-kind" - but you can't just parkour over the line between "creeping menace" and "Prince of Persia", especially when your title character is the best part of 600 years old.

Together with certain other boilerplate features, like throwing objects to lure guards out of position, it suggests a studio with little experience of action-adventure clinging zealously to conventions at the expense of its premise. But perhaps the real problem is that nobody really wants to play a genuinely Gollumy game. The whole point of Gollum, after all, is that you try not to become him. He's the cautionary tale Bilbo and Frodo must learn from during their struggle with the Ring - the Hobbit who fell, his mind and body splitting around a terrible obsession.

Marvel Future Revolution Gets New Gameplay Trailer Showing Spider-Man in Action

2 years 11 months ago

Marvel released a new trailer of the upcoming “AAA” open-world mobile game Marvel Future Revolution developed by Netmarble.

This time around it isn’t a reveal of a new character, but a new look at one of the first that was announced for the game over a year ago, fan-favorite Spider-Man.

You can check out his flashy (and sticky) moves below.

At the moment, there is no relese date for Marvel Future Revolution, but we know that it’s coming for iOS and android.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game (which wouldn’t be surprising considering the year of silence) it’s a mobile multiplayer open-world RPG for iOS and Android.

The story is about the “Convergence,” a multiverse catastrophe in which universes collide, which means that we’ll be able to play plenty of versions of beloved superheroes.

The players become members of Omega Flight based in New Stark City, which is the universe’s last line of defense. Basically, it’s a group of heroes that came together from multiple realities to defend the universe.
