THQ Nordic has announced Elex 2, the next game from Piranha Bytes.
It's down as "coming soon" to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. The announcement trailer is below:
Elex 2 is the sequel to post-apocalyptic sci-fi open-world role-playing game Elex, which Piranha Bytes' released in 2017. "Hokey, uneven and janky, Elex is nonetheless a compelling throwback to a time before open worlds became choose your own to-do lists," Richie Shoemaker wrote in Eurogamer's Elex review.
Our number one 'best wireless keyboard' recommendation is the Logitech G915 TKL, and today this compact mechanical keyboard is £50 off at Amazon.
That makes this ultra-premium keyboard significantly more affordable, dropping the price from £199 (!) to £149. It's still a premium proposition, but in my eyes it's justified by the robust aircraft-grade aluminium design, low profile tactile mechanical switches and industry-leading low-latency wireless.
These basic elements are enough to make for a great keyboard for typing, programming or gaming, but the G915 TKL gets a lot of the little things right too.
During Capcom's E3 stream last night, they showed new footage of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which is coming to PC next month. Some of it will be fairly familiar to those of you who've dabbled in Ace Attorney, though they did reveal a couple of new gameplay mechanics: Dance Of Deduction and Summation Examination. I can't get over how that first one sounds like Herlock Sholmes has been spending a bit too much time on AO3.
Physical shipments and digital sales are included in this launch week figure.

Piranha Bytes are returning to their post-apocalyptic sci-fantasy world with Elex 2, announced today. The sequel to their 2017 RPG will continue the story of Jax, trying to reuinite factions against a new threat and all that. Point is: yes, you still have a jetpack. Check out the cinematic announcement trailer, which has real 'angsty anime music video' vibes, below.
A while ago it was rumoured that Call Of Duty: Warzone would get some magic red doors for fast travel. Turns out those doors are being installed right now in preparation for Season 4, which drops on Thursday. Oh, and there's a new event about raining satellites? A new gulag's also being popped in, alongside a new zippy vehicle. But one thing remains, and that's Nakatomi Plaza. I'm glad it's sticking around for the foreseeable.
A patch has been released, fixing technical issues that had prevented it from being accessed.

Guilty Gear Strive has sold more than 300k copies since going on sale last week, developer Arc System Works has announced.
That includes shipments of physical copies and downloads, the developer said in a tweet.
Strive got off to a great start on PC, and hit peak Steam concurrents of over 31,000 players, according to SteamDB.
Bad news for owners of older Nvidia graphics cards this morning, as the graphics card maker has confirmed they're ending support for all of their desktop Kepler GPUs starting this October. That means no more Game Ready drivers, performance enhancements or bug fixes for people with GTX 600, GTX 700 or GTX Titan cards.
The live-action Assassin's Creed series in the works at Netflix has signed up Jeb Stuart as its writer, according to Variety.
Most recently, and perhaps most relevantly, Stuart created Vikings spin-off Vikings: Valhalla, a spin-off from the popular Norse telly drama which is also Netflix-bound.
Further back, more years than I care to mention, Stuart also wrote the screenplay for the legendary Die Hard.
This E3 had a lot more zombies than I was expecting, but you know what? I'm always down for more co-op zombie shooter shenanigans. World War Z developers Saber Interactive have announced a new version of the game, World War Z: Aftermath, which will arrive later this year. It will add new zombs, a new melee system, first-person mode, cross-platform multiplayer, and a bunch more. Aftermath will cost $40 for the whole thing, or $20 if you already own WWZ.
Later today, Nintendo will broadcast its Direct for this year’s E3. Leading up to the event, the Kyoto-based game company has issued a request on its Japanese Twitter account: Do not co-stream our presentation.
All in a Back 4 Blood party can play paid DLC as long as one player owns it, developer Turtle Rock has confirmed.
In a blog post, Turtle Rock said if your party leader owns a paid content drop, you will be able to play that content with them. This includes maps, gameplay and campaign.
"No separation. No exclusion. No split," Turtle Rock said.
Rare's mysterious fantasy deer adventure Everwild is now pencilled in for 2024, according to a new report.
Everwild, alongside various other far-off Microsoft exclusives, was absent from this year's Bethesda-dominated Xbox E3 showcase. That is because its development has undergone a reboot, and its launch window pushed back, according to a VGC report.
But while we won't see Everwild for some time, there's reason to be optimistic for the project. Rare veteran Gregg Mayles, who has served at the studio for more than 30 years, was recently brought on as its creative director.
The advent of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung is at hand.

In addition to announcing their brand-new Blade 14 laptop last night, Razer also used their E3 2021 presser to give us an update on their Project Hazel smart face mask, which was first announced earlier in the year at CES. After listening to community feedback, Razer have added some new features to their upcoming N95 respirator, including a new anti-fog coating and, my favourite, interior RGB lighting. Oh yes, folks. It's CHROMA TIME.
Everwild, a new IP from Rare that was first unveiled in 2019, didn't make an appearance at E3 2021 because it's being "completely rebooted." ...
Nintendo will, however, allow for reaction videos to be posted after the Nintendo Direct is over.

At first glance, the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection offers a great ton of value based on its legacy alone. The inclusion of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is an absolute whirlwind of action and intense combat designed for white-knuckled fun.
However, while it is a blessing to have these Ryu Hayabusa games in a modern console experience, it appears that old habits die hard. Many of the problems that plagued the initial releases of the later games are still present in this collection, and Team Ninja has not adequately addressed them even for a new release.
If you are already familiar with the overarching plots in each of the games, you are stepping into old territory with the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Granted, plot has never been a strong suit of such games, but it is still quaint to see cutscenes from the past still looking the way they do in 2021. For newcomers, it is a great way to step into the past and experience the genre’s beginnings for yourself.

Ynglet is a game about jumping between bubbles like you're a space-dolphin. You don't need me to go on, do you? Full disclosure: I pinched that description from the Steam page, but I needed it! I have absolutely no idea what's going on in the game. I'm a shape that swims along and jumps between what I now know are bubbles. What I'm doing there, I don't really know. Some meteor crashed into a scene you're likely to see in a microscope, and here we are. But the whys don't really matter. What matters is: it's fabulous.
It reminds me a lot of flOw, that awkwardly capitalised PS3 game by thatgamecompany, which you probably know for making Journey. Remember it? FlOw was a kind of meditative Petri dish of a game. You were a microscopic organism and had to steadily eat your way bigger, without getting eaten yourself. There's no eating here in Ynglet, but you do look a bit like a tiny organism, and that tone, that meditative calm: Ynglet is all about that.
Ynglet is a kind of platformer. You swim, but you only ever really control your movement when inside a bubble of some kind. Outside of a bubble, gravity pulls you down, meaning you can fall to your sort-of death. The idea, then, is to swim to the edge of a bubble, leap out, and land in another bubble. Incidentally, if you do fall, you go back quickly to the last bubble you activated by waiting on it for a moment or two.

Many of you play Pokémon Go every day; others are enchanted by Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Later this year, Niantic is inviting you to another augmented reality experience for mobile devices. In Transformers: Heavy Metal, you team up with the Autobots to uncover hidden areas on Earth that contain valuable resources. Standing in your way are those pesky Decepticons.
Niantic and developer Very Very Spaceship aren't sharing many details about Heavy Metal at this time, but did reveal the game will have turn-based battles that you can tackle on your own or with friends. From that comment, there's a chance these battles are designed in a similar way to Pokémon Go's raid system, which allows for low-level battles to be completed by one or two people, but the harder enemies require an entire team.
All players are a part of a group called the Guardian Network, which is working with the Autobots. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are obviously two of the characters you'll interact with in some capacity. Skywarp and Shadow Striker are two the Decepticons, which are likely led by Megatron. Niantic and Very Very Spaceship are partnering with Hasbro and TOMY to bring these beloved robots in disguise to life.
I wrote about Paralives last year, because a) it’s cool seeing a proper competitor to The Sims, and b) the house construction stuff looked really interesting. A year later and the house stuff now looks like 94% of the reason I want to play this game.

It's the future and you're living on a space station in the great beyond! But the future is bad, and you're only a human consciousness in an failing artificial body owned by a corporation who want you back. That's how it goes in Citizen Sleeper, a sci-fi slice-of-life RPG announced this week by the creator of In Other Waters. I am certainly up for visiting a distant lawless space station to eek out a living, thwart a corp, and maybe even make some friends. Check out the announcement trailer below.

We're still riding high on the E3 2021 Elden Ring reveal. There was so much to unpack with the full gameplayer trailer, and now we're learning even more. First, we learned a little bit about the game's co-op. Then we got some new insight into the open world. Now? Now it's time for the Spirit Body companions to have their time in the spotlight.
In a recent Famitsu interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki, he confirmed that Elden Ring players can summon what is called a Spirit Body. These spectral beings are pretty useful; they can help you when you're in a tight spot mid-combat. If this feels new to fans of Bloodborne and Dark Souls, that's because it is. These companions are completely on your side and, at least according to the translation from Japanese, can be commanded to perform certain roles.
Miyazaki also confirmed that these spirits are actually the spirits of fallen enemies, so it's like a one-two punch of complete destruction. Not only have you killed them, but you're also making them essentially do your bidding. Nice.
Today during Capcom's E3 presentation, Capcom confirmed it was working on DLC for the recently-released Resident Evil Village – but didn't say much else.
VIllage's producer, Tsuyoshi Kanda, delivered the news. As of right now, aside from knowing it's being made, we know nothing about the upcoming DLC's gameplay, story, characters, setting, or otherwise.
"By popular demand, development has just started on additional DLC for Resident Evil Village," Capcom said in the video, following Kanda's presentation.
While we don't know anything about Village's DLC just yet, it's worth keeping in mind Resident Evil 7: Biohazard – Village's direct predecessor, released in 2017 – received numerous content drops expanding on the story and lore of the game's central narrative. It also allowed players to assume the roles of characters other than protagonist Ethan Winters, including series mainstay Chris Redfield and newcomer Joe Baker. Whether Village receives similar treatment, time will tell.
Capcom have kicked off their E3 presentation for 2021 by leading with some hot, sizzling, not at all surprising news. They are in fact planning to develop DLC for their newest and shiniest RE game. That's right, Resident Evil Village is going to have some DLC at some point. When? They didn't say. What? They didn't say that either. It sure is coming though. Oh, and so is the free multiplayer deathmatch mode Re:Verse. That's launching next month after it was delayed.
Kadokawa Games has released a new video, a new image and new details about its strategy simulation JRPG Relayer.
This time around, we get to know a little better Himiko and her voice actress Moe Toyota.
The image you can see below shows both Luna and her mecha, while the video has Toyota-san introduce herself to the fans. You may be familiar with her for her roles as Kanon Matsubara in BanG Dream! or Sapphire Kawashima in Sound! Euphonium.
The tweets reveal that Luna is the sister of the protagonist Terra, but she hates her and she has sworn to exact revenge on her. What happened between the two sisters in the past is a mystery and will be revealed in the game.
