A new Game & Watch system from Nintendo collects the original NES titles The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. But that’s not all! The system also includes the original green-toned Game Boy title The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. But that’s not all! It also includes an original Game & Watch game called Vermin, which looks a lot like Whac-A-Mole; however, this time around Link is the playable character. But that’s not all! It also looks adorable.

Okay, that’s all.

This special Game & Watch is Nintendo’s way of celebrating the Zelda series, which turns 35 this year. The system also has a couple of neat time-keeping features – after all, it’s called a watch for a reason. In addition to playing four games, this Game & Watch features a playtime clock themed after The Legend of Zelda and an interactive timer based on Zelda II. Nintendo did something similar with Mario last year, so it’s cool to see this trend continue.

The Legend of the Zelda is one of Nintendo’s marquee franchises. Not only was it one of the earliest open-world games, but it helped pioneer the action/RPG genre. If you haven’t played these early titles, they might be worth a look, and this new Game & Watch makes them incredibly easy to pick up and play wherever you are.

The Nintendo Direct E3 2021 stream became jam-packed with Zelda content as it ended, and Skyward Sword HD was one of the games that received a brand-new trailer. It’s a short one, so it’s more of a reminder that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be coming to Nintendo Switch on July 16.

The game was originally announced back in February, and there have been a few short looks at the remaster since then. This is another quick one that seems more like a reminder that the game is right around the corner.

Alright, the next sentence will feature a confusing combo of words.

Icarus: First Cohort is a PvE session-based survival game by RocketWerkz, a studio founded by Dean Hall - the person who brought us DayZ. While in DayZ you attempt to survive through a zombie apocalypse, the idea in Icarus is that you've got a limited amount of time to explore a savage alien planet, grab resources, then hoof it back to your dropship and escape. If you don't make it out alive, you lose everything.

"Crikey", I thought when I heard about it. "Now that is intense." But in reality, Icarus is a lot less savage than it lets on. In fact, I'd say it's pretty chill. I mean, I had time to try and become the first person in Icarus to bake some bread. I failed - but in fairness, the feature hasn't gone live yet.

Ready to fight some more of the hordes of Hell? Of course you are! For those that have lovefor the Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One DLC, you can now take this adventure on the go with Nintendo Switch. Even better? It arrives today. The E3 2021 Nintendo Showcase showed off a little bit of how this expansion plays on the hybrid console, confirming its arrival.

Arriving today, Doom fans can jump right into the action on the Nintendo Switch. At the time this article was written, The Ancient Gods DLC wasn't showing up in the eShop quite yet, but Nintendo promises that it will be arriving later today. 

Doom Eternal joined the Nintendo Switch library back in December of last year, and it runs pretty well on the portable system. The Switch has continued to surprise fans, in the best way, with its performance and impressive third-party support, so to be able to play the next step in the hellish franchise, and its DLC, is pretty darn cool.

Players have been clamoring for more info on the Breath of the Wild sequel, and today’s E3 Nintendo Direct finally answered that need. The latest look at the game showed off new powers, curious locations, and lots of action. We still haven't seen an official logo or title, but we certainly have now seen more of the game in motion.

The trailer opens with Link tumbling, skydiver-style, through an open sky, before breaking to a variety of action scenes of Link moving through the game world. Several of the powers shown are especially intriguing, such as one in which he seems to pull himself through the bottom part of a rockface with some sort of portal. We see Link use a flamethrower device against one of his monstrous opponents. In another sequence, he seems to take control of a vast tumbling spiked ball rolling downhill toward him and alter its trajectory. Finally, as the trailer comes to an end, we are treated to a menacing floating citadel in the distance, almost certainly the home of some challenging boss battle we have yet to learn about.

Wario Ware has made its glorious return in Nintendo’s E3 Direct this morning. WarioWare: Get It Together! features the garlic-eating antagonist along with a ton of “chumps” from previous games in the series. Wario himself narrated the trailer, announcing the game and release date.

Framed as a brand-new game from Wario’s own development company, this new title continues to focus on the micro-games it made famous all the way back on the Game Boy Advance. Classic scenarios are shown, like squeezing a tube of toothpaste, avoiding bird poop, and hitting a Mario Land question-mark block.

A twist this time around brings the WarioWare characters into the micro-games where players must use their different abilities to complete fast-paced objectives. Wario is shown jumping and flying around to complete the various micro-objectives, instead of having to perform simple one or two-button solutions. Each of the playable characters has its own mobility and projectile options based on their personal style and quirks.

Recent games have brought multiplayer into the series and Get It Together! will also allow for friends and family to play along. A two-player mode was demonstrated, with each player controlling a different character in the cast. Whether the mode is designed to be cooperative or competitive is unclear, but the gameplay presented looked like both were possible.

Today, Nintendo revealed a brand new Game & Watch system centered around The Legend of Zelda. In the trailer below, you can see just how this upcoming new handheld device will work when it releases in November.

This new release is almost identical to the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch that Nintendo released last year and will be great for fans that want to play some Zelda quick and easy while they may be out on the go.

Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda will come with the following games and unique features:

• The Legend of Zelda
• Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
• The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
• Vermin (starring Link)
• Interactive digital clock + timer

Today, at the Nintendo Direct E3 2021 Livestream Danganronpa: Decadence was announced to be coming to Nintendo Switch later in 2021.

Specifically, the new bundle will include 2010’s Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, 2012’s Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair, 2017’s Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and a new expanded standalone version of the boardgame from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony – dubbed Danganronpa S Ultimate Summer Camp – will also be included, too.

The 4-game Danganronpa: Decadence collection will be available as a physical release exclusively on Nintendo Switch and will launch later this year. And all four games will also launch digitally as standalone titles on the Nintendo e-shop as well. Go ahead and feast your eyes on the official announcement trailer down below:

For those unfamiliar with the Danganronpa series, the core premise is a wacky concoction of Battle Royale, Cluedo and an Agatha Christie novel. Sixteen strangers awaken trapped in a large, abandoned school-like structure where they must live their lives day-in, day-out.

During the E3 2021 Direct livestream, Nintendo revealed Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp.

The game will bring back the first two Advance Wars game in a lovely strategy cocktail.

The game will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 3, 2021.

The Danganronpa series is finally making its way to Switch. Danganronpa Decadence bundles four games in one neat, twisted package to celebrate the franchise’s 10th anniversary. Now Switch owners can indulge in the fun of watching an evil bear force high school students into murdering each other. 

The collection includes the three main games in the Danganronpa series. You can also find our original reviews for each right next to them, in case you’d like an idea of what you’re in for and how they stack up. If you're only interested in one or two of these games, Nintendo states that each title in the collection will be sold individually sometime later this year. 

Today, during the Nintendo Direct E3 2021 presentation, Nintendo confirmed that Wave 1 of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s expansion will arrive in just three days on June 18.

The DLC titled: Pulse of the Ancients will add a new character known as “battle-tested guardian” new weapon types which include a flail for Link and the Master Cycle for Zelda, new challenges in the Royal Ancient Lab, and new challenging enemies, and “Apocalyptic” difficulty level.

Wave 2, known as Guardian of Remembrance, will release sometime in November. The expansion pass can be bought from the Nintendo eShop and retails for $19.99.

It’s been two years since the initial Breath of the Wild 2 announcement, and we haven’t heard anything since that E3. Nintendo finally broke the silence this year, though, as they came back with a new trailer showing off even more of the game beyond that brief, tantalizing teaser.

While we still don’t have a set release date for the game, the trailer ends with a 2022 tease. The sequel will also feature a much more expanded world that allows players to explore the skies of Hyrule, as well as new powers that you can play around with on the Sheikah Slate. Unfortunately for fans who might have been hoping for Zelda to be a playable character, it looks like Link is still going to be main and only star for this one, at least from what we’ve seen so far.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is getting a Nintendo Switch port, and the game has received a new trailer to mark the occasion.

Streamed during the Japanese E3 2021 Nintendo Direct livestream held on June 15, the trailer offers a brief overview of everything the port will offer. Goku and his friends can be seen engaging in battle with the villains from the series, including Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. They can also be seen engaging in the side quests from the game, gathering ingredients and speaking to NPCs as they do.

It all looks fairly good from a graphics standpoint, and there doesn’t appear to be any slowdown occurring on the Switch’s hardware. Whether this can be said of the full title, however, is yet to be seen.

The trailer also reveals that there’s more to enjoy from the port than the vanilla version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. In addition to the base game, the A New Power Awakens episodes will also be included with the Switch port. It is unknown whether the game’s other DLC episodes will be included at this time.

It’s a brief but informative trailer, and those who were holding out for a port on Nintendo’s console will definitely want to check it out in all its glory.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will launch in 2022, Nintendo has confirmed.

The hugely-anticipated sequel was shown off today at the very end of Nintendo's E3 presentation in a new trailer which revealed new powers, new enemies, and new gameplay in the skies of Hyrule.

The ability to visit floating islands is reminiscent of Skyward Sword, the Wii Zelda entry which is getting a re-release this summer. This time, the islands look larger, and Link will be able to glide through the sky between them.

Today, during the Nintendo Direct E3 2021 presentation, a WarioWare Get It Together was announced for the Nintendo Switch. The game features the same gameplay from past titles with multiple Microgames, but this time around there will be multiplayer games.

These multiplayer games appear to require some intricate cooperative play in order to complete them successfully.

They also showed off multiple different characters from the WarioWare series taking on the microgames in different ways. It appears that each character will have their own abilities that let them solve the puzzles in completely unique ways.

It’ll be interesting to see the combination of individual character abilities combines with the co-op microgames.

It’s also worth noting that all of the microgames featured in the trailer for WarioWare Get It Together appear to be completely new. But it’s far too soon to confirm that all of the microgames will be completely new or different from past titles in the franchise.

Remember Advance Wars? Nintendo's much-loved and long-neglected turn-based strategy series? Well it's making a very long-awaited return as a two-game remaster bundle for Switch.

Title Advance Wars 1+2: Re-boot Camp, the surprise bundle features 3D remakes - "reimagined and rebuilt from the ground-up" - of the original Advance Wars and its sequel Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (which originally released on Gameboy Advance in 2001 and 2003 respectively), which should make long-starved series fans very happy indeed. Although obviously not quite as happy as if it had been a brand-new game.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-boot Camp is coming to Switch later this year on 3rd December.

The Danganronpa series have been announced for Nintendo Switch.

All three games in the adventure visual novel trilogy, as well as an expanded, standalone version of V3's board game named Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, will be packaged together in a physical-exclusive bundle named Danganronpa Decadence.

All four games will also be available digitally as separate releases later this year.

Because one Monster Hunter game a year wasn’t enough, Capcom is releasing Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin later this year as well. We’ve already seen a few trailers for it, but we got to take another look at some of the core gameplay elements during the Nintendo E3 Direct.

Unlike your traditional MonHun game, Wings of Ruin features turn-based combat battles, and also allow you to team up with monster companions to take down more fearsome foes. Win the battle, and you’ll be rewarded with monster parts that can be used to craft better armor and weapons.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is set to be released for Switch and PC on July 9.

Ever since its initial announcement a few years back, Atlus has pretty much been mum on Shin Megami Tensei V. However, after a long wait, we’ve finally gotten a nice long look at gameplay and what the game is going to look like, as well as a confirmed release date. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

Much like its predecessors, SMT V takes place in a pretty wrecked version of modern Tokyo. You’ll be battling demons, but you also get to negotiate with them and convince them to join your party. You’ll also have the ability to fuse them to create more powerful demons to take on the tougher challenges ahead.

I have to say, after spending a ton of time with the recent Nocturne Switch port, the menus and UI in SMT V look incredibly clean and intuitive, and it’s just the jump that the series needed.

Shin Megami Tensei V is set to be released for Switch on Nov. 12.

The Nintendo Direct E3 2021 stream just revealed that Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange Remastered Collection will both be coming to Nintendo Switch. This means that True Colors is now coming to Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Sept. 10. The Remastered Collection is set to launch for the same platforms later the same month, on Sept. 30, but the Nintendo trailer didn’t actually provide a Switch release date.

The only thing we know about the release for the Switch version of the Life is Strange Remastered Collection is that it’ll be coming “later this year.”

The short trailer gives us a cool little animated look at Max, Chloe, and Alex on a train just hanging out. You can have a look at the short video below.

WarioWare is back, with WarioWare: Get it Together hitting Switch on the 10th of September.

The announcement was part of Nintendo's E3 Direct. The gimmick? Get It Together sees players controlling the WarioWare characters inside the mini-games. So we see Wario squeezing toothpaste out of a giant tube and peeling off a facemask and dodging bird poo, for example. Elsewhere, other WarioWare characters have new talents - 9Volt uses a yo-yo to turn the blades of a windmill in one game - and different characters will be able to use their own specific abilities to complete each challenge.

This idea comes into its own in a new two-player mode which sees players competing or collaborating on a single screen. The micro-games shown throughout the reveal were very classical Wario type experiences, with a lovely swipe-file mix of styles and production values. I can't wait.
