In order to unlock the Apex Commander Prestige Skin, you must unlock all of 40 of the Gaiden Event’s cosmetics.

Mythic skins have been a bit of a thorn in the battle royale’s side since the Bloodhound skin was introduced a few months ago. There is no gameplay related way for you to unlock the skin during the event. You must dish out your hard earned cash to unlock every single cosmetic which, if we go back to the introduction of the Bloodhound Prestige Skin, it roughly cost $160 to unlock all of the cosmetics. With this event containing 40 total cosmetics that number may change so be sure to check back with us as we will keep you updated.

If you don’t want to spend the money on the skin, when the event concludes in August, the skin will most likely be added to the shop. However, it’ll cost you 150 Heirloom Shards.

Today new add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator have been released, including a much-anticipated aircraft on Xbox.

After a long delay for the sake of optimization and testing, IndiaFoxtEcho released its excellent F-35 Lightning II for Xbox on the official marketplace.

You can grab it directly in the marketplace for $29.99. It will also unlock the PC version in case you have both platforms.

The aircraft has a few limitations on Xbox in order to preserve performance, but it should still be very enjoyable. The developer itself explained this on Facebook.

WHAT WILL BE THE PRICE OF THE XBOX VERSION?

It will be the same as the PC version. Given that the Xbox port is somewhat “restricted” with respect to PC, this seemed unfair to some customers. On the other hand, buying the XBox version you also get the PC version (and vice-versa, existing PC customers will also get the XBox version for free). And it is 3 separate aircrafts… so hopefully it is not a bad deal.

ARE THE PC AND XBOX VERSIONS IDENTICAL GRAPHICALLY?

No. To fit the F-35 within the XBox memory limits, some of the textures have lower resolution – in particular the fuselage main texture has been reduced from 8K to 4K. While the downgrade will be certainly visible by looking the aircraft at a close distance, it should be almost unnoticeable during gameplay.Also, the XBox version had the weapon pylons completely removed.

343 Industries livestreamed an early look at the flight build of the campaign co-op multiplayer feature of Halo Infinite.

In this feature, everyone is playing their own Master Chief’s story, and when they go back to playing in single-player, they continue that personal story.

Players can split up and venture out on their own to complete different objectives. You can go very far from other members of your fireteam. Yet, there’s a limit if you go too far you’ll receive a warning message asking you to return to the fireteam. If you don’t, you’ll be considered AWOL and be executed.

The behavior of the enemies will scale depending on the number of players, making progressively more challenging. Ammo crates also scale. Everybody can use them and they have more ammo in them the more players there are.

When someone grabs a collectible, all the members will receive it, regardless of what they’re doing.

You can replay missions and you won’t lose your progress, being able to resume your previous progress afterward. When you replay a mission you can change options and difficulty, and it’s a good chance to help friends unlock collectibles.

Every player can skip cutscenes at any point.

Atlus released one of its daily trailers of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on one of the demons that will be featured in the game.

This time the trailer reveals Anubis, a demon that has been part of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise since the very beginning and also appeared in the recent Shin Megami Tensei V.

Today Entergram announced a new character that will appear in Aquarium, the upcoming pure love visual novel starring virtual YouTuber Minato Aqua.

The new character is inevitably another popular Vtuber from the Hololive team, and it’s Houshou Marine, one of the most popular with her nearly 2 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Yet, she will appear in Aquarium in a very different role compared to her usual pirate persona. She’ll be a senior maid who mentors Aqua the newbie.

She’s recognized by their employer as a reliable maid who is always cheerful and flexible in her work. As a colleague working for the Francois family, Marine is sometimes strict with Aqua, while at times she treats her kindly.

Recently a car enthusiast has taken to TikTok and modded their Miata using Nintendo Wii accessories. TikTok user Tyler Atkin, also known as "Ttptng," has been documenting their progress on modding their Miata for the past three weeks while taking suggestions from viewers.

On June 24, Ttptng posted their first video of them replacing the steering wheel in their car with a Wii Mario Kart steering wheel, with the Wii Remote attached to it. The following day they uploaded another video of them driving their Miata around using the Mario Kart steering wheel and said, "That was a horrendous experience." But despite the horrible experience, that didn't stop them from adding more Wii accessories to their car.

Then on June 29, another modification was made, replacing the gear stick with a Wii Nunchuk. With the help of some tools and super glue, they installed the Nunchuk and used it as a proper gear stick.

The Signal 4K30 and Signal HD60 are new capture cards from hardware manufacturer NZXT, which is known primarily for its custom PC builds. While these diminutive devices are new territory for NZXT, it's also well-worn by Elgato, Avermedia, and numerous others. Developer Survios is teaming up with 20th Century Fox to create a new single-player, action-horror game based on the Alien franchise.

Details on the new venture - currently being referred to as "Aliens" - are pretty scarce right now, with Survios only saying it'll feature an original storyline set somewhere between the events of Alien and Aliens, with players taking on the role of a "battle hardened veteran [with] a vendetta against the Xenomorphs".

Given Survios' background as a primarily VR-focused developer - it's worked on the likes of Creed: Rise to Glory, The Walking Dead Onslaught, and Puzzle Bobble 3D: Vacation Odyssey - it won't be much of a surprise to hear its new Aliens project is also be getting the VR treatment.

Riot today has released a PSA on how Valorant players can earn a Fist Bump Gun Buddy charm. But really, it was Riot's polite way of asking players to stop spamming devs' Twitter DMs for the charm, as players can only get one by "demonstrating good sportsmanship while in a match with a Riot employee."

In the new Gun Buddy FAQ post, Riot specifically pointed out that it is not a good idea to ask a Riot employee for the charm. "There’s a limit to the number of Fist Bumps each Rioter can give out," Riot said. "So they’re unlikely to give you one just because you asked--if anything, this lessens your chances."

Riot also said that no Rioter will ever offer to sell players a Gun Buddy and submitting a ticket for a Gun Buddy while claiming good sportsmanship will also not work. The company added that following Rioters on Twitter and sliding into their DMs will also--guess what?--not work.

The latest Fall Guys' event, The Idol Games, offers players the chance to obtain a free costume, but only if they are skilled enough to complete the necessary challenges. Since its free-to-play launch in June, Fall Guys has offered a consistent feed of events with free reward tracks and The Idol Games looks like the toughest one yet.

The Idol Games coincides with a playlist, Ring Hexathlon, which features three back-to-back rounds of Hex-A-Ring, which is typically a final round. For tips on how to win Hex-A-Ring, check out GameSpot's guide for all of the new rounds in Season 1. On top of that, players will need to rack up at least four wins across different playlists. The Idol Games run from July 14-18.

The Idol Games challenges and rewards

In order to secure all of the items in The Idol Games event, players will need to earn 1,000 points. There are 10 total challenges, each worth 100 points, so players will need to complete all of the challenges.

The challenges are:

• Play Any Round in Ring Hexathlon
• Win Hexathlon
• Reach Round 3 in Squads Show
• Read the Final Round in Squads Show
• Win Squads Show
• Reach Round 3 in Duos Show
• Win Duos Show
• Reach Round 4 in Solo Show
• Reach the Final Round in Solo Show
• Win Solo Show

While there are ten challenges, if you can secure a win in each of the four playlists necessary, you will complete the other challenges during that same round. The rewards for completing these challenges include an exclusive costume, only for those who are able to best The Idol Games.

The Xenomorphs are usually high on the list when it comes to scary science-fiction monsters. However, that has not always been the case in the video gaming space, with varying levels of success in different genres. Now, we have one more Aliens game to look forward to, with Survios announcing a new single-player, action-horror title in collaboration with 20th Century Games.

Built for console, PC, and virtual reality, the new game does not have a title just yet. Yet, we can likely expect to hear about it that when more details are shared at the “ALIEN: Expanding a Dark and Frightening Universe” panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 21.

To shed more light on this news, TQ Jefferson, Chief Product Officer at Survios, shared the following statement:

If you have been keeping up with the video game skateboarding scene, then the upcoming Skate 4, or skate., should be one to watch. Developer Full Circle has been quiet about the game, but in a new The Board Room update, some new and juicy details have been revealed. If you are curious about whether Skate 4 is free to play, we have the answer for you.

Is Skate (4) Free to Play?

With Skate 4/skate. taking players to the city of San Vansterdam, that journey will cost players nothing, regardless if you are playing on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. However, that will come with some tradeoffs, as shared in the update.

Does Skate (4) Have Microtransactions?

As a free-to-play game, we can most certainly expect microtransactions. However, Full Circle was keen to stress that there are several hard rules they are sticking to when it comes to this area. Essentially, there will be:

The WoW: Dragonflight alpha and datamining have revealed potential new inclusivity features for the MMO. These features alter and add additional steps to character creation, allowing for more player customization.

One of these inclusivity features is shown off in the recent alpha for Dragonflight. In the character creator, the player’s choices of body model are labeled “Body 1” and “Body 2.” Before Dragonflight, and still in the current release of the game, these models were labeled “Male” and “Female.” People of all genders slot into far more than just two kinds of bodies, but the decoupling of gender from even these specific body types is at least a gesture towards a more inclusive character creator. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite have used similar language.

As spotted by Wowhead, datamining strings reveal possible pronoun selection options, including “she/her,” “he/him,” and “they/them.” How exactly this choice will be presented or whether it will be implemented has yet to be seen. As Wowhead’s report notes, WoW often avoids using player pronouns directly, using gender neutral titles like “hero” or “champion” instead. Gender and pronouns go unmentioned in most player UI elements. However, the change would line up with a stated goal of additional character customization options, as well as the possibility for changing a player character’s voice, also an increasingly common option in character creators. With that context, these are basic, but welcome, additions allowing for wider gender expression.

Wordle at one point earlier this year dominated the internet and filled your Twitter feeds with colorful squares. And while today it’s not nearly the cultural phenomenon it once was, it’s still very popular, and to capitalize on that, Hasbro is creating a board game based on Wordle that will be out later this year.

Better late than never? You wouldn’t think it would take this long to see a crossover of the Pokemon Trading Card Game and its massively popular mobile counterpart, Pokemon GO. Still, the special summer set is anticipated by many. So what’s it all about? Let’s get into it.

A primer

Like last holiday’s Celebrations set, the Pokemon GO expansion is a special promotional one, largely releasing in special box sets with pins and other extras. There’s also an Elite Trainer Box, though, which is the closest you can come to just getting a stack of booster packs.

It’s themed around the mobile game, so that means a few things. There are appearances from that game’s characters and special items! Creature art sometimes uses real-world visuals! It’s understandably focused on the original Kanto creatures and the fever pitch surrounding the game’s initial launch. Still, it’s not exclusively so, mixing in some iconic Pokemon from later generations that have made their presence known in GO.

What makes the set special?

The selection of Trainer cards in the set largely tries to bring the concepts of GO to card form. Lure Module, for example, does what you think: gets both players more Pokemon. PokeStop, on the other hand, is a Stadium card that lets players essentially spin for Items each turn.

Following the unfulfilling story of Sonic Forces in 2017, many were concerned about the direction of future narratives. When Sonic Frontiers was first announced, fans were happy to learn that longtime Sonic the Hedgehog comics writer Ian Flynn joined Sonic Team in writing the game. Flynn has been a prominent writer across both the long-running Archie Comics and IDW Publishing runs of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, with hundreds of credits to his name. However, joining Sonic Team for a mainline entry is new territory.

"Ian has been working as a comic writer for a long time, so I was very familiar with his work, but after reading the IDW comics, I was even more impressed with his talent," Sonic Team creative officer Takashi Iizuka says. "That's why I wanted to ask him to work on the story for the game as well. He knows the characters well, so he brought a great improvement to the characters' emotions and dialogue."
