How to Get All Characters in Apex Legends Mobile

To unlock all Legends, first, you’ll need to level up. this can be done just like in the other version of the game — by playing any and all game modes to earn experience points that go towards your overall player level.

Dying Light 2 Interview: Lead Designer Talks Five Year Road Map, Player Feedback, & More

1 year 11 months ago

After years of development and delays, Dying Light 2 Stay Human was finally released for consoles and PC in December 2022. Since then, the game has seen plenty of success, having been critically well-received, and recently passing the milestone of 5 million global sales.

To celebrate that achievement, Techland Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektała joined us to discuss the post-launch journey ahead of Dying Light 2 Stay Human and the plans they have in store for the next five years.

Twinfinite features editor Andrew McMahon: What are the difficulties of trying to play a five-year road map? How hard is it to keep things fresh?

Tymon Smektala: It’s a huge bet on our side, but I think we approach it quite reasonably. We defined the ultimate goal. We have quite a solid idea of where we want Dying Light 2 Stay Human to be in those five years, how we envision the game in the future, partly based on our experiences with the first one, partly on some new areas we’d like to explore more. Take a look at where DL1 is after those seven years of support; see how the game changed.

For Dying Light 2 Stay Human we plan something similar, but more organized and structured, and obviously taking things further. But of course, it’s very hard to plan for five years ahead, so we have a very detailed plan for the first year, and we think in broader terms when it comes to later content. We also defined milestones at which we’ll look at the current situation to verify if we need to make any changes, and correct the course as they say.

Is There Controller Support in Apex Legends Mobile?

1 year 11 months ago

Not everyone who plays mobile games actually wants to use the touchscreen to perform actions in-game. Sometimes, a controller just feels right. So, here’s what you need to know about whether or not there’s controller support in Apex Legends Mobile.

Does Apex Legends Mobile Have Controller Support?

The short answer is no, the game does not currently feature controller support. The longer answer is that yes, it’s being worked on and will be added to the game post-launch.

During a preview event earlier this month, Respawn explained that controller support was planned for launch but the developer needed more time to work on it. With that said, they also stated that it’ll be coming “in the near future.”

For now, players will still be able to adjust their screen control layout and customize where the on-screen inputs appear if the default settings aren’t to their liking.

That’s everything you need to know about whether or not Apex Legends Mobile has controller support. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more tips, tricks, and other useful info on Apex Legends, including info on the new Legend Fade’s abilities, changes in Season 13: Saviors, and more. We even have a review of the game if you’re stuck debating downloading and playing it.

New Season of Black Mirror Reportedly in Development at Netflix

1 year 11 months ago

It looks as if Charlie Brooker’s critically acclaimed techno-thriller anthology series is set to receive its sixth season, according to a recent report. That’s right, Netflix appears to have given the greenlight for more Black Mirror, and it’s allegedly currently in pre-production.

The news comes by way of a new report from Variety, which relays word that “While details about specific stories are being kept under lock and key, [….] Season 6 will have more episodes than Season 5.” In addition, the new series will be “even more cinematic in scope, with each instalment being treated like an individual film.”

It’s worth noting that Season 1, 2, and 5 of the dark sci-fi thriller series all featured just three episodes, while Season 3 and 4 boasted six episodes. If we were to speculate, then, the upcoming sixth season will likely comprise six episodes in total, much like the third and fourth seasons.

The last season of Black Mirror debuted back in June, 2019 — almost three years ago. With how well the show has gone down with both critics and audiences alike, the notion of a new season was more a matter of when, not if. Today, though, it sounds like the wheels are now in motion for a sixth season of Black Mirror to come to fruition. Good news, no?

Genshin Impact Reveals New Character Shikanoin Heizou

1 year 11 months ago

Today Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse revealed a new character for its popular online action RPG Genshin Impact.

The new character is named Shikanoin Heizou. He’s defined as “Analytical Harmony” and described as a “Detective of the Tenryou Commission”.

We also hear from Kamisato Ayato about him:

“Doushin Shikanoin has admirable wit and insight. While he is unfettered and unrestrained in demeanor, one should not dismiss his talents. The Tenryou Commission is incredibly fortunate to have such a man in their ranks.”

This announcement is perhaps surprising because new characters are usually revealed after an update goes live, but HoYoverse has suspended updates due to the ongoing lockdowns in China.

At the moment, there are two more pending characters that have been revealed for 2.7, Yelan & Kuki Shinobu, so unless HoYoverse condenses the updates, it’s likely Shikanoin Heizou won’t come until 2.8.

Can You Play Evil Dead The Game Offline? Answered

1 year 11 months ago

Saber Interactive’s asymmetric 4v1 survival horror experience Evil Dead: The Game is finally out in the wild, and players are having fun playing online with friends, upgrading their characters, and just generally trying to survive from the onslaught of blood-sucking demons. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering: can you play Evil Dead: The Game offline? Worry not, as here’s everything you need to know.

Can You Play Evil Dead The Game Offline? Answered

The answer to this is a slightly complex one. On one hand, no, you cannot play the majority of Evil Dead: The Game offline as the title is primarily a multiplayer-centric experience that pits four players against one human-controlled demon. In other words, you’ll need a constant internet connection to be able to play the bulk of the game as the developer intended.

On the other hand, though, there are some single-player missions that you can play offline.

How Much It Costs to Buy Every Game on Game Pass

1 year 11 months ago

Xbox’s Game Pass service is often heralded as one of the “biggest deals in all of gaming,” and, to be frank, it’s easy to see why. With over 400 top-notch video games at your fingertips, and brand-new titles launching day and date on the service regularly, Game Pass is undoubtedly a treasure trove of marvelous gaming experiences awaiting to be unearthed.

But don’t just take our word for it. Indeed, we’ve done the legwork and spent a ton of time crunching the numbers to bring you the definitive price list of all the titles on Game Pass. So, if you’ve ever wondered how much it costs to buy every game on Game Pass, we’ve got you 100% covered.

Before we get into the nitty gritty stuff, though, we’d like to outline the basic methodology that we used. Really, there are a number of ways of calculating the cost of all the games on Microsoft’s Neflix-like subscription service. Do you go by the price of the physical or digital versions? What if the game is in a limited time sale? What about the free-to-play titles?

Well, to answer those specific questions, we’ve opted for the cost of buying each game digitally from the Xbox store front. However, if the game is in a sale, we’ve decided to go with the full price of the game just to keep things uniform. As for free-to-play games, we’ve included them for the price of, well… free.

In addition, some games — which are noted on the table — are no longer available on the Xbox Store digitally anymore. As a result, to figure out the prices for these specific titles, we’ve gone by the price of a digital code of the game from CDKeys.

How Old Is Brock in Pokemon?

1 year 11 months ago

Misty and Brock still remain Ash Ketchum’s longest-running travel partners/friends in Pokémon. Ash met Brock at Pewter City, who also happened to be the city’s Gym Leader at that time and later went on to travel with Misty and Ash leaving his duties after his father returned from his own journey. But how old is Brock in Pokemon?

Since the show never really delved deep into Brock’s past, many are left wondering what the Rock-type gym leader was like. While the Pokémon show did an amazing job in fleshing out the character, we didn’t get to see Brock truly realizing his dreams of becoming a Pokémon Doctor. But at what age did Brock have these aspirations?

How Old Is Brock in Pokemon?

Unlike Ash and Misty, Brock is a fair bit older than his travel buddies. Brock is 15 in Pokemon when he first appeared and carries a fair bit of extra experience than Ash and Misty. His age might also be the reason why he was so drawn to almost every woman he encountered on his travels since he was at that age when you start to pay more attention to potential romantic partners.

Despite Brock leaving Ash at the end of their journey in Johto to help his father at home, Brock returned to join Ash through Hoenn, along with their new friends May and Max, and then again through Kanto.

He left for a short amount of time when Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire ended to visit his home but quickly rejoined to travel with Ash and Dawn in Sinnoh. Near the end of the Sinnoh saga, Brock started to develop an interest in becoming a Pokémon Doctor, and so, he decided to stay back in Kanto to study, rather than following Ash to Unova.

What Does the Ending of Cowboy Bebop Mean?

1 year 11 months ago

The illustrious Cowboy Bebop series is one of the first mature animated shows to reach the West. The neo-noir science-fiction television show was fun to watch for its action scenes, enigmatic characters, and episodic side adventures, but it also drizzled insightful lines throughout about the hardships of living life.

“You’re gonna carry that weight” is one of them, placed at the ending as the curtains seemingly close on the bleeding-out daredevil Spike Spiegel. Because of the ambiguous close on the show, fans are still asking this one question for nearly 24 years: what does the ending of Cowboy Bebop mean? We’ll answer that by diving into what the line meant and guiding you through the fate of Spike Spiegel.

What Does the Ending Line in Cowboy Bebop Mean?

Confronting trauma is a big focus in Cowboy Bebop. As viewers follow a band of misfits with their problems, their flaws become clear from their pasts, and they eventually have to come to terms with them whether they want to or not. Cowboy Bebop is known for bringing closure to those episodic character stories, but its poster boy, Spike Spiegel, has avoided those moments until the end.

The line, “you’re gonna carry that weight,” contextualizes that Spike isn’t outrunning his past anymore and has come to terms with it, yet only at death’s door does it finally sink in for him. Another layer about the meaning of the line is a bit meta but reminds the viewer that whatever trauma you carry will stay with you, and you’ll always carry its significance to who you are today.

Girls’ Frontline 2 Gets New Cinematic Trailer & Videos Showing Gameplay, Combat, Waifus, & More

MICA Team shared new videos of the sequel of its popular mobile game Girls’ Frontline, titled Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium.

We get to see a new cinematic trailer, a preview of the characters showcasing the improvement of art and animations from the previous game, a new gameplay demo, a combat gameplay video, and a preview of the new lounge.

Unfortunately, the videos were posted on Tap Tap, so you’ll have to click through each link, since there is no way to embed them here.

During the same event, we got a reveal about Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, which is also set in the Girls’ Frontline universe.

The story is set in 2070 after the security contractor Grifon has been dismantled by the government because its power had become dangerous.

The graphics of the new game are completely different compared with its predecessor, and certainly rather impressive for a mobile game.

The original Girls’ Frontline, also known as Dolls’ Frontline in Japan (where it’s particularly popular) is a free-to-play strategy-RPG for iOS and Android originally released in China in 2016, and then localized in various languages including English between 2017 and 2018.

Third-party developers provided updates about their existing and upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start with PMDG, which teased the first previews of their upcoming Boeing 777 “Soon™”. You can take that “TM” as you wish.

On the other hand, the developer has mentioned its plan for updating the popular Boeing 737-700 that was released last week.

The aircraft should get the first update late this week with mostly small items, with bigger ones coming in subsequent updates.

For those who are new to PMDG: We have a very aggressive method of collecting, categorizing, researching and tracking issues that get reported to us. You will find that once we get through the initial cloud of release week, we tend to push updates that will contain anywhere from 25-200 ranging from major corrections/changes to tiny, inconsequential obscuria that we noticed along the way. We expect to be pushing updates out for the 737-700 at a weekly pace initially so if you have run into something that is creating problems for you- there is a good chance it will get swept up into an update soon enough.

We have a couple of major research efforts underway that we want to tell you about also:

The name may not ring a bell, because it has been released for PC via Steam in 2018 simply as “The Vagrant.” Incidentally, if you don’t care for the console version, it’s currently on sale for $1.19 on Steam, which is an absolute steal.

Incidentally, if you look at the game’s trailer below, you’ll be forgiven if you think this is a Vanillaware game. The similarities are certainly very evident.

Evil Dead the Game Fear Meter Explained: What it Does, How to Decrease

Developed by Saber Interactive, Evil Dead: The Game is finally available on PC and consoles. The game’s 4v1 multiplayer mode serves as the meat and potatoes of the experience, and tasks players with working together to try to defeat the Kandarian Demon, who has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. Here’s a breakdown of how the Fear system works in Evil Dead: The Game and how you can prepare for it.

Evil Dead the Game Fear Meter Explained

At the bottom left corner of the screen, you’ll noticed a colored bar just below your character’s HP bar. This indicates your Fear meter, and it’ll slowly increase over time when you’re in a match.

Once it passes the 75% threshold, the game will inform you that your Fear level is too high, and that you’re in danger of getting possessed. Needless to say, this is a very bad thing, and you should keep an eye on it at all times to make sure you don’t put yourself at risk.

What Causes Fear to Rise?

As mentioned before, the meter will increase very gradually, but there are a few key things that will cause it to rise even faster. We’ve listed them below:

  • Traveling alone
  • Traveling in the dark

These are the two main factors that will cause your Fear meter to increase at an alarming rate. The survivors in Evil Dead: The Game will become terrified if they’re not surrounded by allies, and exploring the maps without any reliable light source will also cause them to panic.

Microsoft Flight Simulator Fenix Airbus A320 Price & Details Announced; it’s “At the End of Beta”

Today Fenix Simulations announced that its upcoming Airbus A320 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is at the end of its beta test, and shared pricing and plenty of details.

First and foremost, we learn that the price will be £49.99, which translates as approximately $60, and it’s another step downward from usual advanced simulation pricing standards. On top of that, this price won’t be influenced by local VAT or taxes. It’s exactly what you’ll pay for the aircraft.

Project Leader Aamir Thacker has also shared plenty of details in a sizable blog post on the official website of the developer, mentioning that the A320 is “now at the end of its beta phase,” albeit no release date was shared just yet, but it appears to be close.

The aircraft will have a fully-detailed cabin, and it’ll include 181 livery variations at launch, each of which will be available both in 8K and 4K resolution so that you can adapt them to your hardware needs.

A full-featured Electronic Flight Bag tablet, Simbrief integration, and even analog instrumentation with its own specific sound set will be included.

Below you can check out a video of the caging of the attitude indicator, alongside plenty of additional screenshots.

Valkyria Chronicles Returns in Langrisser Mobile Crossover Featuring Selvaria, Alicia, & Isara

While the Valkyria Chronicles franchise has been somewhat dormant for four years, it certainly hasn’t been forgotten.

A new crossover has just been announced bringing the characters of Sega’s popular tactical JRPG franchise to another world, that of Langrisser mobile.

Specifically, it appears that the crossover will feature Selvaria, Alicia, and Isara from the original Valkyria Chronicles game, who will be available in the mobile game published by Zlongame, with the event starting on May 19.

You can check out the trailer below to see what they look like in the character design of Langrisser Mobile.

If you’re not familiar with Langrisser Mobile, it’s a mobile (duh) strategy RPG featuring the old and glorious Langrisser series, which some may know as Warsong in the west, due to the localization of the Sega Genesis original.

The Valkyria Chronicles series debuted in 2008 on PS3, and culminated with Valkyria Chronicles 4 in 2018.
