Run VGC Service

VGC is a service used by Riot Games for the game’s anti-cheat called Vanguard, which is responsible for detecting cheaters in the game. Here are the steps to fix this issue:

• Open Task Manager and end-all of the Valorant, Riot, and Vanguard processes.

• In the General tab, set the startup selection to Normal Startup.

Just like previous collaboration events, there will be bingo boards available for the Vision Card, as well as Tidus, Yuna, and Auron, allowing players to rack up a large amount of shards quickly.

Today Atlus released one of its daily trailers of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on the elements of the game.

Today’s trailer returns to the small ramen stall in Karakucho, featuring a dish called “Inspirational Hiyashi Chuuka.” If you’re wondering, Hiyashi Chuuka is cold ramen usually served in the summer, which I personally find terrible, but many swear by it.

The trailer also includes the traditional daily horoscope, with Taurus at the top of the fortune ranking and Aries at the bottom.

Soul Hackers 2 releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.

Popular Japanese convenience store chain Family Mart announced a treat tied with Nintendo’s Pokemon Café ReMix game.

The game for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, which according to the press release has been downloaded 12 million times, will be getting its own milkshakes which will be made available starting on June 21 and until July 18.

They will be called Pikachu Pinefrappé and as the name suggests no Pikachu is actually getting blended. They’re pineapple-flavored. The price for each will be 320 yen including tax, which translates approximately into $2.37.

They’re a variation of FamilyMart’s milkshakes made by their coffee machines and will be available in approximately 16,600 convenience stores nationwide.

They feature a thick texture with golden pineapple chunks for a sweet and sour refreshing taste. Three cups featuring Pikachu in different designs complete the deal.

On top of that, by purchasing products included in the campaign you can get Pokemon Café ReMix coasters and memo pads.

Last, but not least, you can also win tickets for the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 in Sapporo, Japan.

Third-party developers shared interesting assets about upcoming airport add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Developer Coffee Addict Studio and publisher Neon Doctrine announced a release date for their adventure game Hazel Sky.

The game won’t make it for June which was the release window announced back in May, but the wait is almost over anyway, with the release date set on July 20 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Hazel Sky is an adventure game telling the story of Shane, hailing from the flying city of Gideon, a place where engineers are respected and artists are despised. He must go to an island and pass a trial in order to become a full-fledged engineer. Otherwise, he will be banished.

Yet, there he will enter contact via radio with Erin, a fellow trainee, and the two will become friends against the rules. This will change Shane’s perspective on the trials themselves, and possibly his destiny.

During the game he will repair and fly an assortment of flying machines, discover the fate of those who failed the trails, and explore a gorgeous world full of hidden truths and secrets.

Bandai Namco released a ton of screenshots, art, and detail of its upcoming action game SD Gundam Battle Alliance.

We get to take a look at the story, which is formed by “Break Missions” that change the history of the Gundam universe and “True Missions,” which follow and restore it.

Nihon Falcom announced that a life-sized statue has been sculpted to celebrate the upcoming release of the JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin.

The statue portrays Grendel, the transformed form of protagonist Van Arkride, and it’s over two meters tall.

Loyalty is an enchantment that became available with the Aquatic Update and it can be added to any trident in the game. When you enchant a trident with Loyalty, your trident will automatically return to you after you throw it.

Basically, when you throw a trident enchanted with Loyalty, after it lands on its target, it will return to your hand.

Now that we know what Loyalty does, let’s talk about how to get it.

How to Get It

To get this enchantment, you first need to make an Enchanted Book. To do this, you’ll need a book and Lapis Lazuli.

With those in hand, open the Enchant menu and place the book in the first section. Then, place three Lapis Lazuli in the other sections. This will craft an Enchantment Book and now you can enchant tridents with Loyalty.

To do that, head to an enchanting table or anvil. Open the menu and place the trident down. Use your Enchantment Book to find Loyalty and select that. Enchant the trident and you’ll be all set.

Long-running MMORPG Tera will be closing on June 30 and Gameforge and Krafton have published a video that serves as a farewell to the players.

The video is actually the recording of an in-game quest that has been implemented to say goodbye before the closure, portraying exactly that, relevant NPCs and even gods extending the player a fond and moving farewell.

Soul Hackers 2 releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.

The release of Monster Hunter Rise’s large expansion Sunbreak is coming close and Capcom is ramping up promotion in Japan.

The developer is airing a series of TV commercials starring popular local actor Yuki Yamada, made famous by his debut role in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and then star of many shows and films including High & Low and Tokyo Revengers.

The commercials also feature comedian ZAZY, and they’re wacky.

They’re set in a filming set where Yamada-san is so excited to play Sunbreak that he shouts the names of various monsters. Yet, when ZAZY appears in his iconic pink costume with wings, Yamada-san is reminded of Malzeno and more shouting ensues.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, Malzeno is the new Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

On top of these two commercials, we also get a making-of video, and two more ads that are more traditional, showing gameplay and cutscenes.

Square Enix has revealed a bunch of new Final Fantasy VII Remake figures that are going to be released as part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.

We start with a new figure portraying Cloud from the Statics Arts brand, which means that it’s not an action figure and it’s sculpted in a static pose.

It’s priced at 19,580 yen which translates roughly into $145 and it’ll be released on July 29, 2023.

Developer ArtPlay and publisher 505 Games have pulled back the curtain on the new content headed to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The June 2022 Development Roadmap showcases all of the game’s completed post-launch content in addition to updates that are still on the way.

Fans of the side-scrolling RPG can expect a brand new in-game area that serves as a crossover with a non-Bloodstained franchise to find its way to the title in summer 2022. Fall 2022 will see the addition of both Chaos and VS Modes, which will be Bloodstained’s first game modes to feature local/online co-op and player versus player elements, respectively. Finally, the game will be getting new outfits for Miriam and a second version of Classic Mode come winter 2022, although it’s important to note that Classic Mode 2 and some of these outfits are described as premium and will require a purchase.

Third-party developers have shared new assets and released a new addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We get to take a new look at the Embraer KC-390 Millennium by Radar FS Designs, showcasing the liveries of the Dutch and Hungarian Air forces which we had not seen before.

We also get a new video.

Compile Heart revealed more characters and songs that will be included in its JRPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord.

We get to see Evefleed, Sui, Rinne, Lenne, OK, Harler, Bahas, Gald, Marisa, Effole, Karin, Shalman, & Ryushin.

Two more songs have been revealed: the first, performed by Fleur, is “Hiken no Kioku” which translates as “Memory of the Secret Key.” The second, performed by the rival diva Glace, is “Kyou Hi Sengetsu” which translates as “Crescent Moon.”

Incidentally, we hear that Fleur and Glace will have several singing voices depending on the song, performed by popular singers, six each.

Sea of Stars developer Sabotage Studio released another of its usual weekly clips of its upcoming RPG.

The video is rather brief as usual, and it showcases another of the areas that we’ll travel in the game, named “The moorlands.”

These Barricades can also act as cover for the team that is pushing, but they don’t appear to be the Torb turret and Bastion nest that the payloads from the original game are.

Today Atlus released one of its daily trailers of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on the demons that will appear in the game.

Soul Hackers 2 releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.

Today third-party developers had a lot of juicy reveals and releases of Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, including aircraft and airports.

We start with DC Designs, who provided a development update and work-in-progress screenshots of the AV-8B Harrier II and F-4J Phantom II.

“This week I have been working hard on both the AV-8B Harrier II and the F-4 Phantom packages. In one of life’s great ironies, just as Jack and I had agreed upon the ideal method of recreating VSTOL in MSFS for the Harrier, Asobo release the un-announced “Halo” Pelican with its own VTOL system. We checked this out and, while it’s an easy way of creating VTOL, it’s still far too much like slewing, which isn’t flying or proper hovering.

We’re currently doing some tests with our own ideas while also examining the Pelican’s flight model, so that we can come up with something better and more realistic for the Harrier.

In a cool twist, when animating the Harrier’s nozzles, I found that engine heat haze effects and Karl Derner’s awesome smoke trails nicely follow the movement of the nozzles, making the airplane look even better as it transitions from hovering to forward flight. Work continues rapidly on the Harrier as I build up the detail on the exterior model. There is much that remains to be done but it’s coming along really well.

Bandai Namco released another character trailer of its upcoming fighting game JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R.

The video shows off Mariah and her magnetic stand. And yes, she does have that ability even in the game.

Today Square Enix announced that the next Letter from the Producer Live broadcast will be aired on July 1 at 4:00 am PDT, 7:00 am EDT, noon BST, or 1:00 pm CEST, depending on where you live. It’ll be the 71th of the game’s over eleven years of history.

The broadcast will include the first reveal of the next major update, numbered 6.2.

We’re likely going to hear the update’s title and possibly a tentative release window (the release date is usually announced in a second broadcast), on top of some of the features we can expect from the update.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see what Square Enix is going to bring to the table over the next few months, especially considering the growing success that has become basically meteoric as of late.

Final Fantasy XIV has become the most profitable game in the Final Fantasy franchise, and the publisher’s own CEO Yosuke Matsuda mentioned that Square Enix is “extremely pleased” by its performance with paying subscribers consistently growing since before the release of the latest expansion. Further success is expected during the current fiscal year which will end in March 2023.

With no E3 again this year, the companies behind the games, and even a few gaming sites, took it upon themselves to give fans almost an entire month of gaming showcases. Each of these events featured plenty of exciting news, trailers, and world premiers, providing a lot of excitement, joy, and intrigue as a result.

Look, I love Devolver Digital as much as the next guy, but this presentation was the one that jumped the shark. Across the 25-minute showcase, they only showed off four games, two of which we’ve already seen stuff from (Cult of the Lamb & Skate Story) and one of which was about kicking people with an angry foot. 

Today Riot Games released a new trailer revealing a new champion coming to its popular MOBA game League of Legends.

The new champion is named Nilah, and she wields what appears to be an energy whip. She definitely has a spring in her stride, and joy appears to be her theme. The trailer itself is titled “The Joy Unbound.”

The trailer shows both a cutscene in which she prepares to fight a massive monster, and gameplay in which she does short work of fellow champions in League of Legends’ lanes.

At the moment, Riot Games has not revealed when Nilah will be added to its popular MOBA so we’ll have to wait for that information.

If you’re interested in League of Legends, Riot Games has recently announced a deal with Microsoft to offer all of the game’s champions unlocked via Xbox Game Pass. It’s worth mentioning that this doesn’t mean that the veteran MOBA is coming to Xbox, but the deal will simply be available on the PC version.
