A new update is now available for Dead Cells that gives players more options to tweak their runs to their liking alongside an Assist Mode on PC and all consoles, developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin announced today.

The studios said they worked closely with the Ablegamers organization and various Dead Cells community members to design and test these new settings in the Breaking Barriers update . The developers have wanted to expand accessibility in the game since last January, and even previewed some of the new options in our interview last April.

“The intent of this update is to allow players who struggle to, or cannot play, Dead Cells to be able to experience the game as we intended,” said an Evil Empire spokesperson in a statement. “We had feedback during beta testing that some people who don’t ‘need’ Assist Mode will use it regardless and the result is that they won’t play Dead Cells as a challenging roguelike. We’ve put multiple messages regarding this in-game, but in the end it’s up to the player how they want to enjoy the game.”

After years of fan speculation and plenty of YouTube conspiracy theory videos, the best evidence that Michael Jackson worked on the Sonic 3 soundtrack was tweeted by the game’s producer earlier today.

Yuji Naka took to Twitter talking about how some songs in the Sonic Origins‘ version of Sonic 3 featured different music. While notable to dedicated fans of Sonic, simply changing tracks from the original game is not a major development to people who don’t even know what color Sonic’s arms are.

However, what came next is the best evidence of what could be considered a bit more of a bombshell. It’s the first official acknowledgment from a source as big as Naka that Jackson was involved in creating the Sonic 3 soundtrack. However, in a somewhat roundabout way, it seems like Naka is insinuating Jackson wrote music for the game without directly saying it. You can find Naka’s Tweet down below.

The mention of SEGA Official is in reference to a recent TikTok (See in Naka’s Tweet below) released by the company. He seemed surprised that they would use Jackson’s music in a video like this but then remove what is reportedly his compositions in this re-release of Sonic 3.

Today Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio announced the release date of their upcoming stealth action-adventure game A Plague Tale: Requiem.

The game will launch on October 18, 2022, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version will run via cloud streaming.

We also get to enjoy an extended gameplay trailer in which Amicia and Hugo find themselves in a very sticky situation, having to escape pursuing soldiers through a quarry.

They have to use stealth and Hugo’s powers to avoid the enemies, while those who cannot be avoided get to be killed with rather gruesome executions or straight combat.

At the end, it’s Hugo’s powers that get them out of trouble, but apparently out of the frying pan and straight into the fire.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the sequel of A Plague Tale: Innocence, which was released in 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and then in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

A Plague Tale: Requiem Relese Date

Originally slated for a release window of 2022, we now know that A Plague Tale: Requiem will arrive on Oct.18, 2022. The reveal came during a special focus showcase for the game, which also showed off some impressive extended gameplay footage.

The story will pick up after the events of the first game, as the sequel once again follows Amicia and her brother Hugo, as they do whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world. A Plague Tale: Requiem will pit these two siblings against rats and humans alike, forcing them to strike from the shadows or unleash hell with a variety of weapons, tools, and unearthly powers.

Today Square Enix finally released a new trailer of its upcoming FullMetal Alchemist mobile game.

This time around, the trailer focuses on cutscenes, which are made in 3D but stick rather closely to the style of the anime.

We see protagonists Edward and Alphonse Elric, but some of the cutscenes also feature other familiar characters from the manga and anime.

The game, which is simply named “Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile,” will be released in summer 2022. We recently learned that pre-registrations passed 500,000.

Many may have guessed this, but when Overwatch 2 releases, the original Overwatch will go the way of the dodo.

This was confirmed by game director Aaron Keller during an AMA on Reddit, clarifying that Overwatch 2 will fully replace the current live service.

“We’re using the term Early Access to indicate that this is just the start of many new things coming to the game. We’re launching with new heroes, maps and features, but there are even more of these coming seasonally – every 9 weeks. We recently released a roadmap detailing some of this content, with a new hero coming in Seasons 1 and 2, and a new map in Season 2. Additionally, larger pieces of the game that have always been a part of the vision for OW2 will be released to the game as part of the live service, including the launch of the PvE Campaign next year.

When OW2 launches on Oct 4th it will be a replacement for the current Live Service.”

Hello Games have announced that their massive space game No Man’s Sky will release onto the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 7, 2022. The Nintendo Switch port of the originally PlayStation 4 exclusive was first announced in February during a Nintendo Direct. Though, that original reveal was obviously a little off for the “this summer” estimation.

Another slice of news is that the Nintendo Switch version will be getting a physical release as well as digital. While this is celebrating the Nintendo Switch news, the same announcement mentions that the PlayStation 5 version will also be getting a physical release.

To accompany this release date and physical release news, Hello Games also shared a new trailer of the game for the Switch fans.

The Nintendo Switch edition of No Man’s Sky will include every single content update that the game has received since its original release in August 2016.

Lightsabers can be found at the Darth Vader landing spots, the location of which is revealed by following the Sith Lord’s ship as it flies past the Battle Bus at the start of the match.

However, given how much effort it is to get a Lightsaber given you’ll need to kill Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers to get it, we’d recommend just using your harvesting tool/ pickaxe to complete the challenge instead.

The Runaway Boulders themselves are found at the top of hills and mountains scattered around the Fortnite map. They’re large rocks, sitting on a bed of smaller rocks that are keeping them in place.

To dislodge or destroy one, simply get your harvester or Lightsaber out and attack the boulder or the rocks surrounding the bottom of it.

How to Dive and Swim in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Ubisoft’s biggest series is finally back with Assassin’s Creed Origins, giving players an expansive version of Ancient Egypt to explore. While making your way through Bayek’s journey there’ll be plenty to discover and experience. Of course, while traveling through Egypt you’ll need to use a few different ways to traverse the landscape like riding on horseback, using chariots, and swimming. Here’s what you need to know to dive and swim in the game.

To swim, all you need to do is jump in the water, and move Bayek along whichever direction you choose with the left analog stick. To dive, once you’re in the water just hit RB or R1 to dive underneath. After that just keep holding RB or R1 to keep swimming down/forward, or hold X (or A) to swim up and reach air. There’s plenty to explore in Assassin’s Creed Origins, so make sure to explore everywhere you can underwater as well as on land.

This all culminates in her seeing an unhealthy amount of people, well, smiling… constantly. Pretty unsettling, right? Oh, and it looks like that some sort of mysterious smiling monster may perhaps be stalking her. Think along the lines of The Ring, but with way more grinning. *shivers*

If you’re wondering whether Earth is part of the Star Wars canon, here’s what you need to know. There are many planets in a galaxy far, far away that Star Wars fans are intimately aware of: Tatooine, Coruscant, and the forest moon of Endor are just a few examples.

But what about Earth?

After all, the humans in Star Wars are identical to those on Earth, with no distinguishing features that greatly set them apart as a species. This might lead one to assume that they originated from our Earth, or at least a planet very similar to it. Let’s get into it.

Is Earth Part of Star Wars Canon?

Unfortunately, the answer to this question isn’t as clear-cut as one might expect. Earth was canon in Star Wars prior to Lucasfilm’s discontinuation of the Expanded Universe in 2014, but is now only potentially canon.

Earth used to be canon by way of the Star Tours Travel Agency, the in-universe company that conducted the previously canonical Star Tours rides found in Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disneyland Paris. One could argue it’s a bit of a technicality, but the Star Tours Travel Agency specifically exited from Earth before traveling via hyperspace through many Star Wars locations and then returning its passengers back where they started. The existence of the ride meant that Earth was canon in Star Wars up until the Expanded Universe was decanonized in 2014.

As of 2022, the reason Earth might still be canon is due to the inclusion of a planet simply called “Earth” in the Chinese web-novel titled The Vow of Silver Dawn. The novel was explicitly deemed canon by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Earth, which is the capital of the Heaven System, features prominently across the novel’s 300+ chapters.

Pokemon: Hisuian Snow is just one of the many brilliant series of animated shorts that the Pokemon Company has released on YouTube, and the final episode is available to watch now. Publisher aNCHOR finally announced the release date of the localization of the visual novel Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse, now titled Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse Remastered.

The game will release for PC via Steam on July 20 (pacific time, it’ll be July 21 in Europe).

For the first time in the franchise’s history, there will be a custom soundtrack accompanying players when they are in between races. “Charli XCX, Meduza, Diplo, Jacknife & The Bloody Beetroots, and BRUX ft Kimbra headline a heart-racing soundtrack comprised of 33 global artists who pioneer the electric dance genre, reflecting cultures from the Miami beaches to the narrow streets of Monaco,” the press release stated.

For Steve Schnur, President of Music at Electronic Arts, the official soundtrack is meant to help enhance the excitement when it comes to racing for players.

“We wanted the very first EA SPORTS F1 soundtrack to heighten the rush players can experience from the pinnacle of motorsports. The 33 artists from 13 nations represent the defining talents of Electronic music, reflect the new era of Formula 1, and deliver a soundtrack that accelerates through the curves via the diversity, velocity and unpredictability of unrivalled collaborations.”

Like many 90s kids, TMNT: Turtles In Time was a pretty beloved game for me.
