Is Rings of Power’s Mithril Origin Reveal Canon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

The fifth episode of Amazon’s Rings of Power series contained a massive lore revelation surrounding the origin of mithril, the precious and highly coveted ore of the dwarves. Given that Rings of Power is specifically an adaptation of the appendices of the Lord of the Rings novels, certain story beats such as this one beg the question of canonicity: is the origin of mithril in Rings of Power canon? Read on to find out.

Is Rings of Power’s Mithril Origin Reveal Canon?

The short answer here is no, mithril’s origin in the Rings of the Power is not based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s work and is entirely unique to the series. In the original novels, mithril is simply a naturally occurring ore that—by the end of the Third Age—is nearly priceless for its rarity.

In the Rings of Power, however, High King Gil-galad reveals to Elrond that mithril may instead be the result of a battle between a pure-hearted elf and a Balrog of Morgoth on either side of a tree high in the Misty Mountains.

The tree was said to hold the last of the Silmarils, powerful jewels originating from before the First Age. As the elf poured his light into the tree to defend it, the Balrog poured his hatred into it in kind. When lightning struck the tree, the struggle caused a power to run from the roots of the tree and deep into the depths of the Misty Mountains, where Khazad-dûm rests, thus creating mithril.

A very important caveat to keep in mind regarding this story is Elrond’s claim that the tale is “regarded by most to be apocryphal,” or questionable in its authenticity. This could mean there’s more than meets the eye regarding the legend.

What Time Do Stores Refresh in Splatoon 3? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Splatoon 3 offers hours of fun just firing off streams of ink in surprisingly intense game modes, both in the campaign and in online multiplayer. You’ll notice though that not everyone will be dressed the same, nor using the same weapon. This is because you can also dress your Inkling in all kinds of outfits and weapons, from hats to shoes. The catalog of clothing changes over time, but what time do stores refresh in Splatoon 3?

Splatoon 3 Store Refresh Times

The stores refresh in Splatoon 3 at 5pm PST / 7pm CT / 8pm EST / 1pm GMT every single day. That simplifies things greatly considering the time never changes; however, keep in mind that changing your Switch’s timezone or clock won’t speed up the process in Splatoon 3. You’ll have to wait just like everyone else.

With that said, the shops aren’t the only place to obtain sweet cosmetic gear; in fact, playing specific game modes can net you exclusive rewards. If that sounds good to you, then by all means join in with your friends or go at it solo in game modes like Salmon Runs.

Outside of Salmon Runs, there’s also SplatNet 3, a component of the Nintendo Switch Online app. It’s a good place to get your hands on items that you may not have seen before.

So, that’s when stores refresh in Splatoon 3. When you aren’t collectiving fabulous clothing, improve your skills in Splatoon by learning how to Squid Roll. Alternatively, if you’re new to Splatoon 3, knowing how to level up fast is invaluable.

Who Is Agent 3 in Splatoon 3? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Splatoon isn’t just about firing ink at other players, there’s a story mode to go along with the interesting world that’s been built, and Splatoon 3 expands on the neon dream. Throughout the game, you’ll come across several familiar faces from the previous entries in the series, along with brand new characters. One great example is Agent 3, who’s identity may seem like a mystery at first. So, who is Agent 3 in Splatoon 3? The answer may surprise you.

Splatoon 3 Agent 3 Identity Explained

If you keep hearing everyone refer to Agent 3, but can never seem to find them, it’s because Agent 3 is you. But wait—how is that possible? Wasn’t there another Agent 3? Well, yes, but that’s where it gets a bit complicated.

The Inkling from Splatoon was originally Agent 3, a new recruit for the Squidbeak Splatoon and also represented the player character. However, during the events of Splatoon 2, they’re missing; it isn’t until the Octo Expansion that Agent 3 becomes a separate character.

Following the events of Splatoon 3, you—the player—become the new Agent 3, and the original Agent 3 becomes the new captain of the Squidbeak Splatoon. So, in that sense, Agent 3 works almost like a title, always getting filled by your newly created character.

Now you know who Agent 3 is in Splatoon 3; it was you all along. It’s a neat and creative way of tying the series together. For more on Splatoon 3, get a look at 7-eleven and Splatoon’s food collaboration in Japan. Afterwards, hop into a game after you’ve learned how to level up fast.

Why Didn’t Daemon Protect the Stepstones in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

When we first get a glimpse of the War of the Stepstones, it doesn’t seem to be going very well for Daemon and company, despite having access to dragons. Craghas Crabfeeder and his ragged band of cutthroats keep slipping into the caves to avoid the dragons altogether. Though Daemon and Corlys are victorious in the end, why didn’t Daemon protect the Stepstones in House of the Dragon? What were those three long years of war meant to accomplish?

Why Daemon Didn’t Protect the Stepstones in House of the Dragon

The reason Daemon didn’t protect the Stepstones in House of the Dragon is simple: it’s difficult to keep control over the islands. On top of that, the Stepstones offer very little in the way of resources, so the longer Daemon and company are there, the more their resources are drained which they express as much when the episode shifts to the War of the Stepstones.

When you boil it down, attempting to seize control of the Stepstones was just a way for Daemon to have some kind of seat considering he vacated Dragonstone; in fact, sooner after becoming King of the Stepstones, Daemon makes a move for Runestone.

Now you know why Daemon didn’t protect the Stepstones in House of the Dragon, revealing that even riding dragons the Stepstones are a tough bunch to handle and his eyes are eventually set on a new goal. For more on House of the Dragon, find out what Alicent’s green dress signifies and why another war may be on the horizon.

What Is the Max Level Cap in Splatoon 3? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Much like previous entries in the franchise, Splatoon 3 features a leveling system that allows you to progress your character and unlock certain content. Previous games, however, had a certain cap on how high of a level a player can reach, and early on, Splatoon 3 seems no different. Here’s what the max level cap in Splatoon 3 is.

Splatoon 3 Max Level Cap

As of the time of this writing, it’s not confirmed what the current level cap is in Splatoon 3. It appears no one has reached the maximum level yet, thus we’re only left with a bit of speculation as to what the cap is.

While the Ammo Knights store lets you unlock weapons up to Level 30, it’s unlikely this is the maximum level one can reach in the game. After all, the original Splatoon had a maximum level cap of 50, while Splatoon 2 had a cap of 99 after a post-launch update. It’s fair to assume 99 would be the maximum again, but as no one has reached the level cap yet, this is nothing more than an educated presumption.

We’ll have more to tell you about Splatoon 3’s level cap as more information becomes available. In the meantime, check out Twinfinite’s guide on how to level up fast in Splatoon 3, and maybe you can be the first to reach that vaunted level cap.

Splatoon 3 Weapon Freshness Explained: How It Works & What It Does

1 year 8 months ago

Splatoon 3 sees the return of Weapon Freshness from Splatoon 2. This familiar progression system offers unique rewards for online players who expect to sink many hours into Nintendo’s newest online shooter. Here’s how Splatoon 3’s Weapon Freshness system works, and what it does for players.

Splatoon 3 Weapon Freshness Explained: How It Works & What It Does

At its core, Splatoon 3‘s Weapon Freshness is a point-based system to showcase a player’s skill ranking with a specific weapon. Each weapon offers its own unique Freshness rating, and players increase that by filling turf within the Turf War and Anarchy Battles modes. As you cover more turf, the Freshness bar increases, and unlike in Splatoon 2, players are awarded a star each time they fill the bar.

Earning five stars maximizes a weapon’s Freshness, with the necessary amount of points scaling depending on what level you’re at. The scale of required points reads as follows:

  • One star: 10,000 points
  • Two stars: 25,000 points
  • Three stars: 60,000 points
  • Four stars: 160,000 points
  • Five stars: 1,160,000 points

Every time you level up, you will also receive some kind of reward. The rewards are as follows:

What Is the Time Jump Between Episodes 5 & 6 in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

We’d already known that House of the Dragon would undergo a major cast change in the middle of the season thanks to a huge time jump, and it’s finally here. If you’re wondering how long the time jump between episodes 5 and 6 of House of the Dragon is, here’s what you need to know.

How Long the Time Jump Between Episodes 5 and 6 Is in House of the Dragon

While the exact timeline isn’t stated, the time jump between episodes 5 and 6 of House of the Dragon is around 10 to 15 years.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Olivia Cooke (who plays Alicent Hightower) talks about how she plays her role as Alicent. She states: “10 years or 15 years on, whenever it is, I think it’s about this power in finding your womanhood.”

This number makes sense as well, as Aegon has grown considerably when we see him in episode 6. He’s already learning to fight alongside his brother and nephews, and Alicent is already trying to prepare him to rule. He looks to be in his early teens, and that would line up with the 10 to 15 year time jump in the series timeline.

That’s all you need to know about what the time jump is between episodes 5 and 6 in House of the Dragon. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more news and information on the series, including whether Joffrey is Laenor’s son, and why Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair.

Why Did Daemon Let Laena Get Burned By Vhagar in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

It’s not a proper House of the Dragon or Game of Thrones episode without someone getting severely injured or killed, and we certainly got plenty of that in the sixth episode of HBO’s new series. Here’s why Daemon let Laena get burned to death by Vhagar the dragon in House of the Dragon.

Why Did Daemon Let Laena Kill Herself in House of the Dragon?

To put things simply, while Daemon may not necessarily have seen Laena as the wife he always wanted or even loved her, he respected her enough to allow her to decide how she wanted to die.

Earlier on in the episode, Laena said that she wanted to die a dragonrider’s death, and not die from giving birth to some rich, fat lord. While her relationship with Daemon is clearly a little strained, he wanted to respect her wishes when he learned that there was no way of saving both her and his unborn child by cutting her open in labor.

This seems to be a rather significant event as well, especially when you consider that Daemon has two daughters, and no male heirs. Viserys had been in a similar position in the first episode, where he opted to sacrifice his wife’s life so that he could have a son to succeed him. While Daemon is certainly ruthless in his own ways, he is not so preoccupied with the idea of having a successor that he would subject Laena to a painful death.

Instead, he allows her to command Vhagar to burn her, as he recognizes that she’d prefer to go out that way instead of dying in childbirth.

How to Complete the Devious Thievery Challenge in Destiny 2

1 year 8 months ago

King’s Fall has been in Destiny 2 for over a month now, and finally, the exclusive encounter challenges are slowly being released each week. This past week, we saw the first of the challenges, The Grass is Always Greener, release for the Totems encounter. Next in line is the Warpriest challenge, the Devious Thievery challenge. So today, let’s discuss how to complete the Devious Thievery challenge in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 King’s Fall Raid: The Devious Thievery (Warpriest) Challenge Guide

To complete the Devious Thievery challenge, players cannot hold the Brand Claimer buff for more than five seconds. This means that after killing the Blightguard Knight and picking up the Brand Claimer buff, you have five seconds to take the Brand of the Initiate from your teammate. It is an extremely difficult challenge that requires precise timing and tight coordination between the players switching the buff, and the rest of the team dealing damage to the Warpriest.

Is Joffrey Laenor’s Son in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

The sixth episode of HBO’s House of the Dragon series introduced a whole bunch of kids and babies into the mix, and it can be tough to keep track of who’s who, and who’s an illegitimate child and who’s not. But we’re here to help you get everything straight. If you’re wondering if Joffrey is Laenor’s son in House of the Dragon, here’s what you need to know.

Who Is Joffrey’s Father in House of the Dragon?

On paper, yes, Joffrey is Laenor’s son in House of the Dragon. However, Laenor is not his biological father. Joffrey’s biological father is Harwin Strong, who’s been having an illicit affair with Rhaenyra for the past 10 years.

This is why all of Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair, even though both Laenor and Rhaenyra have silverish platinum hair. This is also why Alicent asks to see the baby immediately after it’s born, as she wants to determine whether the baby was actually fathered by Laenor himself rather than Harwin. She also makes the comment to Laenor that he should keep trying, and one of his kids will eventually look like him.

While Joffrey might be a bastard, he was also named after Laenor’s boyfriend from the previous episode, who was beaten to death by Criston during their wedding dinner.

That’s all you need to know about whether Joffrey is Laenor’s son in House of the Dragon. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more news and information on the series, including the symbolism of Alicent’s green dress.

Why Do Rhaenyra’s Children Have Dark Hair in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Physical appearances in Game of Thrones and, by extension, House of the Dragon, can be a bit funny. It tends to denote a sign of one’s heritage; for example, the Targaryens are almost always born with platinum hair and violet eyes which are traits shared by their Valyrian ancestors. That brings up an interesting question: why do Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair in House of the Dragon?

Why Rhaenyra’s Children Have Dark Hair in House of the Dragon

Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair in House of the Dragon because their father is Harwin of House Strong, not Laenor Velaryon. Harwin Strong is the son of the King’s Hand, Lyonel Strong.

Furthermore, you can witness an example of what a union between House Targaryen and House Velaryon would be like by examining Daemon and Laena’s children. They have the same Valyrian features, the platinum hair, whereas Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair.

Game of Thrones has explored a similar plot with Cersei Lannister and Robert Baratheon’s children. They weren’t dark haired like Robert, but blonde, which was due to their father actually being Cersei’s brother. In the show, they mention that the “seed was strong.”

Now you fully understand why Rhaenyra’s children have dark hair in House of the Dragon. For more on House of the Dragon, find out why Alicent’s dress was green in episode 5, and if you haven’t caught on yet, read up on why Viserys is dying.

DNF Duel Director Discusses Bug Fixing & Balance Updates, Teases “Something Else”

1 year 8 months ago

Nexon released a new video related to its Dungeon Fighter Online fighting game DNF duel, discussing the future of the game.

Director Ryosuke Kodani apologizes for the bug affecting the game, and mentions that a patch will be launched by the end of September addressing them, including the freezing screens during online matching and the input issues in the Steam version.

The team is also currently looking into more bugs and plans to address them in future updates

An update in late December will tweak the balance, and the developers are leaning toward buffing all characters. Of course, we can expect some to be buffed more than others, or it wouldn’t be a balance update.

While this will take some time, more details will be shared at a later date.

Last, but not least, the development team at Arc System Works is working on “something other than a balance patch.”

Due to “circumstances”, this will take “some time,” but the developers are “confident that it’ll satisfy the players.”

No further details on the nature of this “something else” have been shared, so we’ll have to wait. You can watch the video below.

DNF Duel is currently available for PS5, PS4, and PC.

Why Did Larys Cut Off the Prisoners’ Tongues in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Episode six of House of the Dragon is here, and with it comes a massive time jump of around ten years. Much has happened in between episodes five and six, including the rise of Larys Strong, who has now seemingly become the Queen Consort Alicent’s most trusted confidante. However, there is one scene in particular that may confuse viewers, which has to do with why Larys Strong decided to cut out the tongues of the prisoners. Well, if you have this question, you have come to the right place, as Twinfinite has the answer for you down below.

What Are Larys’ Plans for the Prisoners in House of the Dragon?

In the latter half of House of the Dragon’s sixth episode, we see that Larys Strong has gone to the prisoners who are set to be executed and cut out their tongues. This scene is not as pointlessly cruel as it might appear at first glance though, as there is a huge motive as to why he decided to do this heinous act. But first, we have to look at the scene where we next see the “prisoners.”

We next see the prisoners, under Larys’ directives, murder his brother and father by burning Harrenhal Castle to the ground with them in it. As this is an act of treason, where the former prisoners are effectively murdering the Hand of the King, Larys can’t have these men go and talk about it. What if they got caught?

It is for this reason that Larys made this decision because they have every reason to spill the beans on why they set the fire if they were to be caught. However, with Larys taking their tongues out, he ensures that this cannot happen.

Why Does Rhaenyra Want to Ally With Alicent in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

House of the Dragon has just aired its sixth episode, in which we see that the story has jumped forward ten years. This clearly opens the door to even more confusion in a show that is already rife with complex storylines. However, for those who may be confused, Twinfinite is here to help as this is an explanation for one of the many story developments seen in episode six, which is why Rhaenyra wants to ally with Alicent in House of the Dragon.

Why Rhaenyra Wants to Ally With Alicent in House of the Dragon

During episode six of House of the Dragon, there is a council meeting in which both Rhaenyra and Alicent attend. It is at this very meeting that Rhaenyra proposes a marriage between one of her sons and Alicent’s only daughter.

Long story short, Rhaenyra likely proposes this marriage in order to make at least some peace between herself and the Queen Consort, and she fears that her family could be in danger if the rumors about her affair with Harwin start taking hold in King’s Landing. There is a bit of a war brewing about whether or not Rhaenyra or Alicent’s son should become the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

When proposing this marriage, the dragon princess declares that both of their children shall rule together. This appears to mean that Rhaenyra thinks that getting the two children married would soothe Alicent’s desire to see one of her children on the Iron Throne.

Also, don’t forget that one of the other likely reasons for Rhaenyra to mention something like this is to rebuild some sort of relationship with Alicent, as the two used to be very close friends, a fact that has long since passed.

Did Rhaenyra Cheat on Her Husband Laenor Velaryon in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Westeros is full of people with slightly questionable morals and values, and that applies to the members of royalty as well. We got a few revelations in House of the Dragon’s sixth episode surrounding various offspring, and if you’re wondering whether Rhaenyra cheated on her husband Laenor Velaryon, here’s what you need to know.

Did Rhaenyra Cheat on Laenor Velaryon in House of the Dragon?

Yes, Rhaenyra did indeed cheat on Laenor in House of the Dragon. However, Laenor was very well aware of her cheating, and in the previous episode, we saw that they both had an agreement that they’d allow each other to sleep with whoever they wanted.

Rhaenyra acknowledged that she knew Laenor was gay, and proposed that once they had produced an heir for their respective fathers, they could sleep around as they pleased. So even though Rhaenyra did cheat on him, Laenor isn’t exactly upset about it since he doesn’t even really love her anyway.

Who Did Rhaenyra Cheat With?

That being said, while they do have this agreement in place, things become a bit more complicated when we see that their children look nothing like Laenor. All of their children have dark hair, which is strange considering that both Rhaenyra and Laenor have silverish platinum hair.

This is because Rhaenyra has been having an affair with Harwin Strong, who is the son of Lyonel Strong, the current Hand of the King. This is never explicitly stated in the show, but from the way Harwin talks to Rhaenyra, and how he’s so protective over her kids, plus the little confrontation scene between Harwin and his father, it’s pretty clear that he’s Rhaenyra’s new paramour.

Why Does Criston Hate Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

Things are starting to get a lot uglier in House of the Dragon, and even though a considerable amount of time has passed, the people of Westeros are very good at holding on to pointless grudges. Here’s why Criston hates Rhaenyra so much in House of the Dragon.

Why Criston Hates Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon

Simply put, Criston hates Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon because she refused to give up her name, her birthright and elope with him across the Narrow Sea. In the fifth episode, he claims that he broke his oath as a knight of the Kingsguard by sleeping with her, and he hoped to restore honor to his name by marrying her.

Rhaenyra didn’t want to give up her position in King’s Landing, and so she refused to elope with him even though she still liked him and would’ve been able to continue their affair. Criston takes the breakup pretty hard, which leads to him killing Joffrey at the wedding dinner.

10 to 15 years later, Criston is still holding on to this grudge as he’s seen gossiping with Alicent while they’re walking down the halls, calling Rhaenyra a “spoiled cunt”. He also clearly shows favoritism to Alicent’s children while training them in combat, and encourages Aegon to kick Jace while he’s down.

All of this hatred stems from his belief that Rhaenyra forced him to sully his name, and then refused to run away with him to get married. And all these years later, he’s still hung up on it and hasn’t moved on.

Who Are the White Robed People in Rings of Power? Answered

1 year 8 months ago

In recent episodes of Amazon’s The Rings of Power several characters have been introduced whose true purpose and identity is yet to be seen. The Stranger and just about everything connected to him is a mystery: especially the white robed figures investigating the spot where he fell from the sky. Their appearance in episode 5 raises a number of questions. Here’s everything you need to know about who the white robed people in Rings of Power are.

Who the White Robed People Are in Rings of Power

It’s too early to know the purpose of the white robed figures in the show; however, the names of the figures have been revealed in the credits. Their names are The Nomad, The Ascetic, and The Dweller. Additionally, the executive producer of Rings of Power Lindsey Weber revealed in an interview with Time that these characters come from the far east of Middle Earth.

This area, known as Rhun, was never fully fleshed out by Tolkien, giving Amazon some creative freedom in depicting it. The Lord of the Rings books do reveal that Sauron consolidates his power and builds an army before invading from the east. This means that The Nomad, The Ascetic, and The Dweller have the potential to be dark wizards associated with Sauron. It will be fascinating to see how these white robed figures interact with The Stranger.

Survival comes to Ikea in indie horror game The Store is Closed

1 year 8 months ago

We have all been there. Ikea - the shop that takes you through a convoluted one-way system as you see mock-ups of rooms full of all you could ever need for your own home, and then before you know it you have purchased 100 tealights and a packet of meatballs.

But what if you were to throw a load of zombie-like monsters into this experience, and then proceed to turn out the lights, leaving the exit near impossible to find? Well, one developer has decided to answer that question in its upcoming game: The Store is closed.

The Store is Closed is a haunting mash-up of Endnight Games' The Forest (which incidentally saw its sequel, Sons of the Forest, recently delayed) and the humdrum of everyday life, and comes from indie developer Ziggy (thanks, PCGamesN).

Potion Permit doesn't do anything in a hurry, but maybe that's the point

1 year 8 months ago

Potion Permit doesn't seem to do anything in a hurry, and that's because it's a game that expects you to be with it for a long time to come. It's a life simulation, really, dressed up as a potion making game. You're a chemist sent to a town to brew potions, but here's a house to decorate and machines to renovate, and here are townsfolk whose friendships you'll have to earn before they - and the services they offer - open up. Oh, and they have daily rhythms you'll have to adapt to and work around. Try and catch someone out of hours and they won't want to know: you'll have to wait until morning when they're officially on duty again. It all takes time.

The game unfolds mechanically in a very similar way, introducing new ideas slowly. After a couple of hours' play, I've only seen a few of what I suspect will be many gameplay ideas overall, and most of them mini-games. But the core idea is resource-gathering and crafting.

When you're in the wilds, Potion Permit feels like an old-school action RPG, in that you hit enemies with a button-press and then roll around to dodge their attacks. You don't have to kill enemies - combat doesn't seem to be the point of the game - but you'll be attacked and enemies drop useful ingredients, so why not?

Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 Gets Rollback Netcode on PC

1 year 8 months ago

Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 rollback

Arc System Works had a surprise for Guilty Gear fans over the weekend at the 2022 CEOtaku fighting game event. It announced that rollback will come to the PC edition of Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, and by extension, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-. Tests of the netcode are also planned for October 2022.

Check out the announcement trailer below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTnAGIZRtB4

Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 is the updated edition of Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-Revelator was released in 2015 and '16, and was the direct sequel to 2014's Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-. In its announcement, Arc System Works mentioned that Xrd REV2 is still very popular, justifying the decision to add it to the PC edition. It did not mention whether it planned to update the PS4 edition of the game, though.

Rollback netcode is a strategy for facilitating communication between two players over the internet. Fighting games are particularly sensitive to network conditions and need to ensure that players can "sync up". Otherwise, the game experience is affected, and fights over the internet will feel "laggy", especially when players are separated by large distances. Recently fighting game developers have embraced implementing rollback to ensure that their titles feel better to play online. Even older games like Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and now Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 received rollback. Newer titles, like Guilty Gear Strive, have had it implemented from launch.

FIFA 23 Install Size on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One & PC

1 year 8 months ago

Each and every year, EA Sports brings us a fresh dose of soccer action to our screens and monitors with a new entry in the FIFA series. With the release of FIFA 23 on every major platform, players can expect updated rosters, improved physics, cross-play in 1v1 multiplayer modes, and a whole host of other changes to the core gameplay. Some players may be wondering just how big FIFA 23’s install size is, so they can free up some space on their storage drives ahead of time. Here’s everything you need to know on exactly that.

FIFA 23 Download Size on Every Platform

We’ve got a complete list of all FIFA 23 digital download and install sizes for your convenience below.

It’s worth pointing out that discrepancies between the file sizes on last and current-gen consoles is likely due to the faster load speeds of the SSDs in Xbox Series X|S and PS5. This allows files and assets to be reused, rather than having to be added multiple times as was the case on the slower hard drive disks of the Xbox One, PS4, and some PCs.
