Oculus Quest 2 64GB Is Only $199 At Walmart

Black Friday and Cyber Monday brought some great deals on the Oculus Quest 2, including bundles with free gift cards and a carrying case. But possibly the best Oculus Quest 2 deal we've seen just popped up at Walmart. You can snag a refurbished 64GB Oculus Quest 2 for only $199 at Walmart. We'd imagine Walmart will sell out of this particular model before the holiday season wraps up.

We say it's an interesting offer, because the 64GB model of the Quest 2 was discontinued by Meta (Facebook) earlier this year. The Quest 2 was temporarily unavailable for purchase earlier this year due to complaints from some users about the headset causing skin irritation. The Quest 2 was later "relaunched" in both 128GB and 256GB models.

Since this offer is on a refurbished product, our guess is that the foam insert that touches your face while wearing the headset has been replaced with the silicone cover that Meta offered to all customers who bought the original headset. Even if for some reason the foam insert hasn't been replaced, it's easy to find a silicone insert on Amazon for around 10 bucks. Also, as a refurbished product, it's likely to be in like-new condition, but the headset might not be brand new.

We've reached out to Walmart to confirm whether the original foam insert has been replaced or not and will update this article as soon as we hear back.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Coming To Game Pass December 14

If Back 4 Blood isn't scratching your co-op shooter itch, Xbox Game Pass is getting another co-op shooter in the form of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and it's coming soon. The game will arrive on Microsoft's subscription service on December 14, and will be available on both consoles and PC.

Originally released on August 23, the third-person survival shooter sees players step into the boots of hardened marines from the Alien sci-fi universe, as they struggle to contain a Xenomorph infestation using a variety of weapons and gadgets. The game was generally well-received, with our own review calling it "a surprisingly deep third-person shooter with tight, enjoyable multiplayer action that has enough variety to tease multiple return visits."

Aliens: Fireteam Elite features 20 enemy types, including 11 different types of Xenomorphs across four campaigns. Players can customize their marine's class, weapons, and look, and each class features various perks for further customization.

The game arrives on Game Pass alongside the rollout of the game's second season of content, titled Point Defense. Season 2 will bring a new Point Defense game mode, four new weapons, 13 new attachments, 15 new cosmetics, eight new challenge cards, and the inclusion of lifetime stats.

Call Of Duty: Warzone Pacific Reveals Much Needed Changes

Call of Duty: Warzone is headed to the Pacific on December 8 with Vanguard's Season 1, and Activision has provided new details to further showcase the new Caldera map's points of interest and highlight what players can expect at launch. The November 30 blog post reveals some lush island settings, new modes, and much needed changes to overpowered weapons and equipment.

Caldera is Warzone's first brand-new map since the game launched in March 2020, and players can expect a completely new change of scenery with this Pacific island setting. The fictional island of Caldera features a volcano, waterfalls, and cave exploration for the nature enthusiasts, but there is added variety with buildings like the airport, beach resort, and industrial docks. The full Caldera map is now revealed to have 15 main points of interest.

With the launch of Vanguard integration on December 8, players can expect all of Vanguard's weapons and operators to be available in Warzone. This includes the core 38 weapons from Vanguard's launch, plus two free weapons arriving in the Season 1 battle pass.

Also available at launch, Warzone Pacific will feature the new Vanguard Royale playlist in addition to standard battle royale. Vanguard Royale is Warzone's new dogfighting mode that will allow players to take to the skies or maneuver AA guns to combat aerial attacks. Vanguard Royale will only feature loadouts and operators from Call of Duty: Vanguard. Circle collapses will be altered to offer a different pace of play with the dogfighting mechanics.

DICE's Former Head Of Design Joins Ubisoft

Ubisoft has hired Battlefield developer DICE's former Head of Design, Fawzi Mesmar, to become the Assassin's Creed publisher's new Vice President of Editorial.

In that role, Mesmar will work with Ubisoft's development teams around the world to "shape the creative direction" of the company's franchises. He will also work with Ubisoft's teams to "ensure they are including diverse perspectives throughout the production process and creating enriching entertainment experiences for all players." Mesmar will report to Ubisoft Chief Creative Officer Igor Manceau.

Mesmar was DICE's Head of Design from 2019-2021 where he worked on projects like Star Wars: Battlefront II, Battlefield V, and Battlefield 2042. Before that, he spent almost four years at Candy Crush developer King in various roles, including Studio Director, Production & Game Design.

He also wrote the book Al-Khallab on the Art of Game Design, which is among the first Arabic language books on game design. "At Ubisoft, Fawzi will continue to build on a proven track record of leading diverse, globally distributed teams, drawing on his past experiences working in Germany, Japan, Jordan, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden," the company said.
