Third-party add-on developer DC Designs provided another look at the upcoming F-15 Eagle package for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
This time around, we get to see something perhaps a bit less common in the peaceful skies of Microsoft’s sim, but certainly relevant to a fighter jet.
The Eagle is sent into a terrifying spin which is then recovered after quite a lot of shaking involving rather powerful G-forces.
You can watch it in action from the developer’s Facebook page, while we wait for the add-on’s release, which should come in January.

Coming off a year where I experienced both personal and professional turmoil, 2020 was going to be the year I turned it all around. I decided that as much as I traveled in 2019, I was going to do even more in 2020. Not just that, but I was going to do more in general: I couldn't wait to set up more times to meet up at bars and restaurants with friends, and I was even planning to throw a house party or two. Unfortunately, as we all learned, 2020 was not the year any of us expected, and nearly all of my plans were put on hold.
We know the story of 2020 all too well, but with travel such a key component of how I planned to heal from a 2019 that, quite frankly, left me emotionally upended, I was left to my own devices. Thankfully, while 2020 was an often terrible year, it delivered a ton of awesome games that provided escapism. As I played through the various adventures the year brought us, I came to a realization that I was experiencing so many of the destinations I love through the real world in the virtual world.
2020 is over. But we got some unfinished business to take care of: one last 2020 ‘Shop Contest needs to be judged. So, let’s get to it. Let’s see what you assholes did to Miyamoto.

It's a happy new year indeed for Valve - we're only a few days into 2021, but the company has once again broken its own record for the highest number of concurrent users on its digital PC platform, Steam.
This is the seventh time the record has been broken in 12 months, most recently when it hit 24,776,635 concurrent users in mid-December. Before then, the highest concurrent player count seen on Steam was 22 million users.
Steam saw an unprecedented number of players concurrently online back when the pandemic first surged, resulting in millions of people going into lockdown. Now, according to SteamDB (thanks, PC Gamer), Valve's PC platform has hit another record high, with 25,415,080 concurrent users on the service yesterday, 2nd January, 2021.
The Uncharted movie has dropped four stills taken from its highly-anticipated upcoming film, giving us a peek at some of its mysterious sets and props.
"A new year. A new adventure awaits," the tweet says, and attaches four stills taken on set. Here they are, although let's face it - they tell us more about the prop department than the movie itself:
They're not quite brand-new, either; anyone who watches Nolan North - yes, that's the same Nolan North that portrays Drake in the games - revealed two of them just before Christmas on his Retro Replay YouTube channel. Altogether, though, they depict a couple of ancient maps, a shiny gold cross that also apparently doubles as a key, and a room that requires a damned good dusting.
Netflix is reportedly planning to create a TV show based on the The Elder Scrolls franchise.
Capitalising on the success of similar adaptations that turned The Witcher and Castlevania into strong shows on the streaming service, it's now rumoured that Netflix is looking to repeat the formula with a show based upon Bethesda's action RPG, too.
The rumour comes via industry insider Daniel Ritchtman (£) (thanks, Game Rant), who reports Netflix is looking to adapt the fan-favourite franchise. Admittedly it's only a rumour right now - as yet we haven't heard from Bethesda, Microsoft or Netflix - but given there are already plans to turn Fallout 4 into a TV show, it's certainly a plausible one.
Star Citizen’s crowdfunding campaign has been unstoppable pretty much since the beginning, and 2020 was no exception.
According to backer-recorded data (confirmed via our own observation), the crowdfunding giant received $78,991,728 in pledges by its backers in 2020.
This pretty much shatters the previous yearly record achieved in 2019, which was $47,735,514.
On top of that, another milestone was reached yesterday, as the funding total passed $340 million. At the moment of this writing, it’s at a staggering $340,252,462.
This perhaps should come at no surprise, as 2020 was a strong year for almost the whole gaming industry, with the strong growth of the need for digital entertainment at home due to the pandemic.
That being said, it’s certainly undeniable that Star Citizen has gathered a sizable and dedicated fanbase willing to support its extended development.
The funding comes from pledges that grant players the ability to play the game in its alpha versions with a basic ship and additional packages that provide more advanced ships, despite the fact that those ships are gradually made available to purchase within the game with credits earned by playing.
Monthly subscriptions are also available for those who want to enjoy a deeper level of insight into the development process and receive additional goodies and discounts.
More insight about the game’s successful year and what can be expected going forward was shared by Cloud Imperium Games CEO Chris Roberts himself a couple of weeks ago.
Following the recent reveal of the gameplay of the latest character, Arc System Works released new screenshots and art of its upcoming fighting game Guilty Gear -Strive-.
We get to see more of returning character Mito Anji, his flashy moves, and his new look.
We also learn from the press release that the previous voice actor Tohru Igarashi was unable to reprise his role, and will be replaced by Nobutoshi Canna.

Koei Tecmo's American and European websites remain offline over a week after they were targeted by hackers.
If you visit either the European or North American site, you'll be greeted with a message that reads: "Due to the possibility of an external cyberattack on this website, it is temporarily closed as we investigate the issue".
The publisher doesn't believe financial information has been compromised but did acknowledge that the hack - which is thought to have happened on Christmas Day, 25th December - may have put at risk account names, encrypted passwords, and email addresses.
Sony has reportedly told a Japanese retailer that it is discontinuing a number of older PlayStation 4 models, including the PS4 Pro 1TB Glacier White and the PS4 2TB Jet Black.
As reported by Cheesemeister on Twitter (thanks, VGC), retailers in Japan have notified consumers that it is unable to restock the PS4 500GB Glacier White, PS4 1TB Jet Black, PS4 1TB Glacier White, PS4 2TB Jet Black, and PS4 Pro 1TB Glacier White "due to the manufacturer ending production".
As yet there's been no formal confirmation by Sony, but it coincides with a recent message on PlayStation.com that said it had "no plans to restock [PS4 Pros] in future". That statement, however, was subsequently removed.
Sony has revealed the next set of freebies coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers in January 2021: Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and GreedFall.
While the latter two are optimised for PS4, the former is the PS5 version, so the "PlayStation Plus benefit [is] not applicable for Maneater on PS4", apparently.
"PlayStation Plus starts 2021 with a bang. PlayStation Plus members will receive two PS4 titles - action-adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider and action RPG Greedfall - on Tuesday January 5," wrote SIE's Adam Michel on the official PS Blog.

Many tabletop role-playing enthusiasts had to make big changes to their playstyles in 2020. Whether it meant suspending long-running games, moving to virtual play sessions, or playing more with those they lived with, it’s been a challenging time to get a fix of that dice-rolling goodness. Regardless, there was no shortage of wonderful new RPG books, expansions, boxed sets, and full games over recent months.
Whether you’ve got a way to play right now, or you just want to read up and learn some great games ahead of when the pandemic is all over, here are some of the absolute best role-playing game releases of 2020.
2010 was a reckoning. It was a year that saw the gaming market explode with a bevy of independently produced titles. In forgotten scenes reminiscent of the "bedroom programming" days of the late-'80s/early-'90s, talented coders from around the world bombarded PC and console stores with a slew of excellent, home-grown video games, reigniting a fire in the indie development scene that burns brightly to this day.
The decade began with the arrival of legendary titles such as PlayDead's Limbo, Terry Cavanagh's VVVVVV, Rodain Joubert's Desktop Dungeons, oh, and a little block-building jaunt by the name of Minecraft... what happened to this latter release we'll never know. But perhaps no one title is more closely associated with the modern-day indie game boom than Team Meat's tough-as-nails platformer, Super Meat Boy.
As chronicled in 2012 documentary Indie Game: The Movie, Super Meat Boy was a labor of love for two friends - Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes - who worked tirelessly to create a twitchy, complex, and wryly comic adventure, embracing the skill-based gameplay and relentless difficulty of games' past. Super Meat Boy launched to much-deserved success, shifting over a million copies in its first two years of release. More importantly, it inspired a generation of wannabe developers - establishing the belief that in the big bucks world of modern gaming there was definitely still room for "the little guy".
And now, over a decade later, Team Meat (now sans Ed McMillen) has returned with long-awaited sequel Super Meat Boy Forever. So take a deep breath and prepare to get those finger cramps all over again. It has taken some years but - finally - the Buzz is Back.
It’s not cheap, but virtual wheel-to-wheel action is far cheaper than actual racing

You can listen below.
Graven, which is intended to be a spiritual successor to Hexen II, will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2021.

“A faithful priest of the Orthogonal order, exiled unto death for a crime in defense of another, you live again in a small boat, adrift in a swamp. A stranger ferries you to solid ground and bestows upon you vague instructions, along with a mysterious staff and book. Go forth, pious priest, alleviate suffering, uncover deceptions, and smash the eldritch perversions encroaching upon reality itself.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a nice, long discussion about Apple Arcade. I remember having high hopes for the service when it launched in 2019, and while enthusiasm around the service died down in the weeks following its debut, it actually maintained a steady stream of quality releases throughout 2020. A couple of them were covered, like Necrobarista, Crossy Castle Castle, and The Pathless. That’s a great trio of games, but there are several other notable titles that launched on the service last year that you should probably give a try if you haven't already.

Developer Gate15Scenery provided a new work-in-progress look at its Microsoft Flight Simulator rendition of Tottori Airport in Japan.
The airport, also known as Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport, is known among other things with the official association with the popular Detective Conan manga and anime.
This is die to the fact that Conan’s creator, mangaka Gosho Aoyama, was born in Tottori.
The real airport is full of Detective Conan imagery and branding, and it even hosts a dedicated store with plenty of merchandise. Looks like the version in the simulator will feature the same, as you can see (if you squint) in the screenshots below.
Do keep in mind that this is in early development, so we can expect the final version of the airport to look a lot better.
