It was while rewatching 2009 space horror flick Pandorum over the weekend that I realized it’s essentially a Souls movie in disguise, released just a month before Demon’s Souls arrived in the United States.
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, the next expansion to The Binding of Isaac, has finally received some new details regarding its status, and it’s set to receive plenty of reveals in the coming months.
In a blog post made to Steam on Sept. 28, series creator Edmund McMillen revealed that Repentance had officially been listed for pre-order on Steam and was 90 percent complete. The expansion is currently slated for a tentative release date of Dec. 31, 2020 on PC. Info on what kind of new content the expansion will entail is set to be revealed through blog posts slated for publishing from mid-October on.
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is set to feature a wealth of new content, so much so that McMillen compares it to a full-on sequel of sorts and says it’s on par with the amount of content added to the original flash game since Rebirth.
“I’ve been working closely with the team to ensure that this is the ‘Sequel DLC’ you’ve always wanted,” McMillen wrote. “The team has gone above and beyond and we’re really proud of how the game is coming together and I have a feeling you’re gunna shit your asses when you get your hands on it.”
McMillen likewise confirmed that there were console versions in the works. However, he stated that Tyrone Rodriguez, founder of Binding of Isaac’s publisher Nicalis, would be the person to reveal any news regarding when the release date for the expansion on consoles would be.
Which consoles the expansion might be released on has not been confirmed at this time.
When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare first released for consoles and PC last year, it also had a mode that was exclusive to PS4. Survival Mode was set to be a timed exclusive for PS4 players for a year, but now it’s finally making its way over to Xbox One and PC as well.
As of Oct. 1, Survival Mode will be available on all platforms, as announced via the Season 6 blog post over on the official Call of Duty site.
At Season launch on console, owners of the full version of Modern Warfare will also have to download the Compatibility Pack to access Multiplayer and Special Ops, and the Survival Pack to access Survival. File sizes for these two Packs are below:
PlayStation 4 Compatibility Pack: 7.8 GB
PlayStation 4 Survival Pack: 5.8 GB
Xbox One Compatibility Pack: 8 GB
Xbox One Survival Pack: 5.9 GB
Note that on October 1, Xbox and PC players can access the Survival mode.
In Survival Mode, you and up to three other players will have to fend off hordes of enemies in waves that will get increasingly difficult, and have to think on your feet in various different combat situations.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Today Nihon Falcom revised its forecast for the upcoming financial results for the fiscal year ending on September 30.
The forecast for sales was increased from 2.15 billion yen to 2.45 billion yen, while the prediction for both operating and ordinary income was increased from one billion yen to 1.25 billion.
This comes hot on the tail of the Japanese release of The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki for PS4.
We also learn that the whole series has now shipped over 5,000,0000 units, up to the previously-announced 4.5 million units in February.
That’s certainly an impressive result for a series that is considered quite niche among the JRPG genre but has gained more and more popularity over the past few years.
In the west, we’re still waiting for the release of the previous game, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV which is coming to PS4 on October 27, 2020. The Nintendo Switch and PC versions are still marked for a generic “2021” launch.
f you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s how publisher NIS America describes it officially.
The Erebonian Empire is on the brink of all-out war!
Last year, when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released, it was missing one critical mode: Zombies. The outlandish Zombies mode wasn’t a good fit for the realistic, gritty vibe of Modern Warfare, but it’ll be making a return to this year’s entry.
Over on the official Call of Duty Twitter page, it looks like we’ll be getting the official Zombies reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War later this week.
More specifically, the reveal will start at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Sept. 30, or 1 p.m. Eastern Time. The reveal trailer itself will debut on the Call of Duty YouTube page.

A new event from PlayStation is coming soon, as revealed by the China Hero Project official Twitter account.
To be more specific, it will be aired tomorrow, September 30, at 7:00 pm Beijing time.
According to the announcement, “many” games from PlayStation’s China Hero Project will be showcased with both new announcements and new footage.
You can read the announcement below.
It’ll be interesting to see if anything about the PS5 will be included in the event, considering that when the worldwide release dates for the console was announced, we heard that a possible Chinese launch date for the console was still “under exploration.”
WWE and Take-Two Interactive could be headed to court after a tattoo artist filed suit over the replication of her artwork being featured in numerous titles in the WWE 2K series.
As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, artist Catherine Alexander is asking for remuneration after several tattoos she designed and inked for pro-wrestler Randy Orton between the years of 2003 and 2009 have repeatedly been featured on Orton's in-game character model. The six tattoos in question include a dove, a skull, a bible verse and several tribal patterns.
On Saturday, Illinois judge Staci Yandle offered partial summary judgement on the case. Yandle ruled that while WWE and Take-Two did copy Alexander's work in-game by recreating her art on Orton's character model, it would be up to a jury as to whether this move qualifies as copyright infringement. The outcome of this lawsuit could set an industry-changing precedent for tattoos and their representation going forward.

Teslagrad, the magnetic-themed Metroidvania from 2013, is getting a sequel.
Teslagrad 2 will stick to the same formula and hand-drawn art style, but leave the old setting of Tesla's tower behind in favour of Wyrmheim, a new place based on developer Rain Games' home of Norway. Expect Viking carvings and Nordic runes.
There's not much else to go on beyond a few concept art sketches and excited quotes. "This game has been rattling at the back of my mind for six years while we've been working on our games," said Rain Games' CEO Peter Meldahl. "I've hoarded the best ideas from those years to use for Teslagrad 2."

Christ on a cocking bike. As if 2020 hasn't already been a shitshow. Not just any shitshow, but an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza of excrement, a colossal carnival of stinking dog eggs. In fact, if there was an actual Shit Show, and it involved every shit everyone's ever done performing hits from the musicals, such as Shitting in the Rain, Don't Shit on My Parade, Let Shit Go etc, this show would still be shitter. And just to top it all off, they've cancelled FarmVille.
Alright, let's be honest: FarmVille isn't officially gone till 31 December, but it's already forgotten. I just paid a visit to an old Facebook group where I used to hang out with a load of players, back when hanging out in Facebook groups wasn't just for old people. That's right kids, I'm one of you, just look at my collection of drugs and loom bands.
The group was called "Leo's FarmVille Syndicate". We gathered there to swap goods, form co-ops, and slag each other off for failing to water crops or produce enough grain. A better name would have been "Leo's Virtual Gulag."
Like any grand strategy game, systems get real complicated real fast in Crusader Kings 3, so it's little wonder that Paradox Interactive has taken player feedback on board to introduce a raft of changes for the game's first major patch. And seriously, there are a lot.
One of the major changes in patch 1.1 addresses a technique the community has dubbed North Korea mode - essentially a way to conquer the world by ignoring domain limit penalties and holding enough counties to make up for the reduced levies and income. As many players deemed the strategy overpowered and unrealistic, it's now been patched out, and the penalty for being over the domain limit has been increased from a 90 per cent reduction of taxes and levies to a full 100. On top of that, vastly exceeding the domain limit for over a year will deactivate all buildings until your domain limit is lowered. No more world domination for you.
Another common complaint voiced by the Crusader Kings 3 community was the apparent abundance of bastard children in the game, which many players discovered when exploring their save files in debug mode. The patch adds more restrictions to see if characters are willing to cheat on their partners, while the intrigue event "confused heritage" is now being restricted to players only - "as the AI was going a bit wild with it and turning everyone into bastards unnecessarily."
Fancy a new headset, mouse or keyboard for your PC, Xbox or PlayStation? Today is a good day to upgrade, as SteelSeries has discounted everything on their store by 20 per cent, including some of the best headsets for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
To get the discount, just use the code VLDL20 at the 'Shopping Cart' page (not the checkout, as you might be familiar with on other sites!). The deal is open to residents of the US and the UK, and should also include Canada, most of western Europe and more.
We're a big fan of SteelSeries here at Digital Foundry, as plenty of their equipment has found its way onto a lot of our "best of" lists. Here are the keyboards, mice and headsets that we've tested and recommend:
