This is the lowest price we've ever seen for this TV, equalling the best deal we saw back on Black Friday a few months back. For reference, this exactly model was selling for £1600 as recently as last autumn!
So why do Digital Foundry love LG OLEDs so much - and why did we name this one the best 4K TV for HDR gaming? Well, OLED televisions are renowned for their picture quality, with the organic LEDs inside capable of turning completely black instead of just very dark grey as you'd expect with an LED. That means the contrast between the lightest and darkest areas of the screen is nearly infinite, letting the TV look stunning in dark scenes - particularly in HDR.
Among the Rainbow Six Siege community, there is perhaps no operator more quirkily beloved than Alexsander Senaviev - better known to the Siege faithful as Lord Tachanka. Having been present in Siege since launch, the Russian Spetsnaz operator has become something of a meme character, recognised for his lumbering form, unwieldly head armour and devastatingly powerful mounted machine gun.
But sadly for Tachanka, this internet infamy has not translated into a high pick-rate. In a game such as Siege, where speed, mobility, and adaptation are of the essence, standing rooted to one spot in order to fire his trusty turret has left poor Tachanka at the bottom of the popularity pile, only really busted out for The Lolz. It seems that while players certainly enjoy the idea of Tachanka, nobody really wants to rely on the guy in the thick of the fight.
But, in Year 5, this could all be about to change. At this weekend's Six Invitational tournament, the Siege team revealed that Lord Tachanka will be one of the first roster members to be overhauled as part of the incoming "Operator Rework" project. And it looks like the time for joking is over. No-one's laughing anymore...
...Tachanka's machine gun will no longer be a mounted weapon.

The debate persists, but there’s a clear answer
Activision has fixed an exploit that permitted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players to use attachments they hadn't organically unlocked in the game.
In the brief patch notes (thanks, VG24/7), the developer also revealed it had addressed unspecified "exploit fixes on various maps and modes", made some - again, unspecified - changes to the backend, and fixed a bug that left some players' CDL filter active even after they'd joined a party without CDL filters.
Following an accidental data dump on the Call of Duty website last weekend, a new leak - this one from an official source via an Activision account on Xbox Live - confirmed Rust will be making an appearance in season two, along with three other multiplayer maps: Atlas Superstore, Bazaar, and Zhokov Boneyard.
Isn't it about time we had a reboot of Electronic Arts' Road Rash franchise? Combining traditional racing with bike-to-bike violence, Road Rash was one of EA's most exciting titles back in the early 90s, making a fantastic debug on Sega Mega Drive before making the transition onto what were then the next generation consoles. However, before the series hit the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn, we got our first taste of how the series would evolve into an actual three-dimensional experience - in July 1994, Road Rash arrived on 3DO.
One of the first 'next-gen' consoles with 3D capabilities delivering games via optical disc, the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer is something of a curiosity. Similar to the MSX of yore, the 3DO Company put together what you might call a reference design that was available for licensing, with manufacturing heavyweights such as Panasonic, LG (then known as Goldstar) and Sanyo each delivering their own take on the hardware across the system's relatively short lifespan.
Out of the box, the 3DO's best video output was a 480i interlaced video signal delivered via S-Video - which is something of a problem in terms of image quality as the internal framebuffer was actually a more traditional 320x240, or 240p. That's where Black Dog Technology's 3DORGB mod comes into play. Piggy-backing onto the GPU, the 3DORGB bypasses the system's internal interpolation and brings the best quality progressive scan output to the fore.
Following the reveal of Rainbow Six Siege's first season of Year 5, Void Edge, Ubisoft has revealed the next two operatives coming to the competitive shooter: Iana and Oryx.
While Jordan-born Oryx is the first operator that ships without a gadget, he'll compensate with two abilities, one that allows him to jump up through hatches and another, Remah Dash, with which he can dash-attack not just walls but enemies, too.
"Stable, sure, and predictable" Iana will be able to confuse foes with Replicator, a gadget that deploys a hologram that the player can directly control.
It's weird how VR can make a familiar game feel like a completely new experience. For example, I've played GTA 5 many a time before and on multiple platforms, but looking at the world of Los Santos through the twin lenses of a VR headset allowed me to spot so many little details that I'd missed on previous visits.
The best way I've found to describe this phenomenon to non-VR users is to liken it to looking through a holiday brochure at photos of a resort you're planning on visiting. The resort looks beautiful from the pictures sure, and in your mind's eye you can easily picture yourself sat there by the side of the pool, sipping on a cocktail.
But those flat images are nothing compared to the feeling of actually being there in person, to stand by that pool and to see the size of it in three dimensions. To know the depth of it by peering over the edge into the water or to spot the little weeds or odd bits of wear and tear dotted around the paths that surround it because in the photos they masked by all the scenery.
"How do you even review Dreams?"
It's a question I've asked, and been asked. Even now, as I try to stall so the right words might spill out of my subconscious and capture some of its playful magic, I'm grappling with possible answers. It's such a wide-ranging artistic experience. What we get out of it will drastically differ from person to person.
You might flex your creative muscles in animation, a discipline I'm convinced I'll never excel at, much less wrap my head around. I'm far more likely to stick with something in my comfort zone, like sculpting. Or I could wake up one day and decide "Hey, painting would be a pleasant change of pace." Your old buddy you never talk to anymore but always see online may very well be a secret music-making wizard.
The art-creating possibilities feel endless, but not in an overwhelming way. If there's one lesson Media Molecule wants us all to latch onto, it's that we're more capable than we give ourselves credit.
Nvidia has removed all Activision Blizzard games from its GeForce Now cloud subscription service following a "misunderstanding" with the developer/publisher.
While players participating in the closed beta were able to play Activision games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Overwatch as part of the service, founding members who signed up after the 90-day free trial went live on 4th February noticed that the games were quietly removed without explanation just a few days later.
In a comment to Bloomberg (thanks, PC Gamer), a Nvidia representative explained that while Activision had permitted its games to be part of beta test, the two companies had not discussed licensing terms beyond that beta. Consequently, Nvidia was forced to remove the titles, adding: "per their request, please be advised Activision Blizzard games will be removed from the service".

It is often considered one of the first environmental ocean games, but even Ecco couldn't predict the threat that would be posed by plastic pollution.
Today during the Sydney event of the Gran Turismo Sport World Tour 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital revealed a new car for the PS4 racing simulator.
The new car is the Le Mans GT1 Aston Martin DBR9, which debuted in real racing in 2005.
It’s certainly a racing classic, and it was used during one of the semi-finals of the Nations Cup.

Incidentally, the race was won by Jonathan Wong from Hong Kong. The overall World Tour event was won by Takeru Miyazono from Japan with an absolutely brilliant win at the very last second ahead of Cody Nikola Latkovski. Wong took third place at the end.

Today Bandai Namco Entertainment released a brand new TV commercial of the upcoming Musou-style game One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.
As previous comercials, it focuses on one of the anime/manga arcs covered by the game, and specifically on the Whole Cake Island. The format is always the same, with the narrator reminding the viewer of “that emotional episode.”

Paradox will soon release a brand new DLC for its World War II grand strategy game Hearts of Iron IV, titled La Resistance, and today they released a new trailer.
We take a look at Operations, which you could consider the heart of the expansion, as it lets you simulate support to resistance and sabotage of enemy installations like factories and so forth.
It certainly appears to add another complexity layer to the game, and it’ll be interesting to see how it’ll affect the balance.

Pokémon's anniversary is February 27, a day that will likely be filled with news and events for most of the active Pokémon games. For Sword and Shield, Game Freak has stated that it will reveal a new mythical Pokémon that will likely appear in the game at the same time. The official Pokémon Twitter account shared what is believed to be the silhouette of this new critter.
Today, during the Six Invitational 2020 tournament, Ubisoft revealed the gameplay of the two new operators that will join the roster of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege with Operation Void Edge.
We get to see Iana from the Netherlands and Oryx from Jordan, and their approaches to battle couldn’t be more different even beyond the fact that the former is an attacker and the latter is a defender.
Oryx isn’t exactly the subtle type. This sleeveless brawny dude can literally smash through walls (at the price of a bit of health) and jump up through ceiling hatches after destroying them.
On the other hand, Iana is the opposite. Using her Gemini replicator gadget she can literally generate a hologram of herself that she can control to confuse enemies and scout for ambushes.
Of course, it’s not actually physical, so she can’t use it to hurt enemies, but I’m sure you can see plenty of utility for this tool.
The hologram disappears when hit by a simple bullet and by a handful gadget. On top of that, she can’t move while she’s using it.

With the Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101: Remastered in full Swing, PlatinumGames published a new video starring executive producer Atsushi Inaba.
Inaba-san talks about his role as producer and then goes on to mention what the Kickstarter campaign means for PlatinumGames, which goes beyond simple monetary help.

Bandai Namco released two new screenshots of its upcoming MMORPG Blue Protocol.
The screenshots have been shared on Twitter (sources: 1, 2) with the promise of more coming during the closed beta application period which will end on March 2.

We get to see a battle against monsters, and the developers stress how dynamic the scene is as the enemies approach.

Ubisoft's tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege is about to embark on its fifth year of operation in 2020, bringing with it new mechanics, modes, quality-of-life tweaks, and new door-smashing, head-popping operators. This week, at the Six Invitational tournament in Montreal, the Rainbow Six dev team officially unveiled year five's first season: Void Edge, starring two particularly unusual operators: Iana and Oryx
There is a moment in Code Shifter where one of the characters is asked to play through the game-within-a-game to test it for bugs and difficulty. She eagerly agrees at first, but when the scene jumps back to her a bit later, she's had enough of it, grown tired of the experience, and just wants to move on to other things.
That about sums up my experience with Code Shifter.
I don't know when I put down Dead Cells, but I did, and I've been meaning to get back into it ever since.
The roguelike action-platformer has seen continuous support for years now, to the point where it's easy to lose track of what's coming and what's going, but there's been one constant: it still has best-in-class flow. The Bad Seed – the first paid DLC level pack for Dead Cells – is an ideal point of re-entry.
You don't have to be at the top of your game to enjoy these two new levels and gnarly-looking boss.
