It sounds very much like there’s a single-player Apex Legends game on the horizon, judging from several jobs being advertised by Respawn Entertainment. Hang on – stompy robot shooter Titanfall 2 was the only single-player game in the same universe as Apex so far. Could this be Titanfall 3 or something else entirely?
A new Reality Mod for Battlefield 3 is due out this week.
It's been in development for seven years by over 80 contributors and will now finally be released on 17th July.
The mod aims to "create an immersive gameplay and a more realistic experience", with a focus on team play, communication and combined arms.
The newly-released Skyrim Together Reborn co-op mod has got off to an incredible start. In fact, it has already been downloaded more than 50k times since its release on Friday.
Along with this new mod for The Elder Scrolls 5, the Together team has also shared a little update about its purpose. Calling it a "passion project" by a small handful of volunteers, the developer revealed it had tested it out with "30+ players", although this did not strictly make it an MMO.
"The aim of the mod is to develop a true Skyrim multiplayer experience that brings online multiplayer into this otherwise strictly single player game," the Together team explained, stating it is aimed for use by two to eight players at a time.
Ken Akamatsu, the artist behind the Love Hina and Negima! Magister Negi Magi manga, has become the first mangaka to also be a politician. He won a seat in the national proportional representation block during the House of Councillors election in Japan, held on July 10, 2022. He is now a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. Sci-fi shooter Halo Infinite finally sees some movement to get campaign co-op into the game this week, which will see the launch of the campaign network co-op preview. It's not certain yet exactly what day or time the beta begins, but anyone looking to team up with friends for the beta will need to have been part of the Halo Insider program for at least three months and have an Insider Xp level of 5 or higher. The preview will be available for both purchased copies of Halo Infinite and to players using Game Pass for PC. Steam players will be sent a unique key to access the relevant build through Halo Insider.
Kojima Productions has threatened legal action over social media posts identifying Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima as the man who assassinated ex-Japanese prime ministor Shinzo Abe.
Abe, the highly-respected former leader of Japan, died last week in a shooting that shocked Japan and prompted international outcry. A 41-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene.
Over the weekend, internet users began to circulate an old photograph of Kojima online, identifying the image as that of the suspect.
Low sales of the Wii U weren't the only reason Nintendo decided to not offer dual GamePad support on its somewhat underwhelming console. The decision was also due to a general lack of suitable games to actually make its implementation worthwhile, former Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aimé has said.
Speaking to MinnMax, Fils-Aimé stated:
"What was interesting is that with the Wii U, there was a full development plan for all of the interesting interactions and all of the interesting capabilities that the system could do, and so in that case, technically could multiple gamepads communicate with a Wii U? Answer was 'yes', but the install base never got large enough that that type of implementation made sense."

Hallmark has premiered its Keepsake Ornaments for 2022, with over 250 new ornaments for this Christmas season. When we enter the main film of Thor: Love and Thunder, we find the Guardians of the Galaxy trying to help save a planet. However, Thor looks to be hesitant to join at first, but thanks to a little encouragement from Star-Lord and Mantis, Thor rides off on Stormbreaker to join the battle.
To the chagrin of the other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy though, he completely shows them up, quickly ending the battle. Even though Thor wins, he does destroy the planet’s temple in the process, causing the planet’s citizens distress. In the same scene it is also revealed that Korg also joined the team, likely around the same time Thor did.

Toei Movie Village announced that it will bring the Demon Slayer Entertainment District to life. Visitors will be able to see spots such as the Butterfly Mansion and the train station from Mugen Train from July 23 to October 17, 2022. Aside from visiting locales from Demon Slayer, the Toei Movie Village will feature cut-outs of the characters. You can take pictures with them, or with the various props around the area. For example, there is a box that resembles Nezuko’s that you can crawl into for photos or simply to experience what Nezuko must live like on a daily basis. The Movie Village will also offer a limited collaboration menu, as well as mini-games and a stamp rally.

Stardew Valley operates on a 24-hour day cycle; however, four of those hours are always spent sleeping. When it comes to virtual basketball, there’s just no beating the NBA 2K series from 2K Games. Every year, a new iteration arrives with more bells and whistles, and in recent years, more microtransactions. However, the action on the court remains pristine, and players tend to look more and more like their real-life counterparts, at least on the latest generation of consoles. If you are wondering if NBA 2K23 on PC is based on the previous-generation console version, read on.

Obviously, this is going to be disappointing news for players on the PC, with consoles still getting the priority when it comes to improvements and tweaks that make the game look visually stunning.
Today developer HoYoVerse had a few juicy reveals to make related to the upcoming version 3.0 of Genshin Impact.
First of all, we get to see a story trailer introducing what’s going on behind the scene before the players enter the new region of Sumeru.
Secondly, we take a look at the first three Sumeru-themed characters.
The first is an “Avidya Forest Watcher” named Tighnari, A.K.A. Verdant Strider, while the second is an Avidya Forest Ranger Trainee named Collei. Both are associated with the new Dendro element.
The third character is a merchant named Dori. Collei and Tighnari also briefly appear in the trailer, albeit the latter is just hard in the background.

Klonoa is back. Bandai Namco and Nintendo have launched Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, and the game is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series consoles. It collects Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and its sequel Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil in a single-purchase package.

As seen in the trailer, the Klonoa titles collected in the release are enhanced remasters of the original releases. They pair the classic gameplay of Klonoa and Klonoa 2 with higher-resolution assets and graphical features. They also have some additional features for newer players, like tutorials, unlocked difficulty options, and two-player co-op play. An additional hard difficulty and speedrun-oriented "Stopwatch Mode" are also available.

Third-party developers shared new screenshots of upcoming aircraft and airport add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
We start with new images of the LearAvia Lear Fan 2100 by Lionheart Creations. According to the developer, the aircraft is being finalized.
Good Smile Company has a treat in store for those who love Supergiant Games’ roguelike game Hades, an upcoming Nendoroid action figure portraying the god of death Thanatos.
The figure is currently available for pre-order on Good Smile Company’s Japanese and American stores. The price is respectively 7,700 yen and $56.99.
The release window is January 2023 with the usual two-month lag for the US, resulting in a March 2023 American release date.
The figure is fully posable, comes with a base (as usual Nendoroids don’t really stand on their own), the Pierced Butterfly keepsake, Mort, Thanatos’ scythe, and two face plates, grumpy and a bit less grumpy.

Last Call BBS is a collection of games that may or may not seem familiar. After all Exapunks’ Hack*Match and Eliza’s Kabufuda Solitaire are both here. There’s also a take on Solitaire called Sawayama Solitaire. But they’re all puzzle games designed to make someone think. They’re also a way to close out a period of time, as Zachtronics announced it will be a last title. Each one is special in its own way and feels unique, making it a fun collection of games that all feel “great” in their own way. At the same time, it is a salute to how PC gaming used to be.
Last Call BBS begins with the player “setting up” a Z5 Powerlance PC. You have access to the System, which lets you change the collection’s settings. There’s the Sawayama Solitaire already downloaded. Messages are left to you on a HandyMate by the PC’s former owner. These gradually tell you how to find games and offer insights into each title you acquire. Should you actually want to start playing, you need to open up Drive 0 and hop onto Netronics Connect to access the different games via a BBS. Each one actually takes some time to “download,” complete with modem sounds, and you need to wait for your download quota to cooldown before acquiring more games. The aesthetic is absolutely on-point. Every UI is designed to make this feel more like finding an old computer, rather than buying a collection of games.
According to recent job listings, Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment is currently hiring for an "Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title" that may very well be a single-player game.
As reported by Dexerto, one of the job listings in question is for a Senior Engine/Systems Engineer - C++ that will be a "Senior Systems Engineer (Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title)" that will "design, build, and maintain technology that enables the team to create engaging gameplay and fantastic experiences."
Another job listing for a Hard Surface Artist on this project mentions that Respawn is "looking for a talented and experienced Mid-Level 3D Hardsurface Artist to help build a brand new Respawn single-player adventure."
It's important to note that Respawn is hiring for this "Apex Universe FPS Incubation" title alongside a "New Game Incubation Team" that may or may not be the same game.
For those hoping for a new Titanfall game, it is interesting that Respawn specifically mentions this new project is in the "Apex Universe" and not the Titanfall one, which existed before Apex Legends was ever released. Respawn also specifically said it wasn't working on a Titanfall game as it has "too many other games" at the moment.
2K Games and Firaxis Games revealed another video of the tactical game Marvel’s Midnight Suns. dedicated to one of its playable characters.
Following yesterday’s trailer that showcased the gameplay of Steve Rogers A.K.A. Captain America, today’s video is all about introducing his rich (and at times controversial) history.
Interestingly, it touches onto some of the stories in which Captain America made contact with the supernatural, which appears to be a very relevant theme in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

In the game, Captain America’s gameplay is focused on his shield, but this doesn’t make him a purely defensive character. He can generate Block and then use it to unleash massive damage. His “Taunt” ability allows him to protect his allies as any good tank should do.
His shield can knock enemies back and he can build up heroism to play heroic cards, with his most expensive one being Shield Charge, which turns Block into pure damage dealt to all the enemies in a line pattern.
Interestingly, as the player-created hero Hunter, we can also deepen our friendship with Captain America to increase his effectiveness in combat.
Apex Legends pro player Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen has made an important mark on the Apex Legends Global Series 2022 tournament for choosing not to kill a disconnected opponent despite $2 million being on the line.
As reported by Eurogamer, ImperialHal spotted a lone player in the distance and, when he noticed he wasn't moving and was likely disconnected, he told his TSM teammates to not shoot him.
