Fortnite Is Hosting Diplo, Young Thug, And Noah Cyrus In Another Concert-Style Event
Fortnite: Battle Royale continues to operate as more than just a game. Having recently premiered a Tenet trailer and hosted a unique musical event featuring Travis Scott, the game is set to once again play host to a concert-style event, this time featuring Diplo (AKA Thomas Wesley), Noah Cyrus, and Young Thug.
The event is officially dubbed Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley With Special Guests Noah Cyrus and Young Thug. It takes place live on Fortnite Party Royale's Main Stage this Thursday, June 25, at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. You can see start times listed below.
There's no word on how long the event will last, but it marks the first of its kind since the start of Chapter 2, Season 3 last week. With it taking place in Party Royale, you can expect weapons to be disabled to let you take part in the event without having to worry about another player eliminating you.

The anticipated upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise has a new trailer today. The sequence invites players to the town of Le Carré, a town whose friendly facade appears to be hiding some rather unpleasant secrets.
First announced back in April during a Nintendo Direct, Deadly Premonition 2 will serve as both a sequel and prequel to the original game. The two-pronged story sees players follow Agents Davis and Jones in the year 2019 as they begin a new investigation into the Le Carré serial murders.
But they’ll also delve into the past, too, retracing the memories of former FBI Special Agent York as they attempt to unravel mysterious goings-on back in the year 2005 which are intrinsically linked to the present.
Just as in the first game, you’ll be able to travel Le Carré on foot or by skateboard, upgrading your character for improved speed and tricks as you go. You can expect plenty of mini-games, too, like bowling, Bayou riding, and, of course, lots of skateboard challenges.

Megadimension Neptunia VII Switch port coming west July 28
The Switch port of Megadimension Neptunia VII will be heading west next month, according to a new listing on the Nintendo eShop. The 2015 JRPG, which was ported to the Nintendo platform in March, will be available to download in North America and Europe from July 28, priced at around $30.
Megadimension Neptunia VII sees dopey gal Nep-Nep travel to an unknown parallel universe known as the Zero Dimension. It is here that Neptune meets a new goddess, Uzume Tennouboshi, and learns of a devastating evil that plans to overcome Uzume's world, before bringing the same fate to Gameindustri itself. So begins an epic action-JRPG adventure, filled with colossal boss battles, the exploration of colourful, hyperkinetic worlds, and oodles of typically goofy Neptunia humor.
Megadimension Neptunia VII launches on the Nintendo eShop July 28. It is available now on PS4 and PC.

GTX 1660 Super prices in the UK have fallen yet again
It’s not been a great time for upgrading your PC during recent months, as ongoing coronavirus-related delays and supply chain disruptions have pushed up the prices of all sorts of PC components, including our trusty graphics cards. There’s a little bit of good news, though, as Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Super has dropped in price yet again in the UK, taking this excellent 1080p graphics card down to £210.

Watch The Pokemon Presents Livestream Here
It seems like only a week ago that we gathered for a big livestream from The Pokemon Company packed with new announcements. That may be because it was only a week ago, but the company is already readying another one promising more news.
Another round of Pokemon Presents news is set for June 24 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM PT. You can watch it all go down here.
If last week's presentation is any indication, the livestream could pack some big announcements. The biggest surprise was a new Pokemon Snap coming to Nintendo Switch, reviving the long-dormant photography game that has been on the wish list of Pokemon fans for years. But that wasn't even the only new game announcement, because it also showed off Pokemon Cafe Mix, a puzzle game that is coming out this week.

Everyone in Apex Legends is a treasure hunter now, and Crypto has a moustache. I clearly haven’t been paying enough attention, but this is the backdrop to the “Lost Treasures” event and I’m happy to roll with it – not least because that event adds mobile respawn beacons. It goes live at 4pm BST (8am Pacific), and it’s bringing loadsa new cosmetics along with a new special room that lets you see other squads on the map. There are quite big character rebalances, too
The shotguns ‘n’ sniper rifles only mode has also returned, but this time with a new item that let you summon a one-use respawn station. I’m glad to see those will be added to the main game once the event has run its course. It’s been a while since I stretched my Apelegs but a change like this is a fine way to lure me back.
New Xbox One Game Sale Is Live With Up To 80% Off Popular Franchises
Each week, the Xbox Store has a new lineup of deals, and this week's Super Savings sale features a bunch of great Xbox One games for up to 80% off. The sale includes Batman: Arkham Collection, Amnesia: Collection, Injustice 2, and many more games for some of the lowest prices we've seen. Batman: Arkham Collection compiles all three of Rocksteady's heralded games starring the Caped Crusader: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. The superb collection is on sale for just $15, which is honestly a steal.
For horror fans, Amnesia: Collection features three unsettling adventures: The Dark Descent, A Machine For Pigs, and the Justine DLC. Amnesia: Collection is discounted to $6, which is the same price you can snag SOMA, another chilling horror game, for right now.

I can't wait to take a pleasant stroll through the beautiful world of Tasomachi
The New Game+ Expo may not have had all the titles fans were anticipating, especially if you're a fan of Sega and Atlus, but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth a watch. In fact, sitting through the whole presentation, I discovered a game I'd never heard of before, and I'm starting to obsess over it.
Tasomachi is currently scheduled for a 2021 release on PC. It has a Steam page, but until now, there were no plans to bring it over in English. However, publisher Playism has announced it's publishing the game, possibly exposing it to a larger audience that may have never known it existed.
The game features an elegantly designed fantasy world. Rather than having players slay their way across the land, it sounds as though Tasomachi will focus on exploration and interacting with locals. Protagonist Yukumo needs to repair her airship, and her search for items that'll do just that will find her exploring valleys, highways, and more.
I can't wait to see what this land has in store, and hopefully, Playism can get this out onto more platforms when it releases.

August 14 is demo day for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2
Activision slapped a release date on the Warehouse demo for the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 remaster. If you pre-order the game digitally on PS4, Xbox One, or PC (Epic Games Store), you'll get access to the demo on August 14, 2020, just a few weeks before THPS's September 4 launch.
This is going to sound ridiculous – hear me out! – but I'm almost more excited for the Warehouse demo (assuming it's the full stage) than I am the rest of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 package. The vibe runs deep. I miss the days when I'd go hard on a demo because, well, that's just what we did back then.
Will it be as fun as we remember? Will it be better? I'm sticking to my modest expectations.
In a blog post, Activision also revealed eight new skaters that will join the original, aged-up cast of THPS 1 and 2: Lizzie Armanto, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Tyshawn Jones, Aori Nishimura, and Shane O'Neill. Naturally, the newcomers have "their own signature tricks to represent their strengths and accomplishments they have earned so far in their young careers."
I love this endless summer of demos, even if this one is tied to pre-orders.

New PC games coming out in 2020
Now that notE3 is largely done and dusted for the month of June, there have been veritable buckets worth of new PC games announced over the last few weeks, as well as a couple of big delays like Cyberpunk 2077 getting bumped to November. As such, I’ve given our mega list of all the new PC game release dates for 2020 another good old-fashioned tidy-up, adding in all the new PC games announced during EA Play and the Guerrilla Collective and pushing those all-important delays back to the right dates. There will no doubt be more changes to come next month once Ubisoft and Microsoft hold their respective notE3 events, but for now here are all the confirmed new PC game release dates for the rest of the year.
Our favourite ultrawide gaming monitor is currently the cheapest it's been since Black Friday
The Acer Predator Z35P currently sits at the top of our list of [cms-block]s for those after a great ultrawide monitor, but in recent weeks and months it’s been pretty darn expensive, often fluctuating between £700 and £800 here in the UK. However, Amazon UK and Ebuyer have both slashed its price to a very tempting £650 right now, which is the cheapest this monitor’s been since Black Friday last November, where it dropped to an all-time low of £550. If you’ve been itching for a fantastic ultrawide monitor, now is a great time to take the plunge.
EA Wants to 'Double Down' on Making Star Wars Games
Magic: Arena is coming to Mac this week, everything will transfer
Magic: The Gathering Arena launched last fall (after a lengthy beta period), and continues to stroll through each set (Core 2021 is coming soon). But it's sadly still on just the PC platform: until this week, that is.
Wizards of the Coast has just announced that Arena will be available for MacOS as of June 25. The catch is it'll be through the Epic Games Store, which Wizards says is the "fastest way" that a Mac port could happen, given their prior relationship with Epic. The publisher says that everything will be the same, including queues, formats and cards.
You'll also be able to authenticate via your Arena account and play with all of your prior purchases or earned content. As of now, there are "no plans" to support a standalone MacOS client, so just keep that in mind. It's also a "different client," so it may have its own bugs to work out.
There is also vague talk of Arena coming to mobile devices "later this year," then the trifecta will be complete.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is getting a remaster - report
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - perhaps the series' best ever entry - will be re-released later this year for PC and consoles - including Nintendo Switch.
That's according to a new Venturebeat report, which has although run through the seven games (some announced, some not) EA mentioned this week were coming to Switch before the end of 2020.
Burnout developer Criterion's Hot Pursuit is by far the standout - a brilliant cops versus robbers racer, it infused EA's flagging series with Burnout-style twist, making a hybrid of the two franchises.

SpongeBob: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is your childhood, but shinier
I never got SpongeBob Squarepants. When he was in his pomp, I was in that awkward pre-teen phase where I thought I was too old to just enjoy it as a cartoon, but not quite old enough to be part of the older folk that watched. Because of that, I never played Battle For Bikini Bottom when it first launched in 2003. I have a vague memory of it coming out, but it just looked like your bog-standard, middle-of-the-road, collect-a-thon 3D platformer to me. And, for the most part, it is.
Persona 4 Golden review
Most roleplaying games span continents, planets, even galaxies. Persona 4 Golden – the first of Atlus’s celebrated RPGs to make a belated landfall on PC – is set almost entirely inside a single town. It’s not even a very memorable town: neither a wistful Chosen One Village nor a bustling world hub, but a wilting suburb done up in Google Map shades of tarmac and drizzle, full of collapsing businesses, bitter old people and bored children.
We're bringing back two old school Destructoid shirts
Today, we’re proudly reintroducing two old school Destructoid shirt designs to our merch store – both of which were designed by Meanderbot; a highly talented member of our own community.
The first shirt is a reference to an old Dtoid podcast where there was an oft-repeated plea: “Be Better People.” In his blog post promoting the shirt, Meanderbot implies that he felt inspired by this message. When you pick up a Destructoid shirt, most proceeds go towards the artists, so show them some love!
The second of these shirts? Well, its inspirations are apparent from just a single glance, featuring Mr. Destructoid as the mascot for a specific Japan-exclusive attachment to a certain popular line of retro game consoles.
As with all other designs on our store, you can get them printed on mugs, phone cases, wall tapestries, and all sorts of other Destructoid collectibles.
We’ll be continuing to add more designs to our merch store over the next few weeks and months. Some of which are returning designs, others are entirely new. You may even see more stuff by some familiar faces from within our site’s community, so keep your eyes out for those!
Why FIFA 20 players are deliberately relegating themselves
Throughout the course of this year's FIFA game, Ultimate Team players have been doing something that on the face of it sounds counter-intuitive: deliberately relegating themselves.
This is not a new phenomenon in the world of Ultimate Team, but it has certainly ramped up with the release of FIFA 20. It's become a meme within the game's community, and popular FIFA streamers and YouTubers even recommend it to their followers.
So, why does self-relegating help you out? Well, this all revolves around Ultimate Team's Division Rivals mode, which is ostensibly the game's main online competitive ranked mode (the gruelling Weekend League is the place for the ultra hardcore and the best rewards). Division Rivals, which has, generally, been a huge success since its introduction with FIFA 19, sorts players out into divisions, with relegation and promotion and related rewards. The better you are at the game, the higher division you'll be in - or so the theory goes.

Here's our first look at Harvest Moon: One World
Since losing the rights to the BokujÅ Monogatari franchise, Natsume's Harvest Moon series has had difficulty finding its grounding. The publisher has tried games inspired by Minecraft, a return-to-roots top-down experience, and last year's delightful Mad Dash spin-off. But it's no longer the only farming game on the market. With the explosion of the genre from its niche origins, farm sims need to do whatever they can to stand out.
Harvest Moon: One World may be a step in the right direction for Natsume. The game was announced a few weeks ago, and during today's New Game+ Expo, we got our first look at what the publisher has in store.

Inti Creates is making another retro Bloodstained spinoff game
In case you forgot (and I get it, it was years ago!), Inti Creates was initially slated to help with a chunk of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's development work, but was moved off the project mid-stream.
Thankfully they were still able to contribute to the series in a meaningful way, crafting the Curse of the Moon retro spinoff; which was granted as a bonus to some backers and became a full standalone release on 3DS, PC, PS4, Switch, Vita and Xbox One (RIP 3DS and Vita). That universally beloved spinoff is getting a full sequel. Announced today during the New Game+ stream, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has been confirmed and will once again be handled by Inti Creates.
It's coming to PC (Steam), PS4, Switch and Xbox One "soon," and will contain a multi-episode storyline "supervised" by Koji 'IGA' Igarashi. Zangetsu will return as the lead alongside of "three brand new characters," a roster that includes Dominique (the spear-wielding exorcist from the main game), Robert (a marksman) and Hachi (a corgi who uses steampunk armor).
Ally swapping is in (with their own life bars) as is the return of ally-specific shortcuts. A casual mode is baked-in (on top of the default "veteran"), which provides unlimited lives and eliminates the enemy knockback effect (so you don't fall to your doom). It sounds like a tempered but additive approach, which is the classic Inti Creates touch.
I'm all in on the robot ride armor corgi: Inti Creates is on fire.
Cafe Enchante shouldn't be confused with that other game about serving coffee to strange creatures
Aksys Games is one of the more unpredictable publishers to take part in the New Game+ Expo. You never know quite what you're going to get from it. Over the past few years, it's published everything from Little Dragon's Café to Deadly Premonition Origins to the not-at-all confusingly named Under Night In-Brith EXE:Late[cl-r]. For the New Game+ Expo, however, it played up its collection of upcoming visual novels.
For the New Game+ Expo, Aksys went with some pretty obscure upcoming games, including Piofiore: Fated Memories, Tin & Kuna and Pretty Princess Party, as well as a really brief look at something called Escape from Asura. However, the reveal really speaking to me is Café Enchanté. Developed by Idea Factory, it casts players in the role of Kotone, who inherits her grandfather's café and discovers it serves a clientele of demons, angels, and other mythical creatures.
If this sounds a bit like this year's Coffee Talk, know the art style here is very different. I'm talking eight-pack abs on shirtless demons. Aksys is promising an uplifting tale when Café Enchanté launches on Nintendo Switch this fall.
