Curse of the Dead Gods’ Epic PC Launch Trailer Impresses; Console Release Confirmed

4 years 2 months ago

Passtech Games’ roguelike Curse of the Dead Gods looks scintillating in its Early Access Launch trailer today. The sequence highlights solid action-RPG combat and a unique visual style accentuated by a compelling soundtrack and setting. A console announcement trailer published in tandem confirms the game is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One at a later, unspecified date.

The developer tees up the game’s premise with its own synopsis:

“You seek untold riches, eternal life, divine powers – it leads to this accursed temple, a seemingly-infinite labyrinth of bottomless pits, deadly traps, and monsters. Your greed will lead you to death, but that is not an escape. Rise to fight again. Delve deeper again. Defy the malignant deities that linger in this place.

Battle through hordes of enemies in dark, cavernous passages filled with traps and secrets of all sorts – fire-spewing statues, explosives, hidden spikes, and worse. Collect mystical Relics and an arsenal of weapons to make yourself unstoppable. Corruption builds in you with every step – encourage or ignore it, but each powerful curse can be a double-edged sword.”

Passtech Games explains Curse of the Dead Gods’ Early Access period as helping the developer hone the experience according to player feedback before a full launch, which is planned for later in 2020.

As for what you can expect in the current version of the game, it’s described currently as having a “challenging curve, tight combat, and dozens of weapons, relics, curses, rooms, traps, and much more to discover. All the core systems are in place but in at-most-beta state. Major changes can and will happen based on your feedback, and we’re excited to get started.”

You Can Now Watch Hulu + Live TV On Your PS4

4 years 2 months ago

The US-based television subscription service Hulu has now added its “Hulu + Live Television” package to PS4’s list of media applications, the company announced today. It essentially serves as a replacement for Sony’s own PlayStation Vue, which had been the only streaming service the company allowed on the platform before shutting Vue down toward the end of last year.

It’s a decision that was blamed on the rising costs of live TV licenses, which saw a number of Vue price bumps that slowly began to negate its big advantage over traditional cable. With Sony out of the game, Hulu now offers something similar at a price point that should stay fairly steady thanks to the service’s increasing presence in the streaming space.

The Hulu and live TV bundle costs $54.99 per month and offers a number of live channels –ESPN, FOX, NBC, and ABC– in addition to the basic ad-free Hulu subscription. If you already have Hulu then you’re able to upgrade from your account settings menu.

As per Hulu’s own description:

“Hulu + Live TV is currently supported by Apple TV (4th generation), Amazon Fire TV devices, Amazon’s Echo Show, Roku devices, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, select LG and Samsung TVs, VIZIO SmartCast TVs, Windows 10, Mac and PC browsers, and Chromecast.”

Nekojishi: Lin & Partners Brings Our Favorite Furries to the Corporate World

4 years 2 months ago

We here at Twinfinite always love to name drop Nekojishi whenever we can. The free-to-play indie gem came out of nowhere when it first released on Steam a few years ago, making our dreams come true by coupling traditional dating sim elements with buff, gay kitties. It also had a theme song that rocks too damned hard for words.

Nekojishi told the tale of college nobody Liao, whose whole life was turned around when he discovered the latent ability to communicate with his ancestral spirits; mythical beings that come in the form of anthropomorphic cats. Like any rational man, once he realized this newfound power, his next big decision was which one he should seduce.

Equally coming out of nowhere, Studio Klondike has dropped a furry bombshell by announcing its long awaited sequel, Nekojishi: Lin & Partners, which will be available on PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch in 2021.

It continues the tale of Liao and his feline guardians, who have fallen on financial hardship since graduating. They resolve to enter the cutthroat world of architecture, encountering a bevy of mystical beasts who all seem to be really keen on the property market.

This New Official Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Hat is Clean as Can Be

4 years 2 months ago

Listen I have to admit, I’m very hyped for the return of Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy. There have been few PvP experiences in this generation that have been more intense than closing in and and then achieving that flawless Trials run and visiting The Lighthouse for that sweet Adept loot.

It sounds like, at least on paper, that Bungie is putting their full weight behind making sure Trials of Osiris isn’t a disaster like Trials of the Nine was. They are bringing back all the classic gear, at least one part of The Lighthouse, if not the whole thing, is going to be reserved for flawless card holders, and of course Elimination is the game mode of choice.

Most importantly, Bungie confirmed that artifact power level gains are not going to apply in Trials which is a huge relief.

What I’m low-key pumped about too though is this fresh looking Trials of Osiris hat that is going to be purchasable. Check it out below.

DuckTales: Remastered Is Heading Back to Digital Storefronts Today

4 years 2 months ago

Capcom is bringing its acclaimed and nostalgia-fueled platformer DuckTales: Remastered back to digital storefronts today, the publisher has announced over on its official blog page. After a hiatus of just over six months, the game is now once again available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC via Steam. Thanks for Backwards Compatibility, it’s also playable on Xbox One, too.

Modeled on platformers of old, DuckTales harkens back to the golden age of 8-bit platformers, even if it doesn’t handle quite as precisely as the Marios and Mega-Mans of the era. What it does offer is oodles of charm and pretty visuals, though, thanks to crisper performance, which further enhances its pretty hand-painted aesthetic.

Further adding to the Disney-magic-factor, the original voice talent reprise their roles from the cartoon, too.

Capcom tees up the game with its own description:

“Keeping with the gameplay of the 8-bit classic, you can platform and pogo-jump your way through fantastic locales while enjoying modern touches and gameplay improvements as Scrooge and family search for the five Legendary Treasures.”

You can check out some screenshots of DuckTales: Remastered below.

New Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy Trailer Shows Off Story, Exotics, Trials Gear & More

4 years 2 months ago

Today Bungie released a new gameplay trailer that reveals a bit more of what is going on with Rasputin and Season of the Worthy’s story beats, in addition to showing off new guns, armor, emotes, exotics and lots of other goodies.

Let’s watch it first shall we?

A lot going on there. First we learn that The Almighty, the big star destroying ship that threatened the Solar System way back in vanilla Destiny 2 is on a collision course with Earth thanks to the Cabal. The only thing we can think up to stop it is to finally fully arm Rasputin and, if I had to guess, blow it the F’ up.

While we sort of did that in the Warmind DLC back in Year 1, I guess this time around we’re doing for real. Maybe we just turned Rasputin back on, and now we’re giving him all of his toys back.

The new Season of the Worthy landing page and roadmap provides a little more insight as to what players can expect. It looks as though that the “seasonal activity” for this month is going to be Seraph Tower and Bunkers, which appears to be an advanced or updated version of Escalation Protocol that will take place across Earth, Io and the Moon over the course of the season.

10 Characters Who Could Take a Punch from Saitama & Live to Tell the Tale

Granblue Fantasy Versus Celebrates North American Release With Narmaya & Beelzebub DLC Trailers

4 years 2 months ago

Today Xseed Games released Cygames’ and Arc System Works’ fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus in North America and it’s celebrating with new trailers.

The new trailers feature DLC characters Beelzebub and Narmaya, which have been released at the same time as the game.

It’s worth mentioning that they were not day-one DLC in Japan and Asia, where they have been released today as well, while the game hit the shelves on February 6.

Beelzebub costs $2.99, while Narmaya is priced at $6.99. They are also included in the first character pass, which costs $29.99.

The reason behind the difference in price is due to the fact that Beelzebub can actually be unlocked for free if you clear the game’s RPG mode (and there really is no reason why you shouldn’t).

The rest of the Character Pass includes Soriz and Djeeta, while the fifth fighter is Zooey, as leaked this morning by Sony itself.

You can watch the trailers below.

New FIFA 20 Update Reduces Effectiveness of Overload Ball Side Tactic

4 years 2 months ago

FIFA 20‘s Update 12 is available now and makes an often requested change to an over-powered gameplay tactic, Overload Ball Side.

With the d-pad, you can select an option that makes your whole team shuffle over to the side of the pitch that the ball is in when defending, with the aim being to suffocate the team in possession and pressure them into turning it over.

However, when combined with drop back, one depth, and high press tactics, it made it almost impossible to counter and it had almost no downside, but hopefully that changes today. The changes outlined in the patch notes are:

  • Increased the impact of the Overload Ball Side D-Pad Tactic on in-game Stamina.
  • Increased the impact of the Constant Pressure D-Pad Tactic on in-game Stamina in order to match the impact of Overload Ball Side.

Otherwise, Update 12 doesn’t make many changes, as you’d historically expect from a post-new year FIFA patch.

An issue with the displayed quick sell value of Squad Fitness items has been fixed, CONMEBOL competitions have been added to Career Mode and Kick Off, as well as giving it a mode of its own, and 17 new Star Heads have been added.

Other than that, there’s very little of note. You can see the full patch notes here.

The update can be downloaded in FIFA 20 now on PC and console and comes it at around 5GB, thanks to the Copa Libertadores content that’s included.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Release Prompts Cygames to End Sponsorship of Daigo Umehara’s eSport Team

4 years 2 months ago

Tokyo-based developer Cygames announced with a press release that it’s ending the sponsorship of its eSport team Cygames Beast following the release of Granblue Fantasy Versus.

Cygames Beast is well-known among fighting game fans for including world-famous professional players like Daigo Umehara, PR Balrog, GamerBee, Fuudo, and more.

With the release of Granblue Fantasy Versus, Cygames has joined the club of fighting game developers, and they decided that “continuing to sponsor a professional fighting game team may generate conflicts of interest, which would adversely affect the players.”

The developer also mentions that it “largely achieved” what it set out to do when it started sponsoring the team.

Cygames thanked the players for their hard work and dedication, and the fans for their support.

Granblue Fantasy Versus  launched on February 6 in Japan and Asia for PS4, and today in North America. The European release on Sony’s console will come on March 27, while the PC version will launch worldwide on March 13.

PS Now’s March Titles Announced and They’re Actually Very Good

4 years 2 months ago

A new batch of PlayStation 4 games are coming to Sony’s PS Now streaming service this month and the three titles are surprisingly very good, like Game Pass-level good.

In a new blog post on the official PlayStation Blog, the senior marketing manager for PS Now, Brian Dunn, confirmed that Eidos Montréal’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Remedy’s Control, and MachineGames’ Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be available on the service starting today.

PS Now subscribers will be able to stream these games by using an internet connection or you can choose to download them straight to your PS4 console. It’s worth noting that these titles can only be played on PS4 and not on PC.

Control and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available until August 31 but it seems that The New Colossus will stay on the service for much longer.

If you’re not subscribed to PS Now, the service lets you stream PS2, PS3, and PS4 games from the cloud for $9.99 a month. Only PS2 and PS4 games can be downloaded to your console though.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Review – Untapped Potential

4 years 2 months ago

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows on PS4

Anime games run the gamut in quality, but most tend to fall into a comfortable niche of being passable enough for fans to enjoy. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is one such game, presenting interesting ideas for an adaptation of the iconic anime series but never fleshing them out enough to achieve anything worthwhile for those not interested in the One Punch Man universe.

Set during the events of One Punch Man’s first season, the game sees players take the role of their own created character. As said character, they’re tasked with completing jobs for the hero association, which run the gamut from fetch quests for characters in a small over-world to battling created characters who play the role of villains, monsters, and thugs.

After completing enough tasks for the Association, players are allowed to assist in missions tied to the series’ plot, encountering villains from the show and teaming up with iconic heroes like Saitama, Genos and Mumen Rider to take them out.

It’s a pretty standard set-up for an anime tie-in game, and as far as story modes for fighting titles go, it gets the job done well enough.

In execution though, this approach leaves something to be desired. For every one mission tied to the game’s plot, or fight which really gives players the chance to flex their skills they’ve gained with the game, there are a slew of side missions the player needs to complete first.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s Roguelike Mode Replaced With Randomizer

4 years 2 months ago

The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Even when a game like Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night blows past its funding goals and is released to glowing reviews, not every feature promised during its Kickstarter campaign comes to fruition.

Yesterday, Koji Igarashi revealed via Kickstarter update that Bloodstained’s promised Roguelike mode has been cancelled. The mode, which was a $5,000,000 stretch goal, is no longer being developed because “the code that was created early in the game’s development is not currently compatible with this type of gameplay.” Apparently, Roguelike mode would have featured a procedurally generated castle and was a major culprit behind the incompatibility issues.

However, this turn of events is not a total loss, as the development team has been working on a different mode to replace the now-abandoned roguelike dungeon: Randomizer.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with randomizers, they are special mods (or in this case, official game modes) that swap the placements of items and enemies in games, so you never know what you will encounter and when.

Bloodstained’s Randomizer mode will let players choose eight different parameters, including what items drop from specific enemies, save and warp rooms locations, and item crafting recipe requirements. Moreover, the Randomizer game mode will feature a timer that keeps track of a player’s progress.

Nomura: Final Fantasy VII Remake Won’t Overwrite the Original; Voice Acting Required Two Studios

4 years 2 months ago

Today, Famitsu published interview with Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura, who talked about the comparison with the original.

Nomura-san mentioned that the release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake won’t overwrite the original, which is simply the origin.

He hopes that fans can think of the Final Fantasy VII Remake as a new Final Fantasy VII that exists thanks to the original.

As for the original fans, he would like them to be able to enjoy both the new and the nostalgic parts of the game, and to feel the same way of those who play Final Fantasy VII for the first time.

Speaking of differences with the original, Nomura-san mentioned that there are lots of conversations during battles, which made recording challenging. At the peak, there were nine recording sessions a week.

Asked how that is possible since there are only seven days a week, Nimyra-san explained that they had to record in two studios at the same time. The amount of lines they had to record was unprecedented.

If you’d like to see and learn more about the game, you can play the demo released today. The full game has gone gold, and we have an extensive hands-on-preview for your perusal.

She was already rumored as an upcoming DLC, but it’s nice to have confirmation.

Of course, Zoey has not been announced officially yet, but there are very few doubts left.

Mario Kart Tour Multiplayer Launches in Full Next Week

4 years 2 months ago

Nintendo’s mobile kart racer spin-off Mario Kart Tour launched back in September of last year missing one major feature: multiplayer. Now, after the conclusion of several beta test periods, the mode is finally ready for a full launch. Nintendo has today revealed that multiplayer will be available worldwide from March 8 at 11 PM EST.

The news comes by way of Nintendo’s official social media channel, which included two images alongside the announcement breaking down the various modes on offer to players.

As you can see from the images in the Tweet, Mario Kart Tour’s multiplayer will be split across three different tiers. Gold Class, the most prestigious, is only available to those with MKT Gold Pass subscriptions.

A second image highlights the breakdown of each mode’s ruleset, with the casual mode offering the ability to tweak rulesets with a level of customization similar to that of the mainline console series.

These New Cyberpunk 2020 Miniatures are Totally Badass

4 years 2 months ago

With Cyberpunk 2077’s hotly-anticipated launch fast-approaching, developer CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG is firmly on the mind of most sci-fi role-playing enthusiasts. But there’s plenty going on in the world of Cyberpunk Red, too, the latest edition of the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG series on which the upcoming video game is based. Namely, some extremely cool miniatures designed by Monster Fight Club.

The new line includes five miniatures of various classes, some of which you’ll recognize even if you’re not familiar with the tabletop series that has been running since the mid-1990s.

In particular, the Netrunner class is definitely in-tune with CD Projekt Red’s own character designs for augmented mercenaries that main protagonist V spends his/her time with.

You can check out the full gallery of all five below, which includes Netrunner, Nomad, Rockerboy, and Blade Runner-esque Lawman. If you look closely you’ll see various augmentations on the Netrunner, Nomad, and Rockerboy.

Apex Legends Season 4 Patch Brings Gibraltar Nerf and Heirloom Crafting

4 years 2 months ago

To all those players who’ve lost one-on-one gunfights against Gibraltar in Season 4, this one’s for you. The jokes on Reddit have finally reached the dev team, so the upcoming Apex Legends patch will include a Gibraltar nerf, Heirloom crafting, and inventory changes.

Respawn just put out a dev stream detailing upcoming Season 4 adjustments since the System Override Collection Event is on its way. The Apex Legends Season 4 official patch notes will be released tomorrow, so for now, we’ll have to make do.

First things first, a few buffs and nerfs were discussed in the stream. The health on Gibraltar’s gun shield will go from 75 down to 50 in order to make 1v1 situations more fair, and Bloodhound will now be able to scan three times farther than before.

To balance the scan buff, Bloodhound now takes twice as long to activate it, so it’ll be harder to use in the middle of gunfights. Speaking of scanning, Crypto’s adjustment will cause his primaries to be auto-reloaded whenever he sends out his drone.

The other gameplay changes made have to do with player inventory. The inventory will now start off with 10 spaces, but stacks of ammo, shield items, grenades, and healing items will be reduced.

Shield cells and syringes will drop from six to four in a stack, while med kits and shield batteries go to two, and grenades to one. This was done to reduce grenade spam at the end of matches while providing more room to carry other items.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Preview: We Played Chapters 1, 2, & 7, and Loved It

4 years 2 months ago

Back at E3 2019 I had the opportunity to get my first crack at Final Fantasy VII Remake. I have to be honest, I was extremely skeptical. I’m not a massive fan of action-RPGs. I enjoyed Final Fantasy XV as a whole, but I felt the combat was the game’s weakest asset, and I was a bit scared that FFVII Remake would play like FFXV with a FFVII skin.

Not only does it not play like Final Fantasy XV – it’s much less clunky – but we also learned later on that there would be a Classic Mode that will allow players to just focus on inputting commands while Cloud, Barrett, Tifa, and company focus on moving around and building up the ATB.

Classic Mode is a big deal to many fans, but let’s first talk about what I did get to play in the three or so hours with Final Fantasy VII Remake last week that isn’t in the demo that was released today.

The Witcher Netflix Casts Kim Bodnia as Vesemir

4 years 2 months ago

Netflix has revealed its casting choice for the role of Vesemir in the upcoming second season of its hugely popular The Witcher, and it isn’t Mark Hamill. Despite having been heavily rumored as a front-runner, The School of Wolf’s oldest practitioner will instead be played by Danish actor and director Kim Bodnia.

Netflix made the announcement earlier this week via its social media channels.

Bodnia is best known for his ongoing role as Konstantin Vasiliev in the British spy-thriller Killing Eve. He’s also directed productions such as Escape and The Tailor’s Tale.

A press release includes comments from Showrunner Lauren. S. Hissrich, who said of the announcement:

“I am so thrilled to welcome Kim Bodnia to the cast of The Witcher. I have admired his unique talents in shows like Killing Eve and The Bridge, and cannot wait for him to bring strength, tenacity, and warmth to the character of Vesemir, who is such an integral part of our upcoming season.”

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door but in the Style of Persona 5

4 years 2 months ago

We all know that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is hands-down the best Paper Mario game out there (sorry Sticker Star) and one fan of the turn-based GameCube RPG has been working on some very high-quality animations but in the style of Persona 5 and the result is something wonderful.

According to their Twitter profile, @KrusperAnims is a 16-year-old artist who happens to be a big fan of the Paper Mario and Persona franchises. They originally tweeted this video yesterday and since then, it has garnered lots of attention (if you want to see the higher-quality YouTube video, just head to the bottom of this article):

As you can see, Krusper has re-done the all-out attack from Persona 5 but with the lovely cast members of The Thousand Year Door, along with the negotiation sequence too.

Ghostrunner Is Hotline Miami Meets Titanfall Meets Mirrors Edge Meets… (Hands-On Preview)

4 years 2 months ago

Ghostrunner is a first-person action game that oozes with style, polish, and lots and lots of blood. I spent about 20 minutes playing through an early section of the game and I can confidently say that this indie title feels more like a full-blown AAA experience that I can compare to Respawn’s Titanfall and DICE’s Mirror’s Edge.

Ghostrunner has you running through linear-ish sections to take down the enemies that are scattered about the level. Each of the enemies that I fought only had a blaster equipped on them but these would be fired off every second or so, forcing me to constantly be on the move to avoid death.

And I died a lot in Ghostrunner because if you get hit even once, you lose and must restart the section. Luckily, the respawns are almost instantaneous similar to Hotline Miami so I never felt any push back from the game –if I died, it was my fault and it was my job to find a more effective route or use a different method of murder.

Conan Exiles “Paid Expansion” Announced; Funcom Plans to Invest $30-50 Million in New Dune Game

4 years 2 months ago

Today Funcom hosted its quarterly financial conference and they shared more information about Conan Exiles and the upcoming Dune survival game.

We hear from CEO Rui Casai and CFO Stian Drageset that Conan Exiles is continuing to show strong performance as a game-as-a-service.

We also hear that the game is continuing to improve engagement over time. December was the best month for the game in terms of average PC users since the game’s launch in January 2017.

Casais mentioned that the reaction from players to the introduction of mounts in December has been good, leading to considerably higher player activity in December and January. The steam rating of the game has also been increasing.

The developer plans to continue releasing DLC, and even more interestingly, they revealed that a “paid expansion” is in the works, coming in the second half of 2020.

They’ll talk more about it when the time is right. While it’s exciting, they cannot say much because “even saying that there is one, is something that the team prefers to keep under wraps.”

That being said, Casais also hinted at the end of the conference that this may be related to a “map.”

Speaking of the Dune open-world survival game, it’s currently in pre-production. The estimated investment budget for the game is $30-50 Million, which is bigger compared to Conan Exiles.

In the current phase, the development team is fleshing out what the game is going to be, and when that’s done, they will have a more concrete idea of the final budget.

New Half-Life: Alyx Gameplay Clips Showcase Movement Options, Combat, & More

4 years 2 months ago

Three gameplay clips –currently unlisted over on Valve’s YouTube channel— provide a substantial first-look at what’s to come in the developer hotly anticipated VR shooter Half-Life: Alyx.

Simply called Gameplay Video 1/2/3, the (unexpected) clips, which appear to be scenes from a random point within its game and do not give away any story spoilers, showcase how VR combat and movement will work according to player preference — in particular, the option to either teleport using a click and go system, move freely, or use the “shift” motion system.

The first video demonstrates teleportation:

The second clip showcases what Valve calls “continuous locomotion” (free movement):

New Uncharted Movie Cast & Crew Details; Antonio Banderas Possibly Set to Star

4 years 2 months ago

The Uncharted has taken a long time to swing into action, but it looks as though it’s finally happening. After having its script rewritten and losing a number of directors along the way (most recently, Travis Knight), the latest iteration of its production seems likely to press on as it confirms cast and crew members. Namely, Hollywood star Antonio Banderas is set to play a central role, and the film is to be directed by Ruben Fleischer (“Venom”).

Production is being handled by Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Atlas Entertainment, as well as Avi Arad and Ari Arad for Arad Productions. On the PlayStation side, Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will serve as executive producers for PlayStation Productions.

The information comes by way of a Variety report earlier today. The outlet also claims that “Sophia Ali and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Tati Gabrielle have also boarded the film.”

None of the actual roles have yet been confirmed, but you’d imagine that Banderas is set to play a central role given his pedigree.

Antonio Banderas was recently nominated for an Oscar following his performance in Pedro Almodovar’s “Pain and Glory.” As noted by Variety, Banderas has a long-standing history with Sony Pictures, having starred in several of its films, including Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and The Mask of Zorro.

Today’s report follows on from another toward the end of 2019 by Deadline that broke the news of director Travis Knight’s departure from the project and the Uncharted film’s potential release date push-back from the proposed Dec. 18, 2020, release date.

Let it Die Slashes Past 6 Million Downloads; New In-Game Event to Celebrate

4 years 2 months ago

Let it Die, the hack-and-slash roguelike directed by esteemed developer Goichi Suda, has today surpassed six million downloads across PS4 and PC. The news comes by way of a press release from publisher GungHo Online Entertainment and developer Grasshopper.

Kazuki Morishita, President & CEO of GOE said of the milestone:

“We owe it entirely to our dedicated fanbase, our ‘senpais’, for getting behind Let It Die and making this milestone possible.

The journey with them has been a pleasure as we have watched the game grow – just imagine the sheer amount of Death Data out there!”

Let it Die’s continued popularity is actually at odds with its middling critical reception. At launch, it was criticized for its rough-around-the-edges UI and wonky PvP mechanics, but solid post-launch support has since ironed out many of those kinks.

In fact, to celebrate today’s download milestone news, a new in-game event is said to be on the way later today. We’ll keep you posted with details as and when they’re made available.

Let it Die was first released on PS4 back in 2016 before coming to PC two years later in 2018. Today’s sales update follows on from news of it breaking the one million mark in 2017, and then the four million milestone a year after that.
