TMNT: Mutant Mayhem Trailer Reveals a New, Inexperienced Team

1 year 2 months ago

TMNT Mutant Mayhem First Trailer

Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The video showcased an inexperienced variation of the crime-fighting turtles. Scenes show them goofing around and explaining their origins to their iconic human ally, April O’Neil.

You can watch the TMNT: Mutant Mayhem teaser trailer here:
https://youtu.be/P5XBy6lMfWE

Seth Rogen is in charge of this TMNT: Mutant Mayhem reboot, which will show the experiences of the turtles finally entering the world and starting to fight crime. This first look mainly shows the youthful nature of the group. The brothers record stunts and get hurt while trying to use their weapons. Also, the bad guys in New York City don’t seem to recognize them yet. The art style also stands out, as it resembles a comic book interpretation with a mixture of 3D and 2D CGI elements.

Paramount also confirmed many of the voice actors for the TMNT: Mutant Mayhem main cast. It includes:

Ted Lasso Star Reveals Third Season Likely Their Final Fixture

1 year 2 months ago

Rather sad news for all the Ted Lasso fans out there, but it looks like the series might be headed toward the end with the third season. This had been rumored for a while, but it’s now been confirmed by Jason Sudeikis, the actor who plays the main character. This is surely a bummer for many, but there’s a silver lining that he shares.

In the exclusive from Deadline, Sudeikis says, “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell.” So even if it’s sad it’s coming to an end, at least the cast and crew are going out happy for the journey and glad they got to tell the full story as intended.

The end of this series doesn’t close the door on potential spin-offs, either, and Sudeikis furthers this in another quote shared by Deadline.

Yeah, I think that we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks…to get to watch the further telling of these stories,” he said. “Again, I can’t help but take the question as flattery for what all of us that were working on the show has tried to do. It’s really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what’s gonna happen when you make things. The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different avenue is lovely

PSA: Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Bug Might Corrupt Your Save

1 year 2 months ago

pokemon scarlet violet bug

A number of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players found a bug in the new patch has irreparably corrupted their save files. Apparent causes include buying the DLC, downloading the DLC, or connecting to Pokemon GO. Starting a new game is fine, which means the game is not broken. But until Nintendo releases a patch addressing the issue, players should avoid downloading the DLC or syncing to Pokemon GO. [Thanks, Kotaku!]

As of the time of writing, only about a dozen players have reported losing their save files. Not all of them connected to Pokemon GO. In the original Reddit post, one poster stated that you cannot even recover the backup save. Some who have lost their save files reached out to Nintendo. However, Nintendo’s response was that it was looking into it, so there is no official fix yet.

This Simple Apex Legends Trick is the Perfect Counter to the Infamous Forced Reload Exploit

1 year 2 months ago

Apex Legends players – especially those with a penchant for the game’s Ranked mode – have been dismayed and frustrated in recent days by an ‘infinite reload’ hack that is ruining matches for the average player. While a fix is coming, there’s a simple trick players can use in the meantime to counter the infamous reload hack in Apex Legends

The issue, as it sounds, sees hacking players force enemies into consecutive reloads, even when their weapon has plenty of ammo left in its magazine.

However, one Redditor has figured out a fix that can be used temporarily. Specifically, players should always try and carry a L-STAR EMG. The reason is that the L-STAR possesses a slightly different reload animation to most weapons and, resultantly, breaks players out of the infinite reload cycle that is more than likely to see them eliminated.

As the player’s video demonstrated, their R-301 was plagued by the infinite reloading, but pulling out the L-STAR and reloading it quickly nipped the cycle in the bud.

Apex Legends Rumors Point to Revenant Rework Straight Out of Titanfall

1 year 2 months ago

Since Apex Legends’ release way back in early 2019, some Legends – think Bangalore and Wraith – have been eternally popular. Others, though – think Revenant and Rampart – have long been languishing at the lower end of the Legend pick-rates

That’s why recent weeks have seen rumors of major Legend changes and, now, information suggests that Revenant’s rework could be straight out of Titanfall.

Right now, Revenant’s Passive is ‘Stalker’, letting the skeletal Legend climb higher and faster than other Legends. However, leaks and rumors suggest that a reworked Revenant – codenamed ‘Revenant Reborn’ – will be coming in a future update.

While exhaustive details are not available, the Synthetic Nightmare’s ‘reborn’ version will allegedly receive a new Passive Ability that will allow him to wall-run infinitely. The information was shared by Apex YouTuber bobz in a March 6 video and has been echoed by reputable data miner and leaker ThordanSmash.

One Piece on Ice Show Will Take Place in Summer 2023

1 year 2 months ago

one piece on ice

For the first time in history, you will be able to see the One Piece pirates kicking butt and taking names on ice, rather than the sea. The One Piece on Ice show will take place some time during Summer 2023. More concrete information on dates or ticket prices will appear later on.

There is very little information on the One Piece on Ice show. For example, aside from not knowing when it will be or how much it will cost, we also don’t know what arc it will cover. In fact, it might even have an original story, much like One Piece movies or games. However, since the show will be in Summer 2023, it is likely that we will see more promotional content of it in the near future.

One Piece has been a juggernaut piece of media since its inception in 1997. Though this is the first time that it has appeared on ice, there have been multiple adaptations of the story. As mentioned earlier, there have been many movies and games based on the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventures. As well, there are a wide variety of figures of the characters.

One Piece on Ice will take place in Summer 2023. More information will appear on its official website in the future.

Earthbound Evil Mani Mani Statue Pre-Orders Open

1 year 2 months ago

Earthbound Evil Mani Mani Statue

Fans of Earthbound will have a chance to induct their shelf into Happy Happyism soon. On March 8, 2023, pre-orders will open for a "life-size" replica of the Earthbound Evil Mani Mani statue in Japan. Mother series creator Shigesato Itoi's Hobonichi Mother Project created the item, based on a one-off replica used for events. According to the press release, Itoi received an "overwhelming" amount of interest from fans who wanted their own copy. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

Like the original, the Earthbound Evil Mani Mani statue is based on the item (and enemy) from Earthbound (a.k.a. Mother 2). It's also known as the "Mani Mani Demon", and is a shiny, golden statue. It stands about 30 cm tall (about 1 foot), and is described as having a "heavy, comfortable weight." The statue depicts a horned figure (the Evil Mani Mani) standing straight and holding a sword in its hands. The bottom of the statue's base has the Mother logo engraved on it. A special sticker with the character "封" (for "Seal") is included with every purchase, in case one is concerned that the statue's ominous appearance may actually be unlucky.

Review: Trails to Azure Closes Out the Crossbell Chronicles

1 year 2 months ago

For those following The Legend of Heroes games since XSEED picked up The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Trails to Azure is something to be celebrated. While the reliable stream of recent releases is appreciated, it wasn’t always such a given. The Crossbell duo is a long absent missing piece, only rectified after Trails from Zero finally appeared worldwide in 2022, 12 years after its original PSP debut. Trails to Azure is a long-awaited piece of a puzzle providing context fans longed for, and as expected it’s a solid conclusion and appreciated RPG.

That is, for people who do have all this context. This isn’t for people who haven’t played Trails from Zero or, ideally, kept up with the Crossbell, Liberl, and Erebonian Empire events. Go play the first game or one of the other titles and come back in 120-360 hours.

Trails to Azure even begins with a story segment that helps tie it to the first game and wrap that “case” up a bit more clearly. Lloyd Bannings and Noel Seeker are working with Alex Dudley and Arios MacLaine to apprehend Ernest Reis and Hartmann, who are apparently after the vestiges of the D∴G Cult’s power. So right away, you’re seeing the Special Support Section (SSS) leader, the soon-to-be-SSS-member but still current Crossbell Guardian Force person, a Crossbell Police inspector, and a Bracer’s Guild A-rank member all working together. Not to mention the Gralsritter Dominion Kevin Graham pops up at the end, introducing a number of different factions coming into play.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure Review – Finally Getting the Full Picture

1 year 2 months ago

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure on PS4

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure marks something of a big milestone for the franchise, as it means that after 19 years, all of the games in the first two Trails arcs have been localized. With this release, fans of the series can enjoy the second half of the Crossbell story with an official translation. Those who have played through the Cold Steel series might still be a little put off that there’s no English dub considering every character in the game has an English voice actor in a later game, but if this is what it took to get an official translation, it’s worth it.

Graphically, Trails to Azure is impressive for an 11-year-old PSP game, but the fixed-up graphics are slightly confusing, as some textures will be nice and crisp while others look like blurry nothings. If it were just paths or floors, it wouldn’t mean anything, but there are contextual signs for important areas that could’ve easily been retouched as well.

As far as the story goes, It’s been several months since the events of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and the SSS (Special Support Section) team has been slightly fractured after the previous game’s events. The story starts with only Lloyd Bannings and Elie MacDowell returning to the SSS. However, they are joined by Noel Seeker and Wazy Hemisphere as interim members while Tio Plato and Randy Orlando are away dealing with the fallout of the DG Cult incident.

New Valorant Update Fixes Input Latency, But There’s a Catch; Full Patch 6.04 Notes

1 year 2 months ago

This week sees the launch of Valorant’s latest update, which comes in tandem with the second season of Episode 6. While the big news is the addition of new Agent Gekko, there’s also a small tweak to thread synchronization that will reduce the input latency. There’s a caveat, though.

The update is only set to make an impact for those who run VSYNC, which, let’s be honest, isn’t very many of us. VSYNC is a feature that mitigates screen-tearing by locking a game to a certain FPS, but it typically increases input latency and so isn’t recommended for shooters. At least for those who are forced to run VSYNC due to tearing, the latency is reduced. Only slightly, though! Here are the full patch notes:

AGENT UPDATES

Gekko goes live!

  • Learn his abilities on our Agents page.
  • Watch the latest Initiator and his friends take on Los Angeles in the launch trailer.

PERFORMANCE UPDATES

  • Updated thread synchronisation to reduce input latency.
    • Input latency has been improved by ~1 frame for players who meet all of the following criteria:
      • They do not have NVIDIA Reflex/AMD Anti-Lag available/enabled.
      • They have multithreaded rendering enabled.
      • They use VSYNC.

BUGS

Agents

  • Fixed bug where if Sage’s Barrier Orb was damaged while fortifying, it would fortify to full health instead of going to max health minus the damage that was dealt during fortification

Divorce Attorney Shin Is Filling the Extraordinary Attorney Woo-Shaped Hole in My Heart

1 year 2 months ago

I’m not typically one to chase the latest and hottest Korean dramas on the block, so imagine my surprise when I found myself completely captivated by 2022’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Like everyone else around the world, I was completely taken in by Woo Young Woo’s endearing personality, charm, and strong sense of justice. I’m also a huge Ace Attorney fan (though it’s all murders in that series), which naturally means I’m a sucker for a good law drama from time to time.

So when Extraordinary Attorney Woo came to an end and the news broke that its season 2 renewal won’t come till 2024 at the very earliest, I was, of course, heartbroken. And then Divorce Attorney Shin happened.

Look, I won’t lie to you. While we’re still in the early days and there’s literally only one episode out right now, Divorce Attorney Shin doesn’t quite capture the charm of Extraordinary Woo. Actress Park Eun-bin delivered such a magnetic performance as the autistic lawyer, and made the character feel full of life and a sense of eager innocence that was hard to look away from. On the flipside, Divorce Attorney Shin’s protagonist Shin Sung-Han is much more cynical, but that can come with a different kind of charm as well.

Pedro Pascal Has Taken Over Hollywood & We’re All Completely Okay With That

1 year 2 months ago

Pedro Pascal has captured Hollywood’s heart with iconic roles and impactful performances. His onscreen presence lures fans in with the chemistry he forms with his costars creating unmistakable magic.

Whether trying to right a wrong, protect those he loves, or gleefully obsess over another superstar, Pascal delivers charismatic smiles and sincere words to connect with an audience. This magnetic personality translates well onscreen, which makes his performances inspiring – even when things don’t always go to plan for those characters.

One of Pedro Pascal’s most memorable roles was his tenure as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones. Appearing in seven episodes in Season 4, Oberyn was to be Tyrion Lannister’s savior in combat against the massive brute force of a man Gregor Clegane. The episode The Mountain and the Viper highlighted their ultimate showdown where Pascal’s Oberyn, labeled as the Viper, looks to be the first and only person to slay Gregor the Mountain.

A Giant Red Rift Is Looming Over Fortnite’s Island Ahead of Chapter 4 Season 2

1 year 2 months ago

As everyone knows, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is in its final days, and the cracks are finally starting to show. All season fans have been drawn to the circular Star Gate at the top of the Warden’s Watch landmark tower. It seems that vigilance was actually justified, as the gate is now absolutely destroyed with this odd red rift that can be seen in the sky from everywhere.

Besides the wreckage, the clear sign that the Warden’s Watch was the genesis of this rift is the thin red trail leading up from the center of the tower. While this current map was only recently cobbled together at the start of season one, the rift looks posed to rip it apart again.

With the lack of a finale event, fans likely won’t get to directly experience whatever bad things are coming due to the rift, but the launch trailer for the new season promises to be epic. One of the hallmarks of Fortnite chapters is that they eventually sink into some cataclysm, such as with the chrome that later destroyed chapter three.

As things are now very clearly headed toward the end, players should be focusing on clearing out some of the game’s final few quests for their rewards, such as those for the Cipher questline. Right now, everything you do is under the creepily watchful eye of this new feature in the sky that may very well be a threat.

With the last day of season one fast approaching, tomorrow might see some sort of evolution of this rift to give players a solid hint about its true purpose.

Square Enix shared the full 6.35 patch notes for FFXIV, which go over the newly introduced Loporrit Tribal Quests, Eureka Orthos quests, Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, more Manderville Weapons, and Splendorous Tools. In addition, this marks the debut of Furnishing Design Contest 2019 additions and orchestrion rolls. Players can also collect more Triple Triad cards and face more NPCs. New Genshin Impact Story Teaser Finally Gives More Information About its Witches

1 year 2 months ago

Genshin Impact officially released more information about the Hexenzirkel, the coven of witches, or mages, in the game. The two-minute-long story teaser confirms many leaks while giving players a new look at what’s coming up in the story after this year’s Windblume’s Breathe Event

The first bit of the trailer goes into the fact that the Hexenzirkel is actually a secret society that’s quite powerful – it challenged the Anemo Archon, Barbatos, at some point in history. However, Barbatos asked them to “resolve our conflicts through song,” and the group has lived by that statement since.

Well, almost. The trailer explained that the mages come together over tea parties in order to solve their differences while vowing to never fight each other (perhaps a bit of foreshadowing).

The trailer also gave us an update on who is actually in the Hexenzirkel. Five of them were named: Alice, Ivanovna, Rhinedottir, Andersdotter, and Barbeloth. However, there are seven place settings at the tea party, which means there are two more characters that aren’t named.

Warzone 2 Players Hit Out at “Rigged” Stats Still Broken in Season Two

1 year 2 months ago

Warzone 2’s second season, after significant clamor from the player base, brought stats to the battle royale sequel. While disappointment centered on the fact that Season One’s stats were lost to the ether, there’s now frustration among the community over stats that, weeks into Season Two, still aren’t working as intended.

We’ve seen reports of wins not tracking correctly but, for some players, it’s the exact opposite issue. One player on Reddit described the stats as “rigged” because they’ve been awarded a series of Warzone victories that they’ve never actually had.

Their post consisted of a screenshot showing five Solo wins, despite the player insisting they’ve “never won a single Solos”.

Other players flocked to the comments to relay similar experiences, with one player claiming: “I have only 1 actual win since stats started to track but my stats say I have 7. Definitely something wrong.”

Another player joked: “They promised stats. They didn’t promise stats will be accurate.”

Capcom Drops a Resident Evil 4 Text-Based Prequel ‘Baby Eagle Is Missing’

1 year 2 months ago

With three weeks to go until the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, it seems Capcom isn’t just sitting back and resting in the meantime. A new text-based ARG (Alternate Reality Game) has dropped called Baby Eagle is Missing, which is a very obvious code phrase referring to the kidnapping of the president’s daughter, Ashley Graham.

As Resident Evil 4 starts sometime after her kidnapping, this is the first time there’s actually been some detailed backstory on how it all went down, as that’s a pretty high-profile crime to pull off.

The post on the Resident Evil 4 Reddit by SpecialAgentGreene says:

We need every able body available on this. We are moving every available asset to assist, including all Handlers and Analysts with digital intel experience.

We need you working on this immediately. Whoever did this may want to leave the country, so you’ll be assigned to analyze evidence and advise our agents as to their next moves. Hopefully we can figure out what’s going on to catch up to her before it’s too late

The post then leads to the Baby Eagle is Missing website for the player, serving the role of a rookie handler, to begin.

All Dead Space Universe Games, Ranked

1 year 2 months ago

In a universe where the dead don’t die, but instead transform into hideous killer monstrosities a ‘la John Carpenter’s The Thing, you’d be hard pressed trying to get much shut eye. After all, it’s not just the undead that you’ve got to worry about, but the psychological stress of otherworldly forces, like the mysterious and enigmatic Red Marker, for instance.

Indeed, while the lore of the Dead Space franchise is overflowing with iconic sci-fi horror influences, it’s fair to say that not all of the games in the beloved series were created equal. In fact, the disparity in quality between them is surprisingly as vast as the vacuum of space. So, with all that in mind, here’s our ranking of all the games in the Dead Space universe.

Spoilers aside, chapter 121 focused on Asa’s interactions with the mysterious Hirofumi. He conveyed an important message to her. After that, we got to see Denji come to a decision again. That followed with Asa finding herself in an unexpected situation.

Chapter 122 picks up with Hirofumi again. This time, he’s meeting with another character who readers have seen before at Fourth East High School. This meeting hints at a new conflict for this arc. Note that there are graphic depictions of violence and death in this chapter.

As is common for both Manga Plus and Viz Media, people can temporarily read chapter 122 of the Chainsaw Man manga. The first three chapters and three most recent ones are always free on both services. When chapter 125 drops, 122 will no longer be accessible by everyone.

Sonic Nendoroid

If you weren't quite fast enough to catch him previously, the Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroid is now available to pre-order once again. The Blue Blur will cost ¥5,800 or $50.99, depending on which Good Smile Company storefront someone orders from. It is expected to ship in September 2023 for Japanese store orders or in November 2023 from the US store. Pre-orders will remain open until April 20, 2023.

Previously released in 2012, the Sonic Nendoroid ended up rereleased in 2013 and 2020. He can be posed standing or running. He also comes with several accessories, like a ring, an item box, a checkpoint marker and a chaos emerald. Extra face plates are also included.

You can get a better look at the Sonic Nendoroid in the announcement tweet below:

The Sonic rerelease comes hot on the heels of the announcement of both Tails and Knuckles Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroids at WonHobby 36. While Good Smile did not provide a firm date for their release, they did provide images of the prototype for Tails' figure.

Sonic also recently got a merchandise collab with Hololive Vtuber Inugami Korone, who serves as an official ambassador for the brand.

Playdate Handheld’s Price Going Up, New Games Announced

Playdate Handheld’s Price Going Up, New Games Announced

Panic aired Playdate Update 3 and went over things to come for its handheld, and among the major reveals were a price increase and look at new games available in the just-added Catalog. Starting on April 7, 2023, it will go up to $199 from $179. There are also new games out immediately, two being free, via the Catalog storefront’s launch. The presentation also ended with a confirmation that the stereo dock peripheral is still in the works.

With regards to the price increase, it is due to costs to make a Playdate going up. The announcement noted that any orders already placed won’t be affected. Also, Panic chose to increase the price on April 7, 2023, rather than immediately, to give people “on the fence” a chance to get one at the original price.

As for the new games, you can gain access to them on your Playdate by updating the handheld to get the Catalog. Two of them, called Recommendation Dog!!! and Reel Steel, are free. They are retroactively being added to the Season One titles. However, the following additions alongside the Catalog shop release cost money.
