You Can Steal Breath of the Wild’s Master Sword With a Bundle of Sticks

2 years 10 months ago

The things that players are able to accomplish in Breath of the Wild thanks to the creativity the game possesses will never cease to be amazing. Despite it releasing over four years ago now, there are still brand new tricks being found out every day. The latest one involves stealing the Master Sword at any point during the game.

Now, anyone who has played Breath of the Wild before knows that in order to get the Master Sword in the game, you need to meet a few prerequisites. The first is that you need to find it, which can be a difficult task itself. The second is that you need to have at least 13 real hearts. Coming by that many hearts takes a lot of time, as Link earns them by completing dungeons and giving Spirit Orbs to the Shrine.

Reddit user RinHaraSaki got sick of these requirements, so they managed to find a way to steal the Master Sword without having to meet any of them.

New AAA Game “Project HP” Teased by Nexon With Spectacular Trailer

2 years 10 months ago

Today Nexon announced a new upcoming name code-named “Project HP.”

The game is defined as a “AAA PC Game” directed by Eunseok Yi, who previously worked on Mabinogi, Vindictus, and Durango.

“Project HP” is just a working title, but the game is introduced by a rather fetching trailer featuring a battle between characters in full armor reminiscent of games like Chivalry or For Honor, but here we also see some magic involved in the mix.

The trailer boasts “brutal action” and explicitly mentions that we’re looking at in-engine footage, and you can activate English subtitles with the “cc” button, meaning that Nexon is likely aiming for the worldwide market for this one.

We also read a subtitle that recites “On this battlefield, we break, and we rise again.” The narration also talks about “Lay down your lives for the immortals.”

It isn’t a lot of information, but a pre-alpha test will be executed between August 5 and August 8 with applications starting today.

Interestingly, the small print mentions that this game isn’t for kids and those under the age of 18 cannot apply to the alpha test.

We’ll let you know once we receive more information by Nexon, but for the moment you can enjoy the trailer below, in crisp 4K resolution and 60 frames-per-second.

Blue Reflection: Second Light for PS4, Switch, & PC Gets First Trailer, Details, & Images

2 years 10 months ago

Today Koei Tecmo and Gust released the first trailer, the first images, and details of the upcoming Blue Reflection sequel Blue Reflection Tie, titled Blue Reflection: Second Light for the west.

The game was announced (and confirmed for the west) back in March, and we finally get to learn more.

It’ll release in Japan on October 21 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch with a PC version coming at a later time. Considering Koei Tecmo’s patterns, this means that the Steam version will be released at the same time as the (yet undisclosed) western launch.

The standard 3edition will cost 8,580 yen and a Premium Box will also be released for 11,935 yen and a Special Collection Box for 22,100 yen. Both special editions include an Atelier Ryza 2 costume.

A Digital Deluxe edition will be released as well, but details have not been disclosed.

The story is about a strange school where girls live a seemingly ordinary life. The rather peculiar element is that they have lost their memories besides their names, and they don’t even know where they come from and whether they’re originally from this strange world.

The school is surrounded by the sea, but one day a passage to a new landscape appears. At the end of that road, the girls find a place that feels familiar. When attacked by monsters, they gain mysterious powers.

We also meet five characters, protagonist Ao Yoshizaki, Kokoro Utsubo, Yuki Kinjou, Rena Miyauchi, and the returning protagonist of Blue Reflection, Hinako Shirai. All are drawn by Blue Reflection character designer Mel Kishida.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date Is Still A Long Way Off, According To Reports

2 years 10 months ago

Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks are nothing new, but a recent report from an industry insider has been making its rounds for more than just curiosity's sake. Numerous names are backing up a recent report about when we'll get a Grand Theft Auto 6 release date, including our own that are backing up those claims.

Tom Henderson is a notable leaker that has a long track record of accurate early access information. In a recent video, he talked about Grand Theft Auto 6 and more about its setting. According to Henderson, the current state of Grand Theft Auto 6 centers around a modern setting that will prominently feature Vice City. He also added that the map would continue to evolve post-launch, much like what is currently being seen within the realm of Battle Royale. The video went viral after Bloomberg's Jason Schreier backed up Henderson's claims, saying that "everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard."

The Witcher: Blood Origins Casts Michelle Yeoh as Scían, a Nomadic Sword-Elf

2 years 10 months ago

Netflix has today announced that Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh will play the part Scían in its upcoming The Witcher spin-off series, Blood Origin.

Announced in July of last year, Origin is a six-part series set in a world 1200 years before the start of the popular 2019 show and will cover the events leading up to the Conjunction of the Spheres and the creation of the very first witcher.

Michelle Yeoh is best known internationally for her roles in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and the Chinese language martial arts film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), while her most recent TV credits include “Star Trek: Discovery,” while her recent feature credits include “Crazy Rich Asians,” “Boss Level,” and “Last Christmas.

Netflix offers the following description of Sian’s character:

“Scían is the very last of her nomadic tribe of sword-elves. No one can come close to her artistry with the blade, and no one carries as much loss within their heart. When a chance presents itself to retrieve a stolen sacred sword, taken from her fallen tribe by nefarious means, she launches herself into a deadly quest that will change the outcome of the Continent.”

Yeon joins other cast members including Jodie Turner-Smith, who will be playing the role of Éile, the show’s main protagonist who is described as a fierce warrior with the voice of a goddess.

Netflix’s The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will be involved in the production of the six-part live-action Blood Origin series, while The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski will act as a consultant.

New Xbox All Access Video With Remix of I Swear by All-4-One Is Pure 90s Nostalgia

2 years 10 months ago

Earlier today on the Xbox YouTube channel a new video was released talking all about the features of the Xbox All Access subscription. But it wasn’t just some boring suit droning on about what a deal it is. Instead, it features the R&B group All-4-One performing a remix of their hit song I Swear with some of the lyrics swapped out with lines that talk about Xbox All Access.

In this remix titled It’s All There, the group croons about how you can get an Xbox console and Game Pass Ultimate with Xbox All Access. If you haven’t heard of it yet. this service has no up-front costs. Instead, those who want to get in on the Xbox family of consoles can pay a monthly fee.

The video itself is just oozing with tons of 90s R&B music video nostalgia. All of the outfits are straight out of 1994 when All-4-One released I Swear. And the way the vignetting blurs everything surrounding the subject in just about every shot is just so stereotypical 90s.

You can check out the full It’s All There video advertisement by All-4-One for Xbox All Access down below.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown's location is finally revealed

2 years 10 months ago

We've known for a while that Kylotonn Racing is working on an all-new Test Drive Unlimited, and now we finally know where it'll be set, with Hong Kong set to be the backdrop for the open world racer.

The location was revealed in today's Nacon Connect with another CGI trailer which teased some further details including a doubling down on the bling-obsessed lifestyle elements. We also got to see what the backdrop of Hong Kong will offer, from its muddy shores to its hyper-colourful streets through to its glorious hills.

Hong Kong has been a popular destination for previous video games, of course, from Shenmue 2 to the beloved Sleeping Dogs. It follows on from Test Drive Unlimited's Oahu setting, while its sequel headed to Ibiza (and missed out on the opportunity for a Wayne Lineker cameo - for shame).
