Square Enix released two new trailers of its upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile game.

The trailers focus on showcasing quick scenes with characters that fans of the manga and anime will be very familiar with.

We see Edward and Alphonse Elric, Winry Rockbell, Izumi Curtis, Sig Curtis, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Jean Havoc, Heymans Breda, Vato Falman, and Kain Fuery.

If you want to see gameplay, you can find it in the previous trailer, while another showcases anime-style cutscenes.

The game, which is simply named “Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile,” will be released in just a few days in Japan, on July 29.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, there’s a good chance you’ve heard talk about FX/Hulu’s most recent breakout television series, The Bear. Starring Shameless’ Jeremy Allen White, the show takes a look at the story of what happens when a gifted young chef from the world of fine dining comes home to Chicago to run his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop.

A black comedy, The Bear deals with the behind-the-scenes chaos of running a kitchen and owning a restaurant, as well as the grief and coping that comes with losing a loved one. It’s arguably one of the best shows on television in 2022 and is filled with plenty of great references and inside jokes for anyone that’s ever worked in a restaurant.

What’s even more interesting than all of the back-of-house stuff that goes on is an interesting, possibly uncredited, voice you can hear during Episode 8, Braciole. If you listen closely while Neil Fak (Matty Matheson) talks to the Ball Breaker machine, you’ll hear a familiar voice: Paul Rudd.

In the conversation, Rudd plays a video game character that Fak is talking to (in a made-up conversation in his head, taking place at the 31: 34 mark), where he asks him if he ever feels sad. His character says, “Of course I do, but I don’t talk about it. I keep it all inside. It helps me beat the shit out of people.”

While there hasn’t been anything to confirm regarding the cameo, it seems pretty hard to deny that Paul Rudd was the voice of the video game character Fak is talking to in the Machine. Considering the star power The Bear was already able to pull in, including fellow Marvel actor Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), the idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

Last weekend’s Marvel panel at the San Diego Comic-Con brought a ton of news and fleshed out the direction the Marvel Cinematic Universe will head in for the next few years. With the announcement of Phase 6 bringing two new Avengers movies, today has brought confirmation that Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton will be at the helm of the first movie, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Today, Microsoft announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022, related to the period between April 1, 2022, and June 30.

The press release included an update on the performance of the More Personal Computing business, which includes Microsoft’s gaming division and the Xbox brand.

The WWE is jumping out of the ring and into Fall Guys, Fortnite, and Rocket League. On July 28, these three games will receive a variety of new characters, skins, and emotes. These new updates are part of the Epic SummerSlam, a collaboration between Epic Games and the WWE. The event will see all the biggest WWE stars coming to Epic’s most popular games.

First, Fall Guys is receiving three new skins featuring Asuka, Xavier Woods, and Undertaker. In addition to these new costumes, players can earn new nameplates, celebrations, and more. The Bell Tolls Celebration and Francesca Refrain Emote will be included in this update.

The event to earn these prizes will run from July 28 to Aug. 1, so be sure to claim these before they disappear. Stop by the Fall Guys Store to see all of these upgrades.

Next, The Champ has arrived, as John Cena will be landing on Fortnite. The John Cena outfit will include the John Cena Entrance Gear Style and John Cena Ring Gear Style. In other words, you’ll be able to play with a shirt or shirtless.

Fortnite players will be able to get the WWE Championship Back Bling, Five Digit Slapper Pickaxe, and celebrate with the U Can’t C Me Emote. These will go live on the item shop at 8 p.m. EST.

Today third-party developers had a few reveals in store for about upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator airport add-ons.

We start with a new trailer of Mataveri International Airport (SCIP) on Easter Island by WTFlightSim and SoFly, providing a good look at what we can expect from the scenery when it launches on July 29.

November will see the Autumn event and more crossovers, while the next major update will come in December, bringing a level cap increase to 70, a new region, and new class skills.

PAX West fans are in for a treat, as the preliminary exhibitor’s list for the 2022 version of the event was released earlier today. The event, which is set to take place this September, sees the return of a lot of notable names in the industry, including Nintendo, Devolver Digital, and Thunderful Games, just to name a few.

When discussing the event,  Penny Arcade and PAX co-founder Jerry Holkins had the following to say:

“As you can see, we’re taking our PAX East momentum and we’re bringing it to Seattle,” said Holkins, “But, let’s stay safe out there. We’re proud of our health and safety requirements at the shows, but they work best when they’re observed broadly – even outside the show. Observing the rules is how we can have nice things.”

Currently, those are just the ones that have been confirmed, as there are a handful of other ones that will be making an appearance or will have a booth as well.

Masters Copenhagen, the latest major event on Valorant’s esports calendar, concluded over the weekend. And as has been the case so many times throughout the game’s short history thus far, it produced some absolutely wild results. FunPlus Phoenix (FPX), a Chinese-owned but European team, took home the crown after a five-map thriller with the Singapore-based Paper Rex (PRX).

In many ways, the story behind FPX’s big win is utterly incredible. Despite being one of Valorant esports’ oldest core rosters, having been together since 2020, this was the team’s LAN debut. They sadly missed out on Reykjavik earlier this year due to VISA issues complicated by the ongoing war in Ukraine, a tournament many experts had picked them to win. This time around, at Copenhagen, they arrived as firm underdogs behind Fnatic, a team they have consistently lost to in recent months at the domestic level.

And yet, FPX overcame the odds and their rivals, though not before being defeated by Fnatic and Korea’s DRX in the group stages. In the end, it was a run through the tournament’s lower bracket that paved their path to the grand final and a win over the people’s favorites in PRX, who so many adore for their aggressive, flashy playstyle. FPX walked away with the trophy, $200,000, and valuable circuit points towards the end-of-year main event, Champions.

See-Through View

The “See-Through View” is exactly how it sounds. While wearing the headset, users will be able to see the surrounding area due to the PS VR2’s embedded front cameras. Users only have to press the function button on the headset, or use the Card in the Control Center, and it will bring up the option to choose between viewing the surrounding area or viewing the content on display in the PS VR2.

Today Sega and Creative Assembly revealed the second legendary lord that will be included in the Champions of Chaos DIC for Total War: Warhammer 3.

It’s Festus the Leechlord, champion of Nurgle, who aims to spread plague and disease all over the old world and beyond.

Festus can either heal his own troops or deal damage to the enemies on the battlefield (and you need to choose between the two).

His legendary lord effects are quite appropriate to his nature.

• Vassals gain poison attacks and spread Nurgle’s corruption
• Can brew Plagues
• Souls +25 when a plague is spread

Today, fans will finally be able to get their hands on the big new update that Rockstar Games has been touting for the online version of GTA V, as GTA Online The Criminal Enterprises is now available. This free update brings plenty of exciting new opportunities for players, including lots of new missions, vehicles, weapons, and rewards to cash in on.

Today Atlus hosted a livestream presenting the results of the fan survey launched back in May, providing interesting information on what its customers want from the popular developer.

We learn that 44,731 people compiled the survey in total, of whom 13,971 were from Japan and 30,760 were from North America. European fans were not involved, albeit it’s likely safe to assume that many cheated and simply responded to the North American survey.

Among the information provided including which games of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series the fans started with and more, we hear what they hope to see a remakes of. Below you can find the full ranking.

Interestingly, Persona 3 and the Persona 2 duology took the top spot supported by the same percentage of respondents, followed closely by the original Revelations: Persona.

Skates are cool. That was my takeaway when 16-year-old me watched Whip It in theaters, grinning dumbly as Elliot Page and Kristen Wiig rammed into each other while skating around wildly in an arena. Rollerdrome takes things to the next level. This game is, like, forget that kiddy shit. We’re making roller derby actually deadly, and we’re going for more of a Hunger Games vibe than the grungy, teen emo stuff you see in Whip It.

I didn’t know much about Rollerdrome before I actually got my hands on the preview build, and I was certainly surprised to learn that it was from the same team that made the OlliOlli games. My colleague Andrew will tell you that OlliOlli World is a lighthearted, goofy game that celebrates skateboard culture with lots of fun customization options to make your experience feel distinct. Rollerdrome is nothing like that at all.

Instead, what we have here is a dystopian world set in 2030, where corporations have effectively ruled the world. In true Hunger Games spirit, the citizens –or the sheeple, if you will– have grown increasingly desensitized to violence, an issue that’s only exacerbated by the emergence of a new bloodsport: Rollerdrome.

In Rollerdrome, people put their skates on and enter an arena. It’s just like roller derby, except instead of trying to lap each other to score points, you’re, uh, shooting each other with firearms instead. Players take control of Kara Hassan, a new Rollerdrome contender who’s looking to make her way to the top of the game. Your job is to eliminate all other contestants, while pulling off cool tricks in the arena to impress the crowd.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on Switch

Whenever a new Xenoblade Chronicles game is announced there’s a mad dash online for fans to absorb as much information about the game as possible. This devoted fanbase the franchise has cultivated over the last decade only continues to grow with each successive fantastic game Monolith Soft puts out. Fortunately for fans, it looks like they might have another hit on their hands with Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

In Xenoblade Chronicles 3 we see three soldiers of Keves (Noah, Eunie, Lanz) join up with three soldiers from the rival nation of Agnus (Mio, Sena, Taion). Following their newfound freedom from their shackle-like Flame Clocks, they seek to free others from the cycle of violence.

The existence of every colony is inexorably tied to its Flame Clocks. These massive clocks are displayed on each colony’s giant mech known as a Ferronis. Additionally, the Flame Clock can be seen in a single eye of each colony member. Failing to keep a Flame Clock above empty spells certain death for a colony which in turn is the catalyst for the forever wars that Noah and his friends are trying to end.

Bandai Namco released another character trailer of its upcoming fighting game JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R.

This time around, we can enjoy a look at Stardust Crusaders antagonist Hol Horse, alongside the power of his stand Emperor.

The buddy cop genre has seen something of a modern resurgence over the last few years. With flicks like Bad Boys for Life, The Nice Guys, and 22 Jump Street making waves, it’s undoubtedly a popular sub-genre that sell tickets and helps put bums on seats.

Today, a certain buddy cop pic is celebrating an eighth spot in Netflix’s Top 10 most watched movies. That’s right, we’re talking about the comedic action remake, CHiPs, which, according to Top10Netflix, is enjoying its first week in the site’s Top 10 with an impressive 7,480,000 hours viewed by subscribers all around the globe. Not too shabby, huh?

Directed by actor-comedian-director Dax Shepard (who also stars in the film), CHiPs is a remake and reinterpretation of the classic 80s NBC action-drama created by Rick Rosner, which sees two motorcycle cops taking charge of the California Highway Patrol. Action hijinks and comedic escapades often ensue with some light drama thrown in for good measure. Pretty sure you know the formula, right?

Released back in 2017, CHiPs was lambasted by critics for its low hanging fruit jokes, juvenile humor, and often homophobic tone. In fact, over on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, it features a lowly 19 percent Critical Rating and a modest 45 percent Audience Score. Ouch!

Despite all this, there still seems to be an audience who’re clearly enjoying the film. And while it may not be the funniest movie in the world, at least it’s got Million Dollar Baby and Crash’s Michael Peña, who’s usually a joy to watch.

Today Capcom announced its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year, related to the period between April 1 and June 30.

For the first time in quite a long time, all the relevant figures show a decline, with sales dropping 47.9% year-on-year and operating income dropping 48.9%

Yet, Capcom mentions that the results of its Digital Contents business are considered “solid.” This is explained by the fact that this quarter is comparing with the one in which the publisher released Resident Evil Village & Monster Hunter Rise, while the only big new release this time around is Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

The specific results for the Digital Contents Business were net sales at 19,860 million yen (down 54.8% year-over-year) and operating income at 12,541 million yen (down 48.7% year-over-year).

The Pokemon Company and the Wand Company have announced a brand new item in the Poke Ball replica series: the Friend Ball is now available to purchase through the Pokemon Center website.

The Friend Ball is a die-cast replica of the design straight from the Pokemon games. It has a motion-sensing, multicolor light and comes inside a uniquely numbered case. The replica is true to size, fitting perfectly in the palm of the hand.

In the games, it is said that Pokemon that are caught with a Friend Ball will become more friendly to the trainer who catches them. This special type of Poke Ball was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver.

Will Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Get a Season 3? Answered

Currently, there hasn’t been an official announcement that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is getting a third season. However, this doesn’t mean there is no chance of a third season whatsoever.

First and foremost, it has only been a year since the second season was released. Following the conclusion of the anime’s first season, there was a four year break before the second season began streaming. Several factors could have contributed to this lapse in output, but overall it was in line with a typical gap between producing full seasons of an anime that isn’t strictly Shonen. With this in mind, Kyoto Animation, the studio behind the show, is likely taking some time away from the series to prepare for the next cour.

This in turn would also be beneficial for gaining more source material to work with. The Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid manga is still ongoing to this day, and releases on a monthly schedule. As such, it takes longer for the series to build up chapters than a weekly-release manga would, slowing down the rate at which adaptation material can be created for the anime.

Despite releasing all the way back in 2018, God of War continues to remain strong as one of the most popular games of this generation. Sony Santa Monica’s action RPG has dominated the Steam charts for a bit now, but it looks like its reign has finally come to an end, as Stray sneaks into the top spot on Steam.

According to the charts on Steam250, which tracks the highest rated games on Steam within a one-year period, Stray has quickly become the highest rated Steam title of 2022. It beat out God of War by a very small margin, forcing it to drop down to the number 2 spot instead.

Of course, it’s worth noting that Stray is a very new game and recency bias is a thing, but considering that God of War has remained so popular for so long, it’s pretty impressive that it was eventually knocked down a peg by the cute cyberpunk cat game.

God of War is now available on PS5 and PC. Stray is also now available on PC and consoles.

Death’s a bitch, and nowhere is that clear than in the latest trailer for Dislyte‘s newly announced update, Origami Love.

As expected, the new update will add three new Espers to the roster, whose silhouettes were teased in a tweet yesterday. However, unlike previous updates, Origami Love introduces two new Legendary Espers to the mix instead of just one. You can check out the trailer down below:

We’ll be getting Thanatos, known in-game as Ophelia, as well as Chiyou as our new 5-star Espers. Ophelia is Wind-attuned, while Chiyou is Shimmer-attuned, so players’ chances of summoning him will be considerably lower than the other 5-stars. We’re also getting Gullveig, AKA Alice, who’s a 4-star Shimmer-attuned Esper. As the only new 4-star character, we might get her as an unlockable freebie, but there are no details on that yet.

Today Atlus released another daily trailer of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on one of the locations and a dish that will be featured in the game.

We return to the bar named “Heidrun,” which the heroes use as a hangout. Among the bar’s menu, you can find “Oinori Bouillabaisse.”

Like most daily trailers, we also get the daily horoscope, which sees Leo at the top of the fortune ranking and Gemini at the bottom.

Soul Hackers 2 launches for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC ( both on Steam and on the Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese release on August 25.

Mages released two more trailers of its upcoming game Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix.

The trailers showcase three of the actresses featured in the game, Yumi Yotsuya, Yayoi Fujino, and Touka Shimoochiai.

In the first trailer, we get to see them within dialogue scenes, outside of battles, while the second showcases their customization and a brief look at battle gameplay.

As usual, the videos appear to be recorded from the Nintendo Switch of the game, as shown by the button prompts at the bottom of the screen.

Just when you think you’ve seen your fair share of talented musicians playing songs from your favorite game soundtracks, wait until you hear what this one fan has been creating and posting online. Atarime_desu on Twitter regularly posts videos of songs he plays on an unconventional musical instrument: the calculator.

Four calculators, in fact. Atarime_desu uses them to play popular songs by lining them up in a row and hitting the buttons to produce notes of different pitches. And among his repertoire of impressive songs are two that any gamer would recognize.

The original Mass Effect holds a special place in a lot of players’ hearts, as it’s responsible for setting them off on a journey of a lifetime to help Shepard save the galaxy from the threat of the Reapers.
