We start with the Boeing 757-200 & 300 in the works at Bluebird Simulations, which received several screenshots and a development update.

“Over the last few months, we have focused a lot on getting the VC animations complete along with working on the FMS ( Flight Management System ) and flight dynamics. The VC animations are 90% complete. However, many switches still need to be integrated into the systems. From the FMS perspective, several pages on the FMC, certain AP functions, Navigation display , PFD are functioning. Without revealing too much it’s worth emphasising that the FMS is a huge priority. After the FMS is complete, we will work on the other systems of the aircraft.

On the exterior model, we have focused mainly on the landing gear. Still a lot of parts left to do but it is coming along nicely. The textures are unchanged from the last update but these are really just placeholder textures. A lot of detailed work is still left to do to really bring the textures to life.

The flight model has received attention too. However, there is much left to do here. We plan on integrating two different flight models. One will be aimed at “easier flying” while the other is aimed at maximum realism within the simulator limitations.”

Today Hytale developer Hypixel Studios published a development update with plenty of information about the current state of the upcoming fantasy-meets-Minecraft game.

First of all, the game’s engine is being overhauled in C++ as opposed as Java and C#, providing the following benefits.

• It makes it easier for us to release Hytale across multiple platforms. This is one of the most common requests we receive, and we want to deliver on it without compromising on quality. We also wish to avoid a situation where our community finds themselves split up based on the platform they play on.
• It provides performance benefits.
• It will make it easier for us to patch and maintain the game in the future, and establishes a stronger foundation for the future development of Hytale.

When will Hytale Come out?

Unfortunately, this will impact the development timeline. While “redevelopment of the engine is proceeding quickly” and the developers are “hitting internal milestones,” this means that the game won’t be ready for 2023, which was previously identified as the best-case-scenario earliest possible release window.

The development team sympathizes with the fans who have been waiting for a long time, but they believe this course of action is best for the game in the long run.

We also learn that the team has grown a lot, and now it counts over 100 developers, with more joining every month.

Today Capcom released a new video related to the upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6.

My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia takes place in a world where almost everyone has a special ability called a “quirk.” With these new superpowers becoming the norm, anyone without one of these “quirks” is left feeling like the odd one out. Such was the case for My Hero Academia protagonist Izuku Midoriya.

As fate would have it, however, Izuku eventually ends up with his own quirk with the aid of his personal idol All Might. He then enrolls in a school that caters to gifted students with quirks and begins training to be a true hero as the threat of a dangerous villain organization begins to loom over the horizon.

Even if you haven’t seen this anime before, you’re probably already imagining the similarities this anime has with Naruto. Even as a newbie to the community of quirk-having heroes, Izuku has a level of determination that can only be matched by Naruto. If you find yourself enjoying anime where the main character is constantly screaming “I can do it,” “I will succeed,” “You won’t stop me,” or any other phrase of this nature, then both Naruto and My Hero Academia will be your cup of tea.

Eyes in the Dark on PC

Billed as a roguelight, Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom is one of the most unique side-scrolling rogue-lite games you’ll play this year. “Roguelight” is a clever little play on words, and a reference to the fact that protagonist Victoria Bloom only has a flashlight at her disposal as she tries to fend off the creepy-crawlies in the dark.

Right off the bat, Eyes in the Dark is immediately captivating with its Tim Burton-esque cartoonish visuals. The entire game is in black and white, and even reminiscent of silent movies where placards with character dialogue pop onscreen in between shots of characters gesturing towards each other. The game begins proper when we arrive at Bloom Manor, and Victoria is forced to explore the large creepy house in an effort to save her grandfather from what lurks within.

Along the way, she’ll uncover secrets about the Bloom family, as well as fancy upgrades for her flashlight, allowing her to dispatch her foes more easily.

After the short tutorial sequence introducing the game’s basic mechanics, Eyes in the Dark leaves everything open for the player to discover. Each run always starts off in the main hall, where you can pick up items or upgrades to prepare for the journey ahead, then go forth and see how far you can make it in the Manor.

If one Soul Hackers 2 trailer a day wasn’t enough for you, today Atlus released an extra video for its upcoming Shin Megami Tensei spin-off JRPG.

The trailer focuses on illustrating the world of the game, in which technology has reached consciousness and predicted the end of the world. In order to prevent it, “Aion” sends its agents Ringo and Figue to establish the first contact with the humans who are most crucial for the mission.

Soul Hackers 2 launches for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC ( both on Steam and on the Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese release on August 25.

The trailer finally gives us our first look at fan-favorite Nagi Seishiro and Reo Mikage, two key players from Team V. Both players entered Blue Lock together, with Reo being the one to first identify Nagi’s soccer skills and convincing him to join a team with him. Today Capcom revealed new details, a trailer, and screenshots about the upcoming Resident Evil: Village Gold Edition and the Winters’ Expansion DLC.

How to Get Energy Drink Cans in Stray

To get yourself some valuable energy drink cans in Stray, simply head to the various vending machines that can be found throughout The Slums. Interacting with these machines will net you an energy drink can, which is always good to have.

Do keep in mind that not every vending machine has an Energy Drink up for grabs. The ones that do will be lit up, indicating they are functional.

From your starting position next to the guardian and facing away from the garage door, head to the left and you will find the first vending machine that has its lights on.

It’s been a big week for Marvel Snap, especially with the launch of the game’s first Nexus Event, as well as a huge balance patch that really shook up the meta. Specifically, big changes to some key Pool 1 cards like America Chavez, Strong Guy, and Kazar have resulted in a popular and competitive Pool 1 deck feeling a lot clunkier to play.

As noted in a previous article, I’m not a huge fan of these changes, as Kazoo was pretty much the only viable competitive deck that newer players could build with the cards at their disposal. This problem was exacerbated by the fact that it was possible to get matched up against players who were already deep in Pool 3, which didn’t feel great.

While I’m still not a fan of the idea of nerfing the most viable cards for newer Pool 1 players, the patch does also introduce some balances to the matchmaking system in Marvel Snap. Second Dinner had previously stated in a Q&A session on their official Discord that they were planning on adjusting the matchmaking bands, and while this wasn’t explicitly stated in this week’s July 19 patch notes, it looks like the changes are already live.

According to a Marvel Snap rep, matchmaking optimizations aren’t complete just yet, but right now, players will only get matched with other players in similar Pools. Here’s a rough breakdown of how the matchmaking bands are set up:

Real talk: as quite possibly the biggest The Last of Us fan on Earth –don’t @ me, no one can compete– I was skeptical when Naughty Dog announced a remake of the original game for PS5. This was a 2013 game that released on PS3, and got remastered for the PS4 soon after that. It still holds up really well. Surely it doesn’t need the remake treatment, right?

Well, maybe. Sony’s just released a new features and gameplay trailer for The Last of Us Part I, showing off all the cool new bells and whistles we can expect from the PS5 version, and it does look pretty sweet. You can check out the video down below:

The graphical updates are probably the most impressive thing here. Looking at scene comparisons between the two versions of the game, the lighting looks much more immersive, and the character models themselves also look way more expressive. Naughty Dog claims that the character models will look and feel more like the actual actor performances, helping with the game’s overall immersion.

Three more classic games are now available for Nintendo Switch Online. Fighter’s History, Kirby’s Avalanche, and Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia have just been added to the service’s NES and SNES library of games.

Fighter’s History was originally an arcade game that was released on the SNES in 1994. It’s a fighting game with many similarities to Street Fighter II.

Kirby’s Avalanche (known as Kirby’s Ghost Trap in Europe) was originally released on the SNES in 1995. It’s a puzzle game that is a western release of the Japanese game Super Puyo Puyo.

Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia is the sixth game in a seven-part series that was released on the NES. It has previously been a Japanese exclusive game. Nintendo has kindly provided a Japanese password in the update trailer that allows players to jump right into a planet-side battle.

The Iron Throne has been sought after by many franchise characters, such as Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and Stannis Baratheon. So, now that Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon will be making its debut, who currently sits on the famous throne? The only way to find out is by analyzing the show’s trailer and the lore of the overall story.

Atlus released another of its daily trailers of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on one of the demons that will be featured in the game.

This time the trailer reveals Sukuna-Hikona, a demon inspired by Japan’s own folklore and who first debuted in Shin Megami Tensei II. He also appeared in the recent Shin Megami Tensei V.

Like most daily trailers, we also get the daily horoscope, which sees Leo at the top of the fortune ranking and Gemini at the bottom.
