Nintendo E3 2010 Press Conference Uploaded in 1080p

nintendo e3 2010

Noclip Game History Archive has uploaded the entirety of the Nintendo E3 2010 press conference in 1080p. It boasts the “best quality ever” in the title of the video. At over an hour long, you can watch it and relive what happened during E3 2010.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSTW2cqSmPQ

According to the video description, the original source of the recording is from an HDCAM. 2010 was about two console generations ago. So you can se in the video a lot of games still played on the Nintendo Wii. Some games that appeared in the video include The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (which included a live demo of how to use the motion controls) and Mario Sports Mix. The most important part of this stream was the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo first unveiled the Nintendo 3DS during the E3 2010 press conference. You can watch it at the end of the presentation. The 3D and communication features were some of the key selling points. The Nintendo 3DS having automatic communication (with or without Wi-Fi) and being able to exchange information was a major feature. This includes ghost data, rankings, and new quests. This used to be free on the 3DS, though modern consoles require some sort of subscription fee for a lot of online content now. Production for the Nintendo 3DS ended in 2020, ten years after E3 2010.

You can watch the high-quality upload of the Nintendo E3 2010 presentation on Noclip Game History Archive’s YouTube channel.

Oda Did Not Want In-Crew Romance in Netflix One Piece

one piece netflix

Steven Maeda, the showrunner for the Netflix One Piece adaptation, stated that there will be no romance between anyone in the Straw Hat Crew in the show. This is due to Eiichiro Oda, the original mangaka of One Piece, putting his foot down about it. So any sparks that viewers may see between the characters will never come to be. [Thanks, TVGroove!]

According to TVGroove, many fans have noticed that Zoro (Mackenyu) and Nami (Emily Rudd) have a really strong onscreen chemistry. A lot of their interactions in scenes look like one of those couples that argue a lot, but still like each other. So viewers unfamiliar with the source material might think Zoro and Nami are supposed to be a couple. However, Oda did not want romance between the Crew, so there will be no live-action-only canon Zoro/Nami.

This may not be surprising news to fans of the One Piece anime and manga. One Piece is a story of friendship and found family, and the relationships between everyone in Luffy’s crew ultimately remains platonic. Maeda states that he does not intend to portray Zoro and Nami’s relationship as a romantic one. However, he cannot deny that Mackenyu and Rudd work very well together.

The One Piece live-action adaptation is streaming via Netflix.

Nissin Will Sell Noodles and Curry with Caffeine for Gamers

nissin gamers noodles curry

Cup noodle giant Nissin will release Gaming Cup Noodles and Gaming Curry Meshi that will help gamers stay up all night and play. They contain caffeine, arginine, and niacin. You’ll be able to purchase them in Japan from September 18, 2023

Since Nissin is marketing these foods towards gamers, they’re very colorful and emulate the RGB aesthetic on a lot of gamer-focused electronics. This is the first time that Nissin has made products geared towards that particular market. However, this is a response to the large number (50 million in Japan alone) of young gamers, according to the official website.

The cup noodles are dry soba noodles that have black pepper and garlic flavoring. The sauce uses soy sauce as its base. As for the curry, it’s a keema curry. It’s also vegetarian, since the meat in it uses soy. The noodles should cost 280 JPY each and the curry should cost 298 JPY each. They come in boxes as well. Each box of noodles will get you 12 cups and each box of curry will get you 6. Here are some pictures of the products from the Nissin website:

[gallery columns="1" ids="982197" link="file"]

As gaming becomes more and more of a proper mainstream hobby (as well as even a legitimate career), more and more companies are also releasing items that cater to that particular crowd. Some companies do so through collaborations. For example, ZONe energy drink previously released a Genshin Impact pack.

The gamers noodles and curry from Nissin will come out in Japan from September 18, 2023.

Review: Rune Factory 3 Special Brings a Great Game to More People

There are certain Rune Factory games that stand out. Like a lot of the entries in the series can be really good and fun! It also helps that many of them involve gimmicks like a playable second generation, also being in “charge” of the town, or two characters sharing one body. Rune Factory 3 ended up being one of the strongest ones when it showed up on the DS, and it remains just as notable now that Rune Factory 3 Special is on the Switch and PC.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk review - one of gaming's purest joys returns in this almost-sequel

Early on in A Burglar's Guide to the City, Geoff Manaugh's transporting and transformative book on the criminal uses of urban space, I met Bill Mason. Mason is a jewel thief, yes, but also a "watcher of buildings". He's pretty much a reader of buildings.

Mason started out in real estate, and became intrigued by the apartments he was showing clients. "I liked buildings," he told CNN's Wolf Blitzer in 2005. Why does he like them? Because, "you could go in and achieve something, bypass a lot of security. And it was a game, it became a challenge, a sort of adrenalin rush I got addicted to." Mason became a jewel thief, in other words, because of something that sounds a lot like a form of love.

A reader of buildings! Mason would wander, often at night, reading the faces of the buildings he passed. He was looking for useful ledges, easy windows, rooftops he could reach at a push. It was a process of finding useful details, and then chaining them together to create a path. I know this feeling. I was doing it last week.

"Given the number of platforms and geographies in which Minecraft is available, we periodically go through rating reviews and updates with different regional boards," a Microsoft spokesperson told us. Sea of Stars developer Sabotage working on DLC

It looks like Sabotage Studio is working on DLC for its retro RPG Sea of Stars.

The company's CEO Thierry Boulanger was recently interviewed on Canada Radio, where he explained the company is working on another game with the same development process it adopted for previous game The Messenger (thanks Kakuchopurei, GamesRadar).

Essentially that means the main development team will start work on the next game, while a smaller team will remain to work on DLC for Sea of Stars, just as it did with its ninja platformer.

Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 mouse and G Pro X TKL Lightspeed keyboard review

Logitech G revealed two new premium PC gaming peripherals today: the G Pro X Superlight 2 ultra-light mouse and the G Pro X TKL Lightspeed mechanical keyboard. These new additions join the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed gaming headset, released earlier this year, to complete the popular Pro series line. This gear is intended to offer top-of-the-line performance for esports pros and the competitively-minded players that seek to emulate them - but do they deliver?

Logitech was kind enough to send one keyboard and mouse each to Digital Foundry's Will Judd and I to try out ahead of their release. We've put them through their paces to work out whether the latest versions are worth their premium price tags - or whether the older, cheaper models are the best buy right now.

In this article, we'll take on each peripheral in turn before rendering our final verdict - starting with the hotly anticipated Superlight 2 mouse, a new take on the design that's proven the most popular mouse amongst Counter-Strike, Valorant and Fortnite pro players.

Charles Martinet still doesn't actually know what a Mario Ambassador is

Mario Ambassador Charles Martinet is still unsure what his new role actually entails.

Last month, Nintendo announced that Martinet, the exuberant voice of Mario, will no longer be the English voice actor behind Nintendo's most recognisable mascot, after almost 30 years in the job.

Instead, it was announced, Martinet will now take on the role of a Mario Ambassador for the company. Nintendo said this new position will see the actor continuing to "travel the world sharing the joy of Mario and interacting with you all!" Other than that, it did not go into specifics on the job's actual requirements.

Bethesda Really Killed Off All the Labradors in Starfield

Not one of Starfield's 1,000 planets contains a labrador retriever. Why? Because Bethesda killed them all off.

Popular X account Can You Pet the Dog?, which answers that question for different video games, revealed the fact in its disappointing and somewhat brutal Starfield edition.

"Though they are featured in Starfield's concept art, pets do not appear to be present in the full game," the post said, below. "Furthermore, an item description indicates that labrador retrievers — and possibly all dogs — have gone extinct."

This is the case according to Starfield's Chocolate Labs food item. "Centauri Mills' chocolates, shaped like an extinct canine called a labrador retriever," it reads. The item grants five points of health and 1,000 points of devastation.

Starfield DLSS Mod Cracked After Creator Added DRM, Reigniting Debate Over Paid Mods

The debate over paid mods is once again in the spotlight after a crack for the high-profile Starfield DLSS mod was released.

Modder PureDark, who specialises in creating DLSS3 and DLSS2/FSR2/XeSS mods, sparked controversy by restricting access to their more advanced Starfield DLSS3 mod to $5-a-month Patreon supporters. The Digital Rights Management (DRM) used by the mod is an authenticator. According to DSOGaming, the mod does not require an active Patreon membership, so if you unsubscribe you can still pass authentication. Additionally, after the first authentication the mod will not ask for re-authentication.

When Starfield launched in early access form on September 1, it was confirmed that it does not include support for Nvidia’s widely popular supersampling tech, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). The PC version of Starfield only officially includes support for one supersampling tech: AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), specifically the second iteration of FSR. The PC settings also do not support Intel's supersampling tech, Xe Super Sampling (XeSS).

Bethesda has drawn criticism from PC gamers for the decision, which was thought to have to do with AMD and Bethesda’s deal to make the GPU maker the “exclusive PC partner for Starfield”. AMD has insisted there is nothing stopping Bethesda from adding DLSS support if the developer wants to.

Charles Martinet on Being ‘Mario Ambassador’: ‘I Don’t Know What That Is Yet’

Charles Martinet, the now former voice of Mario, has discussed his new role as “Mario Ambassador” for Nintendo, saying: “I don’t know what that is yet.”

Last month Nintendo announced Martinet was “stepping back” from voicing Nintendo characters, and confirmed the much-loved voice actor, who has voiced Mario for 32 years, is not involved in upcoming Switch exclusive Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Nintendo has yet to announce Martinet’s replacement, but did say he will assume the new role of “Mario Ambassador”.

But what does “Mario Ambassador” mean? It seems Martinet himself is unsure. Speaking during a Q&A panel at GalaxyCon Austin 2023, Martinet said: “I am now a Mario Ambassador. I don’t know what that is yet. I’m not retired as it were, but I’m an ambassador. As we step forward into the future, I will learn, we’ll all learn exactly what that is.”

It sounds like Martinet is in the dark about his new role for Nintendo, but, as he stresses, he is not retiring. As for his replacement, during a recent interview with IGN, Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser said fans will have to wait until the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on October 20 to find out, as the company will keep the new voice of Mario under wraps until the game’s credits are public.

People are modding Armored Cores into Elden Ring, and now I want a Souls game where you play a giant

Among the feats a new player of FromSoftware's Souls or Souls-adjacent fantasy games must perform is conquering your fear of giants. From the Stray Demons of Dark Souls through Bloodborne's Cleric Beast to the dragons of Elden Ring, you must learn not to be awed by creatures who look they could kill you with a sneeze. You must learn to run towards that titanic knight with the enormous shield, rolling between its colossal ankles, using its stature against it. You must learn to see past the visual overkill of a swing that would surely fell a skyscraper, registering only the effects on your poise and health bar. It's a learning curve, for sure, and that makes the modding of mechs from Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon into Elden Ring a little more than the usual act of mischievous fanservice.

The Starfield no-planets run: space pirate Mary Read is born

You may have seen that Alice Bee has started a "land on every planet" run of Bethesda's Starfield. By total coincidence - I promise you it's accidental, I was so pleased - I've been working on a "land on no planets" run of Starfield. The reasoning for this is as follows: people say that outer space is the worst part of the game, because it's just an irritating interval between the maps where the majority of quests, loot, intrigues, etc are found. It's a fast travel loading screen you can fly about in. But what if you double-down on the space stuff?

What if you never descend from orbit, not even to repair, modify or upgrade your ship and offload inventory? What if, rather than buying new ships or building them, you progress exclusively by boarding other captains and making off with ship and cargo? How well does Starfield scrub up as a thoroughbred space sim that leans towards bloodthirsty piracy? Here to answer these questions is Mary Read, my custom character and budding astral freebooter. She's named for her distant ancestor, the legendary 18th century English buccaneer Mary Read. She's had a crack at life on shore, setting foot most recently on Earth's Moon, but from this point on, her fate and fortune lies amid the stars. Arrr!

You can steal one of Starfield's better suits early on, if you know how

It turns out you can pinch one of Starfield's better suits without picking locks. Not only that, you can actually get it quite near the start of the game.

There are a variety of suits in Starfield, obtained in various ways. Some you can buy from vendors, others can be found by exploration and looting. Your usual video game fare. However, if you are canny and take the time to place your cursor in just the right place, you can nab one of Starfield's better suits as early as the second mission.

The suit in question is the Mark 1 Spacesuit, which comes with the accompanying Helmet and Pack. It is all kept in a glass cabinet, under lock and key, in the basement of The Lodge. You can try to unlock this case in the traditional way, but unless you are a Master lock picker, you will be informed it is too difficult to do this right now.

Peter Molyneux says he regrets over-promising his games

Molyneux has become known for describing his games in interviews only for the end product to not live up to those words, something which he has repeatedly apologised for in the past, describing his behaviour as over-excitement and lies to stop bored journalists falling asleep.

In the latest episode of the podcast My Perfect Console with Simon Parkin, Molyenux said the games he described in interviews were the product of a "half-insane, creative mind" designing games on the fly whilst trying to show passion for his work.

The developer continued: "Horror games thrive on the delicate balance of tension, exploiting our vulnerability and the eerie embrace of solitude. Envision yourself traversing a dimly lit house in the dead of night, where faint whispers and unidentifiable noises send shivers down your spine.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gets Biggest Patch Yet

EA and Respawn Entertainment have released the biggest patch yet for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor across all platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Patch 7 "makes sweeping improvements to Quality and Performance modes" on console, EA said, while its PC counterpart is headlined by the addition of NVIDIA DLSS support.

PS5 and Xbox's Performance Mode has received a complete rework that has disabled Ray Tracing to guarantee a consistent 60 frames per second performance alongside other improvements. Other technical improvements have also boosted Quality Mode across both consoles and added Variable Refresh Rate support on PS5.

PC users, who faced the brunt of Jedi: Survivor's technical issues at launch, can also enjoy changes to the save system that helps prevent save game corruption, various crash fixes, and more. The full patch notes can be seen below.

Jedi: Survivor launched in April to positive critical reception and commercial success but some users were left with a buggy, broken version of the game, even after a big day one download. The studio released plenty of patches in the weeks following launch, though has been quiet for a while as it presumably worked on this bigger performance-boosting update.

Starfield Player Stuffs 20,000 Potatoes Into A Cockpit, Opens Door, Reveals ‘Mind-Blowing’ Physics

A Starfield player stuffed 20,000 potatoes into their ship’s cockpit for science and showed off the game’s impressive physics.

Redditor Moozipan published a clip showing what happened when they opened the door of their cockpit. We see the potatoes realistically spill onto the floor and, perhaps more impressively, move about realistically as they interact with the door as it closes.

Video game tech wizard John Linneman, of Digital Foundry, took to X to call the clip “mind-blowing”. “The fact that these objects all have physics is impressive,” Linneman added.

Starfield shoots for a stable 30 frames per second across Xbox Series X and S (an approach Bethesda Game Studios chief Todd Howard explained in an interview with IGN), but all these potatoes mashed up Starfield’s framerate. Moozipan said the game dropped below 20fps after the point the clip ends.

Bethesda games such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout are well-known for their capacity for item hoarding, with Skyrim players in particular with a penchant for collecting cheese. But it looks like Bethesda upped the item physics for Starfield, and its virtual potatoes are most appeeling.

Alone In The Dark Delayed To January

Alone in the Dark delayed

The upcoming reimagining of Alone in the Dark is skipping Halloween this year. Instead of inviting players back to Derceto on October 25, the survival horror adventure will now arrive on January 16.

In a press release, developer Pieces Interactive offers a candid explanation for the move: it doesn’t want the game to compete with October’s heavy hitters like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and another big horror game, Alan Wake 2.

“Our intention is to avoid competing with the wake of Alan's epic release and to evade the dazzling skyline of cities adorned by the graceful swings of Spider-Man," Pieces writes. "We aim to truly remain as Alone in the Dark as possible. To honor this, the spine-chilling horror game has been rescheduled to unveil its horrors on January 16th, 2024. This extension will serve a dual purpose: not only will it permit us to meticulously perfect the gaming experience, but it will also grant us the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the remarkable releases of October.”

The studio also released a new trailer starring David Harbour’s Edward Carnby, one of the game’s protagonists, showing off his performance and impressive facial capture.
