With the light novel series written by Kurone Kanzaki still ongoing, the material for adaptation is still there for the studio, with only two of eight volumes being used so far. The lack of news is most likely down to the effects of the pandemic affecting production, with profitability a key concern for the industry as a whole. It remains to be seen if Demon Lord, Retry! will get a second season in such circumstances.

With Log Horizon having successfully transported fans into the video game world and developing the adventures of Shiroe and the rest of the alliance for three seasons, there is much anticipation for a fourth season of the anime. Having concluded its latest run on March 31 last year, the half-length season was definitely not enough for fans. Log Horizon Season 4 Release Date

Despite its popularity, there is no confirmation of a new season of Log Horizon just yet. Although the first and second seasons were released a year apart, the third season only came out about seven years later. Much of this has to do with the source material of the anime, which is the light novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara and Mochichi Hashimoto.
