Players rushing to get into Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 have seemingly contributed to Virgin Media O2's "biggest gaming traffic spike on record".

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 released at 5pm on Wednesday 27th April - albeit a day earlier for Vanguard players - and the rush of players downloading and jumping into the new season has purportedly resulted in internet provider Virgin Media's busiest day of the year thus far - and its second-busiest since records began.

According to our sister site VGC, the average Virgin Media customer downloaded 12.1GB of data between 4pm and midnight on 27th April - that's up 29 per cent on the preceding week - whilst the busiest period of 8-10pm saw an uptick in data consumption, 11.9 per cent higher than usual and 23.8 per cent higher than the week before.

Today is a fairly big day for Microsoft Flight Simulator news, with relevant releases, reveals, and announcements on the menu.

First of all, Leonardo has released its brand new McDonnell Douglas MD-82 “Maddog”, which is the second advanced airliner we get in two days.

Netmarble released more English trailers of Level-5’s online JRPG Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.

This time around, we get brief introductions to three of the game’s playable classes, the swordsman, the witch, and the engineer.

It’s worth reminding that the game has already been active in Japan for several months, while pre-registration is already available in the west for iOS and Android. You’ll get an “Explorer Outfit” if you register and that the game will also be playable on PC.

Publisher CFK and developer Frontier Aja released a new trailer of the upcoming Touhou Project game Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony.

The game is a remaster for PC and Nintendo Switch of the legendary doujin game Koumajou Densetsu: Akeiro no Koukyoukyoku, also known as “Touhouvania” among the fans, which was originally released on Windows PC at Comiket 76 all the way back in 2009.

It’s coming on July 28 including an English localization, and the new trailer released today showcased the gameplay.

Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony has been loved by many gamers since its initial release, highly praised for its quality gameplay and soundtrack as well as Banpai Akira’s sharp and gothic reinterpretation of Touhou characters.

The legendary 2009 title comes back with HD remastered graphics, newly added dialogues, and English language support. Fans of the original game and Touhou Project can’t also miss full Japanese voice over that will be added in the new versions.

The developers at Sabotage Studio continue to release short but intriguing clips of their upcoming RPG Sea of Stars on the weekends, and today a new video has been revealed.

The brief video showcases a location called “Flooded Graveyard” as our heroes have to walk on a beam (with dedicated animations) to reach the classic hidden chest.

Late last year, block-and-slasher Minecraft Dungeons introduced seasonal events in which solo players could fight through escalating floors of a big, shifting tower. Now the second seasonal event is live, Luminous Night, which lets you fight through that same tower at night with new biomes, enemies and rewards.

Publisher Shiravune and developer Heliodor announced a release date for the upcoming visual novel Meteor World Actor: Badge & Dagger.

The game, which is defined as a “superpowered detective noir” visual novel, will launch on PC via Steam on June 10 with Japanese voices and subtitles in English and Chinese (simplified and traditional).

Sega released a new Company of Heroes 3 video featuring a discussion among developers about several different topics.

We hear from campaign map designer Cameron White and systems designer Andy Fedorchuck as they talk about the map, the campaign, companies, and quite a few more elements.

Today Atlus released the usual daily trailer for its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, showing some of its demons.

To be precise, we see Mokoi, Loki, Leanan Sidhe, Inugami, and Hanuman. Incidentally, this is the first time one of the trailers showcases Hanuman.

As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope, but this time, it only shows five lucky signs, Taurus, Scorpio, Pisces, Virgo, and Leo.

Soul Hackers 2 releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.
