Sexy Demon's Souls vinyl soundtrack now available to pre-order at select stores

One of the elements that makes FromSoftware's Demon's Souls so utterly engaging is its epic score, composed by the brilliant Shinsuke Kida. If you're both a Demon's Souls fan and one of those "It has a much 'fuller' sound" types, then you'll definitely be pleased to hear that the grim adventure's OST is now available to pre-order in sleek, double-LP vinyl format.

Microsoft Flight Simulator – Bali Airport Review (Aerosoft)

Aerosoft recently released I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (WADD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, bringing a new exotic location to the growing world of the sim.

The airport is located in an extremely scenic area on a narrow strip of land wedged between two gulfs, and it’s the second busiest airport in Indonesia.

It sees a lot of regular airline traffic year-round, but it’s perfectly suitable for general aviation, cargo, and charter operations as well. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the most lively airports I’ve seen in Microsoft Flight Simulator thanks to the live traffic feature (and AI aircraft don’t appear to encounter issues, which isn’t always the case with all third-party scenery).

You can purchase it on Aerosoft’s own store for approximately €20 including applicable VAT and it comes with its own installer. Getting things ready to go quick and painless and Aerosoft also has its own updater, which helps in keeping all of its products in tip-top shape.

3 Reasons Why You Should Be Playing Disco Elysium: The Final Cut

Disco Elysium was originally released at the tail-end of 2019, and I called it an incredibly bleak and gritty experience overall. It’s a tough game to play and it can be overwhelming, but just the sheer depth of the story and its character interactions make it worth checking out at the very least.

With the release of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, the base game has been enhanced even further. This is a good time for newcomers to check it out, and for those who have already played the original release to return and see what’s new. Here are three reasons why you should be playing Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.

Bungie Explains Destiny 2: Season 14 Ada-1 Vendor Changes And Transmog

Ada-1 is officially returning to the Tower for season 14's transmog addition in Destiny 2, but Guardians will notice something different from this particular Exo. With her return comes a few quality of life tweaks found within the Tower vendors, so what does that mean for Ada?

Bungie took to the game's blog once more for its weekly update, including what players can expect from Ada-1's reappearance. For those like me that are beyond excited for the arrival of the new transmog system, she will be the primary vendor associated with this aesthetic shift. In-game, it's called Armor Synthesis, and she will be the vendor that players go to in order to get a plethora of armor-focused items and ways to upgrade.

Every day, like other Tower vendors, Ada-1 will sell something special, with one randomly chosen armor mod from the general and armor slot groups. She will also offer one randomly chosen Combat Style armor mod, specifically from the Charged with Light and Warmind mod groups.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Pushed Out Of Spring

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was supposed to arrive sometime this spring but that will no longer be the case. Developer TT Games needs more time to assemble their ambitious love letter to the franchise, so it’s delaying the game to a yet-to-be-specified point in the future

TT Games shared a tweet announcing the news that doesn’t say much other than “we just need more time”.

Thanks to all our fans for your continued patience. pic.twitter.com/tCDV9Ikftd

— TT Games (@TTGames) April 2, 2021

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was first revealed during E3 2019. Some might be asking “wait, didn’t TT already make a bunch of Lego Star Wars games? What’s the difference?” This is true, however The Skywalker Saga covers all nine films in one game (which players can tackle in any order). This marks the first time The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker have gotten the Lego treatment since the last Lego Star Wars game was The Force Awakens back in 2016. The Skywalker Saga also features a host of improvements and new mechanics to make it a much deeper experience than the Lego games before it.

New Resident Evil Village Promo Art Reveals A New Masked Figure

Resident Evil Village is very much still a mystery, and we love Capcom for it. That being said, who is this mysterious masked figure that recently popped up in new promotional artwork for the latest game?

Twitter account @BIOHAZARDcast, an account that has shared numerous accurate information in the past regarding the Resident Evil franchise, recently shared new promotional art spotted in Japan. Ethan Winters is once more spotted alongside Chris Redfield and Rose, but another new face (face-ish) has been added into the mix with a Harlequinesque masked figure in the bottom left.

First Resident Evil Village PS4 Pro Gameplay Revealed

Capcom has shared quite a bit about Resident Evil Village, but everything seen thus far has been focused on how the new game runs on PlayStation 5. Now, we've got some new Resident Evil Village gameplay to feast those eyes on, this time centering around the PS4 Pro.

The latest look comes courtesy of IGN and while the scenes themselves are nothing new, it is the first time we've seen anything on last-gen hardware. The good news is that the two versions don't look terribly different, which is great considering so many still can't get a hold of a PlayStation 5 due to shortages and scalpers. The fact that the PS4 Pro version looks identical to the PS5 version is a good thing. For those that have a PlayStation 5 and wanted their time to be special, the PS5 has features that previous generations don't have, including faster loading times, more intuitive haptic feedback, 3D audio, and more.

Click here to watch embedded media

We'll be getting even more new looks at Resident Evil Village this month because Capcom has another showcase planned for the upcoming horror title. We don't know the exact date of the showcase, only that one is on the way following the previous event held in January.

The Last Of Us TV Series To Begin Filming In Calgary This July

HBO has a new adaptation in the works with The Last of Us TV series on the way. The upcoming show is getting ready to "go on the road" because filming is set to begin in Calgary, as confirmed by the Director's Guild of Canada.

In a new report from CBC Canada, the Director's Guild has confirmed the location and the time after months of rumors that this is where the show was headed. The Guild currently says that the HBO take is set to begin filming on July 5, 2021, in Calgary, with an expected wrap-up slated for June 8, 2022. Alberta Premier's Jason Kenney also hinted recently in a Facebook livestream that there would be a "very exciting announcement" dropping soon regarding the show.

With Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) leading the casting charge as Joel and Ellie, the "exciting announcement" could be more casting reveals now that the team is prepared to begin filming in just a few short months. Kantemir Balagov (Beanpole) is also slated to direct the upcoming HBO series alongside Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) as lead writer and co-executive producer.

MLB The Show 21 will be on Xbox Game Pass at launch

The previously PlayStation-exclusive MLB The Show franchise coming to new consoles was already one new step for the series this year, and now it's making another big one. This year's entry of MLB The Show will be making its way to Xbox Game Pass on day one, or April 20, 2021.

It's confirmed in an Xbox blog that both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions will be available on Game Pass, as well as Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming for Ultimate users. Both Xbox platforms will receive the standard edition, and there will be cross-platform play and progression.

MLB The Show was already confirmed as coming to other platforms, but seeing it also come to Game Pass right away is very interesting. The above trailer even opens with an Xbox logo, which is immediately followed by a PlayStation studio. It's not exactly the only game crossing lines between the two either; both Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo are PlayStation console exclusives at launch, despite now being under the Microsoft banner thanks to its purchase of Bethesda.

Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown for PS4 appears on Korean ratings board

Get ready to Ride the Tiger once again, Virtua Fighter fans. An unannounced listing for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown has popped up on the website of that bastion of industry spoilers: the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea. As spotted by Twitter user @nokcha334 the new title was rated on March 19 and listed as coming to the PS4 platform. This news is dangerously close to April Fool's Day for my liking...

While this is total speculation on my part, this listing suggests that Sega is preparing to release another new update for its fantastic 2006 release Virtua Fighter 5. The one-on-one 3D slugfest last saw attention back in 2010, with the release of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. The beloved but relatively low-key franchise laying has laid dormant since, despite pleas for a sequel from hardened fighting game fanatics, yer boy Moyse included.

While this is not the Virtua Fighter 6 that we all might have hoped for, this ratings board listing suggests that Virtua Fighter might be about to receive some form of fresh attention - which no doubt ties in with the mysterious "Virtua Fighter x eSports Project" announced by Sega back in September 2020. You better believe we'll keep you updated should confirmation and new info be forthcoming. Don't you go all mobile port on me, Akira...

Nintendo just put out a cute little Bravely Default 'personality quiz' on My Nintendo

Bravely Default II kind of came and went, but it's still on my mind.

This little JRPG helped kick off 2021 and it is still a Switch exclusive after all, so it's hard to forget! And it got a bit of My Nintendo merch, as a little extra marketing push. Now My Nintendo is back with another promo, but this one is a little more cheeky and less rewarding.

It's a "personality quiz" that you can access on the My Nintendo site. Thankfully it's zero Platinum Points, so there's no awkward digital barrier to pass. You just "buy" the quiz and have at it. While I presume a lot of folks will skip this over, it's a cute little time-waster for those of you who did dig the game, or might be on the fence.

More importantly for some, Nintendo also put out two digital wallpapers for the game, and they're pretty lovely. You can find them on the same page, or directly on the media section of My Nintendo. Like the other wallpapers, they're 50 Platinum Points each.

Fortnite added a Stonks Guy skin, and I can hear the groaning through my speakers

Coming fresh off of raptors, a map addition pretty much everyone is enjoying, Fortnite decided to lean into the memes and add the "Stonks Guy." You know, the "stocks are doing well" image you may have seen before? It was all for April Fools', but like several other jokes, this one is real.

The skin is 1200 V-Bucks (roughly $10), and references multiple goings-on recently, not just the meme itself. The phrase "the market is open and it's time to shine. Buy! Hold! Win!" with the subtitle "To the Moon!" is a direct homage to the whole WallStreetBets saga. He comes with the skin itself, which is basically Fortnite's take on the Stonks Guy, and the "Gains!" back bling, which is an orange rising arrow; also part of the meme.

Epic was so proud of it in fact, that I had to watch a video of it when I loaded up the game. And you couldn't mash a button to skip it: you had to hold down the skip button for multiple seconds. I haven't seen the skin yet in multiple games with hundreds of players as a sample size, so if you hate the idea of this, the "silence, brand" mantra seems to be winning out.

The good news is that there's a lot of recent in-game business to distract people from this stunt, as Fortnite just kicked off the "Spring Breakout" series of quests, which comes with its own set of XP and a reward (Webster's Tactical Quaxes). All you have to do for the main legendary questline is collect bouncy eggs on the ground, which can be done in battle royale or Team Rumble.

I've found that the trees near the lighthouse in the northwest of the map is a great place to farm them.

Hood: Outlaws and Legends - The Final Preview

When you think of Robin Hood, you’re probably more likely to imagine Mel Brooks and a band of merry men than dark fantasy or Game of Thrones. But Hood: Outlaws and Legends seeks to redefine this classic tale by marrying multiplayer heist action with a grim and bloody aesthetic, a combination that thoroughly impressed me over the course of my hands-on session with the game. It’s unique, it’s deep, and it could well be one of the intriguing multiplayer releases of 2021. In Hood: Outlaws and Legends, you take on the role of Robin Hood and his band as they attempt to rob from the rich and give to the poor. Over the course of three PvPvE phrases you infiltrate a keep, break into the vault, and attempt to escape with the treasure within. If you’re lucky, you’ll escape without ever alerting the guards. If you’re unlucky, you will have to fight to escape with your freshly stolen chest of gold. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=hood-outlaws-legends-screenshots&captions=true"] Opposing you is not just a keep full of knights, soldiers, and archers, but another group of thieves trying to steal the gold for themselves. This makes the heist an exciting race as the two teams battle the guards and each other in the course of trying to make off with the treasure, with a combination of stealth, communication, and smart map management being the key to victory. [poilib element="quoteBox" parameters="excerpt=Opposing%20you%20is%20not%20just%20a%20keep%20full%20of%20knights%2C%20soldiers%2C%20and%20archers%2C%20but%20another%20group%20of%20thieves%20trying%20to%20steal%20the%20gold%20for%20themselves."] It makes for a fresh and exciting multiplayer experience, one featuring elements like medieval melee combat that aren’t often seen in competitive multiplayer games.

The Real Science Behind Controller Drift

If you’ve ever had ghostly inputs into your control stick cause you to fail to catch a rare bug, miss a precision jump, or fall off the edge of a cliff into a bottomless void, you might be a victim of control stick drift. It’s annoying, notoriously hard to fix, and seems to be a growing problem. If you want to know why it happens (and how to fix it?), we’ve got to understand more of the science behind how your controller actually works. Fundamentally the thing that makes any and all of your electronics work is right in the name: electrons. Moving electrons from place to place is how we generate electrical current, and that current supplies the energy that allows our devices to run. [poilib element="accentDivider"]

How Your Controller Works

Underneath the plastic or metal shell of your device is its electric skeleton: the circuit board. Whether it’s your phone, your computer, or your game controller, all the critical parts that make your electronics function live on that circuit board. A circuit board is designed to send current to different places to accomplish different goals. To make a signal when a button is pressed, for example, or power lights, or sense the position of a thumbstick. These boards are carefully designed so that the current can only flow along tracks of conductive material (usually copper), and nowhere else. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-evolution-of-the-playstation-controller&captions=true"] That current has to be precisely controlled, because if it runs unrestricted it burns through your energy supply incredibly fast and generates a ton of heat, which can damage the components and leave your device broken and useless. We limit that electric current’s flow by putting either resistive elements or gaps across the circuit board. Gaps make a break in the circuit, so that the current will only flow if something is inserted to complete it.

Supercell Reveals Three New Games in the Clash Universe

Supercell, the mobile game company behind Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, normally likes to keep its game announcements close to its chest. But today, it dropped a trailer revealing a whopping three in-progress mobile games, all set in the Clash universe. The first game, Clash Quest, is a turn-based, tactical, adventure-strategy game where players send out troops on a grid-based map to fight enemies on an opposing map. Individuals can attack on their own, but combining groups of similar troops can be used for more powerful effect. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/04/02/supercell-announces-clash-quest-clash-mini-and-clash-heroes"] While Clash Quest is being developed at Supercell in Helsinki, the other two games are being developed at Supercell's newer outpost, in Shanghai. One of these is Clash Mini, a mobile board game that uses miniatures (hence the name) of classic Clash characters. The second, Clash Heroes, is a top-down action-adventure game that gives off light-hearted Diablo vibes. What may immediately strike Clash fans is that none of these games looks much like Clash Royale or Clans in terms of play, despite aesthetic similarities. That's on purpose, wrote Supercell in an announcement today: "These new games are nothing like prior Clash games. We want to focus on creating new ways of enjoying and playing with your favorite Clash characters, while deepening the world through new environments and gameplay experiences. That last part is key - we want to offer new ways of playing Clash and hope these games add on to your current gaming experience. Of course, there’s a chance you might not like these games - and that’s okay, it’s all good. We totally understand these are very different from Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.
