The Epic Games Store continues its weekly free game giveaway with another two free games this week and announced two games for next week.
The first free game is ABZÛ, as announced last week, an underwater exploration game from the art director behind Flower and Journey that originally released in 2016.
The other free game is Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, a tactical multiplayer shooter from Tripwire Interactive. It includes 64-player matches, over 20 maps, over 50 weapons, and character customization.
Both games can be claimed for free from the Epic Games Store beginning today until Thursday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. ET.
Epic Games also announced the two free games coming next week: Kingdom New Lands and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. The latter is an indirect sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which was given away for free from the Epic Games Store last April.
It also coincides with the release of the latest game in the series, Amnesia: Rebirth, which launches for Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 4 on Oct. 20.

For players who have been experiencing issues with the latest weapons added with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 6 update, there is good news.
Infinity Ward has released a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone that fixes the issues with the newly released assault rifle, AS-VAL, and nerfs the SP-R 208 sniper.
The reason behind the changes for the AS-VAL was due to a bug with the SSP 10-round magazine that would let bullets penetrate through multiple walls without damage fall-off, which you can see down below:
Today Microsoft Flight Simulator third-party add-on developer Orbx revealed a trailer for its upcoming Cityscape Sydney package.
The add-on includes over 100 custom points of interest, custom aerial imagery for the ground, water mask, and more.
You can check out the video below, showing the improvements over the default scenery.
You can also read an official description from Orbx’s store page.
Orbx is proud to return to our roots with our very first Australian product for Microsoft Flight Simulator – Cityscape Sydney! Over nine months in development, Cityscape Sydney is an enormous project that pushes the boundaries of what is possible with the current MSFS SDK.
Acclaimed developer Frank Schnibben (Cityscape Honolulu, Melbourne Cityscape for AUv2) has brought to life Australia’s largest city with his debut MSFS scenery with the assistance of our in-house team. A complete cityscape, the scenery captures the feel and energy of the harbourside capital, with thousands of details and features across the entire metropolitan area.
In 2013, Electronic Arts signed a deal granting them the exclusive rights to develop and publish Star Wars video games. For most of that time, sitting on the most lucrative licensing on the planet, they managed to release...three games, and cancelled at least three more.

Blaston is a PvP fighting game that's entirely in VR with some impressive, creative minds behind the adventure. With Left 4 Dead's Mike Booth and Doom's Tom Hall on board with the folks over at Resolution Games, Blaston is an unapologetic experience that isn't afraid to simply be what it is: a straightforward PvP experience that is just meant to be fun.
We recently had a chance to go toe-to-virtual-toe with the team behind this game to square off and shoot out. Immediately upon putting on the VR headset, my mind went straight to Cyberpunk with the neon colors and futuristic tones. That being said, the game itself plays like an old western shootout, pitting one player against another in a Matrix-style race to be the last man standing.
The game is simple: players face off against another person in a neon-drenched close-quarters arena. When the countdown hits zero, both players must utilize an arsenal of weapons to take each other out. Resolution Games CEO Tommy Palm tells Game Informer that each weapon was designed with sports in mind, giving them a playful edge to keep Blaston appropriate for all ages without making it camp. While not campy, some of the weapons are downright cute, and each has a its own strength when taking to the realm of PvP.
Today Microsoft and Asobo released a new development update of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

By now, you've probably heard of Genshin Impact. I spoke highly of the game in my review, but that didn't offer any tips for getting started. That's what this guide is for! Get ready to learn how miHoYo's game-as-a-service adventure works. For reference, all my Genshin Impact play has been on PC using a wired Xbox controller, but the game is available on PlayStation 4 and mobile devices.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play adventure game where you control a party of four adventurers in a big open world. Mini-arenas, small dungeons, bosses, puzzles, hundreds of chests, secrets and more are scattered around the world. It is essentially a game-as-service adventure title with many JRPG, ARPG, and MMORPG mechanics and features, though it is important to note that it is not a MMORPG. As a game-as-service, only two of Genshin's seven (possibly eight) regions are in the game right now, and that means there is way more of this amazing world coming, in terms of story, characters, quests, areas to explore, and more. You can get a taste of what's coming in this trailer here. We can see that we're going to get a frozen region, an Egyptian-themed area (With an Anubis character? Yu-Gi-Oh baby!), and a lot more. For reference, we are currently on Act 1 ... of 8 in that trailer. Wow.

If you've purchased FIFA 21 on current-gen consoles and are planning to pump tons of hours into Career Mode, Pro Clubs, Online Seasons, and Co-Op Seasons, be forewarned: your saves won't transfer to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
In response to Eurogamer's questions about the reasons behind this decision, FIFA Executive Producer Aaron McHardy stated that the team chose to focus on cross-generation improvements rather than enabling transferable saves for all of the game modes: "We decided that the time required to make all modes transferable was better used to build new features and improvements across the entire game, along with addressing feedback from our players." McHardy would go on to explain that server-based modes like Volta and Ultimate Team will transfer over instead.
We thought FIFA 21 was entertaining for the most part, but the constant grind often made progression a slog. Check out our review here.

NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Studios has confirmed that a Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate Edition is on the way and it will include the three new fighters revealed with Mileena, Rambo, and Rain. Also confirmed is a sweet new collector's (kollector's*) edition with a Sub-Zero mask that looks stunning. The bad news? It's only for the EU.
Warner Bros. tells Game Informer that the below Sub-Zero edition will only be available in the EU and will not be making its way over to the Americas. While sad, because it really does look incredible, it is nice to see Sub get some more love, especially with how incredible the vanilla game's collector's edition was.
For those in the EU, or for those that are planning to import, it comes with a 1:1 scale Sub-Zero Mask, a steelcase, exclusive Avalanche Sub-Zero DLC, and the Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate game package as well. Ultimate comes with the following:

Were you lucky enough to grab an RTX 3080 on release? No? Well, at least you’re in good company, because it sounds like the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 weren’t able to get their hands on one either. Another hotfix for the early access RPG arrived today to fix some technical troubles and multiplayer woes, including some GPU-specific problems that might’ve been avoided if Larian had access to hardware they’re not convinced even exists.
