Today Capcom opened a teaser website with a seven-day countdown, teasing a reveal of some kind.

The countdown is expected to expire on February 21 at 1:00 AM EST or 6:00 AM GMT depending on where you live.

At the moment, there are absolutely no hints to the nature of the announcement, but it’s very likely that it’s about a new game, unless Capcom is trolling us all.

There are certainly plenty of possibility, including a new Street Fighter game since Street Fighter V has comcluded its last season.

There is also the possibility of seeing the publisher revisit the Dragon’s Dogma franchise, and Devil May Cry V Hideaki Itsuno has been working on a new game which has made progress in 2021 according to his own tweeets (of course, there’s always the chance that Itsuno-san’s new game is a new Dragon’s Dogma.

Of course, this is all personal speculation, so you should take it with the customary grain of salt. If the choice was mine to make, that count down would reveal the Rival Schools logo for the much awaited return of the anime-like fighting franchise. A man can dream.

Of course, you’ll be able to read all about the reveal here on Twinfinite as soon as Capcom announces it officially, but for now we’ll have to wait.

Details about the Yae Miko Genshin Impact banner are here. It will feature three familiar four-star units alongside the new five-star. Two are Diona and Fischl. The other is Thoma. It will appear on February 16, 2022, the day the 2.5 update goes live.

Both Diona and Fischl are archers from Mondstadt. Diona is a Cryo-type character. She's known for her ability to create shields and heal allies. Fischl is an Electro character, just like Yae Miko. Her Elemental Skill lets her summon her bird ally Oz to the field to attack.

Meanwhile, Thoma is a character who was born in Mondstadt, but now calls Inazuma his home. He's a Pyro polearm-wielder. Like Diona, he's capable of generating shields for the party.

In addition to the Yae Miko banner details, miHoYo revealed which weapons will appear on Genshin Impact's next Epitome Invocation. The Primordial Jade Cutter sword will join Kagura's Verity as one of the two featured five-star weapons. The four-star Eye of Perception catalyst, Rainslasher claymore, Sacrificial Sword, The Stringless bow, and Wavebreaker’s Fin polearm drop rate will also be higher than usual.

Japan is going to add a new entry later this year to its long tradition of “Pokemon Jets,” beautifully decorated airliners featuring the cute critters from the ultra-popular gaming franchise.

The “Pikachu Jet BC2” will debut in May and will enter service for the local airline Skymark in June, joining the Pikachu Jet BC1, which is already active. If you’re wondering, “BC” is Skymark’s identifying IATA code.

The aircraft will feature the iconic flying Pikachu with the balloons, a massive Wailord (which is described in the press release as portrayed in nearly 1:1 scale), Corsola, Magikarp, and Shaymin Sky Forme (thanks Rebecca Stone for the expertise).

The aircraft itself is a 10-year-old 737-800 registered with the code JA73NG, which will be repainted for the occasion in May. It will operate on routes between Okinawa, Naha, and Simojishima, and will stay in service with this special livery for five years.

The cabin will be decorated with Pokemon headrests and the flight attendants will wear Pokemon aprons and serve drunks in Pokemon cups. Nintendo’s popular critters will also appear on boarding passes, priority tags, and more, while dedicated music will be broadcasted during the flights.

The trend of the “Pokemon Jets” started all the way back in 1998 when ANA dedicated the first three of its aircraft to the franchise, a Boeing 747 and two 767. More followed culminating with perhaps the most famous 747 which was painted with Pikachu’s bright yellow in 2004.

Many around the world mourned when old faithful JA8957 retired in 2013, as it had become a beloved common sight at Tokyo’s Haneda airport, and it was really impossible not to notice it when it was parked on the aprons.

The time to return to Middle-Earth will soon be upon us, as Amazon has dropped the first trailer for the ambitious The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series at Super Bowl LVI. If you have been excited about this prequel, then this will be a definite must-watch to prepare yourself.

We see different characters getting the spotlight throughout the one-minute trailer, with Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and Isildur (Maxim Baldry) the names most would recognise. With inspiration from Tolkien’s timeline in The Silmarillion, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will also feature new characters and additions.

Bandai Namco has been releasing new clips of its upcoming free-to-play first-person shooter Gundam Evolution, showcasing one of its playable mobile suits.

This time, we get to take a look at the controversial System-∀99 ∀ Gundam, which is described as a mobile suit that can deal damage at medium distances, in crowded situations, and has high flight capabilities.

Its main weapon is the Beam Rifle which can be charged for higher damage. If you charge the beam to the maximum, it will actually go straight through enemies and hit those behind them as well.

Its first active skill is the Judo overhead throw, which can grapple enemies while dealing damage and stunning them. Your own armor will also be enhanced during execution so you will ignore stuns and knockback.

The second active skill is Nano Skin. It’ll repair you gradually and will make your armor shine. Receiving damage does not interrupt this effect,

The ∀ Gundam’s G-Maneuver is obviously Moonlight Butterfly. Basically, it lets you fly for a certain period of time while being able to attack enemies at the same time.

If you are even remotely interested in Dune: Spice Wars, the upcoming real-time strategy and 4X hybrid from developers Shiro Games, then the latest update about the Harkonnens should be worth your time. For anyone who is familiar with this particular faction, then their tactics should come as no surprise.

As opposed to House Atreides, House Harkonnen is all about manipulation and brute force. Led by Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, one of the wealthiest members of the Landsraad and Duke Leto Atreides’ most dangerous rival, he is surrounded by councillors that are as vicious and cruel as he is.

With the launch of Dying Light 2, Techland is now ready to roll out even more content for the post-apocalyptic parkour adventure. In fact, the team has stated that it will be supporting the game for at least five years, and everything begins with the first free DLC. Players of Dying Light 2 will be getting the free Authority Pack DLC, which is all about the Peacekeeper faction.

The DLC will include both an armor set as well as a weapon themed around the law-keepers, and it is distinctly different from what you would find the Survivors wearing in the game. The signature blueish riot gear style certainly fits their modus operandi, and you can rock the look even if you aren’t on their side.

With Super Bowl weekend in full swing, it means the time for big blockbuster trailers is now. And right on cue, Marvel has released the latest trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and it is one that will make fans really excited. Ahead of the movie’s May 6 release, it seems Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr Strange will be joined by none other than Patrick Stewart’s Professor Charles Xavier.

The familiar voice can be heard at the 1:18 mark in the new trailer, where Strange is seemingly brought before a panel of likely powerful beings. Could this be the MCU’s version of the Illuminati? Professor X’s upcoming appearance is not the only noteworthy one in the latest trailer, with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez making her debut) set to get more screentime as well.

While there have been many expensive, individual Pokémon cards going up for sale lately, and even some boxes of cards, an upcoming auction is going to be listing something far more interesting: a whole sheet of Pokémon cards that never made it to a packet in the first place.

We got our first official trailer for Moon Knight just a few weeks ago, offering up a good look at the vigilante’s costume. The show got yet another TV spot at the Super Bowl tonight, and yep, it still looks pretty darn exciting.

Oscar Isaac takes on the role of Steven Grant, a rather mild-mannered and meek guy who finds himself suffering from severe insomnia. He soon finds out that he’s sharing a body with Marc Spector, a mercenary, and as their personalities and memories merge, he becomes the Moon Knight, a vigilante who patrols the city at night.

The show stars Oscar Isaac in the leading role, alongside Ethan Hawke and Kevin Feige, and is set to start streaming on Disney+ on March 30.

Good Smile Company uploaded a 15-minute-long video detailing the making of its Zagreus Nendoroid from Hades. It covers everything from deciding the figure’s concept art based on the original material to the actual sculpting process. Though this video only covers Zagreus, it offers insight into how Good Smile Company approaches making and selling its figures.

During the interview portion, Creative Producer Mari mentioned that because of the Japanese influences in Hades’s aesthetic, it was easy to transfer his face onto the Nendoroid. After deciding on how the Nendoroid will look, the team starts to sculpt it and adjust it as needed. The team also holds meetings to discuss its production, as well as any alterations they might need.

Pre-orders for the Zagreus Nendoroid are open until March 9, 2022. It has a release window of October 2022 for Japan and December 2022 for North America. The Nendoroid will come with his Stygian Blade, Bloodstone, and Nectar as optional parts. During WonHobby 35, Good Smile Company revealed that a Nendoroid of Thanatos from Hades is also in development too. Its journey from illustration to figure is likely to be the same as Zagreus’.

Today third-party developers had reveals and assets to share about upcoming scenery add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

First of all, we get an announcement from FSimStudios, which revealed its rendition of Toronto City Billy Bishop Airport (CYTZ) in Canada.

It’ll be released within the next couple of weeks and it’ll be the first of the developer’s “premium” line promising “many more features, details, and landmarks” compared to previous products from the same brand, on top of “ultra-sharp textures, amazing level of detail and accuracy, fully modeled interiors, landmarks beyond the airport (which in this case means downtown Toronto), and more.

The previously announced Calgary Airport (CYYC) will also get the same treatment, and Victoria International Airport (CYYJ) has also been announced, bundled with Victoria Airport.

Right on the heels of the season 2 finale, the official Japanese Twitter account announced development of Demon Slayer season 3. It will adapt the manga’s Swordsmith Village Arc. Aside from the key visual, there is also a teaser trailer that is under a minute long. However, the video is not available outside of Japan.

The key visual for Demon Slayer season 3 teases two more Hashira that Tanjiro will meet and get to know. The teaser trailer consists of the same two images set over music. While Mugen Train introduced Rengoku and Entertainment District featured Uzui, Swordsmith Village will shine the spotlight on Mitsuri and Muichiro. As a reminder, Mitsuri is the Love Pillar and Muichiro is the Mist Pillar. While the two made minor appearances in the first season, the audience did not get to see much beyond the surface facets of their personalities.

The Japanese Twitter for NieR: Reincarnation announced that the game will get a FFXIV collaboration event. It will start in early Summer 2022, and more details will appear in the near future. This collaboration event appears to be exclusive to the Japanese server for now.

This is not the first time that the worlds of NieR and FFXIV collided. A crossover event between NieR: Automata and Final Fantasy XIV resulted in multiple raid quests and glamor items for players’ Warriors of Light. Previous NieR: Reincarnation collaboration events (such as the Drakengard 3 one) resulted in limited characters and weapons. It is likely that the Final Fantasy XIV event will be the same.

If someone wants a more traditional otome game, the visual novel Cafe Enchante is my favorite recent release. The characters are fun. It carefully treads the lines between literary genres. The result is a cast of likable characters and stories that can have both silly slice-of-life and dramatic, romantic moments.

If someone wants to go non-traditional? I have to go with Rune Factory 4 Special. Hey, you can farm! You can fight! You can romance an array of men and women!  Kotobukiya hosted its Collection Online 2022 Winter event and had an exciting reveal for Ace Combat fans.

The brand is releasing two plastic model kits of the iconic CFA-44 Nosferatu fighter, which debuted in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation and has recently been featured as a DLC in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

It’ll come in a painted version in the colors of the Vampire Team of the Estovakian Air Force, piloted by Ilya Pasternak, and in a “For Modelers Edition” that will be provided unpainted.

The second kit does pretty much what it says on the tin, offering hobbyists the chance to paint the model however they want. This is a staple of Kotobukiya’s Ace Combat models.

It’ll come with various weaponry options including the UAV-45 “Malebolge” and the EML “Purgatorio.”

You can check out what both editions look like in the gallery below. The “For Modelers Edition” is showcased in Ace Combat 7 colors.

Athena Asamiya from KOF 98 is officially joining the SNK Bishoujo figure line. Kotobukiya announced the figure alongside an illustration of the character in bishoujo style. The figure will release sometime in Summer 2023. There is no confirmed price or release date.

Athena is the third character to appear in the SNK Bishoujo figure series. She first appeared as the main character of Psycho Soldier, released in 1986. While the character has since appeared in various forms across the KOF series, this particular figure is based on her appearance in The King of Fighters '98.

Originally announced in March 2021, the SNK Bishoujo series will include characters from SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy as well as KOF 98. Artist Shunya Yamashita will provide reference illustrations. On the figure's official page, Yamashita stated that he is proud to be part of the project as there are very few figures of Athena from KOF 98.

The upcoming fighting game The King of Fighters XV is getting very close to its release, and SNK is continuing to reveal new content.

Following the reveal of the music of Team Super Heroine, four more videos have been published, featuring the BGM for Team Rival, Team Ikari, Team G.A.W, and Team Secret Agent.

The videos also provide a chance to take a look at the stages without characters to obscure them.

One of Kotobukiya’s most popular figure lines is the “Bishoujo” line, and this time around it’s Transformers‘ turn to get its character turned into waifus.

The Bishoujo series transforms popular (and often western) characters into beautiful ladies designed by illustrator Shunya Yamashita, and that concept has been applied to Optimus Prime.

The actual figure will be available for pre-orders this summer, but you can check out the original illustration and a prototype in the video below.

As you can see, Optimus Prime won’t be the only Transformer that will be turned into a beautiful girl. It’ll happen with Megatron as well. And then who knows? Kotobukiya calls it a “series” so there could be more in the future.

If you’re wondering, Bishoujo in Japanese means “beautiful girl” and this line of figures does exactly what it says on the tin.

At the moment, there is no information on pricing or a specific release date. We’ll let you know when Kotobukiya announces them, likely in the summer when pre-orders become available.

With the success of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime going strong, it was perhaps inevitable for the adaptation of the manga to continue past the Entertainment District Arc.

Today Aniplex released a teaser confirming that the next part of the story, the Swordsmith Village Arc, is indeed going to be animated.

The teaser shows static artwork of the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji and the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito.

No more information has been provided on airing times but looks like we won’t be missing our Demon Slayer anime fix for the foreseeable future.

Incidentally, if you’d rather play than just watch, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, & PC. You can read our review.

A Nintendo Switch version is coming in June.

New character reveals tend to get the most attention when it comes to Genshin Impact. But for the dedicated player? New weapon additions can often be almost as important. As such, the arrival of Genshin Impact version 2.5 may be notable for the addition of Yae Miko to the playable roster, but also for its new weapons.

Developer miHoYo detailed these weapons in a tweet ahead of the patch's February 16, 2022 launch.

The tweet drops new details about two Genshin Impact 2.5 weapons. Both are catalyst-type weapons, usable on characters like Klee, Sucrose, Lisa, Mona, Ningguang, Yanfei, Kokomi, and Barbara. One will be available for free: the four-star Oathsworn Eye. The Three Realms Gateway Offering event will offer Oathsworn Eye in its event shop. It's a catalyst with an Attack Percentage bonus, as well as an effect that boosts Energy Recharge for a short time after using a character's elemental skill. This can make it useful for characters that focus on using high-cost elemental bursts, like Kokomi and Ningguang.

Kotobukiya is developing two new Hololive figures of Oozora Subaru and Yuzuki Choco. Both figures will be 1/7 scale and have no confirmed release date or pricing information. Additionally, Kotobukiya has also provided sculpt images of upcoming Nakiri Ayame and Murasaki Shion figures.

Oozora Subaru and Yuzuki Choco are part of the second generation of Hololive VTubers. The second generation also includes Nakiri Ayame and Murasaki Shion. In the design illustration, Choco is wearing her standard outfit with her nurse's lab coat. Similarly, Subaru also appears in her standard attire which seems to include her megaphone and sports towel.

In terms of upcoming releases, Kotobukiya also updated fans on the progress of its Murasaki Shion and Nakiri Ayame figures. As the figures are still in development, the sculpts may be subject to change. True to her Oni character, the Ayame figure is surrounded by floating spirit orbs. There is no confirmed price or release date for the two figures.

An industry insider believes we'll have that rumoured HD remaster of GoldenEye 007 confirmed in the next few weeks.

Interestingly, he thinks the announcement will come via Microsoft rather than Nintendo, which published the game the first time around.

Capcom will add new Silkbind attacks with the upcoming release of the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion. While details are scarce, it's likely we'll get to learn more about the new actions and how to unlock them in the coming months.

The Wirebug mechanic and Silkbind attacks were introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. Using the titular Wirebug, hunters can jump across maps, climb walls, and fight monsters with increased mobility.

Silkbind attacks, on the other hand, are weapon-specific attacks that can do anything from negate damage to launching hunters into the air. Silkbind attacks also have the added benefit of getting monsters closer to a mountable state. There are three Silkbind attacks for all 14 weapon types, totaling 42 unique moves. Some of the moves are only available after players have unlocked them via quests.

It's not the first time that Capcom has added entirely new mechanics with an expansion, either. In the Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion, the company also introduced the Clutch Claw. Similar to the Wirebug, the Clutch Claw allowed hunters to grapple onto monsters and deal damage while riding them.
