Obi-Wan or Anakin? Test Your Quote Knowledge in This Star Wars Quiz

1 year 10 months ago

With the dust finally settling after the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV miniseries came to a close, we’ve been left ruminating on a few questions swirling around in our noggin: Will there be a follow-up series? Who is Obi-Wan’s brother? What the heck were those yellow pod-things in the Inquisitorious?

Nevertheless, a little mystery is sometimes not such a bad thing. But, here’s one thing we do know for sure: We all know a little bit more about the Old Ben we meet in Star Wars: Episode I – A New Hope. With that in mind, then, we thought that now would be a perfect time to test your freshly-obtained knowledge.

All you have to do is identify who said what in our latest Star Wars quote quiz. Was it the compassionate and caring, Obi-Wan Kenobi? Or was it the sand-hating Jedi-turned-evil, Anakin Skywalker? It’s your choice.

Before we dive in, it’s worth noting that all these quotes have been lifted from the core Star Wars movies and the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi show. So you won’t see any quotes from the novels or the animated series, The Clone Wars. That wee tidbit’s for free, folks!

So, without further ado, grab your Kyber crystals and hop in those TIE fighters as we journey back to that galaxy far, far away. Can you identify who said what in all of these Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker quotes? Good luck and remember… don’t get cocky!

My Hero Ultra Rumble Gets New Trailer Showing Familiar Heroes and Villains; Closed Beta Announced

1 year 10 months ago

Bandai Namco is hosting its anime games panel from Anime Expo in Los Angeles, and they started with a My Hero Academia game, My Hero Ultra Rumble, which was showcased with a new trailer.

It’s a free-to-play battle royale game based on teams of three players, and each character has their own strengths and weakness, reproducing the quirks from the anime and manga.

The trailer showcases familiar heroes and villains, alongside a look at their quirks.

In the game, you can encounter civilians which you can protect or attack, behaving like a hero or a villain. Teamwork is the most important part of this title, which isn’t surprising considering that it is a battle royale game.

While the game is free to play, there will be optional microtransactions, including original costumes that never appeared in the original anime.

We also hear that a worldwide closed beta is coming for PS4 between August 17 and August 21, so fans will have a chance to try it out soon enough.

As Usual, the game lost the “Academia” part of the title for the west, while in Japan it’s called “My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble.” Likely, this is due to licensing issues.

My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble rill come for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC

Sony Picks Tobii To Provide Eye Tracking Technology for PSVR2

1 year 10 months ago

You might not think of just how much there is to developing a modern top-of-the-line VR headset. Eye tracking is an important part of the future of VR and Sony has chosen eye tracking technology company Tobii to develop for the PSVR2.

At present, there aren’t any consumer level VR headsets specifically for video gaming that deal with eye tracking. At present, eye tracking in VR is mostly available in more productivity or business-based uses like the Microsoft HoloLens 2 ($3,500 base price) or the HTC Vive Pro Eye ($1,400). We should see that stat to change as the technology becomes more mainstream.

To that end, Tobii is already quite big in the world of video games, with their Tobii Eye Tracker 5 product for PC games (non-VR) that handles head and eye tracking.

Tobii describe the important eye tracking as:

Eye tracking is a sensor technology that decodes gaze. It is a foundational technology for a broad range of applications, including scientific research, behavioral analysis, and assistive technology.

While this isn’t only an application and a technology for gamers, eye tracking can take over something like aiming with a mouse (or analog stick) to bring the action to a more natural level.

I am an Air Traffic Controller: Airport Hero Haneda Announced for Nintendo Switch Including English Language

1 year 10 months ago

Today Japanese developer Sonic Powered announced the upcoming release of I am an Air Traffic Controller: Airport Hero Haneda for Nintendo Switch.

The game will release on September 8, 2022, and quite surprisingly, it’ll include English language support on top of Japanese.

As the title indicates, it’s an air traffic controller simulation based on the Tokyo Haneda airport in Japan, challenging the player with the task to direct aircraft around the aprons and runways in order to ensure smooth operation.

The I am an Air Traffic Controller series, originally developed by TechnoBrain for PC, has been around for 24 years since it debuted in July 1998. Recently, Technobrain released I Am an Air Traffic Controller 4 in English on Steam (featuring Haneda as well), followed by the Naha DLC, with Sapporo New Chitose incoming.

On the other hand, Sonic Powered has been releasing console spin-offs on PSP and Nintendo portables (Nintendo DS and then 3DS) since 2006 with the subtitle Airport Hero, proving quite successful in Japan and even getting a handful of localization.

Now the Airport Hero series is finally making the jump to the newest portable, the Nintendo Switch, and the fact that it’s coming in English is definitely great for the fans who don’t speak Japanese.

How to Fix Valorant Voice Chat/Comms Not Working

1 year 10 months ago

Riot Games’ tactical shooter, Valorant, is now eight months on from its initial release, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t one or two lingering issues still impacting some players. Here’s how to fix Valorant voice chat not working if you’re having trouble using the in-game communication.

How to Fix Valorant Comms Not Working

Before doing anything else to fix your Valorant comms, try going into “Privacy settings” on your desktop, clicking on “microphone” and double checking that “allow desktop apps to access your microphone” is checked on. Fixed it? If not, keep reading.

How to Fix Valorant Voice Chat Not Working

First, we’ll start this guide by stating that although we do see some players struggling with this particular issue, it is by no means a widespread bug/glitch. There isn’t some issue with the current version of the game that is commonplace.

Unfortunately, if you’re struggling with in-game chat you’re in the minority. It isn’t typical, especially beyond Patch 1.07 or so, which is a good five months old at this point.

More likely, then, it is a problem on your end. So, we’ll start with the basics.

Ever since the Portland Timber FC were founded and joined the MLS back in 2009, its fanbase, aka the Timbers Army has become known as one of the most passionate and unique football clubs in all of soccer. Earlier this week on Twitter, the fans and team showed off that passion by not only supporting pride and equality but also showing they love video games like Night in the Woods.

In the tweet below by AP Sports Writer Anne Peterson, you can see the Timbers Army cheering vigorously at a home game, holding up banners that say “From Stonewall Brick and Portland an Axe, Respect Our Pride or Expect Our Wrath.” After this, none other than Mae Borowski pops up wearing a Portland Timbers kit. Overwatch 2’s Junker Queen Feels More Like a DPS Hero Than a Tank

1 year 10 months ago

It seems like it was only just yesterday that we got an Overwatch 2 beta, and Blizzard’s already pushed out a second one to show off their new tank hero, Junker Queen. I’ve spent the past couple days playing around with her kit, and it’s safe to say I’m definitely not as high on her as I was on new DPS hero Sojourn.

Junker Queen‘s aesthetic and design is brilliant. It’s so Mad Max-like, which makes sense because she’s basically the ruler of the junkyard and cretins like Junkrat bow to her. Probably. To fit with her design, her main weapon is a shotgun, though she has a throwing knife and a large axe at her disposal as well.

Let’s get down to brass tacks: her kit is really fun to mess around with. She has quite a bit of versatility, even if she might be a bit too reliant on heals to really work on your team at the moment. During my time with the beta, I died a ton playing as her, but not before whacking a bunch of people on the enemy team with an oversized axe. They healed up quickly, but still, it was a good time.

The problem with Junker Queen, in my very amateurish opinion, is that she doesn’t feel like an especially good tank character. Overwatch‘s roles are very clearly defined: tanks are there to protect and create space for their team, supports are there to heal up their team, and DPS characters are there to kill things. Junker Queen’s kit gives me the impression that she’s trying to do a little bit of everything, and not really excelling at any of them.

Is Netflix Down Right Now?

At the moment, Netflix is currently reporting higher outages than usual. This all started at 12:00 AM EST last night, and then increased considerably at 3:00 AM EST, as Down Detector showed that over 10,000 reports had been filed. The first timeframe coincides with the release of the highly anticipated Stranger Things 4 Volume 2, meaning that the high volume of people trying to watch it likely overloaded the servers.

What KD Is in Fortnite, Explained

The K/D ratio in Fortnite or in any other battle royale title is the kill-death ratio, which is the ratio of the number of kills a player gets versus the number of times they have died. Usually, this is the parameter most consider when judging how good a player is in the game. Most professional players and streamers have a high K/D ratio, meaning they eliminate a ton of players before going down themselves.

So, K/D ratios are a great indicator of how good you are in Fortnite. An improvement in the K/D ratio suggests that the player is getting good at the game. Kill to death ratio or KD is one of the most prevalent statistics for competitive multiplayer games and Fortnite is no different.

Knowing and understanding your Fortnite K/D ratio can help you understand where you stack up against other players and also work towards improving it.

How to check your K/D in Fortnite?

The easiest way of knowing about your K/D in Fortnite is by checking your stats in the game. All you need to do is fire up Fortnite and log into the game. Then, simply head over to the “Career” tab and click on it.

Once in the Career tab, click on the profile tab and under here you can pick the different modes to see how they perform against other players.

What Is Trials of Reckoning in War of the Visions?

Trials of Reckoning is one of three major PvE events that get rotated in and out in War of the Visions. These usually coincide with some sort of collaboration, or a campaign promoting new or rerun units. At the time of writing, the current Trials of Reckoning event is themed around the Final Fantasy X event rerun, which means that players will be able to farm for special FFX equipment recipes, like Tidus’s Necklace and Auron’s Sunglasses.

The core loop of this event mainly centers around farming out quests for Boss Tickets, which can then be used to farm big boss fights. Completing a boss fight will reward you with medals, which can be used in a lottery system to get plenty of rewards like equipment recipes, Awakening Prisms, and Memories. Alternatively, they can also be spent in the Mog Shop for other recipes and materials.
