The Dark Pictures Anthology Continues With 'House Of Ashes'

3 years 6 months ago

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is available now following the launch of Man of Medan, but there is more horror yet to come. Supermassive Games has revealed the next chapter on the way with a new trailer showing off House of Ashes. While the reveal trailer is short, it does bode well for continuing on the trend seen in the anthology thus far.

“They say the souls of the dead went deep underground to the House of Ashes, where they lived on dust plagued by the demons of the underworld,” says the foreboding narration. For those that haven't checked out the anthology's previous two games with Man of Medan and Little Hope, no worries. This is an anthology, which means it's not a continuous storyline. While each game offers something unique for horror fans, it's not required to play the previous two in order to enjoy what House of Ashes has to offer.

Check out the official chapter story reveal in the video below:

Watch Dogs: Legion Urges You To Wear A Mask To Save Lives

3 years 6 months ago

Within the opening moments of Watch Dogs: Legion, you learn you can equip your agents with masks. Ubisoft is using some of these in-game personas to illustrate the importance of wearing a mask during the Covid-19 pandemic. The short video (which you can see below) is on Watch Dogs: Legion's official Twitter and Instagram channels, and will hopefully be a nice reminder for people that they should wear a mask and always have one on hand when going into public spaces.

Covid-19 cases continue to surge in the United States and in other parts of the world, and we all need to do our part to limit its spread and keep the people around us safe – whether it's family, friends, or even strangers who we just happen to be standing in line with.

Watch Dogs: Legion released last Thursday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and is the third installment in the series, set in a dystopian version of London that is ruled by a militaristic company. Enhanced next-generation versions of Legion will be available at launch for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Best Gamer Halloween Costumes, Including Hilarious "Gamer Grill"

3 years 6 months ago

Halloween as a holiday may be over, but our love for some of the coolest gaming costumes lives on forever in our hearts. From one gamer's pun-y take on the "Gamer Grill" gamer girl meme to some seriously impressive Miles Morales love, here are some of our favorite Halloween costumes we've come across.

First up, I've got to give a nod to r/the_mess_express because we've seen a million iterations of this meme, but this costume is beyond perfect:

Mod Corner: Silent Hills P.T. Recreated In Doom

3 years 6 months ago

While the future of Silent Hills remains unclear and P.T. remains an unfinished journey, one Doom fan decided to carry on this horror adventure's legacy in a different way. Hideo Kojima's P.T. has seen many iterations since the demo was released, including mods meant to piece everything together to create a 'full' game. The latest fan to try their hand at solidifying this horror experience decided to recreate P.T. in Doom.

This isn't a total 1.1 remake but the P.T. Doom creation from Andrea Gori is still darn impressive. Every sequence has been recreated within Doom as close to the original P.T. experience as possible. The best part for those that love the retro feel of Doom, this experience looks incredibly accurate to the P.T. demo without losing the retro texturisation we are all so fond of.

Take a look at the walkthrough in the video below:

Click here to watch embedded media

For those that want the Doom P.T. experience, it's downloadable now for those that have GZDOOM (which is free) on PC. For those that have other mods active, it is important to keep an eye on what's compatible and what isn't. According to the creator, this experience won't be game-breaking with other mods as long as they are specifically using GZPT. Anything outside of that is liable to cause crashing and other breaking bugs.

Here's What Fortnite Brings To PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series X/S

3 years 6 months ago

Fortnite

Fortnite is inarguably one of the biggest games of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation. In fact, it was such an influential game and phenomenon that we called it generation-defining in our end-of-generation awards. Today, developer Epic Games detailed exactly what its iconic battle royale game brings to the next-gen consoles when it launches alongside them next week.

On the Xbox Series X/S side of things, players can expect 60 frames-per-second performance (even in splitscreen), with 4K resolution on the Series X and 1080p resolution on the Series S. The Xbox Series X version delivers dynamic visuals, with trees and grass responding to explosions, better simulations for smoke and liquid, and all-new storm and cloud effects. The Series S supports most of those enhancements as well, but Epic doesn't specify exactly which ones. The load times on both consoles are also significantly improved, delivering textures faster while also getting you into matches quicker.

Netflix's The Witcher Is Partnering With McFarlane Toys For New Figure Line

3 years 6 months ago

Netflix's The Witcher season 2 is in progress currently after several major hiccups surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With a few firsts looks and a little recasting, the witchers have yet another surprise in store for fans: a new toy line from McFarlane Toys.

This isn't the first time McFarlane Toys has adapted the Witcher universe but the new additions will be specific to the Netflix series, a series set before the time seen with CD Projekt RED's adaptation. The news of the new line comes by way of Toys News International with confirmation that the new line will include a few figures, though which characters we'll see have yet to be revealed. We do have a spiffy teaser image though, one that includes the wolf and swallow symbol:

New Toys International

McFarlane Toys isn't abandoning the games though, don't worry. Just last month the toy company confirmed a few new additions to its Withcer line up, including Eredin and the new Gold Label series that is available now to pre-order.

Beyond Good And Evil 2 Update From Ubisoft Promises "Game Is Progressing Well"

3 years 6 months ago

Click here to watch embedded media

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was finally announced after years of rumors during E3 2017, and while we've had a few additional looks at the game since then, it's been mostly quiet on the Ubisoft front. With the recent events of game creator/director Michel Ancel leaving the games industry altogether, for reasons that seem more complicated than what was first revealed, the future of the sequel doesn't seem as bright as many fans had hoped.

During a recent earnings call (which also revealed the delay of Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine), Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot assured investors that the game is not stuck in development hell and that it is "progressing well."

Despite losing such a key name as part of the development process with Ancel's departure, Guillemot promised that "The game is progressing well. The world is really fantastic. As you can see, Netflix also decided to take that universe and create a movie with it. So there's a lot of progress in that team and the game is coming along very well."

1UP Is A Video Game Comedy About Women In Esports [Update]

3 years 6 months ago

Update (11/02/20): The original version of this story referenced the film having a "backdrop of GamerGate," and being "about women in esports and GamerGate."  Game Informer received an email from BuzzFeed Studios PR saying these statements are factually incorrect, so we have removed those specific mentions of GamerGate.

Original Story: Video game films are largely regulated to pure adaptations of existing games. Once in a while, though, you get films like 1UP, which uses gaming as a backdrop to tell a more personable story. The underdog comedy begins production this winter and centers on women in esports, and the sexism that often surround it.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming film stars Paris Berelc (Hubie Halloween, Alexa & Katie) as Vivian Lee, an eSports player who quits her college team after enduring sexist behavior from her male teammates. At the risk of losing her scholarship, though, she’s forced to assemble her own team led by an “enigmatic coach” played by Ellen Page (The Umbrella Academy, Juno).

Some PlayStation 4 Assassin's Creed Games Won't Work On PlayStation 5

3 years 6 months ago

Ubisoft shared a blog post today explaining how cross-progression, cross-play, and backwards compatibility will work for certain games once next-gen consoles arrive. It’s an informative read, but one thing that stands out is that a handful of the publisher’s PlayStation 4 catalog, including several Assassin’s Creed games, won’t be playable on PlayStation 5.

While all Ubisoft Xbox One games will be backwards compatible on Xbox Series X/S, the same won't be true for the following PlayStation 4 games on Playstation 5:

With the imminent release of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the Game Informer crew sat down with Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games' Vice President & Head of Creative, to discuss and explore the comic book origins and inspirations behind Insomniac's upcoming PlayStation exclusive. Specifically, Bill shares how the team found a natural fit by focusing on an older Peter Parker and younger Miles Morales within the same story, talks about the importance of representation within Marvel-based media, and how it all goes back to the genesis of Miles and the intended purpose behind his creation less than a decade ago.

Additionally, the Marvel Games vice president recommends the best comic books to learn more about Miles Morales and his supporting characters, as well as shares one of his favorite moments from The Amazing Spider-Man issue #33 and how it encapsulates the spirit of not only Marvel Comics, but the fast-approaching Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game.

Watch Dogs: Legion Is Taking Over All Other Ubisoft Games

3 years 6 months ago

Click here to watch embedded media

Watch Dogs: Legion is out and highly interactive adventure is all about hackers, revolution, and the freedom to play how you want. In a clever marketing move from Ubisoft, Watch Dogs: Legion is hacking its way over onto other Ubisoft big games like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and more.

Our own keen-eyed Brian Shea noticed something was a little off with Assassin's Creed Odyssey's cover art when looking through his gaming library and upon that discovery, there was a rabbit hole of hilarious marketing and Watch Dog crossovers to be found.

Watch Dogs: Legion places the player smack dab in the middle of a near-future London where they will join the resistance. Unlike the previous two games, there is no main protagonist. Instead, players can recruit from hundreds of NPCs, all with their own skills, personalities, and even voice lines. Hacking, as is the franchise's staple, is key and what better way to showcase that than to have Ubisoft's latest game "hack" all others?

Where Is Dying Light 2?

3 years 6 months ago

Recently we wrote up about the returning Left 4 Dead 2 crossover to the first Dying Light. Immediately, the comments about "what happened to Dying Light 2" swarmed following several major changes happening behind-the-scenes. Following the in-depth look at the anticipated sequel during E3 2019, Techland has parted ways with key members of its team and placed the upcoming game under the 'delayed indefinitely' label. This begs the question: what is going on with Dying Light 2?

The indefinite delay was announced back in January of this year where Techland revealed that the team's vision needed more time to make it a reality. CEO Pawel Marchewka later promised that there would be more news following the delay reveal, but then the world was thrust into chaos following massive wildfires, a global pandemic, and pretty much everything else this year could throw at us. With 'work from home' orders in place, the strenuous development progress presumably felt the heat of the events surrounding COVID-19, only to later lose an important part of the narrative team several months later.

Blair Witch: From Iconic Horror Movie To Immersive VR Experience

3 years 6 months ago

Click to watch embedded media

When the Blair Witch game was first announced, fans of the iconic horror movie franchise were eager to see what the story would be like. When Layers of Fear studio Bloober Team was confirmed to be at the helm, that excitement grew. While Blair Witch as a game was met with mixed reception due to its length and its mechanics meant to confuse the player, this horror adventure carved a unique niche for itself within the genre. Now that it's in VR, those scares are amplified and the in-game choices matter more than ever.

We sat down with Daniel Engelhardt, Lionsgate Senior VP of Interactive Venture & Games, to talk about how this partnership with Bloober came to be and why the jump to VR despite the mixed reviews. Usually, when two companies come together over an IP, the process is long, complicated, and full of negotiations. Engelhardt tells us that this wasn't the case with Blair Witch. In fact, it was coffee and mutual fandom that made this a match made in heaven (or Hell, if we're talking horror).

Everspace 2 Delayed Following New Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date

3 years 6 months ago

Click to watch embedded media

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed once more and with its new December launch, other studios with planned releases during that time are scrambling to make changes as to not compete with competition of that size. Because of that new release date, Everspace 2 is no longer releasing in December, instead opting for a January 2021 launch instead.

Rockfish Games took to its Kickstarter to "get the cyber elephant out of the room right away" with the delay news. "The Cyberpunk 2077 release has just been pushed back to December 10, which is a major blow to our planned EVERSPACE 2 Early Access release in mid-December. Not only will every media outlet and content creator cover the arguably most-anticipated AAA game in history throughout the entire holiday season (and not much else), we also know that there’s quite a bit of audience overlap within our community (and our team), so..."

After a quick meeting with the studio's PR team, it was decided that a small delay would be better than competing against arguably the biggest launch of 2020. Because of that, the Early Access period for Everspace 2 will be taking place in January instead.

Meet The Villains In Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

3 years 6 months ago

Hey there, true believers! We only have a couple weeks to go before swinging into Insomniac’s latest Spider-Man game, and we heard that a few baddies are already making trouble in Miles’ neighborhood. It's up to you to stop them. But in order to defeat your enemy, you first need to know your enemy. My uncle Ben once told me that. So, with that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the Tinkerer and the energy company Roxxon, so we can see what makes those goons tick. Here is everything you need to know about the villains in Miles’ upcoming game.

Meet Roxxon:

In the comics: First introduced in the ‘70s, Roxxon Energy Corporation is primarily an oil and gas company with offices around the world. One of the largest conglomerates on Earth, the company generates billions of dollars in profits each year. However, over the decades, Roxxon has been involved in all manner of morally-questionable business practices and outright criminal activity – usually centered on the exploitation of various energy-rich resources.

Sony And Crunchyroll Deal Reportedly Closing Soon For $1 Billion

3 years 6 months ago

Sony's interest in Crunchyroll is nothing new, but it looks like the mega-company may be ready to make that final movie for the popular anime streaming service for a cool $1 billion. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced a special partnership with Funimation as an incentive to buy into the Game Pass Ultimate membership. The Sony deal with Funimation's now-competitor, due to a split between the two streaming services back in 2018, is an interesting counterpoint leading into the world of anime and gaming.

Nikkei Asia reports that Sony has been negotiating exclusive rights with Crunchyroll for a while now but is in a position where that interest may solidify into a done deal soon. For $1 billion, Sony would amass the community of over three million active subscribers to the streaming service. With the negotiations now in the "final" stages, it looks like a partnership is likely just in time for the next generation of gaming to kick off with the PlayStation 5.

With both Netflix and Hulu both investing more into anime going into the future, Microsoft and Sony's interest is a lucrative goal in the grand scheme of both ecosystems. Even further than that, the amount of anime-inspired video games continues to rise, more so on the PlayStation platforms due to Sony's outreach beyond western studios.

Genshin Impact 1.1 Update Arrives On November 11

3 years 6 months ago

On November 11, Genshin Impact gets its first substantial update. The 1.1 update features new characters, a seasonal event, the final chapter of the Liyue questline in the main story, a new reputation system, and PlayStation 5 compatibility. That's a lot! Some of the big new characters coming on the five-star front are Childe and Zhongli. Childe is a Hydro archer, Zhongli is a Geo polearm user, and they both have a lot of new tactics and skills to bring into combat. New four-star characters are also coming with Xinyan and Diona, and as we all know from running Fischl and Xiangling for the last month, four-stars can be incredible characters as mains or supports.

During the first seasonal event, Unreconciled Stars, players take on various challenges over a two-week period to earn special rewards and participate in co-op challenges. Among the rewards is a copy of Fischl, so if you don't yet have the Electro princess unlocked, this is a great chance to score a free character.

Spider-Verse Suit Coming To Spider-Man: Miles Morales

3 years 6 months ago

Click here to watch embedded media

We’ve seen a few of the costumes coming to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and they’re pretty rad. However, I think I speak for many fans when I say the one we all wanted from the beginning is his suit from 2018’s acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Thankfully, Marvel and Insomniac recognized this lay-up as well, revealing players can swing around Harlem rocking Miles' iconic film look.

Much like the comic-shaded outfit from the first game, the Spider-Verse suit is more than a simple re-skin. For one, it changes Miles’ figure to match his scrawnier model from the film. The coolest touch by far, though, is that the suit features the same, limited-frame animation style from the movie and comic-style onomatopoeia attacks. In short, it looks cool as heck.

The suit is a launch-day bonus, meaning players who pre-ordered will have it available from the beginning. Before anyone panics, Insomniac confirmed the suit can be unlocked in-game, same as the other costumes. That's great, as it ensure everyone can turn the game into their own personal Spider-Verse.

How Bots Could Ruin Games Forever

3 years 6 months ago

What’s scarier than monsters, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night? We’ve all seen bots in games by now. I don’t mean players setting up systems to run to farm crafting materials in predictable routes or to play cards in a set order; I’m talking about bots designed by developers. Now, you might be saying to yourself, “What’s wrong with bots?” Bots can fill lobbies to make sure games can launch, they can make matchmaking take a lot less time, and hey, it's always fun shooting down an automated opponent and getting a free kill in a field with dozens of human opponents running around. But there’s a lot more to these innocuous A.I. additions, and they have implications for all kinds of multiplayer experiences. With the trends we’re seeing in data acquisition, user privacy, and monetization models, bots are headed for dangerous implementation.

The Ghost In The Machine

On the surface, pairing up players with bots seems like a good thing. No one wants to wait more than a few seconds to find a match, whether it’s in an online shooter lobby or a mobile card battler. Beating up on bots might not seem like an issue, even if it’s changing your rating, ranking, or other parameters over time. Depending on the game, you may not even be aware your opponent is a bot. Maybe a bot is your sole opponent, or perhaps the game can field many bots, but the takeaway is that the developer can tweak the challenge (or lack thereof) directly by bot prescience. While adjusting the difficulty in this fashion may seem harmless, it becomes a sketchy proposition as we dive in.

Gears POP! Game Servers Are Shutting Down

3 years 6 months ago

Click to watch embedded media

Gears POP! was a surprise reveal blending the worlds of Funko POPS and Gears of War into a tactical mobile game that was announced right at the same time as Microsoft's Gears Tactics. A more playful experience with some of our favorite Gears characters, the name alone was not enough to keep this train chugging. Unfortunately, the studio behind the title, Mediatonic, has announced that servers will be shutting down permanently early next year.

The studio took to the Gears POP! blog to share the latest update. "Thank you Gears," begins the farewell. "Together we have taken on countless waves of Horde and vanquished foes on the Versus battlefield but sadly Gears Pop! is closing on April 26, 2021. Until that time, we’re bringing back some of our most popular events, increasing Bounty rewards, and upping the drop rates for Legendary Pins. Effective immediately, in-app purchasing has also been disabled. Thank you for your understanding and support."

The servers will remain active, with pins still usable, until April 26, 2021. Refunds will be automatically issued for anything purchased within 90 days of October 28, 2020. Anything bought between July 30 - October 28 is eligible, according to the site, though refunds themselves might take a few weeks to process.

Square Enix Reveals New Final Fantasy XVI Art And Story Details

3 years 6 months ago

Remember waiting years for Final Fantasy XV and desperately lapping up any new information on it? After the reveal of Final Fantasy XVI last month, some fans were bracing themselves for another long road of sparse information. But today, we're already learning more about the upcoming RPG; Square Enix launched a website providing additional background. Some new key art backs up a detailed synopsis of the world, central characters, and lore.

The website introduces us to stoic protagonist Clive Rosfield, his affectionate younger brother Joshua, and their trusted childhood friend, Jill Warrick. The brothers Rosfield share an interesting dynamic in that Clive, the brave and dedicated knight, merely guards the Phoenix’s awesome power while Joshua, a sheepish bookworm, is the human chosen to wield it. It’ll be fun to see how the relationship between them and their sister-from-another-mother Jill plays out.

Ghostrunner On Console Is The Worst Way To Play

3 years 6 months ago

Based on what I've seen of reviews and preview builds, I feel like you might have a good time playing Ghostrunner on PC. However, I've been playing the game on Xbox One. I can assure you the game I'm playing on console cannot be the same game people are loving on PC. After several hours playing the first-person platformer from One More Level, it's painfully clear this game was not made with consoles in mind, since my time has been plagued by clumsy controls and imprecise platforming.

Ghostrunner is built around speed and agility. Its opening CG cutscene shows the robot protagonist (aptly named "Ghostrunner") barreling through a neon-drenched cyberpunk city, chopping bad guys in half, and flying through the air. It's one of those scenes that plays before a lot of games, seemingly showing the character pulling off stylish feats that players will never actually perform in the game itself. But for the most part, Ghostrunner delivers on its opening cinematic's promise; from the minute you're given control, you too are jumping high in the air, dashing around foes, and cutting them into bloody bits. It looks cool. It feels terrible.

Xbox Games With Gold November 2020 Free Games Revealed

3 years 6 months ago

Sony revealed its PS Plus November lineup earlier this week, including Bugsnax being free for PS5 owners, and now it's Microsoft's turn to show off the Xbox Games With Gold November free games lineup. While there is no Bugsnax, it does include Full Spectrum Warrior, which is a treat in its own right.

Full Spectrum Warrior is a really awesome strategy game that has an interesting US military background. As a veteran myself, I was instantly drawn to this game a few years after launch. While it's not a title many would immediately go "ooh, shiny," it does offer a unique experience if you like feeling stressed out of your mind with intense gameplay.

Far Cry 6 And Rainbow Six: Quarantine Delayed

3 years 6 months ago

COVID-19 is still ongoing and many industries continue to be impacted with work from home orders and other pandemic-related roadblocks. Because of that, two more games have been delayed due to the ongoing virus with Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six: Quarantine both being pushed back.

For those excited about the next step for Far Cry, Far Cry 6 initially had a February 18, 2021 release date set. Unfortunately, that has been pushed back beyond Q1, which puts the launch window anywhere between April 2021 all the way until March 2022. Rainbow Six Quarantine has also been shifted around, slated for a similar window and Far Cry 6.

World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands Gets A November 23 Release Date

3 years 6 months ago

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was delayed, leaving players to enjoy the new leveling experience in the pre-patch wondering when the new expansion would hit. Well, today we wonder no longer. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is arriving on November 23. There are several other important dates included with this announcement. On November 10, the pre-expansion fun begins, which should be a great way to gear up all those characters you've been leveling before heading into Shadowlands.

On December 8, the first Shadowlands raid, Castle Nathria is scheduled to open up. December 8th also marks the start of mythic dungeons and PVP Season 1. Have you been gearing up your alts? Personally, I've leveled several characters up with the new experience and it's lightning fast. Plus you get to play through expansions and areas that have basically been lost to time over the years, which is cool. Are you looking forward to Shadowlands? Let us know in the comments! And watch this cool trailer below!

Anthem 2.0 Update Revealed, Possible No Man's Sky-esque Comeback If Pulled Off Correctly

3 years 6 months ago

BioWare tried something completely different for them when they took to the online world once more for Anthem. Despite some of the smoothest flight mechanics in gaming history, the short-lived story that promised progression (that didn't happen), glitches, and launch issues made the game's launch a distinct failure. Following months of silence and then a hesitant return, the studio then decided to pull back completely to regroup for Anthem 2.0. Could Anthem be the next No Man's Sky with a total 180? Possibly, the Anthem 2.0 update looks promising but that doesn't ensure success.

The studio is still balancing out ideas but it has a firm outline of the start of Anthem 2.0. The concepts expressed in the latest BioWare blog post are still just that: concepts. These conceptual directions for the online game are currently being testing concerning Javelin functionality, different builds, and revamping the skill trees.

Here are some of the ideas BioWare is cooking up:

3 years 6 months ago

Despite a global pandemic, a rotating door of directors, and a plethora of other issues regarding the Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland as a much younger Nathan Drake, the prequel film has officially wrapped up filming! To celebrate, we've got our first look at Mark Wahlberg as Sully. Well, his outfit at least.

The news of the Uncharted movie's filming being a done deal came by way of the official Uncharted Twitter account with a special little tribute to our beloved Nathan Drake:

While Holland is set to star as a more youthful Nathan Drake for the prequel, Mark Wahlberg is also playing a central role as a younger Sully. The actor previously shared a look at him in all of his mustachio'd glory and now we've got our first look at his character's costume:

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Launch Trailer Brings The Need To Protect Variks At All Costs

3 years 6 months ago

"The light and dark ready themselves for a new phase," opens the Destiny 2: Beyond Light launch trailer for the game's new expansion, ramping up those hype levels for Guardians excited to see Variks and Exo Stranger once more.

It looks like we've got to go save our boy Variks as we "are all in great danger" ... again. Exo Stranger is being a badass, Stasis looks really cool (no pun intended), and the war between the Light and Darkness is continues to wage on with more danger, new gear, and even one particular character that many Cayde-6 fans have a bone to pick with making his return ... as a good guy.

Beyond Light will introduce more than a few new faces, but it's good to see old friends returning as well. As is the Bungie way, the trailer is equally inspiring as it is depressing. It'll also be a little strange coming to Variks' rescue because that dude cannot seem to catch a break no matter what.

Bethesda's Todd Howard On Freedom And New Opportunities With Microsoft Acquisition

3 years 6 months ago

When Microsoft acquired Zenimax for a cool $7.5 billion, that move also gained the company Bethesda and all of its IPs, including the upcoming Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6. While this sparked exclusivity concerns, this move gives the company even more resources for the future, and with a new engine overhaul confirmed, director Todd Howard opened up a little more about the positives that this partnership offers.

Sitting down with GameIndustry.biz, Howard opened up about what the new generation ahead looks like for the company following the acquisition news. While the partnership isn't solidified until next year, both he and Pete Hines have spoken openly about what this means for their own creativity.
