The Next Mortal Kombat Game Is a Full Series Reboot, Coming in September

11 months 4 weeks ago

Enough time has passed that fans had already started asking Ed Boon when they could expect the next game in the Mortal Kombat franchise, and it turns out we don’t have to wait all that long after all. Titled Mortal Kombat 1, the next game in the series is a proper series reboot that reintroduces us to fan-favorite characters while also putting an interesting spin on things.

You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

From the get-go, it seems that Liu Kang will play a much more central role in the story this time around, as he’s introduced as a god ready to protect Earthrealm. We also get a glimpse of Shang Tsung, who gets promptly pummeled to death by Liu Kang, setting the tone for this new reboot. It’s entirely possible that the series could be positioning Liu Kang as the new big bad of the universe.

Aside from that, we also get glimpses of other characters including Mileena, whom fans have been clamoring for for the longest time during MK11‘s run, as well as other familiar faces like Kitana, Scorpion and Sub-Zero of course, and Kung Lao.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to be released for PC and consoles on Sept. 19.

New Lords of the Fallen Trailer Looks Super Promising; Makes Us Yearn for a Bloodborne Sequel

11 months 4 weeks ago

It’s been 9 years since the first Lords of the Fallen dropped a unique take on the Soulsborne genre. While you could still lose your accumulated XP, you could also bank it for later (something repeated in the developer’s The Surge titles). This year will finally mark the release of the sequel, first revealed in August 2022.

With the game set for an October release date, we have finally gotten a first look at gameplay. The trailer shows off a sequel that honestly looks quite a bit different than what the original offered, for the better. It’s moody and atmospheric to the point that we couldn’t help but think of another gothic Souls game.

Zelda Hyrule Engineering Club Becomes the Main Hub for the Brilliant Tears of the Kingdom Builders

11 months 4 weeks ago

The shared creations within the Tears of the Kingdom community have led to the formation of the Reddit Hyrule Engineering Club, where creative geniuses can exhibit their unique designs.

When players are satisfied with their intricate builds, they can show them off to the world on the post board, allowing others to ask questions about their process. One of the first noticeable models from the club is Froggodile’s transportation truck, a vehicle that makes it easier to transfer your building materials.

You can expect a few trial-and-error designs like SchmittFace’s wonky bipedal walker that fell apart in less than a minute. But, of course, it wouldn’t be an engineering club without the experimentation side of it, as fans test out the Zonai items found across Hyrule.

New Sonic Prime x Jakks Pacific Plush & Figures Revealed

11 months 4 weeks ago

Sonic Prime is the latest iteration of Sonic the Hedgehog’s TV presence that streams exclusively on Netflix. Combining the powerhouse that is Sonic with one of the most well-known toy makers of the current century, and you’re sure to have quite the collaboration. Earlier today it was announced that Jakks Pacific will be releasing a handful of new figures and one new plush based on Sonic Prime in the coming year.

First up are the five-inch-tall figures with over 12 points of articulation to allow for posed display. On top of that, the fine details of the figurines are accurate to the characters as they appear in Sonic Prime. That means Sonic’s shoes have little painted-on straps and the figures will even include different textures to give them a premium feel.

The characters included in this series of figures are Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Thorn Rose, and Tails Nine. Expect to see these figures in stores starting this fall for a suggested retail price of $14.99 USD each.

Also coming this fall is a multipack of 2.5-inch-tall figures featuring Sonic, Tails Nine, Rusty Rose, and the Prism Shard. It’s not explicitly stated how many points of articulation these figures will have, but the press release mentions they’re still poseable. Just don’t expect them to have 12 points of articulation like the other figures. This four-piece multipack is set to retail for $19.99 USD.

Last but not least for these Jakks Pacific figures is a little 2.5-inch Knuckles the Dread. Oh and, he comes with an entire playset of his Angel’s Voyage Ship. The ship comes equipped with three launching cannons, a trap door, and wheels so it can roll around flat surfaces. It’ll be available later this fall at a suggested retail price of $39.99 USD.

The Tears of the Kingdom photo mode is one of the most dynamic mechanics of the game, allowing players to become nature photographers with the Hyrule Compendium. The tool also showcases a more modernistic side through its selfie mode, where fans can take pictures with their favorite characters of Hyrule.

So, players can now get the best selfie results with any of the characters, from the fan-favorite Purah to everyone’s husband Prince Sidon.

A $300 Million Series That Frustrated Critics Is Winning Audiences and Number One Spots on Streaming

Prime Video’s new blockbuster series Citadel might be leaving critics feeling cold, but the show is a verified success with audiences. Amazon’s streaming platform is reported to have pumped $300 million into the series in an effort to entice new users onto the service and develop a new mega-franchise.

Despite a Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 53% from critics, the costly spy drama has hit the number one spot in 91 different countries this week, according to Flix Patrol. The show is also enjoying a much better Audience Score of 70%, with an average of 3.8 out of 5 stars from over 500 audience reviews.

Citadel is currently catching flack from critics due to some awkward dialogue and a slightly wooden performance from Richard Madden, whom folks may know as Robb Stark from Game of Thrones, but he should really be a household name due to his fantastic turn in Jed Mercurio’s Bodyguard for the BBC. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who stars opposite Madden as another deadly spy, also seems to be a bit burdened by the clunky dialogue. Both play secret agents who have had their memories erased, a somewhat tiresome trope that was already getting tired with the second Bourne movie.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Has a Pretty Simple Duplication Glitch

All the new mechanics in Tears of the Kingdom create some pretty great synergies. However, there can be some unintended side effects. In this case, that takes the form of a pretty easy duplication glitch that can be done absolutely anywhere. All you need to start is two bows and at least one of the items you want to duplicate.

This doesn’t quite lead to an exponential increase, as each time you do it, you will only be getting one more of whatever item you use. Keep in mind you can only duplicate items that can be attached to an arrow. Sadly, you cannot duplicate the Light of Blessings.

How to Do the Tears of the Kingdom Duplication Glitch

It’s a very quick process, and there are only a handful of steps to it.

While aiming your bow, attach the item you will be duplicating using up d-pad. Lower the bow so you aren’t still aiming it, but have it ready.

PlayStation Showcase Officially Locked In for Next Week

After quite a bit of speculation following the official cancellation of E3 2023, PlayStation has finally announced its own Showcase. Fans don’t have all that long to wait, either. The PlayStation Showcase will be broadcast in a week on Wednesday, May 24, at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET. While it’s not explicitly stated, it will likely be hosted on both the PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.

The announcement doesn’t share or even tease what games will make an appearance. Even with that, it is almost a given that we will see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, considering it releases this fall. As for other big upcoming exclusives, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is headed to the console this winter. We might also see more for Marvel’s Wolverine, though that’s not guaranteed.

A Pop Diva’s Surprising Turn as an Action Star Is Dominating Netflix in 79 Countries

In a surprising turn for the noted vocalist, Jennifer Lopez has scored a massive success on Netflix by playing a deadly assassin. The star, who is arguably more associated with romance than violence, has seized the top of the Netflix charts in 79 countries with her new action film, and it doesn’t seem like she’ll let go any time soon.

In The Mother, Lopez takes on the role of a deadly assassin who is dragged back into her violent past as she attempts to unravel the complicated areas where her life and deadly career intersect. Directed by Niki Caro, who helmed the recent live-action Mulan, and written by Lovecraft Country showrunner Misha Green, the film does an admirable job of taking the traditional story of a very dangerous man whose family is in trouble and turning it slightly on its head. According to FlixPatrol, audiences seem to be enjoying it, too, as the film rapidly dominated the Netflix charts and shows no signs of moving.

It’s Official: Tears of the Kingdom Is Now the Fastest-Selling Game in the Zelda Franchise

Previous instalments in The Legend of Zelda series, like Breath of the Wild, have undoubtedly set a very high bar in terms of critical reception and sales figures. While Tears of the Kingdom has certainly lived up to the former, it’s now surpassed BOTW and set a new bar in terms of sales for the entire Zelda series.

The news was confirmed by Nintendo on May 17, who revealed that Tears of the Kingdom sold more than 10 million copies in its first three days on the market. That means it becomes “the fastest-selling game in the history of The Legend of Zelda series.”

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Has Turned Me Into a Bona Fide Korok Abuser

One of the simple, yet oft overlooked, pleasures of Breath of the Wild was the tiny squeak the adorable little Koroks would let out whenever you struck them with something. It could be an arrow shot, a slash, or the good ol’ “rock falls on head” fallback. To me –clearly a very mature and well-adjusted adult human being– there was nothing cuter than the hapless yelp of the Koroks.

With the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it’s as if Nintendo has finally answered my prayers for a true sandbox game that would allow me to do whatever my sinister heart desired to these little critters. Tears of the Kingdom? More like Torture of the Koroks.

It all started early on in my TOTK adventure, when I encountered my first Korok on the Great Sky Island. “Ah, an old friend!” I thought, “How I’ve missed randomly swinging my sword at you and just watching you take the abuse.” Armed with only a measly little tree branch at the time, I swung at the Korok for a few seconds, enjoyed the dulcet tones of its screams of agony, and chuckled to myself before finally letting the poor thing go.

The abuse picked up a little later on, when I lifted a rock to find one of my bean-sized brethren lying in wait. I collected my reward, dropped the oversized rock on its head, and moved on.

And then again! When I saw a suspicious bag hanging in the crook of a tree in Central Hyrule. I discovered yet another Korok, then proceeded to fire all 30 arrows in my possession at it. Just because.

Overwatch 2’s Big PvE Mode Plans Have Been Scrapped, Will Focus On Smaller Standalone Missions Instead

Overwatch 2 has created a massive upset within the player base with the recent roadmap update and discussion regarding the game’s future. During this time, it was revealed by the devs that the highly-anticipated PVE mode wouldn’t be going ahead in the same way that they had previously announced to players before the launch of Overwatch 2.

Naturally, this caused a lot of upset among fans who have desperately been holding out for the promise of this PvE story-based game mode for years. The original vision for Overwatch 2 PvE announced back in 2019 featured mechanics such as skill trees, where you could spend points to unlock and enhance skills for each hero, and that the PvE would be a standalone story mode alternative to Overwatch.

As of today, the devs have confirmed that this is no longer the case and that they cannot deliver on this to such a scale. PvE will instead be small standalone missions or stories that are dropped with the Seasonal update in Overwatch 2’s live service content. This content is planned to include limited-time game modes, co-op missions, story-based events, and hero mastery missions.

Popular Overwatch 2 content creator, streamer, and educational Support player, KarQ took to Twitter to share his disappointment with the whole situation, despite having an understanding view of the decision-making that has occurred. Many fans quickly jumped on this post and spread numerous comments showing their frustration and disbelief toward Activision Blizzard and the Overwatch team. Take a look for yourself below:

Marvel Snap’s Card Acquisition System Is About to Get a Lot Better

The card acquisition process has been Marvel Snap‘s weakest point since the beta days. Progressing through the Collection track was arduous and oftentimes disheartening, and ever since the introduction of Series 4 and 5, things have only gotten worse.

Alongside the new patch release today, however, Second Dinner also announced that they’d be making some key changes to how card acquisition works in Marvel Snap. Most notably, they’re planning on adopting a more flexible card release format, where not all new cards have to be released as Series 5 drops. Going forward in June, the team will be experimenting with releasing some cards directly in Series 4, while also being flexible with Series drops as well, where some cards may drop directly to Series 3 from Series 5.

This should help alleviate the major concerns that fans have long had with Marvel Snap’s collection system. In addition to that, Second Dinner also stated that they’d be introducing more ways to help players accrue Tokens, making it easier for everyone to save up for the cards they want.

As for this week’s patch itself, it’s a pretty major shakeup. First off, Kitty Pryde is back and has been given out to all active accounts for free. Wave has been nerfed pretty heavily and no longer interacts well with She-Hulk and Death, dealing a huge blow to the Deathwave archetype. Here are the balance changes:

There’s a Way to Repair Your Weapons in Tears of the Kingdom, But It’s the Last Thing You’d Expect

In a game that’s receiving numerous perfect scores and even more nearly perfect ones, one point of contention is still weapon degradation. Just like in Breath of the Wild, using a weapon multiple times will slowly make it break down to the point where it shatters. There are multiple ways to improve the state of used weapons, but someone just found one of the wildest ways to get it done.

If you’ve played Breath of the Wild, then chances are that you know letting an Octorok suck in a rusted weapon will clean it up and give you an even more powerful version of the item to use in battle. This still works, but there’s a brand-new feature in Tears of the Kingdom that makes this Octorok method possibly the best method for repairing weapons.

As @TristanACooper shows in his tweet, Octoroks will now repair damaged weapons when they swallow them, spitting out a fully repaired weapon. On top of that, the weapon will also get a small stat buff that absolutely makes this one of the best mechanics in the game for prolonging weapon usage.

The Master Ball is Finally Coming to Pokemon GO

It has been rumored for a while now among the game’s community and found in datamines, but the Master Ball is finally coming to Pokemon GO. In a post released by Niantic’s Pokemon GO Team, it was revealed that the Master Ball will be released as a reward for finishing the final part of the Season 10: Rising Heroes Special Research.

This is the season-long special research that began on Mar. 1 and has been receiving updates throughout the three-month-long period of Season 10. The final part of the story will begin in less than one week on May 22, 2023 at 10 AM local time. The post indicates that on this date WIllow will return with some news on Team GO Rocket as well as “a gift” which is likely the Master Ball you’ll receive upon completing the Special Research.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Master Ball, this is the ultimate Poke Ball that no Pokemon can break out of and it never misses. It’ll be interesting to see how this item is implemented when catching in Pokemon GO.

Season 10: Rising Heroes ends on June 1, 2023, but players won’t need to have the Special Research completed by that date to receive the Master Ball. As long as a trainer logs into the game between May 22, 2023, and June 1, 2023, then they’ll be able to claim the final part of the Special Research. At that point, it can be completed at any time to get a Master Ball.

As of right now, there are no announced events or Special Research stories where trainers will be able to get additional Master Balls in the future. However, the post said to keep an eye out for announcements about future opportunities to get Master Balls.

Tears of the Kingdom Player Skydives Without a Paraglider and Lands in Epic Style

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is brimming with ways to explore its many regions and environments, often requiring players to take control of a glider as they explore their location. Because many of these locations are suspended so far above the ground, there’s always the risk of falling off the edge and plummeting to an untimely death.

However, one player has found an incredible way to bypass fall damage, surviving a monumental skydive with no paraglider. In the words of Toy Story’s Woody, it’s falling with style in the absolute extreme.

Shared to Reddit by one player, they explained that they hadn’t yet unlocked the paraglider so had to hope their ‘Minecraft physics’ would work in Tears of the Kingdom.

Dropping from the Central Hyrule Sky Archipelago, their Link was plummeting to a near certain respawn as a result. Their saving grace, though, was a horse. The player landed on the trusty steed and, despite falling from an incredible height, ‘Minecraft physics’ saw them land with little impact and carry on as if nothing had happened.

Players in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are Bridging the Gaps, Literally

All of the players currently logging countless hours into The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are uncovering more and more new secrets and tricks hidden in every corner of Hyrule’s massive map. This time around, it’s no longer about just obtaining treasures and overcoming powerful enemies, but seeing just how crazy you can get with construction. It’s literally getting to the point where soon enough, the Zelda series will be able to add ‘building simulator’ to its resume.

Players are getting especially creative with Link’s Ultrahand, building all manner of contraptions and structures from an actual skate park to a flying war machine, and are now showing off the fruits of their labor in the form of hilariously long bridges used to cross immense gaps. After all, who needs a well-constructed and perfectly safe Wing airplane to get around when you can just throw together a not-very-stable, miles-long pathway from one sky island to another?

As initially reported by IGN, the bridges in question are not just a form of architectural bragging, but they’re actually helping folks reach new locations and solve some puzzles. While some surprisingly hold up well, others tragically (and hilariously) collapse, plummeting to the surface below where they hopefully don’t hit any innocent bystanders.

Tears of the Kingdom Player Attempts to Defeat Ganondorf the Greek Way

Legend of Zelda fans have been having a field day with the Ultrahand creations, constructing creative devices fit for the long journey of Hyrule. From skateparks to epic flying builds, anything you can think of can be crafted in Tears of the Kingdom, no matter how big or small, including Twitter user RobFletch1393’s clever design of the legendary Trojan Horse.

With the wooden boards and wheels found throughout the land, the user was able to craft the sneaky device from the great Trojan War, deriving from the classic legends of Greek mythology. He also performs the same infiltration tactic as them, where the player uses the Ascend ability to go inside it.

Shortly after, RobFletch1393 used the wheels to roll down the hill to unleash a surprise attack on an enemy base, lessening the dangers of Ganondorf’s destruction. We only hope Link doesn’t have weak heels, or he may end up meeting the same bloody fate as Achilles.

The Original Crash Bandicoot Voice Actor Has Died

It has been reported that Brendan O’Brien, the voice actor responsible for bringing Crash Bandicoot to life on the PlayStation back in 1996, has died. He was 60 years old.

Earlier this morning, it was revealed that the actor had passed away on Mar. 23 of this year, with the news of his death not being made readily available until today. The cause of his death is unknown, and his family has made no official comment on the subject.

Brendan was best known for voicing Crash in the original Crash Bandicoot, but he also lent his vocal talents to several other characters in the game. These included Dr. Neo Cortex, Dr. Nitrus Brio, and Tiny Tiger, and he reprised the roles in all three games from the original trilogy. He would continue to provide voice work for the Crash series until the early 2000s, upon which he was replaced by Jess Harnell.

He was also credited with several other roles which spanned film and television. These included works such as the Spawn Animated Series and the action-horror film Grindhouse. While many of them were from the ’90s and early 2000s, others such as his role in the CW series Riverdale were more recent.

Fans of both the Crash Bandicoot series and Brendan himself have shared an outpouring of grief via Twitter and other social media outlets. Most all of them have spoken to the impact his voice acting had on their enjoyment of the games, and to their sadness at his passing.

Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

Zelda Player Builds a Medieval Torture Device in Tears of the Kingdom… For the Koroks!

The freedom bestowed on players in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom means innovative fans are rewarded for their ideas. We’ve seen players create an epic flying war machine to wreak havoc across Hyrule and, now, one Redditor has shared the medieval torture device they’ve created to get revenge on Koroks.

The Koroks are a long-standing species in the Zelda franchise, featuring in Breath of the Wild among others. They do return in Tears of the Kingdom, despite being slightly divisive among the Zelda fan base. Protectors of their relevant forests, they wear leaf masks and can be kind and friendly – but also deviant and annoying.

On the latter, Zelda players have been realizing that you can essentially wage war on the Koroks in Tears of the Kingdom if you choose. Combine that with the fusing ability and host of consumables players can acquire and it’s no surprise to see some pretty creative – and dark – ways to punish the Koroks.

One player shared their medieval torture device, skewering multiple Koroks and rotating them above an open flame in truly barbaric medieval style.

Top 10 Best Fortnite Crew Skins, Ranked

When I tell my friends that Fortnite is the best ongoing game out there – or at least my favorite – I don’t mean only in terms of fun and gameplay but also how the microtransactions work. The game is entirely free but, you know, it’s Fortnite, so if you want to play as Spider-Man or a Stormtrooper, you’ll have to spend money at least once to get the battle pass. In theory, that’s the only time you need to put real money in-game, as battle passes pay themselves off and give you more V-Bucks than what you had before, letting you buy the next one without spending a dime – which is something Overwatch 2 should learn from.

But for skin enthusiasts like me, on December 2020 Epic Games came up with the greatest deal of all: the Fortnite Crew, an $11.99 monthly subscription that grants players 1,000 V-Bucks and new cosmetics every month. Since then, 30 new outfits were added to the game, although not all of them were very appealing, we certainly got some hidden gems that will become pretty rare in the long run, as players only had one chance to purchase them – so here’s some of the best.

Tears of the Kingdom Player Creates a Flying War Machine Straight Out of Apocalypse Now

One aspect of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that players have found to be a tangible upgrade on Breath of the Wild is the freedom players are granted to build their own items and machines, fusing items found and powering them via batteries and other consumables. It’s a revolutionary system and lets the most innovative players thrive, producing creations the rest of us can only dream of.

That’s certainly the case with one player, who shared a levitating war machine that’s straight out of Apocalypse Now or a similarly epic war movie. They even captioned their post: “I love the smell of Zonaite in the morning”, a tweak on Apocalypse Now’s famous “I love the smell of Napalm in the morning” line.

Beginning with a long-distance wide shot, the player’s machine powers up and possesses rotating blades most similar to a futuristic helicopter. As it flies across Tears of the Kingdom’s beautiful landscape, it wreaks havoc on the environment and enemies, blowing them to smithereens.

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie Preview – A Strategic Approach to the Choice-Based Genre

Decision-making titles have continuously expanded in recent years, diving into different territories with RPG elements and QTE intervals. The same change can be seen with Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, as it brings the concept of logic into the classic pathway system of choice-based games.

Instead of unlocking various scenarios blindly, you’ll get a glimpse of the paths beforehand with the valuable gift of foresight. Considering my experience with these games, it’s refreshing to see something new added to the beloved genre, where players can plan out their actions and possibly get the ending they most desire.

At the story’s beginning, we are introduced to the main protagonist, Polly, who revisits her hometown of Atina after many years. She seeks to unravel the secrets behind her mother’s recent disappearance, despite their complicated relationship. But, just as Polly starts her case, she transports into an alternate dimension, Reverie.

Once you dive into Reverie, things really start to kick off as you discover the potent clairvoyant powers within you and the godlike beings known as “Aspirations.” Polly is no longer her former human self and transforms into “Harmony,” a goddess who can shape the destiny of two universes.

Modern Warfare 3 Leaks Are Promising – But Call of Duty Has Been Here Before

The Call of Duty rumor mill is always spinning, even at the most unsuspecting times of the year. We’ve become accustomed to fall releases being preceded by spring and summer leaks, often throwing a host of details the way of CoD fans turning their attention towards the series’ next instalment. 2023 has been no different, promising Modern Warfare 3 and removing any lingering possibility that Modern Warfare II will receive a two year life-cycle.

Since Activision’s insistence that a “full” and “premium” Call of Duty title would drop in late 2023, we’ve come to expect a Sledgehammer Games-developed sequel to Modern Warfare II. It’s maybe an acknowledgement of the lacklustre reception SHG’s last two titles – WWII and Vanguard – have received, but it’s also a promising sign that Call of Duty wants to build on content and IPs they know players enjoy.

More leaks, finding their way into the public domain on May 11, have fostered even more community excitement. They certainly sound encouraging but, given Call of Duty’s turbulent last few years, it’s perhaps better to be cautious and avoid a disappointment that would only be heightened by the fact we – and CoD – have been here before.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Leaks and Rumors

The major rumor that emerged on 11 May was that Call of Duty 2023 will be titled ‘Modern Warfare III’, all but confirming it’ll be a direct sequel to MWII (2022) and continuing the rebooted IP. This broke via Insider Gaming who, it should be said, have a pretty solid record with leaking CoD information ahead of time.

I’m completely new to the Zelda franchise, but I’ve been meaning to play one of the games for a long time. I had always wanted to play Breath of the Wild after watching many of my friends and family enjoy it, but unfortunately, I never managed to get around to it, and that game became one of many on a much too large ‘must play’ list, buried under the rubble of my favorite franchises.

And then Tears of the Kingdom was announced, and I decided it was finally time. I was going to jump into my first Zelda game and enjoy all the franchise had to offer. As far as I knew, it would be Breath of the Wild but with improvements, right? I’d have absolutely nothing to lose.

I dived right in the moment I got my hands on the game. I lost my phone in the process, too, but that didn’t matter. I didn’t need to know what time it was anymore — Tears of the Kingdom was my only objective, and nothing would get in my way. Not this time.

I booted up the game and was thrown into the intro sequence. I had always enjoyed Breath of the Wild’s art style from what I had seen online, but playing it yourself is an entirely different experience, so the moment I took control of Link in Tears of the Kingdom, the graphics immediately caught my attention and got a big checkmark of approval.

Destructoid — 10/10

“The real kicker that helps separate Tears from Breath of the Wild is its power set. I felt like I was in control at all times, and had the ability to create my own path. For a series known for sequence-breaking, that’s not just a perk; it’s a strong argument for why Tears of the Kingdom will be talked about for years on end.” — Chris Carter [Full review]

IGN — 10/10
