PS5 DualSense Wireless Controllers are £5 less on Currys/PC World

3 years 5 months ago

For the few of you who managed to find PS5 console stock and buy one successfully, there's good news. The special PS5 DualSense controller is now reduced in price by £5 if you buy one with a special code. Not a huge discount, but if you were planning on getting a spare controller for some split-screen gaming, this could be a decent moment to do so. Cutting edge tech like this isn't likely to be cheaper for a long time.

The new DualSense controller has been a big selling point for Sony - the adaptive triggers and nuanced haptic feedback are designed to be as immersive as possible. There's also a built-in microphone, touch pad, and a fairly decent battery life to boot, considering all the hardware that's crammed into it. You can check out the full details of what you need to know here.

Normally these controllers are sold from Currys/PC World for £60, but you can reduce the cost to £55 by entering the code GAMINGFNDD at checkout.

Can Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One be saved? It's the Eurogamer next-gen news cast!

3 years 5 months ago

As we inch closer to booting 2020 out the door, next-gen video game news continues its never-ending outpour. This was a week dominated by Cyberpunk 2077 and what is sure to go down as one of the most disastrous triple-A launches ever.

Not long after it emerged the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of CD Projekt's sci-fi epic were in a terrible state did reports come in that some had found success nabbing a refund. CD Projekt was then forced to apologise for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One before launch and, in the same breath, suggested anyone who wanted a refund would be able to get one without bother. It turns out Sony, Microsoft and the shops didn't get the memo.

Its reputation in tatters and its share price tanking, CD Projekt held an emergency investor relations call in which the bosses of the company vowed to "rebuild trust". Updates, patches and fixes are inbound, CD Projekt said. Just give the studio time to make things right.

Dicebreaker Recommends: Monikers, a hilarious party game that's perfect for holidays at home

3 years 5 months ago

Dicebreaker Recommends is a series of monthly board game, RPG and other tabletop recommendations from our friends at our sibling site, Dicebreaker.

This time of year is usually synonymous with board games, as everyone gathers round to make noise and get silly with some classic party favourites. However, there's no denying that the festive season is going to be a little different this year. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, many people won't be seeing their friends and family in the flesh in the coming weeks. Obviously, this is going to make playing board games rather difficult. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean people can't find other ways to make merry with a hilarity-inducing bit of social gaming this December.

Thanks to the availability of video streaming software like Zoom and Google Meet, players have been finding ways of connecting with their loved ones for some tabletop fun all year. Whilst some games are more easily adapted to be played over webcam than others - I certainly wouldn't recommend trying Jenga - party games are one of the better choices when it comes to playing online. The simplicity of their rules and the focus on social interaction makes many a perfect fit for video calls, but none more so than Monikers.

Diablo Immortal enters alpha testing - and it seems great

3 years 5 months ago

Two years after its unveiling at BlizzCon 2018 met a hostile reaction from fans, Diablo Immortal - the Diablo game that commits the terrible sins of not being Diablo 4, and being a mobile game - has broken a long, cowed silence. After that reception, Blizzard was unlikely to do anything with the game until it had something substantial to show, and so it has proved. At a Zoom briefing with the developers earlier this week, press were told that the game was entering a "very limited" public technical alpha test that has just gone live as you read this. We were also given early access to the alpha, so I've had a chance to try it out, albeit briefly.

Unlike the BlizzCon 2018 demo, this is a substantial chunk of game, with a level cap of 45, four character classes to try, many of the game's features (excluding the in-game shop, but more on that later), a massively multiplayer city hub and multiple adventure zones and dungeons to explore. While there is doubtless a lot of debugging, optimisation and balancing still to do, for an alpha, it is extraordinarily polished. It plays well and it looks, sounds and feels incredibly close to the Diablo 3 experience on PC or (especially) console. Sound and visual effects are instantly familiar, as are many of the class skills, many of the enemy designs, and the gothic stylings and snappy response of the UI.

ORIGINAL STORY: Call of Duty: Warzone now has Black Ops Cold War integration, a new season, a fresh battle pass - and a game-breaking exploit.

Back 4 Blood is everything I'd want from a new Left 4 Dead

3 years 5 months ago

There are few finer pleasures than getting to see someone who's really bloody good at something doing what they're really bloody good at, which probably explains the massive smile on my face after ploughing through the first act of Turtle Rock's co-op shooter Back 4 Blood. This, quite simply, is the team behind Left 4 Dead back doing what it does best, and doing it that little bit better too. It's a return to the same concept - you and three friends against seemingly endless hordes of undead - with that same exquisite balance, and that same chunky gunplay. From the blunt borrowings of the title and beyond, it's clear that Back 4 Blood isn't shy of inviting comparisons.

"Yeah, well, I think it's fair to say for sure," says Back 4 Blood's creative director and Turtle Rock co-founder Phil Robb. "I mean, anyone who is a fan of the Left 4 Dead series will feel comfortable playing this game - but we've got a lot more stuff we've packed into it as well. There are similarities, but it's its own thing."

That's the thing that's most striking about Back 4 Blood - at first, at least, before you begin to grasp some of its own quirks and twists. There's the familiarity of it all, the heft of its assault rifle in the hands as it chugs through swarms of undead as reassuring in its own way as putting on a pair of favourite slippers, but in Back 4 Blood everything's been dialled up a notch or two.

A month after launch, Assassin's Creed Valhalla starts selling XP boosts

3 years 5 months ago

Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched in November with a shop selling cosmetic extras for real money, but to the surprise of many, the XP boost packs sold in Assassin's Creed Odyssey were conspicuously absent. Not to worry, everyone: the controversial microtransactions have now arrived.

A recent update from Ubisoft has introduced the XP boosts to Valhalla's Helix store. The boost grants a 50 per cent increase to XP progression and can be used across all save files. It'll cost you, though: the boost can be bought for 1000 Helix credits, equivalent to £8.58. A similar pack can be bought to earn 50 per cent more silver, while a pack combining both the silver and XP boosts will cost you 1500 Helix credits (or £12.88 if you buy the 500 and 1050 packs).

The XP boost was controversial in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, not only because players felt microtransactions didn't belong in a full-price single-player title, but due to Odyssey's slow levelling process and level gates. This led some fans to claim the grind was there to deliberately encourage players to buy boost packs.

Frontier details on-foot combat in latest Elite Dangerous Odyssey expansion trailer

3 years 5 months ago

Elite Dangerous' highly anticipated Odyssey expansion isn't too far away now, and developer Frontier is continuing its pre-launch promotional blitz with a new developer video, this time showcasing the kind of combat Commanders will be able to experience when they finally receive their space-legs early next year.

Come the arrival of Odyssey, players will, for the first time, be able to leave the confines of their space vessels and stroll about Elite Dangerous' vast galaxy on-foot, exploring everything from shiny space stations to dusty desert outposts in first-person.

This, as Frontier explains in its latest video, necessitates a bit of a mentality shift when it comes to combat, with players needing to develop a whole new set of skills as they make the jump from "bold, daring star pilot to vulnerable on-foot troop".

Double XP tokens, obtained in multiple ways but also earned through premium battle passes, are one of the best ways of levelling up weapons quicker than normal. They last for a set amount of time, and are triggered at the player's command.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising are on sale right now

3 years 5 months ago

Just in time for Christmas, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising are on sale from a couple of online retailers. With one game focusing on Norse mythology and the other on Greek mythology, you have the opportunity to spend the whole winter hanging out with ancient gods of all flavours.

You can check out our reviews of Valhalla and Fenyx Rising, but each one offers similar experiences: open world games in which you explore a world with climbing and melee combat. But while Valhalla is (marginally) more grounded, Fenyx Rising leans towards being more colourful and over the top.

We've checked around to see where each version is going cheapest, and we'll update this page if more details come out! One thing you'll notice is that Valhalla has a slightly bigger discount at Game, but you'll need to pay an eye-watering £5 for delivery!

80 Days dev's archaeological adventure Heaven's Vault coming to Switch in January

3 years 5 months ago

Heaven's Vault - the sublime sci-fi-tinged archaeological adventure from 80 Days, Sorcery, and Pendragon developer Inkle - will be making its way to Nintendo Switch on 28th January.

Released on PC and PlayStation 4 to much acclaim last year, Heaven's Vault tells the story of Aliya Elasra and her robot companion Six, as they explore the mysterious Nebula in search of a missing person and an ancient civilisation.

As with Inkle's previous story-heavy offerings, the real star of the show is the wonderful prose, subtly reshaping based on choices made throughout the adventure. Here though, there's the added draw of archaeological discovery as players explore the strikingly designed world, with Heaven's Vault placing a fascinating focus on learning a long-forgotten language - one character at a time - to make sense of the places and relics Aliya encounters on her travels.

Xbox Series S is available to buy at these stores right now

3 years 5 months ago

The Xbox Series S is back in stock at John Lewis in the UK - and this time the console seems to be available for more than two minutes.

Usually, I'd keep these stock updates to the Jelly Deals Twitter, but the Series S has (surprisingly) been available to buy for most of the afternoon. If you've been trying to get one for the last few months, here's your best chance before Christmas.

Since launch, we've seen that the Series S has been much easier to get hold of compared to the Series X. According to Microsoft, the release of both consoles has been the biggest Xbox launch ever, so it's not as if people don't want it. Perhaps, as the least expensive of the next-gen machines, it makes sense for Microsoft to prioritise getting it out there for the Christmas sales period.

Vin Diesel is not only starring in Ark 2, he's helping produce it

3 years 5 months ago

Like many of you, I'm sure, last Thursday night I was a little bewildered to see Vin Diesel pop up mid-Game Awards and start smashing his way through a dinosaur-filled jungle. Eventually, the trailer was revealed to be Ark 2, with Vin Diesel starring as character Santiago in the sequel to the original multiplayer game. But his involvement doesn't end there, as it turns out Vin Diesel is a serious Ark fan: and he's even helping produce the game.

A press release from Studio Wildcard explains Vin Diesel has joined the team as an executive producer, not only for Ark 2, but for the animated series also shown at the Game Awards. He's earned himself the title "president of creative convergence" - whatever that may be - but there's a reason why Vin Diesel is so heavily involved with Ark, as he's a huge fan of Ark: Survival Evolved. In fact, he's apparently put "thousands of hours" into Ark, according to Studio Wildcard CEO Doug Kennedy. "He understands the game intimately and is providing direct feedback to the development process. With [Thursday] night's reveal of the Ark sequel and animated TV series, Vin will be involved with each as we look to expand the Ark franchise even further, now and into the future."

Well, with that many hours sunk into the game, I think that qualifies Vin Diesel to get fully involved with Ark. Also, it's Vin Diesel.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is going cheaper for the holidays

3 years 5 months ago

Though it's not a big sale, demand is certainly high enough that we thought it worth mentioning: Super Mario 3D All-Stars is currently going at a reduced price from select retailers in the UK. Certainly worth paying attention to, as a) a lot of people will be buying over Christmas, and b) physical copies of 3D All-Stars won't be around forever.

Yes, it's true: Nintendo are only planning to make physical copies until the end of March, and the game has been in high demand partly for that reason (though Nintendo has also said that digital downloads of the game will be around indefinitely). 3D All-Stars is a collation and remastering of three classic Mario games - Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Everybody has their favorites, but you're sure to find at least one here that you love.

There's a lot more deals laid out for you here at Eurogamer! Check out the full list of the best Nintendo Switch deals, or find out where Star Wars games are going cheap! Or you can always see what we've mentioned at the Jelly Deals Twitter, where there's all manner of offers waiting for you!

FIFA 21 players are using their own Golden Goal rule to beat the Ultimate Team grind

3 years 5 months ago

The FIFA 21 Ultimate Team grind is real - if you don't splash the cash on loot boxes, that is. So, to speed things up a bit, players have come together to create their own, unspoken Golden Goal rule.

This unofficial rule was sparked by the release of the first batch of Icon Swaps rewards. These tokens are eventually "swapped" for powerful Icon cards, for the likes of a 90-rated Thierry Henry, a 90-rated Frank Rijkaard and a 91-rated Prime Ronald Koeman.

To get these tokens you need to complete objectives, and the first eight of these are live now. Five are completed in the Live FUT Friendlies playlist, and three in Squad Battles (Ultimate Team vs the AI).

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered: substantial enhancements vs PS4 Pro - plus ray tracing at 60fps

3 years 5 months ago

While Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a key launch title for PlayStation 5, the next-gen remaster of the webslinger's first outing is well worth checking out. This isn't just the PS4 Pro version operating at a higher resolution: there's a bunch of visual improvements from new assets, refined lighting and of course, the addition of hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Indeed, a recent patch has added support for RT at 60 frames per second - an enhancement present on both of the Spider-Man titles available for PS5. Developer Insomniac has also solved the issue of transferring save data across from the original PS4 game, making this is an excellent way to continue the story if you never finished the game.

Despite the last-gen foundations, the boosts delivered by PlayStation 5 are impressive. The original PS4 Pro version targets 30 frames per second with dynamic resolution scaling averaging around 1584p most of the time - temporal injection is then used to deliver a clean image when played on a 4K display. On PS5, there are three different visual presentations offer: the quality mode bumps this up to a full native 4K output most of the time though dynamic resolution scaling is in effect and it can drop to near 1512p levels in the worst case. In performance mode, the game targets a near 4K resolution but with more aggressive DRS that results in drops to 1440p. Quality holds up though, thanks in no small part to the same temporal injection technology that worked so well on the last-gen systems.

UK politicians suggest legislation to stop PS5 and Xbox Series X/S scalping

3 years 5 months ago

Since the release of both the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, stories of scalpers and scalping groups have dominated the headlines - with seemingly no consequences for those doing the scalping other than a tasty pile of profit. But now a group of politicians hopes to take action, as several MPs have put forward a motion in UK Parliament to prohibit the resale of consoles and PC parts that are significantly overpriced.

As spotted by VGC, the motion tabled by six Scottish National Party (SNP) MPs calls for the government to introduce legislation to prohibit the resale of gaming consoles and PC components at prices "greatly above Manufacturer's Recommended Retail Price" (MRRP). The MPs suggest this could be similar in nature to existing legislation for the secondary selling of tickets, which requires sellers to be transparent and avoid misleading customers. The motion also singles out the resale of goods purchased by bots as something that could be made an illegal activity.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War meta shake-up sees M16 and AUG nerfed

3 years 5 months ago

Treyarch has, as promised, shaken up the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War meta with its weapon balance update.

The developer issued the update for its shooter yesterday, 15th December, but only now has published the patch notes, revealing the extent of the changes.

The headline change is a significant nerf to the M16 and AUG tactical rifles, both of which were seen as the two dominant weapons in the game. The M16 has seen its maximum effective range and fire rate reduced. The AUG has seen its headshot multiplier, maximum effective range and fire rate all reduced, while the damage for the 19.8" Task Force barrel attachment has also been reduced.

Cyberpunk 2077: how bad is last-gen performance - and what will it take to fix it?

3 years 5 months ago

It's an extraordinary state of affairs. CD Projekt Red has publicly admitted that the last-gen console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 have profound issues, that the scale of the technical issues facing the old machines was under-estimated, and that the game was released anyway. In both a public statement and an emergency investor call, the firm talks about improving the last-gen experience and sorting out crashes, glitches and bugs. A hotfix patch is already out, with another due within seven days, while more substantial patches are due in January and February.

"After three delays, we as the management board were too focused on releasing the game," said CDPR joint-CEO Adam Kiciński. "We underestimated the scale and complexity of the issues, we ignored the signals about the need for additional time to refine the game on the base last-gen consoles. It was the wrong approach and against our business philosophy. On top of that, during the campaign, we showed the game mostly on PCs."

CDPR says its hope is that its efforts will "let us rebuild the trust we have lost", but the process by which we ended up in this situation is astonishing, representing a failure in the entire process of validating that a console game is ready for launch. Typically, a game is finished and it is submitted to the third party departments of the platform holders, who test it against a range of stringent criteria, sending the game back if it's not up to scratch.

Someone should make a game about: sports photography

3 years 5 months ago

Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston after the phantom punch is one of the most iconic images not only in the history of sport, but in the entire history of photography. It was taken by a man named Neil Leifer, who purchased his first camera with the money he made shining shoes on the streets of New York City. He only got his break in sports photography when he was working at the Giants' stadium as a wheelchair attendant, where he snuck onto the field in the 1958 NFL final posing as an official photographer, and ended up snapping the game-winning touchdown of what came to be known as "The Greatest Game Ever Played". He then became responsible for not just the Ali/Liston photograph, but also the Ali/Williams photograph, taken from the rafters, with Williams flat on the canvas. In many ways, he is the Muhammad Ali of sports photography.

When we consider the stories behind sports' most fascinating photographs, we always tend to think of the story in front of the lens rather than behind it. That's why someone should make a game about sports photography.

I play the big sports games every year. This year, I ended up reviewing NBA 2K21, Madden 21, and FIFA 21, and in preparing screenshots for each review, I became my own Neil Leifer. Sports games actually look quite ugly in general play, the screen constantly marred by stamina meters, clocks, run markers, sponsorships, and a lot of other UI that gets in the way of the crisp, clean, boot-on-ball appeal of sports photography, so I mostly use the photo mode.

Airborne Kingdom review - sunny skybound city-building that needs a touch more gravity

3 years 5 months ago

The Airborne Kingdom roams the skies, a vast, rattling amoeba of propellers and minarets, hissing forges and thundering gears. It has to keep moving because it has to keep eating. As it coasts between clouds, painted planes slide from curving hangar bays, falling like windblown embers toward patches of coal and timber. The landscape is swiftly exhausted, though many of the key resources regrow almost as fast. Lakes are drained in hours, hillsides sucked clean of ore, forests hacked to stubble before they've even cleared the Kingdom's shadow.

Occasionally, during its grazing, the Kingdom uncovers a town, a tiny toe-nail clipping of huts and cooking fires, poking from the dusty mosaic tiles and cracked flagstones of the map. It sends emissaries to gather up the people of the earth and transform them into creatures of the air. Some surface-dwellers are easily won over by tales over high adventure. Others are resistant, put off by hints of dissatisfaction in the streets above. No matter. The Kingdom will be back for them, once its existing residents are happier.

Here's everything announced during Nintendo's latest Indie World showcase

Nintendo has wrapped up another of its Indie World showcases, firing out news of a fresh batch of titles - including a number of very welcome surprises - heading to Switch in the coming months. Fisti-Fluffs is a feline-focussed action-brawler that sees cats - some wearing silly hats, others brandishing household objects as offensive weapons - duking it out to be crowned the world's best fighter, and it'll be "first on Switch" early next year.

EA Play on Game Pass for PC delayed into 2021

3 years 5 months ago

Microsoft has announced EA Play will no longer be joining Game Pass for PC this month, as was originally planned, with the two services now expected to join hands some time in 2021.

In a short statement released through its Xbox Wire news service, Microsoft wrote, "When we originally set out to write this blog post, which would announce the availability of EA Play on PC with Xbox Game Pass, it looked a little bit different. Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one asking for a little more patience."

Despite initially announcing EA Play - which includes access to EA's library of games and early trials for new releases - would be made available to Game Pass for PC and Ultimate subscribers in December, Microsoft says it has now "made the decision to delay [launch] until 2021."

Spelunky 1 & 2 are heading to Switch next summer

3 years 5 months ago

Developer Derek Yu's much-loved subterranean platform rogue-like Spelunky - and its critically acclaimed sequel - are finally heading to Switch, with a launch window of "summer" 2021.

There's been a rising clamour for both games on Switch for quite some time, of course; partly because the brisk replay loop inherent in rogue-likes is particularly well-suited to portable play, but mostly, simply, because Spelunky 1 and 2 are just utterly masterful games.

Eurogamer called Spelunky "a creation of rare crystal clarity that sparkles from every angle" when it reviewed the acclaimed 2012 remake on PC, giving its refined procedural platforming a mighty 10/10 (and, later, an Essential badge when they came in).

CD Projekt vows to "rebuild trust" after Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One and PS4 launch woes

3 years 5 months ago

Following on from a statement addressing the messy state of Cyberpunk 2077 on base Xbox One and PlayStation 4, CD Projekt yesterday held a board meeting to discuss the game's launch issues, revealing a little more about the development process immediately before the game's release. And, perhaps surprising no-one, it seems those last-gen versions came in pretty hot.

The call began with a statement from CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński, in which he reaffirmed the company's commitment to fixing Cyberpunk on last-gen consoles with a patch in the next seven days, with further big updates in January and February. "We'll do everything possible to prove that we stick to our values," Kiciński said. "We truly hope that our efforts will let us rebuild the trust we have lost."

The opening statement also addressed why the game had released in such a mess on last-gen consoles.

The Cyberpunk 2077 refund situation is a mess of mixed messages

3 years 5 months ago

The Cyberpunk 2077 refund situation is a mess today after developer CD Projekt's high-profile statement that suggested customers could get their money back.

Yesterday, in its statement apologising for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before launch, CD Projekt told customers who were not pleased with Cyberpunk 2077 on console and didn't want to wait for updates: "you can opt to refund your copy." But it turns out some shops aren't playing ball - and have not changed their refund policies for the controversial blockbuster.

CD Projekt pointed customers to Sony and Microsoft for refunds on digital copies of the game. But how does it actually work? Sony says if you have started to download or stream purchased content, you will not be eligible for a refund unless the content is faulty.

These Star Wars games are 60% off for Xbox and PC players

3 years 5 months ago

The EA Star Wars Triple Bundle is here, and it's down from £90 to just £36 if you're buying on the Microsoft Store. It comes with Star Wars: Squadrons, Jedi: Fallen Order and Battlefront 2, as well as special upgrades for the latter two.

The three games offer distinctly different takes on the Star Wars experience. Squadrons is all about space fighter combat, Fallen Order is about being a lone jedi roaming the galaxy, and Battlefront 2 is about being one soldier among many in vast battles. An ode to the 'randomize' button

3 years 5 months ago

Google's I'm Feeling Lucky button has nothing to do with luck. It actually shows you the first search result, something it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out. I always thought that if I hit IFL on, say, 'dogs', I'd get a dog related webpage plucked randomly from the entire internet. Pretty stupid. But it's a compelling idea, right?

Random is something of a dirty word nowadays. For people who came of age in the late noughties it sparks 'Nam flashbacks of pale teens, their hair stiff with neon dye, blurting out nouns like waffle and narwal to demonstrate their irreverent wit. Put those children aside for a moment. Consider instead the crowning jewel of a character creation screen: the randomize button.

I love the word 'randomize'. It sounds like something Jean-Luc Picard would bark in a moment of stress. So high-tec, so powerful. Slam down the randomizer to see something never before witnessed by human eyes. It's an inherently fun concept, and so video-gamey, too. Oli Welsh waxed lyrical on the power of randomization in his Champions Online preview, calling the game an 'inexhaustible factory for charismatic super-beings'. Satisfying as it may be to tweak your character's eyebrow density just-so, there's an equal thrill in being thrown a random jumble of parts and powers and told, in the style of Project Runway, 'Make it work!'

Resident Evil 8 spoiler warning after fresh leak

3 years 5 months ago

Resident Evil 8 appears to have suffered a damaging leak after screenshots and story details hit the internet over the weekend.

The information, which Eurogamer will not detail or publish, appears to have stemmed from a development build of the game no doubt obtained as part of the recent ransomware attack that has devastated Capcom. Capcom has so far refused to meet the ransomware attackers' demands.

Screenshots, marketing plans and story details for Resident Evil 8 are now out in the wild, which will make it increasingly difficult for fans to avoid spoilers in the run up to the game's launch.

CD Projekt apologises for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One before launch

3 years 5 months ago

Cyberpunk 2077 released last Thursday with a bumpy launch: after a critic discovered some scenes could trigger epileptic seizures, we finally got our first look at the console version running on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 - and the results were, well, not great.

In response to criticism of the game's performance on last-gen consoles, CD Projekt Red has now issued a statement apologising for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 running on Xbox One and PS4 - and has announced that players can ask for a refund of the game if they're unhappy.

"We would like to start by apologising to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase," the statement said. "We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One."
