It appears that CD Projekt Red plans on releasing a Game of the Year edition for its most recent game, Cyberpunk 2077.

In an investor meeting reported on by Insider Gaming, CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski stated that the studio intends to release a Game of the Year edition after the launch of the game's upcoming DLC Phantom Liberty.

The report states that Kicinski said the following about the upcoming rerelease of Cyberpunk 2077 next year:

"It's the natural order of things--it was the same with The Witcher, which after both expansions was finally released as a Game of the Year Edition and has been on the market that way ever since. The same can be expected in this case."

It was previously reported that Phantom Liberty would be the only DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. Following its release, CD Projekt Red will reportedly begin working on Project Orion (the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel's code name) in 2023.

Gran Turismo 7 will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of the franchise by rewarding players with special in-game items, bonus rewards, and more.

From now until December 5, players can increase their rewards for each race in Sports mode. This mode features a race similar to the one in the World Finals, but will allow players to earn up to five times the amount of credits upon completion. Players will also be able to earn additional credit through Online Time Trails, which task racers with completing tracks of the World Finals races in a limited amount of time.

Those who tune into any Gran Turismo 7 live streams will be rewarded the Viewers Gift, and if they watch the World Finals and answer the Day 4 question, they'll receive the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo. The last day to earn these rewards is December 4 at 7:59 AM PST / 3:59 PM GMT.

Lastly, the special GT World Series World Finals liveries will be available until January 3 via the Recommended section in the Showcase pavilion.

After making a pair of surprise appearances earlier in the year, Tekken 8 has been confirmed for an appearance at The Game Awards next week.

The official Tekken Twitter account posted simply "GET READY" along with a brief teaser video telling viewers to "save the D8" for the awards show. No other information was confirmed, and no other hints have been posted since the video went live.

Tekken 8 was first teased at Evo 2022 in August, where a seconds-long teaser showed Tekken mainstay Kazuya Mishima's face--complete with glowing eye--and the franchise's iconic phrase "get ready for the next battle."

Two months later, during the PlayStation State of Play in September, Tekken 8 was officially unveiled for the first time. The gameplay showed Kazuya and his son Jin Kazama battling during a heavy storm, with the video showcasing updated graphics and effects. No other info about the game has been revealed since the State of Play.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon wants everyone to press pause on expecting an imminent announcement of a new entry in his fighting game franchises. Specifically, he says don't expect to see a new game from NetherRealm Studios to appear at The Game Awards next week.

Boon possibly wanted to get out ahead of any predictions for Mortal Kombat 12 since his studio unveiled the 11th installment at The Game Awards in 2018. History won't repeat itself this time, the chief creative officer of NetherRealm made clear on Twitter.

This reinforces what Boon said back in October. He explained that NetherRealm was focusing on celebrating Mortal Kombat's 30th anniversary before any new game announcement. That would come in due time.

In addition to games like Starfield, The Elder Scrolls 6, and Fallout 5, Bethesda continues to push into the mobile games space. Bethesda's Todd Howard has now teased the company's next mobile game, which hasn't been announced yet.

"We have a new mobile game that we're working on that we haven't announced yet that I'm in love with," Howard said on the Lex Fridman podcast recently, as transcribed by VGC.

So far, some of Bethesda's mobile releases have included Fallout Shelter, The Elder Scrolls Legends, and The Elder Scrolls: Blades.

Howard didn't have anything else to say about the new mobile game, but he observed that Fallout Shelter players enjoyed playing the game "for hours a day."

"You know, if you look at kids these days, they can stare at their phone for hours, that's all they do; that's where they watch everything, so it's also like a demographic thing," he said. "The younger audience, they would rather sit and stare at their phone than play it on a big screen."

Trials weapons now carry the Alacrity Origin Trait. It gives you increased aim assist, reload speed, stability, and range on your Trials guns when you're the last living member of a fireteam or running solo. You can also choose to swap to the Crucible Origin trait, One Quiet Moment, which greatly enhances your gun's reload speed when you reload while out of combat.

As always, Trials becomes available from Friday's daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET until the weekly reset at the same time the following Tuesday. During that time, you can also pay a visit to Xur to see what Exotics he's selling. Make sure to pay a visit to Saint-14 in the Tower to pick up a Trials card, which will dictate certain bonuses (such as whether you get bonus rewards at certain milestones or if a loss will be forgiven).

The U.S. Army planned to use Call of Duty streamers on Twitch as a means of gaining more Gen-Z recruits, according to military spending documents recently acquired by Vice. The Army has reportedly spent millions on the project--or planned to, anyway--with the hopes of winning over young adults and minorities who, historically, have plenty of interest in playing war games, but considerably less interest in enlisting in real life.

Vice acquired the documents via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, and according to their report, the U.S. Army had millions earmarked for the project's 2021-2022 goals. Over the course of those years, the Army aimed to use esports tournaments and high-profile streamers as advertisement platforms, with the ultimate goal of reaching an audience that has evidently proven elusive in terms of recruitment.

The documents openly state the desire for the ad campaign to target Gen-Z in particular, noting the preferred age range (18 to 24) in addition to other subgroups the Army hoped to reach via advertisement. "Focus on the growth of females, Blacks, and Hispanics," reads one section of the document.

Much of the document focuses on proposed spending for events like Twitch's HBCU (Historically Black colleges and universities) Showdown, along with many others. One page in particular displays a tiered list of advertising prospects. "Twitch x HBCU Showdown" tops the chart, with a proposed budget of $1 million. Further down the list is Call of Duty League, with a note that such a move was pending a discussion with Activision Blizzard.

Primitive is a new Stone Age survival shooter just announced for PC, and it aims to take full advantage of Unreal Engine 5 to deliver a photorealistic representation of what the world was like tens of thousands of years ago.

Developer Games Box is the studio behind Primitive, and though it doesn't have a release date (or even a release window), the game is currently able to be wishlisted on Steam. The game's description states that players will need to climb the hierarchy of a group of hunters, learn to communicate, and craft various items that will aid in survival such as new weapons, shelter, methods of cooking, and clothing. Players will battle not only against rival Neanderthals and early Homo sapiens but massive wooly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers.

In a quote to IGN, Games Box CEO Tomasz Supel said the project is still early in development, but that other games like Ubisoft's Far Cry Primal will give players a good idea of what to expect.

Pokemon Go's next major event, Astral Eclipse, starts this week on November 23, bringing with it Cosmog's final branching evolution into either Solgaleo or Lunala. The event will see cosmic Pokemon spawning more often in the wild, as well as Ultra Beasts appearing in raids and research tasks, with the Ultra Beast Arrival event on November 27.

The Astral Eclipse event starts at 10 AM in trainers local time on November 23, and ends on November 28 at 8 PM, making it the last major event of the Season of Light. Once the event ends, trainers who have amassed 100 Cosmog candy will be able to evolve their Cosmoem into either Sunne Pokemon Solgaleo or Moone Pokemon Lunala.

For the duration of the event, themed Pokemon will be appearing more often in the wild, including:

• Alolan Sandshrew
• Clefairy
• Alolan Vulpix
• Staryu
• Hoothoot
• Sunkern
• Lunatone
• Solrock
• Munna
• Cottonee
• Petilil
• Yungoos

Staryu can also be encountered when Field Research tasks are completed.

Drifloon, Frillish, Inkay, and Rockruff will appear in one-star raids, Tentacruel, Druddgion, and Hisuian Braviary in three-star raids, and Ultra Beast Nihilego will appear in five-star raids. Mega Houndoom will be available in mega raids for the duration of the event.

The Astral Eclipse event will also bring a small aethetic change to the in-game map, with nebula skies visible on the horizon and while catching Pokemon outside of AR mode.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's first week of release has been plagued with bugs, glitches and performance issues--some frustrating, some fun, and others proving useful to creative players. Two new exploits have been discovered that maximize a player's chance of encountering shiny Pokemon--one that allows you to duplicate a shiny spawn, another that increases the chances of a shiny spawning.

The first, as picked up by Video Games Chronicle, was discovered by YouTuber Austin John Plays, and allows players to capture the same shiny Pokemon multiple times when performed correctly. To work, it has to be in an area near an open town, or another area that doesn't require a loading screen to enter.

Onoma Studios, previously known as Square Enix Montreal, is shutting down this week and some of its mobile titles will be going with it. Ahead of the studio's last day on November 24, Onoma announced that Deus Ex Go, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, Arena Battle Champions, and Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes will be shutting down for good on January 4.

The games will be taken off the App Store and Google Play Store as of December 1, and players who already have them downloaded will be able to continue playing until the games shut down for good on January 4. Players will no longer be able to make in-game purchases as of today, and Onoma encourages anyone who made previous purchases to make use of them before the games shut down in January.

While it's common for games to shut down servers or live support for older games, in this case the four titles in question will become completely unplayable as of January 4. The games include popular mobile puzzle game Deus Ex Go, as well as Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, a recent mobile title that released under a year ago.

The other games in Onoma's "Go" series, Lara Croft Go and Hitman Go will not be affected by the studio's closure.

The latest trailer for The Invincible, the upcoming game from Starward Industries and 11 Bit Studios, has shown off more of the mysterious planet of Regis III. An unusually calm planet that appears to be devoid of life, Regis III has become the focus of a new space race that has seen science crews land on the world and begin researching scientific phenomena.

When one of those recon teams goes missing, it'll be up to you to uncover what happened to your lost crewmates and set off on a philosophical adventure set against the backdrop of Regis III's cosmic landscape. As astrobiologist Yasna, you'll uncover fragments of the story and report to your Astrogator while diving into a grand mystery that could lead to a revelation about a grave threat to humanity.

"Soon you'll discover that Regis III holds terrifying secrets which are uncovered while you're piecing together the fate of your crew," the Steam page reads. "And as you delve deeper into the mystery, you realize that perhaps you are not alone, and that some places like this planet are better left untouched. But it's too late to turn back."

Elder Scrolls Online developer Zenimax Studios has been working on new intellectual property for around four and a half years.

The news was spotted by Twitter account Klobrille, a video game commentator who focuses on Xbox Game Studios and Bestheda. They posted a screenshot of what appears to be an internal slide deck at Xbox showing basic facts about Zenimax Studios. The slide lists "new IP" alongside Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Official details about the game or its setting are scarce. However, Klobrille thanked the Twitter account bogorad222, who has separately claimed that this new project is a sci-fi game set in a far future city, involving flying cars and parkour movement.

There are dozens upon dozens of resources out in the world of Frozen Flame. While most of these might seem insignificant to start with, you will slowly realize that you need a majority of the items that you come across--some of them especially.

In the game's early access period, players don't have access to many areas. However, in those areas, you will be able to find all the materials to craft some high-end weapons, armor, and other items. In most of those recipes, you will need an item called Magic Essence. Magic Essence has several different forms, all of which are used for different crafting recipes. No matter which type of Magic Essence you're making, though, you'll have to go through roughly the same process to craft it.

In this guide, we'll simply explain how to make Magic Essence as a whole. This includes what materials and tools you'll need as well as how to find or craft them.

Making Magic Essence

You'll likely first hear of Magic Essence after an hour or two of in-game time. At this point, you will be given a quest to craft Magic Essence. Along with this, you receive all of the resources required to make the item.

The most basic of Magic Essence only requires one item: a Magic Seed. You can go about getting Magic Seeds in one of three ways. The first is to kill the bubbles, or the blue, egg-shaped plants that you see in the starting area. These can become hostile if you go near them, so have some healing items just in case.

Warzone 2.0 is live with the new Al Mazrah map, and the battle royale has added Call of Duty's iconic Tactical Nuke killstreak to the game. Earning something as powerful as a game-ending nuke is a powerful reward, so this is a pretty difficult goal to obtain. Here we'll guide you through all the steps needed to nuke Al Mazrah for yourself.

How to earn a nuke on Al Mazrah

Before you can even start the complicated steps to earning a Tactical Nuke killstreak, you first must achieve the difficult feat of obtaining five wins in a row in Warzone 2. Once you get your five consecutive wins, your sixth match will grant you the Champion's Quest contract.

At the start of your sixth match, the Warzone map will reveal three yellow Warzone logos, and these will all be located relatively close together. Pick any of the three and the quest will activate for you.

The Champion's Quest says, "Assemble the nuke and destroy the warzone." This contract objective requires you to locate the Periodic Elements needed to assemble the nuke, and all of this must be done before the match ends.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are all about the new collection of Pokémon to catch, themed after the Spain-inspired Paldea region. In traditional Pokémon fashion, the three starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are built around their respective elemental type: Grass, Fire, and Water. However, venturing beyond the opening area of Cabo Poco will quickly introduce you to a number of new Pokémon that you can battle and catch in your journeys, allowing you to quickly come into contact with all 18 types and fill out your party of up to six creatures as you choose.

One of the new Pokémon introduced in this latest iteration of the long-running video game series is called Pawmi, and you can easily miss it while running through the grassy plains of the South Province if you don’t look too closely.

Arc System Works has announced that Sin Kiske will be joining Guilty Gear Strive as part of Season Pass 2, set to launch on November 24.

Sin is the child of Ky Kiske, the Allied King of Illyria, and Dizzy, a half-Gear woman. Ky handed over Sin when he was a child to Sol, Ky’s rival. Due to Sin’s Gear blood, he grows up at an accelerated rate. While he is muscular and looks like an adult, he isn’t even 10 years old yet.

Guilty Gear Strive’s Season Pass 2 will include two more characters and battle stages, which are going to be released sometime in 2023. The first character introduced in Season Pass 2 was Bridget back in August.

Guilty Gear Strive is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in Spring 2023.

Getting Palafin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet takes a bit more effort than usual, since the process of evolving Finizen involves going online, but if you can hop online or join a local session, it’s absolutely worth your time. Palafin is one of Scarlet and Violet’s most powerful Water types once you learn how to use them.

How to get Finizen in Scarlet and Violet

Finizen is a bit tricky to find. You have a random chance of encountering them in any of Paldea’s seas. Your Koraidon or Miraidon must recover their ability to swim by defeating the Bombirdier Titan Pokemon in West Province. You can do that around the time of your third Gym battle, but the spawn rates of Pokemon in the oceans seem a bit random.

Whether that’s down to some of Scarlet and Violet’s many glitches or something else isn’t quite certain, but you can find a guaranteed Finizen in one location: West Province Area Two. This broad area is also where you can find Girafarig, though naturally, you should be looking for Finizen in the rivers and ocean.

Once you find Finizen, if you don’t fancy searching for more, consider breeding one with a DItto to get a Finizen Egg.

How to evolve Finizen into Palafin

Unlike Dundunsparce, you don’t need to teach Finizen a specific move to help them evolve. Instead, you need:

A Dunsparce evolution finally exists, though how to get Dundunsparce in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet isn’t the clearest process if you don’t already know what you’re doing. The hardest part, however, is actually finding Dunsparce in Paldea. They’re technically common across most of the region, but a quirk in their nature means getting close enough to capture one takes some extra work.

How to get Dunsparce in Scarlet and Violet

Dunsparce have a low chance of appearing across more than half of Paldea’s map, including:

• South Province Areas One, Three, Four, Five, and Six
• East Province Areas One, Two, and Three
• Alfornada Cavern
• Asado Desert
• West Province Areas Two and Three

Unlike in Dunsparce’s early days, this Normal-type Pokemon doesn’t only live in caves. You have a low chance of spotting them in the grass, in the fields, or wandering about like any other Pokemon. The difference is that Dunsparce flees when you approach, digging a hole and burying itself underground.

If Dunsparce does this, that’s it. They won’t resurface, and you’ll have to wait and find another one. Press the “B” button to crouch and move more slowly, so you won’t alert the Dunsparce. Make sure not to have a Pokemon out running around as well. They may defeat the critter and ruin your chance of catching Dunsparce.

The easiest way to hunt for Dunsparce is to try searching near an area’s borders. If you don’t find one nearby, or if they escape, you can cross over the border into a town or another Area to reset the available Pokemon and try again.

Farigiraf in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is Girafarig’s new evolution, a pumped-up Normal and Psychic dual type with an impressive special attack stat. Finding Girafarig and getting them to evolve is a fairly involved process that takes some time and effort, but Farigiraf occupies a unique spot among Psychic types and packs a mighty mental punch as well.

Where to find Girafarig in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Girafarig only calls one place their stomping grounds: West Province Area Two. This area is one you won’t be able to access until a bit later in your journey, as you need your Koraidon or Miradon to recover their swim ability before you can access this region. Defeating the second titan--Bombardier, also in West Province--unlocks swim, and you should be able to successfully defeat them around the time you complete your third Gym battle.

West Province Area Two is pretty large, but it seems like your best bet for finding Girafarig is in its western portion, just north of the Asado Desert and east of Port Marinada. If you don’t find a Girafarig right away, cross the boundary into Port Marinada and leave again to reset the nearby wild Pokemon.

It took us roughly 10 minutes or so to find a Girafarig, so you may have to repeat this process a few times. You may get lucky and find a Girafarig in some Tera Raids. As far as we can tell, there are no fixed Wild Tera Girafarig in Scarlet and Violet, though, so you would need to just try checking any Tera Dens you come across--a lengthy process and not the best method.

If you don’t want to scour the plains for more, find a Ditto and breed your Girafarig to get some Eggs.

From November 24-28, Overwatch matches will grant double XP, which you can use to catch up on the battle pass before Season 2's launch on December 6. On November 22-26, you can pick up the Junker Queen “Five Fingers” Highlight Intro by logging in. Starting November 27 and ending December 2, you can pick up the Kiriko “On the Wind” Highlight Intro as a log-in reward.

Ramattra is an Omnic tank anti-hero with two forms. In the first form, Omnic, he focuses on defending allies with barriers and dealing long-range damage. In the second form, Nemesis, he turns into an aggressive fighter, cutting down low-health enemies. He will arrive in the game with Season 2 on December 6.

Overwatch 2's latest big patch, and its first major balance patch, nerfed Genji to bring his abilities more in like with other DPS heroes. The patch added aim assist for cross-play PC and console lobbies. The update also restored Mei, who was removed from the game for two weeks due to a bug involving her ice wall ability.

One of the biggest problems with modern Honda vehicles is that you can't have a quick Returnal run inside of them, due to the lack of PS5 consoles slotted directly into those automobiles. That problem could be fixed in a few years, as president and COO of Sony Honda Mobility Izumi Kawanishi recently spoke about installing PS5s into future electric cars as part of the company's joint venture with Sony.

"Sony has content, services, and entertainment technologies that move people. We are adapting these assets to mobility, and this is our strength against Tesla," Kawanishi said to the Financial Times (via IGN), describing a vision to offer more entertainment options in future Honda vehicles.

Sony Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno added that future hardware "will cater to the entertainment and network we would like to offer," essentially allowing Honda to compete with rival electric car manufacturers such as Tesla. According to the Financial Times, these models are expected to launch in 2025, with advancements in "autonomous driving" also being on the cards. Kawanishi did explain that the technology "will have to evolve considerably" before it could be placed into cars, as fully autonomous driving still has a long way to go before it's considered safe enough.

Fortnite Chapter 3 is ending, and the Chapter 3 finale event, Fracture, is less than two weeks away. Today, Epic revealed the first visual tease of the event since its name was revealed during the FNCS. Along with that teaser image come a few other remarks from the developer-publisher, including exactly when you can play, how many friends can join you in your party, and the introduction of a new party-up ability that will ensure no one has to fend off the fracture alone. Here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite Fracture event.

The Fortnite Chapter 3 finale, Fracture, will be a one-time-only event that begins on December 3 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET. As usual, the playlist to get into the event will open up 30 minutes beforehand, and it's recommended you get there early to reserve your spot. I've not heard of anyone being denied entry to similar Fortnite events due to server overload, and Epic seems hellbent on ensuring it can always house every single player who tries to attend, but just in case, getting there early is a good idea.

Typically these events last for about 12-15 minutes and unfold almost like live theater that each player experiences firsthand as a direct participant in the plot. Curiously, Epic noted that players who arrive late can join the event in progress until as late as 40 minutes after it begins, implying this event may go on much longer, or perhaps some element of the event will stay accessible for a while after until servers eventually go offline.

Rainbow Six Siege continues to grow, with Ubisoft confirming that the final season of Year 7, Operation Solar Raid, will launch on December 6--and it's yet another big-time update.

Described as Siege's biggest season yet, Operation Solar Raid adds fan-requested features like cross-play and cross-progression, as well as a new battle pass, a new map, a new Operator, and a new Ranked 2.0 playlist, among other things. The new season also adds Siege's latest crossover event, bringing skins from Square Enix's Nier to the game. Specifically, the skins are inspired by Nier: Automata and Nier Replicant.

Siege's new Operator is Solis, whose signature gadget is a SPEC-IO Electro Sensor that picks up "crucial" information that teams can use to get the upper hand.

"Solis can clearly analyze and identify Attacker devices including drones, breaching devices, and more. Her gloves also allow her to interact with the gadget overlay and trigger a cluster scan. Solis is a medium speed, medium health Operator, carrying the P90 or an ITA 12L as a primary weapon and an SMG-11 as a secondary weapon," Ubisoft said.

An intriguing-looking new PvPvE multiplayer shooter has been announced for console and PC, and you don't have to wait long at all to potentially get to play it for yourself.

The Netherlands-based publisher Upwake.me has announced Hawked, a new "extraction" shooter in the works for PlayStation, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A closed alpha for the title will start November 24 on Steam for PC players; it will showcase the Hunt mode (more on that later).

What is Hawked? It is an online shooter where teams or single players face off to collect and later extract treasure--called Artifacts--on a colorful island. Players will adventure around the island and take on evil monsters known as Disciples as they try to collect treasure. The treasure is valuable, and other teams of human players are competing not only against the AI enemies, but also each other.

In the closed alpha, the Hunt mode--which is Hawked's core experience--will see players racing and fighting to collect Artifacts. Players get points for collecting these, and any Artifacts successfully extracted at the end of a match provide benefits that extend to future matches.

Nintendo Switch Sports is getting its first new sport since the game released in April this year--golf. With 21 holes taken from previous Wii Sports title, the free update will let fans play a casual game of golf with friends online or offline, as well as a competitive knock-out mode called Survival Golf.

The golf update for Nintendo Switch Sports will be free for all players who already own the game, dropping on November 28.

While the update's 21 holes are taken from previous games in the Wii Sports series--of which Nintendo Switch Sports is the first not to have "Wii" in the title--the eight-player online Survival Golf mode is brand new.

Golf will join the six sports that were part of Nintendo Switch Sports from launch--tennis, bowling, chambara (sword fighting), soccer, volleyball, and badminton. A previous major update for the game added improved motion controls for soccer, as well as new volleyball moves.

Pokemon Violet and Scarlet are full of new Pokemon in the Paldea region for players to discover and catch. One of those new Pokemon is Charcadet, a small red knight-like Pokemon that can be quite powerful. Charcadet can evolve into either Armarouge, a Fire/Psychic Pokemon, in Scarlet or into Creuledge, a Fire/Ghost Pokemon, in Violet. Regardless of which version you are playing, you will need to obtain a special item in order to evolve Charcadet.

As for finding a Charcadet, the Pokedex entry lists its habitat as most of the southern half of Paldea. Personally, I found them easiest to find in South Providence Area Three, which is located directly to the East of Mesagoza. They can be difficult to spot due to their small stature, but the bright-red color makes them a bit easier to spot. You can also consume some food that boosts catching fire-type Pokemon to assist with this endeavor.

Pokemon cards are worth money now, and some of them are worth quite a lot of it, too. When (recently retired) NFL player Blake Martinez put his ultra-rare Illustrator Pikachu card up for auction in late October, some estimated the card could be worth upwards of $1 million. While it didn't sell for quite that much, the final price of $672,000 is still an eye-opening figure.

Martinez, who formerly played linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders, recently announced his retirement from professional football to focus on "future passions." It seems that one of these passions is selling Pokemon cards, as this Illustrator Pikachu card is widely considered to be one of the holy grails of that scene. Appraisers graded the card as a 9.5 Gem Mint, which is apparently a half-step away from the best grade possible.

The Illustrator Pikachu card is a promotional card that was available only in Japan. It was given to the winners of a card illustration contest held by a manga magazine. The card became better-known outside of the collecting scene when notorious influencer Logan Paul made his entrance at Wrestlemania 38 with a pristine version of the card. Paul apparently spent millions of dollars on a supposed "first edition base set" of Pokemon cards, only to find that they were, in fact, fake.
