The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening Drops To Lowest Price Ever

1 year 5 months ago

Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series has been on a glorious roll as of late, but if you've been looking for a nostalgic trip back in time that has a few modern comforts, then this Black Friday deal on The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is one that you won't want to miss out on. Available for just $29 at Walmart, this deal on a remade Nintendo classic applies to both the physical and digital versions of the terrific Switch game. This is the lowest price ever for the Switch remake.

Based on the original monochromatic Game Boy classic, this remake of the beloved title puts a fresher spin on the visuals. While it definitely looks like a more modern handheld Zelda game, Link's Awakening still retains the core DNA of its predecessor and only makes a number of small (but meaningful) changes to the experience. That measured approach infuses Link's Awakening with refreshed energy, updating the game for modern audiences while making certain that its legacy isn't lost in the process.

"People speak of Link's Awakening as the secret best Zelda game. That's a tough call to make, but it's definitely one of the best," Peter Brown rote in GameSpot's The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening review. "If you haven't touched a classic Zelda game in a while, Link's Awakening will almost instantly transport you back to the '90s."

For more Nintendo deals, there's plenty to browse through right now. WarioWare: Get It Together and Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be bought for just $29 each, Mario Party Superstars got a big discount, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope comes with a nice little bonus from Amazon.
