3 years 11 months ago

Control, one of the very best games of 2019, isn't done yet. There's still the highly-anticipated AWE add-on which is due sometime in the coming months. But, we've just learned that Control is also moving to the next dimension console generation. Sorry, force of habit.

Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Control will go next-gen, appearing on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The Epic free games are ARK: Survival Evolved and seven classic Samurai Shodowns

3 years 11 months ago

If the Bangles cared more about video games, they'd probably be singing "It's just another Free Game Thursday." It beats the hell out of Monday.

Epic's new round of free video games has an underlying theme of survival. In one, you survive getting eaten by giant hungry dinosaurs. In the other, you survive your opponent's attempts to punch your face through your face.

ARK: Survival Evolved and Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection are both free on the Epic Games Store until the morning of June 18. The Samurai Shodown bundle includes six classic games, and a previously-unreleased "mysterious final version" of Samurai Shodown V Special that's called V Perfect. This is also the debut of Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection; it'll be available on Steam next week for $40, followed by PS4 and Switch in late July.

Next week, it's Chucklefish's turn-based strategy roguelike Pathway, and Shawshank simulator The Escapists 2.

Here's everything that happened at the PS5 Future of Gaming event, including a look at the actual PS5!

3 years 11 months ago

After folks brought out their pitchforks during the recent Xbox Series X event for not showing enough gameplay, Sony pretty much only showed gameplay today for their "Future of Gaming" PS5 stream: with some cinematic panache thrown in for good measure.

There's a lot to unpack today. PS5 games are coming as soon as "holiday 2020," which is when the PS5 actually arrives. A few bangers like Spider-Man: Miles Morales are going to hit that same window (possibly as launch titles), and several are slated for 2021 and 2022. We've gathered up a convenient list for you to peruse below: it's going to take a while.

The big highlights are probably the Demon's Souls remake (the best Souls, do not "at" me), as well as confirmation of the long-rumored "Resident Evil Villlage/Resident Evil VIII" project from Capcom. Others like Pragmata look like they're going to slot in nicely, as is the very expected Horizon Zero Dawn sequel Forbidden West.

We also got a good look at the actual PS5 hardware today. It looks like it was designed straight out of the Bubblegum Crisis universe, and will sport a "standard edition" as well as a "digital edition" with no disc drive.

We still don't know a lot yet. We don't have a price point and we don't have a date. But we are slowly getting there by the grace of the Dripfeed Gods.

Horizon Forbidden West looks like a proper PS5 sequel

3 years 11 months ago

The hits keep on coming. Even if we knew a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel had to be on the way, the trailer for Horizon Forbidden West was one of the best out to come of Sony's PlayStation 5 reveal event.

That bit at the end of the footage with the marching war elephant? Major Lord of the Rings vibes. I love it. And the prospect of going on dives knowing full well there are nasty underwater beasts? Oh no...

Of all the games announced at the showcase, I think the Horizon sequel has the most to live up to.

Capcom's Pragmata looks pretty wild

3 years 11 months ago

Sony's PlayStation 5 future of gaming event has had no shortage of kick ass game reveals, and that includes Capcom's Pragmata, which was low key revealed after a few bombshells like Resident Evil Village

In a trailer that looks like it's straight-up presenting the next Hideo Kojima game, a man in a space suit walks the city streets, where he is greeted by a girl and a holographic cat. Looking up at a tentacle-ridden structure, he grabs the girl and flies around in a crazy action sequence and then ends up looking back at the Earth in space.

Again, this is all extremely Kojima looking, and I'm anxious to hear more. Pragmata is not a PS5 exclusive: it's also coming to the Xbox Series X and PC. It truly is going to be a "next-gen" game too, as it isn't slated to arrive until 2022.

Arkane's Deathloop still has my attention

3 years 11 months ago

It has been about exactly one year since we first heard about Arkane's newest project, so now it's time for the second look. The PlayStation 5 stream is the home to the second Deathloop trailer.

The story's still the same: Rival assassins stuck in a Groundhog Day cycle of killing each other over and over again. It's a cool premise, slick presentation, and Arkane has earned our trust. Deathloop is one to pay attention to.

And this time we probably won't have to wait until June 2021 to get our third look.

[Update: Bethesda has confirmed that Deathloop is a timed console exclusive to PlayStation 5. Further, it's launching this holiday season.]

Chris Redfield returns in Resident Evil Village, with a darker mood than ever before

3 years 11 months ago

The rumours were true. Chris Redfield is back, apparently rocking a terrifying new attitude, in the next entry to Capcom's legendary survival horror franchise, Resident Evil.

Resident Evil Village, as officially revealed during today's PS5: Future of Gaming presentation, looks slathered in rural, gothic horror, with a return to the first-person perspective of Resident Evil VII, and a vintage, almost turn-of-the-century, aesthetic.

Set seven years after the events of The Baker Mansion, players will once again step into the role of troubled Ethan Winters, forced into a brand new nightmare within this mysterious locale, seemingly untouched by time. It looks like fans of the rustic homes and dank, dead forests of Resident Evil 4 are going to be very happy indeed.

After several minutes of grim, artistic terror - featuring frightened villagers, amazing messed-up society queens, and a Universal Studios-style wolf man - the preview concludes with the sudden and violent arrival of long-time series protagonist Chris Redfield... seemingly a shadow of the hero we once knew.

Demon's Souls is back for PlayStation 5 and I have chills

3 years 11 months ago

It's true! As heavily rumored, PlayStation 5 is getting a remake of Demon's Souls from Bluepoint.

You know stuff's about to pop off when Sony's Shuhei Yoshida shows up mid-presentation to introduce one of the games as "very near and dear." The music sent chills down my spine, and then it hit me – the Storm King. The Tower Knight. Wait a sec, this is Demon's Souls! I got my one big wish for the PS5 event.

According to Bluepoint, "This remake invites players to experience the original brutal challenge, completely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced with a new 'Fractured Mode.' In addition to beautiful shadow effects and ray tracing, players can choose between two graphics modes while playing: one focused on fidelity, and one focused on frame rate." The latter for me, any day.

It's unclear what this new mode could be, but either way, there's hope among fans that Bluepoint can build on some of From Software's cut content that didn't make it into the PS3 game. Same goes for the online features, which I hope are expanded. Covenants are one of the best parts of the Souls series.

I should also say that as much as I like the trailer's emotional impact, the screenshots do a much better job of capturing just how far the remake's visuals have come. Purists aren't exactly loving the new art direction – people have a lot to say about the Vanguard boss redesign, in particular – but there's no denying that Demon's Souls has vastly improved fidelity and detail on PS5. I just need it to play well.

Little Devil Inside proves the most oppressive and dangerous journeys can be adorable too

3 years 11 months ago

There's no part of the Little Devil Inside reveal trailer that looks easy-going by any stretch of the imagination. Every second is fraught with peril -- either environmental hazards like giant cliffs, or terrifying creatures like bloodthirsty monsters.

But just get a load of that aesthetic. It's overwhelmingly cute at all times despite those dangers being extremely real and omnipresent. I don't know, something about this game absolutely clicks with me.

Little Devil Inside is another one I can't wait to learn more about.

Astro's Playroom looks like more of a good thing on PS5

3 years 11 months ago

Astro Bot Rescue Mission was a shockingly great 3D platfomer for PlayStation VR that not enough people played. Now, the little bot is back with Astro's Playroom from Japan Studio and Team Asobi.

During Sony's PlayStation 5 showcase today, Astro Bot hopped out of a DualSense controller, and that should've been my first clue that Astro's Playroom is a pack-in. The game will be "pre-loaded on PS5" and each of the four platformer worlds is "based on PS5's console components." Teach me, Astro Bot!

I'm gonna have the trailer jingle in my head all afternoon.

The Octodad studio's Googly-Eyed Strawberry game possibly won the PS5 stream

3 years 11 months ago

We've seen a few wild games today during the PS5 event stream and this title from Octodad's studio called Bugsnax wins by default.

Opening up with a walrus creature eating googly-eyed strawberries, this wild adventure is due out in holiday 2020. Do I even need to explain it? There's bugs, there's snacks. There's weird ass characters. It'll probably be a laugh-out-loud great time.

It's not just exclusive to the PS5, though. Developer Young Horses confirms that it will be arriving on the PS4 and the Epic Games Store (PC) as well.

2K Games has announced that the newest entry in its annual basketball series, NBA 2K21, will return the court on PS5 this fall.

A short teaser trailer - premiered during today's PS5: The Future of Gaming live stream - didn't showcase any match footage, but did show off the new built-from-the-ground-up engine, which features slick animation and highly realistic character models. Check out NBA star Zion Williamson, (or at least his digital counterpart), in rim-rockin' action.

Jett: The Far Shore is a futuristic PS5 game from Superbrothers

3 years 11 months ago

I'm not living in the year 3,000, but if I were, I'd totally understand Jett: The Far Shore.

The holiday 2020 PlayStation 5 game from Superbrothers and Pine Scented looks intriguing as hell. It's about people who, in the face of "oblivion," are forced to "carve out a future" on a distant planet.

You'll play as Mei, a scout investigating something called the hymnwave on a "mythic ocean planet." There's a ton of backstory, but Jett is an exploration game with "relaxed" first-person segments and a "robust mysterious endgame where the open-world immersive sim elements flourish."

"Underneath Jett's cinematic narrative and the distinct Superbrothers tone there's a broad systemic open world to roam around in, and pockets of threat or mystery to problem solve," said technical lead Patrick McAllister. As evidenced by the trailer, Scntfc's audio design and score are a major facet.

Superbrothers' Craig D. Adams called the PS5's 3D audio processing "revelatory" on the PlayStation Blog. "This may sound silly, but with the PS5 it's as if you really have ears in a videogame for the first time. There is suddenly an unprecedented fidelity available for perceiving audio spaces."

Would you like to know more? I would like to know more.

Annapurna's Solar Ash looks suitably beautiful and eccentric

3 years 11 months ago

Annapurna Interactive has revealed its next esoteric release. The teaser trailer for Solar Ash was debuted during today's PS5: The Future of Gaming event, and it looks vibrant and strange, as one would expect from the studio.

The short video feature a tall figure, thrust into a bizarre, highly-stylized universe, where they are confronted by a domineering figure. Thrown asunder, our protagonist makes their way through a short, third-person environment, before hitching a ride of a giant... something.

Whatever's going on, it looks absolutely stunning.

Hitman III is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X in early 2021

3 years 11 months ago

YES! Hitman III is coming, and we can finally start a new adventure instead of living vicariously through the shadow of Hitman II. IO Interactive calls this the "end of the World Assassination trilogy," and gave us a glimpse of the Dubai stage, which will provide all sorts of Hitman antics, I'm sure.

As confirmed on the official PlayStation Blog, progress from Hitman II will carry over in some fashion: likely a form of playing old missions within the Hitman III shell. More news will be arriving "in the coming months," and the game will have a "much darker tone" compared to recent iterations. Atmosphere is a huge selling point for the IO Interactive team, which promises a "very real sense of closure."

Hitman III is due in January 2021, and it will not be leaving the "previous" generation behind. It'll launch on both PS4/PS5, as well as Xbox One/Series X and PC! So pretty much everything but Switch.

GhostWire: Tokyo is out next year

3 years 11 months ago

It feels like forever ago when Ghostwire: Tokyo was announced, but today at the PS5 event we finally were able to get a good look at it.

Tango Gameworks has mostly been silent, but now the curtain is pulled back and honestly I'm a little more scared than I was at launch: of the content that is, not the quality! This is one wild looking game, and the premise is still just as intriguing: "Investigate the streets of a Tokyo beset by spirits and supernatural threats with an arsenal of powerful tech and elemental abilities at your command."

Ghostwire Tokyo is due in 2021. Bethesda has confirmed to Destructoid that it is a PS5 console exclusive, as is Deathloop (both will also come to PC).

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a gorgeous PS5 action-adventure game

3 years 11 months ago

During the PlayStation 5 reveal event, Ember Lab – "a small team with a background in film and animation" – showed Kena: Bridge of Spirits, an action-adventure title that very much fits that expertise.

Kena looks like it'll capture the magic and whimsy of a great animated film, and the young heroine has a bow and arrow, so you know this game will be at home on a PlayStation console. As for the little critters she can command in and out of combat, they're "spirit companions called the Rot." How sinister!

Kena's goal is to revitalize her village and "restore the beauty of the land."

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is aiming for holiday 2020, and surprisingly, it's not just releasing on PS5 – an after-the-fact press release mentioned a PS4 edition and PC version via Epic Games Store

Until then, make sure to check out Ember Lab's Majora's Mask - Terrible Fate fan film from 2016.

Destruction AllStars for the PS5 looks all sort of '90s and I'm here for it

3 years 11 months ago

Today during the very E3-feeling PS5 stream, Sony showed off Destruction Allstars, and whatever it is, I'm in.

Nothing seems off limits here. There's car destruction, running on foot, wall-running, hanging off car windshields and drop kicking. All of it is framed around a blood sport-esque Twisted Metal vibe, with the goal of "wrecking as many cars as possible." Wicked.

We need more silly games like this amid a giant onslaught of very serious AAA vibes these events typically give off.

Stray is a peculiar PS5 game about a cat in a robot world

3 years 11 months ago

After a few high-profile sequels during the PS5 reveal event, Sony shifted the spotlight to Stray, an animal adventure game in which humans are seemingly long gone and robots walk the graffiti-tagged streets. For a split-second, I had Tokyo Jungle flashbacks before I came to my senses. Let me dream.

With assistance from Annapurna Interactive, the team at BlueTwelve was inspired by the real-world Kowloon Walled City for Stray's setting. "Exploring the strange world we are building feels really fresh when you're sneaking under a car, or walking the rooftops with the inhabitants below unaware of your presence. Or if you want them to be aware, you can just meow endlessly to annoy them."

The game revolves around exploration, puzzles, and more "fast-paced action sequences." Stray isn't launching until 2021, but it looks like a cool wildcard release, especially coming from Annapurna.

The publisher is calling this a "PlayStation 5 console exclusive."

Square Enix announces Project Athia from Luminous Productions

Luminous Productions doesn't have a lot of games under its belt, but that's about to change. Founded a few years back with the Stadia version of Final Fantasy XV already out in the wild, the studio is going to really hit the ground running with their new title: Project Athia.

There isn't much known right now other than that it features a woman protagonist kicking all sorts of ass with magical powers, running across a fantasy-like zone full of idyllic mountains and ruins.

Square Enix says that it's "designed exclusively for PS5," which is just short of calling it a potential PS5 console exclusive. It is not a pure exclusive, as it was also confirmed for PC directly following the stream.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart sees the duo's grand return on PS5

3 years 11 months ago

During today's PlayStation Future of Gaming presentation, PlayStation Studios revealed a brand-new, built-from-the-ground-up sequel to the beloved Ratchet & Clank franchise.

The reveal opened with an exciting cinematic, which saw the dynamic duo literally falling through a series of wildly different, colourful universes. The short ended with Ratchet dropping out of the dimension entirely, followed by the debut of a mysterious new lady Lombax... But who is she?

PlayStation Studios then showcased some gameplay footage from the new adventure, which saw Ratchet & Clank engage in classic third-person action within a stunning, particle-filled environment. Seemingly a tech-seller, Rift Apart will utilise the PS5's ray-traced visuals and SSD storage to create beautiful, ever-changing, lively new worlds. This looks like an adventure crafted specifically to show off the new hardware. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales should be an early no-brainer for PS5 players

3 years 11 months ago

How does Insomniac Games follow up its incredible Spider-Man PS4 game? With another one, of course!

During today's PS5 reveal event, Insomniac showed the first glimpse of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a holiday 2020 release slated for PlayStation 5. The last game was a remarkable first step, and there's no doubt in my mind that the developers can go even further – drop the wonky stealth segments, please.

That said, the timing and protagonist shift are interesting. I'm curious about the scope of this story. I need closure for Harry Osborn, but I'm not convinced I'll get any until a numbered sequel happens.

"Players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man," noted Sony. "With PS5's ultra-fast SSD, players can near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel's New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles's web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller's haptic feedback."

I'm gonna have to rewatch Into the Spider-Verse this weekend.

GTA V is coming to PS5, every PS5 owner will get GTA Online free at launch

3 years 11 months ago

Welp, it figures that Rockstar would kick off the PlayStation 5 stream.

As announced on stream, GTA V is coming to the PS5, "expanded and enhanced." Everyone who owns a PlayStation 5 will get GTA Online for free "for the first three months" following launch, and starting today, PS4 players (with PS Plus) get $1M in GTA cash every month until GTA V PS5 launches in 2021. That PS5 GTA V launch is going to happen "in the second half of 2021," so "please look forward to it," as they say. And enjoy the year and a half (give or take) of free cash.

Here's what Rockstar says is coming in the sequel:

"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever."

It's a nice cross-generational bonus given that pretty much everyone and their grandmother who wants to play GTA V already has at this point. But this is also a clear play from Rockstar to get people into GTA Online with the next-generation of consoles, ready to spend their real cash on GTA cash all over again.

It also might be a decent time for a replay! It's been a while.

Come watch the PS5 reveal event live with us

3 years 11 months ago

Sony's meandering marketing rollout for the PlayStation 5 has all been building up this afternoon. We're finally gonna see some games. Maybe more! Sony's PS5: The Future of Gaming stream starts at 1:00 p.m. Pacific, and if you're looking for a site to watch along with, this community's about to let loose.

Officially, Sony has promised "a first look at the games you'll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday" from larger and smaller studios "that span the globe." Unofficially, the rumors are wild.

The hour-long PS5 event is an exciting moment made even more electric given the lack of E3 this year. Can you feel it in the air? Say what you will about the expo – it was in a rough spot even before the pandemic – but I'm missing the old one-week schedule for publisher press conferences. It's a weird turn of events that, coming in, Sony's stream today has a bigger "E3 vibe" than any other recent showcase.

Will all of our questions be answered? Not a chance. Will we catch a glimpse of the hardware? Hopefully. Will any of the rumors pan out? You know which one I'm rooting for above all.

It's worth reiterating that Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan considers this event to be one step in a "series of PS5 updates." Looking beyond June, there will still be "much to share with you."

Here's a 15 minute rundown of the upcoming western-themed Borderlands 3 DLC

3 years 11 months ago

Borderlands 3 is still gearing up to unleash its third DLC pack on June 25 â — Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption.

Following up the assault on a neon casino and Lovecraftian hell-on-Earth motifs, this western-themed DLC will introduce new characters and an addition world into the mix alongside of new activities and a self-contained storyline. If you're anxious to dive in, Gearbox has released 15 minutes of footage for the add-on, which you can watch below.

Don't worry: there aren't any major story spoilers or anything. It doesn't even kick off with a cinematic, it just gets right into gameplay and open world roaming. Although I was pretty pumped for the premise, the footage here doesn't really do it for me. Hopefully the final version and the narrative will give it context.

In other Borderlands 3 news, Takedown at the Guardian Breach, which was delayed last week, is available today. You can also catch that trailer below.

Put off Snake Pass all these years? It's free on Humble right now

3 years 11 months ago

Snake Pass is the perfect storm for "I'll get to it later." It's a novel and cute game with a nontraditional locomotion scheme, that much is good. But, it got middling review scores as the consensus seemed to be that all the snake stuff wore thin before long, like you got the gist of it early on and the game never really built on itself. That's the formula for passing until it's cheaper.

Well, it doesn't get much cheaper than free. Humble is giving away Snake Pass for the next three days. Just slither on over here and redeem it before 10am Pacific on Sunday June 14.

This is a fantastic confluence of events because Snake Pass is a game I love to recommend, but not one I recommend paying much for. Learning how to be a snake is genuinely satisfying and brilliant. Video games don't often challenge our perception of movement anymore, and having trouble simply sidewinding along the ground is a humbling experience.

But, once you've gotten the hang of it, Snake Pass stretches on for far too long, turning elaborate obstacle courses into giant collectathons. Use this Humble opportunity to see what it's like being a snake and then dip out before the tedium and frustration overwhelm you.

Wasteland 3's weird factions include a party of Reagan fanatics

3 years 11 months ago

As part of IGN's Summer of Gaming presentation, Deep Silver has released another cheery trailer for its post-apocalyptic sequel Wasteland 3. Set in a devastated Colorado, the new preview introduces players to some of their fellow survivors, forced to do whatever it takes to thrive in the harsh aftermath of global destruction.

The video name-checks several dangerous new factions that players will encounter on their journey through Wasteland 3, but we only get to learn a little about a handful of them. First on the agenda is The Patriarch's Marshals, a fascistic law regime designed with "selective" law and order in mind. Things get very weird with the introduction of The Gippers, a band of survivors eagerly awaiting the second coming of their legendary messiah, Ronald Reagan. No, seriously. They even have a laser-firing statue and a Max Headroom-style hologram of President Ronnie.

Following four weeks of huge/first-party releases in a row (Wonderful 101, Minecraft Dungeons, Xenoblade, Clubhouse Games), we're back to being low key this week on the eShop.

Summer in Mara is easily the highlight this week (due on June 16), alongside of Evan's Remains, but other than that it's a lot of ports and older releases. Amazingly, even the 3DS is getting in on this quieter period, which is just as well since the  eShop is going to explode next week when the new Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC arrives.

Here are your choices this week:

Rainbow Six Siege free-to-play weekend now live

3 years 11 months ago

Stressful week? Fancy increasing the tension sevenfold? Then maybe you should dive into twitchy online shooter Rainbow Six Siege, which is free to play on all platforms this weekend.

From today until Sunday, June 14, PS4, PC, and Xbox One users can test their mettle in Ubisoft's popular multiplayer title, which sees squads of highly trained specialists engage in nervous, every motion counts showdowns. The free trial includes access to all modes, maps, and Siege's 20 "legacy" operators, so you can keep your mitts off my gal N0kk.

If you decide to kick down the barricade on a full purchase, then Rainbow Six Siege is currently enjoying a discounted price in all of its retail forms. There are savings to be made whether you just want the base title right through the Deluxe, Gold, and Ultimate editions. Any progress from the weekend will be carried over into the purchase.

That next major Siege event is the arrival of Year 4's second season, Operation Steel Wave. This event brings with it a reworked House map, as well as two new operators in the form of Norwegian breacher Ace, and South African tracking specialist Melusi. Drone-lovin' operator Echo will also be receiving a ninja-themed Elite Skin. Operation Steel Wave is expected to go live on the main server very soon.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

Xenoblade is 10 years old this week, Nintendo celebrates with some new art

3 years 11 months ago

Xenoblade Chronicles was released on June 10, 2010 in Japan. It would arrive in Europe a little over a year later and in North America in April of 2012. Although a lot of folks might not recall that Xenoblade is a decade old, it technically is!

To celebrate this landmark of an anniversary for a series that doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon, Monolith Soft and Nintendo have released new artwork for it. Uniting the cast of multiple games, Shulk and Rex are front and center with their powerful swords, alongside of Xenoblade Chronicles X's Elma, who is dual wielding her blades. Although X gets left out of the conversation a lot, I hope it also gets the Switch treatment it deserves, so the entire series is on one platform.

You can find two versions of the art below: including the Japanese edition that cuts off the word "Chronicles" and gives us a fuller perspective. As one of our readers pointed out, you can find the "clean" version (without the logo) here!

This Sakura Wars Nendoroid is just too cute for words

3 years 11 months ago

If you're a fan of new Sakura Wars hero, Sakura Amamiya, but found Volks' $700 doll just a little on the pricey side, then you'll be pleased to hear that the Flower Division's trademark klutz is to be immortalised in Good Smile Co's Nendoroid range.

The Sakura Amamiya Nendo showcases the aspiring actor and part-time demon slayer in her traditional kimono garb, complete with a choice of cheerful and "had enough of your shit" faceplates. Standing a dinky four inches in height, Sakura comes packaged with several cute accessories, including her trusty broomstick, her mother's Imperial Blade, and a novel front plate replicating a typical Sakura Wars dialogue box.

If you'd like to pick up this heart-melting figurine for yourself, then pre-orders are open right now at the Good Smile Co. website, ahead of her December 2020 release date. Sakura Amamiya costs ¥4,727, (roughly $45 USD), not including shipping or any potential customs charges. Now... Where's Hatsuho?

Sakura Wars is available now exclusively on PS4.
