Xbox Will Also Refund Cyberpunk 2077 Digital Purchases But Is Keeping the Game on the Store

3 years 4 months ago

Microsoft announced that it is expanding its refund policies for Cyberpunk 2077.

The house of Xbox is offering full refunds on the game to anyone who purchased it digitally on the Xbox Store until further notice.

The notice recognizes that CD Projekt RED has worked hard to ship the game under challenging circumstances, but at the same time acknowledges that users have been dissatisfied by their experience on Xbox One.

Microsoft also offered instructions on how to get a refund.

Unlike Sony, Microsoft has not delisted Cyberpunk 2077 from its store, and the game remains available for purchase.

This comes after the game was met by harsh criticism due to running poorly on old-generation consoles.

CD Projekt RED had already committed to supporting the refunds and fixing the issues affecting the game a few days ago.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PS4 (if you can find a physical copy), Xbox One, and PC. It has also been confirmed to be coming for Xbox Series X and PS5 down the line with upgrades available for those who purchase the game for the current generation of consoles.
